Caine held back a laugh at what Merena said. She knew him all too well. He leaned over and wrapped his arm around her waist for a moment, planting a quick kiss on her cheek before sitting upright again.

So right then, she decided to not do anything if something happened. dont take sides... it was the only thing she could do.*

Caine grinned at her, and decided to change the subject. At this rate, Jade wasn't even going to show up. Not that he particuarlly cared much, he would just have that much fun later with her when he saw her next. BUt for now, he was with Merena.
"So....what have you been up to lately in my absence...anyone I need to kill, like for throwing dead roses or something...?"
He smirked slightly, remembering what happened the last time he saw Merena.

Caine scratched the back of his head a little. He was never good on following the events at the Palace, and had just given up on trying. So he felt a bit awkward at the moment.
