The small wolf recognized the seal instantly. Confident of his choice he place his black paw on the image of a boar. Unlike some of the others he was 100% sure he was right this time. And he was. Upon hearing Aryza's approval he wagged his tail.

Good puppy. Treat.

His thoughts were very simple. He was being a good puppy again so that meant he would get a treat. He then began to wonder how many of those delicious meat pieces the man had. The more the better. Of course it probably meant he'd have to do more things to get them but the cub didn't mind. With how good those treats were he'd do about anything to get another one.

The pep talk had worked. Kuroi once again had his mind on the task at hand.

"Good boy. 7 down 5 more to go!"

She took a few moments to remember the seals they had done. They were, the Rat, Horse, Ox, Dragon, Hare, Bird and Boer. Which meant the Dog, Tiger, Snake, Ram and Monkey were left. Closing her eyes she made the Ram seal. Once the seal had been successfully made she opened her eyes to watch Kuroi's choice, while still maintaining the seal.

I wonder if Taiju-san will give me a treat or reward too.....

Kuroi had known this seal the whole time. He just hadn't been able to do it earlier because of Aryza's little distraction. Not long after she made the seal his paw was on the right image. He gazed up at his master to see her smiling. Things were starting to go a while lot better. He didn't know how to really count left but he was smart enough to figure out by himself that there were very few pictures left. One of a dog, snake, tiger and monkey.

Wagging his tail he waited as patiently has he possible could for his owner to make the next seal. He was anxious to get this over with and do something else.

I feel like a hypocrite. Especially after all that pep talk towards Kuroi telling him to focus when I just barely did that same thing myself.

Seeing him pick the right image she smiled in approval. He was a smart cub, well at least that was what she thought. Not many of the other dogs at the compound seemed found of him though but that was probably due to the fact that he hadn't been breed there.

Returning her thoughts to the task at hand she resumed making the seals for Kuroi to lean. This time she made the monkey seal.

Aryza's heart beat ever so slowly as she saw Kuroi's paw start to go onto the right image but then suddenly it stopped in mid air. She held her breath why was he hesitating!? All he had to do was lower it a bit more and VIOLA he'd be successful. He never brought his paw down though. Well he did but it wasn't to place on teh picture. Before she knew it Kuroi had bolted off chasing something. She just sat there shocked for a few moments with her mouth open. She just couldn't believe it! He had been so close, so, so close! And then he just had to chasing a.....BUTTERFLY!

Recovering from the shock and surprise she jumped to her feet and yelled out at her disobedient cub. "KUROI! GET BACK HERE YOU DAMN MUTT!" She breathed a few times to calm herself down. "I'm sorry....I don't mean to yell but you were so close..." she felt like crying. This scene was just so pathetic. Taiju was probably getting a good laugh that was if he had actually noticed it. He seemed to be pretty preoccupied in figuring out what was wrong with the girl.

"Come on Kuroi. We are almost finished just wait a bit longer." Sitting back down on the grass she waited for her cub to return. As she did so she remade the seal.

He had been just about to put his paw on what he had thought was the right animal when something small and colorful caught his attention. Slowly he turned his head a bit to the side to see what it was. Flying ever so gracefully over some flowers was a butterfly. Gently and slowly in stopped to set itself on a tulip. One thought and one thought only went through his mind.

BUTTERFLY!

Every puppy instinct in him screamed 'CHASE IT' and so he did. Like a flash of lighting he pounced at the insect trying to catch it in his mouth. He failed though. The butterfly flying off in the knick of time. He wasn't going to leave it at that though. He chased it. Jumping from time to time in the air only for the thing to dodge him and go in another direction.

Hearing some yelling his ears shot backwards. The voice sounded familiar. Ah of course it was Aryza. What was it she wanted? He couldnt quiet tell. The butterfly went infront of him again. Jumping again in the air he came back down landing on the ground with his front paws on top of each other as if he had caught something.

MINE!

Opening his paws slowly he noticed the butterfly wasn't there. Once again Aryza called out at him.

Yet again Konoha's own worrying world champion went screaming off in some random direction. Did she say that she had work? At her age? Man he would have to see about her family's financial records... She was too young to be working.

Still she was saying that he was good at something. No, that wasn't true at all. He was a failure at everything, to everyone. He did what any beast could do, what anyone who was stuck at the bottom would do. He was part of the worst kind of social class, despite being a ninja. Those who are slaves, whose bodies are at the disposal of others. He had no worth, no use to these students. He wanted to fight, to attack someone or something and feel the warm blood splash across his face as someone's face caved in. He wanted the rush, the thrill, and the adrenaline again.

But alas he couldn't. As it stood he had been fired for his job and he was stuck as the proctor for the Genin exams until they found something for him to do.

Either give me my job back or execute me now. Don't leave me hanging like this!

The council hadn't appreciated those words, just as they didn't appreciate him. The urge to become a nuke-nin was an ever present idea in his head, one which he had to resist. One day he would attain the rank of Sennin, and when he did he would finally be free.

Shaking his head, he looked over at the girl whose puppy had run off. Foolish girl can't even keep control on her pet. "Hey! Get back here and finish this before I tie a rock to your legs to keep you here!"

That damm puppy was beginning to piss Taiju off. In one fluid motion he threw himself forwards and grabbed the stupid wolf by the back of it's neck again. He used his other hand to keep the dogs' mouth shut and he looked it right in the eyes. "You would do well to listen to me and your master, before i personally remove you from this world."

Taiju kept his gaze directly on the puppy, as if her was staring into it's very heart, the darkest corner of his conciousness. Then he walked backed over to Aryza and dropped the puppy onto the ground. "Learn to control your mutt before he angers me any further, got it?"

The fact that Taiju just threatened her and her cub broke her last thread. She couldn't help it any more she began to let some tears fall down her cheek. She was crying from frustration. Sniffing a few times she managed to stay in control so she wasn't balling her eyes out. Kuroi was silent. No tail wagging, no tongue sticking out or any of it. Taiju had brought him back to reality.

"He's a wild wolf....sniff....I haven't had him for that long either." She looked down at the ground. Her tears were starting to stop. Slowly she looked back up at Taiju. She rubbed her eyes to remove the remainder of the tears.

"Can you help us pwease...."
