And you look very cute, too. heart
Yes, my feedable is in my randomizer... didn't realize that he couldn't be fed at the time I put him in there, but was tired of certain pieces of my art being stolen. Nowadays I use him to bump with as the artist who made these isn't doing them anymore. sad

we have one in another guild, we put her on the home page so we see her and remember to feed her daily, she's doing ok now, but i do notice that the figures for the most fed/happiest pet never changes, so i assume that died along with the demise of site rolleyes

That wouldn't surprise me... and that's a great idea! I should put him on the front page.

Yay! I'm so glad poor old In Trouble's on the front page, so we can feed him up - his declining condition was worrying... Now he can be the guild mascot and get petted and adored xd

I have had a really hard couple of weeks... first involving the new baby and the troubles involved in that... second, finding out a friend of my son's has been diagnosed with HIV (he has called me Mom for 4 years)... third, a close friend of my lost his mother to cancer last weekend...
Well, I went to the funeral and the gathering after it yesterday. The whole thing went very well, she was a wonderful woman who loved life... one of the comments that was brought up by one of the speakers, something someone said to my friend when we were young, "does your mom fix dessert with every meal?" That one was where I broke down and cried, I was at their house when that was said. We talked about all the fun we had there when we were young, log rolling down the hill (they have a very steep hill going towards the Mississippi river. Some people, even people older than me (40+) went log rolling down the hill (I counted 15 + turns for most the people that went down)... We had a lot of good food (his mother set up the caterers before she died) and a lot of good conversation. It was a sad reason for a gathering, but it was wonderfully done. I seen teachers and principals from when I was in school, I seen parents of friends I had growing up, lots of people I hadn't seen since high school, (20+ years ago).

I don't want to start another topic, but I have a question that I want to see what type of answers I get...
I have been stewing about my son's friend and him finding out he has HIV... it really has been bothering me and the part of it that bothers me the most is that so many kids these days are or think they are bi-sexual. Why is it such an in thing to be bi or gay these days? Is it a temporary fad? Are our kids putting themselves at a lot larger risk for HIV because of this interest? Is the HIV virus going to spread a lot faster because of this trend?
Help me out with this one. Even my daughter, who has a steady boyfriend and is comfortable with the heterosexual relationship she is in thinks she could be bi-sexual. Are kids thinking because they find themselves admiring someone of the same sex that they are bi-sexual?
I am not against the gay/lesbian population, I have no problem with the lifestyle they choose to live. My questions and concerns are for the young (and older) people that are trying it just because it is something to try. If a person is gay then they are, but if they are getting into same sex physical relationships just because it is the thing to do, I just do not understand that.

My response is fairly long, Jo. I'm not going to fill up the forum with it, but will PM you instead. You're in the midst of some very difficult and stressful situations right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

i do think that kids these days think it's 'cool' to be gay or bi, or failing that emo or bi-polar stressed are todays children even more easily influenced than previous generations? i KNOW that teens are very easily manipulated, mainly because they haven't developed a sense of self yet, so they feel the need to follow the herd, and be individual by looking just like everyone else rolleyes
i'm eternally thankful that i was an unpopular geek at school and didn't feel the need to fit in sweatdrop

Thank you for your comments, I am just so worried for our kids... It's hard enough to teach them about the STD's out there that are not life threatening, let alone the ones that either stay with you forever or will kill you. I just don't want to see them make it harder on themselves and the generations to come.
