I honestly have no idea. I got one about 3 years ago, but it was having some problems, so I contacted Microsoft, who promptly informed me that my 360 wasn't registered under my name. Turns out Wal-Mart sold me a used X-Box, but didn't bother to let me know. They exchanged it for a new one, though I'm not entirely sure how new it is. This was less than 6 months ago. Clearly I'm at the center of some kind of conspiracy.
Though I suppose I could bust out the original X-Box if I get really bored...

What the hell Wal-Mart? gonk
Well, can you trade it in or send it in to Microsoft to fix it? Isn't it a 2 year warranty or some such? I wish you luck on that, since you have the Xbox Gods against you.

This is why I won't buy a X-Box 360. An almost 33% RROD is way too much for something I would invest that much cash in. I know the chances of a RROD are lesser now but I heard the new E74 fail is on the rise. Sounds like way too much trouble.

Pretty sure Microsoft has acknowledged that RROD is a design flaw on their part, (as opposed to the design flaw causing the 360 to arbitrarily scratch discs, which is apparently the user's fault) and that they fix it free of charge. My friend says his even came back with a month of free XBL.

My friend says his even came back with a month of free XBL. Oh I know they do...and then it RRODs again and they have to get another. I've heard stories of people doing this upwards of 8 times. It's ridiculous. *boggles at Rose* Drop Dead Fred??? A classic??? gonk

The RROD isn't Wal-Mart's fault, though. Let Microsoft deal with it. I didn't know it could RROD again after they fixed it though. Laaaame. Eh. As long as they're the ones paying, I guess I don't care too much. It's not like I'm playing it all hours of the day. (Unless, of course, I'm on a KOTOR binge.) And I guess this has been kicking around for a few weeks, but it's new to me: House - Season 6 Promo 3nodding

That's as it should be. I'm so enamored with the book, I read it when I feel very very sad and it always makes me feel better, however bittersweet the ending. What's so stunning is the guy who hasn't seen it is an animator. It's par for the course that everything animated ever, no matter how bad, they watch. Hell, we watched Rock&Rule! And Wizards!
