Her breath started to become more rapid and shallow as the attacks that were swung at her became faster. Not use to the weight of the blade and the extension of practice she was easily getting tired. Eventually her blocks became sluggish and messy as his throws nearly bashed her blade on her. But her focus was sharp like the tip of a dagger.
And then, a sweat drop fell into her eye. And at the mere split second when her eye closed on instinct, she felt his blade slide through one of her blocks and nicked her on the wrist.
Annoyed, and more angry at herself, the Priestess ran backwards from his flurry and launched back onto him with a few lucky swipes that managed to slip past his guard.

Flamgra flashed a wicked grin as she became frustrated and flustered. Her attacks got faster, but her form and style was lacking. His guard dropped for a moment in over confidence. Parrying her blow rather improperly he knocked the blade upward and it skimmed the tip of his chin. Drawing a little blood he took a step back and wiped it from his face.
"Good speed, but don't get too angry. Your anger causes loss in form, which is good for striking, but lousy for defending. You leave yourself vulnerable" Flamgra smiled and showed her what he meant as he swung a false swipe at her. In her exhaustion and rage,it would be a semi difficult one to block.

Briza did manage to block his swipe. She wasn't the aggressive type. The moment he stepped back and told her that her form was lacking because of her rage, her mood instantly dropped. Being that she was use to the feminine power of mind reading, she was fluent in the skill of reverse psychology, even on herself.
She used what little adrenaline she had left to overpower her exhaustion which enabled her to focus.
She caught his swipe and locked her hilt with his. Her hand was starting to shake from lack of strength. She fell to her knees and in one last spurt of energy, she managed to throw him off of her. Her hand held up over her head to halt him, "Wait!...."
Her eyes then narrowed and closed as her hand rubbed her temple. She then opened them wide and looked up at Flamgra, "Mother has returned from First House. A meeting will be called. We must be ready," she then started to get up, swaying as she did so.

The driftdisk dropped off Lariexith at the front gates. The guards then rushed out from their hideouts to open the gates for their Matron. Lari paid the guards no heed. She even pushed past them as she stormed up the pathway, her head raised high, her expression stern.
Vic'tyrr waited for her, standing beside the entrance to the Guest House, "I assume the meeting with First House did not fall into your favor, M'lady?"
Lariexith then spun her heels on him and gave him a sharp glare as if she were about to sentence the death of him with the wrath of Lolth herself, "I want to call a House meeting as soon as possible! We have much to discuss. Our plans have been changed," at this Lariexith set her glare in the distance, "Have Briza report to me before the meeting," and with that, the Matron swooped into the Guest House and teleported to her Throne Room.

Flamgra pulled off his assault and flashed a wicked grin. She was impressive but far from a master. Given enough time she could make quite the blades fighter, perhaps even a Lolth touched assassin. Should Lolth grant Briza her favor.
"Alright, then I must prepare. May I have my leave?" Flamgra hung the training blades on the wall in their usual spot. A well kept weapon was a good weapon, even if it was just a trainer blade. How one does in training, reflects how one does in battle. Even when caring for equipment.

Aunae was ready. Despite the fact, she had to stripe herself of her family's last name and her dress wasn't up to her standards. A breath and another step forward, she fidgeted with strap that held her arm sleeve to her dark blue shirt. And then check her navy pants. The fabric was so loss and flowing, the pants appeared to be skirt. Impractical, her mind demanded. But pretty. But highly unneeded. The itch was starting, it was spreading under her arm sleeve. She shook her to clear her thoughts. "Greeting, is it possible that I could join this house?" She called up to gate guards. She dusted off her bag. I should clean this. Won't they-Stop with the stupid thoughts. Stupid thoughts don't get you in.

Vic'tyrr rolled his back over a stalagmite to exit his hiding spot and approach the gate to view the visitor, "So you wish to join House Tor'afin? What skills do you possess and what position do you seek, m'lady?"
At this, Vic'tyrr suddenly swept into a bow. Normally Vic'tyrr wouldn't have shown any humility, but being that it was a female coming to search for work, Vic'tyrr felt obligated to show the respect.

Aunae felt even more shaken. Strangely the bow put at her at ill ease. Calm, she told her self. Seek the calm.
"I am a mage seeking to further my study. I have had training as a maid," She stated. Her eyes glittered, her mouth set. I have much I can do for this house. The goddess clearly praises this place of nobility. She thought flicking her gaze up at the carvings. I have chosen the perfect House. There is no reason to doubt.

Without another word, Vic'tyrr then stepped back into the shadows. A set of guards approached the gate to allow her entrance. After they finished opening the gate, they then stood on either side of the path, still as statues but their forms looked lithe and agile as if they would snap to action at any threatened moment.
A small, obscured heat signature, appeared in the black mist and steadily grew larger as Vic'tyrr was seen riding atop his lizard mount toward the entrance. He approached the female at a respected distance and whistled and motioned for her to follow him, "I shall take you to the Guest House! Matron Lariexith will be meeting with you there!" And with that, the guard captain then turned his mount about and started heading back up the path, into the mist.

Aunae could sense the canine grin spreading across her face. The thrill. The chance that her planning and training hadn't gone for nothing. The first obstacle was meet with unease, but ended well.
I can not let my weakness show to this matron, she thought following the mounted warrior towards where she assumed the guest should be. Its imperative that you show her that you are strong enough to join this house. A house so clearly favor my the spider queen...I should find... This thoughts weighted down on her as she stepped past the mist covered gates and foreboding guards.

As the two walked through the mist, it slowly began to clear to show the Courtyard of Tor'afin. Through the towering stalagmites on either side of the path could be seen a stretch of land covered in all sizes of fungi and lichen. Deep rothe and cave swines were herded about the property by the farmer/shepherd slaves. Although the land looked beautiful, to the trained eye, one would focus more on the leaning stalagmites on either side of the path. Paned windows that glowed with faerie fire showed the outlines of drow peering through. But just 3 feet below the windows were small slits where the second set of archers peek and shoot from. The sound of cocking crossbows were heard but no fire emitted from them.
Vic'tyrr lead the way up a hill where the path began to fork. The straighter path lead toward the larger house that peeked around a clutter of stalagmites, stalactites, and boulders. The path that curved toward the right lead to a small building resembling a little more then a hut. Archers stood above the building in the rafters, pointing their crossbows down. Vic'tyrr rode right up to the doors and parked him and his lizard mount beside the door as he made a motion for the female to enter.
Inside were navy blue couches and seats, a coffee table in the center, a long table set with food towards the back, indents in the walls that either had a guard or braziers that glowed with dim blue faerie fire. One indented wall had nothing. It was arched and had runes and engravings over it.
"Please make yourself comfortable while I send word to the Matron and have her meet with you."

She nodded her understanding.Considering that her tone of her words might betray her emotions. Her eyes scanned the room and decide that the couch seemed to the safest and most well position place to sit. As she settled her bags into a position that would allow her to grab them quickly, but not get in the way if she need to move just as fast. She looked about the room. Odd to see blue faerie fire after so much time, but soon it will become common. She thought reflecting on her old place of study. Letting her eyes travel she noted the runes, wonder if she could identify them. You need to focus on persuading the Matron of this place. Not concerning your self on new runes. She snapped at herself. But I know I won't have long to wonder about those spells. Soon I'll know them all, but for now. Persuasion tactics.

Vic'tyrr stepped out of the Guest House as the female went inside and made herself comfortable. He then shut the door behind and signed at the archers in the drafters overhead, Do not be fooled. She seems more then harmless but keep your guard up.
He then darted around behind a leaning stalagmite in the shadows and took out his House brooch to send a message to the Matron, -I have a female drow here who is looking for work. She doesn't seem to have the strength or the confidence to be a Noble based on my own personal perspective. But, she is a mage. And I know how you value mages, M'lady. Shall I let you take care of it or shall I assign her her duties?- Lariexith was going through her room at the time. Gathering paperwork and the like to prepare for the meeting at hand. Just then, her House brooch glowed as it received the guard captain's message. The message was then sent to her telepathically. Piling the papers into one arm she then pulled out her brooch and placed it near her mouth, "HANDLE IT! I have much more important matters to take care of. I would like to eventually meet her but I cannot meddle with commoners at the moment! You handle most of the commoners so you should know what to do."Vic'tyrr took the message same as Lari, telepathically. Without responding, he then placed his brooch away and strolled back inside the Guest House to view the female, "My apologies, m'lady. But the Matron is busy with other affairs right now and cannot meet you at the current moment. However, she has granted you work," at this the guard captain then snapped his fingers as a goblin slave appeared through the door at once to stand by his master's side, "Follow the goblin. He will take you to the lower levels of the House. You will arrive in the Arcane Wing where all the magic users are sent. This is where you will probably be spending the most of your time. The Archmage can be found in this building and you will be attending your classes with him at this place. The library is your study. Here you will find every bit of knowledge and script we have collected over the years. The deities, history of drow, the House lore, ancient magic and remedies. In the back of the library is a room, the apothecary, where you will be assigned to your own cauldron and basic herb stock. This will also be part of your duties. Healing, tending, and assisting to those who come for remedies, salves, and potions. Upstairs are forbidden unless ordered to enter by command of the Archmage. And downstairs are the summoning chambers where you will be tested against other magic users as well as summoning lessons with your professor.
In the South of the lower levels are three compounds. Poison Dagger Inn where you will be served your meals, Mid Class Dorms where you will be assigned a dorm, and the dungeons which I don't see you spending any sort of time near unless you upset the Matron," at this Vic'tyrr flashed a wicked grin before continuing, "In the North is the Royal Sanctum where you will be required to visit every day to attend daily Mass to pay homage to the Spider Queen. This is also the place where the Lady likes to host balls in the community ballroom which you will be required to attend if invited. This is also where all of the Royals and Nobles can be found. If you need to get a hold of anyone there is always slaves running about.
Also you will be receiving training in the Courtyard as well. You will get to know the plants very well in the garden for you may be sent out to gather herbs. You will also be apart of the House's bio-weapon defense. The training for this will be hosted by the Matron herself. And mount training is optional. You will also be required to sign this," Vic'tyrr then pulled a scroll from his chest pocket and handed it off to the female.

Aunae keep a serene and calm expression on her face as she listened to the 'reason' for the Matron missing. She nodded, but internal she had regained her barring and understood. So in truth, she does not have time to bother with potential people. They've probably dubbed me as a weak, I'll just have to prove otherwise. She thought as she listened to the list of her duties. In her opinion this was less work then normal. As a lady's maid in training, she hadn't even had time to really eat. When the form was handed to her, she signed with an elegant scripted and then handed it back saying,"I understand. I'm ready to beginning serving this House." She then stood taking her bags in hand and followed the thing out, trying hard not to gag from the smell and look of the thing.
