She took off running, not bothering to look back, for what was there to look back to? The village could take care of itself and so could its people. Training was the best thing she could do for her fellow citizens and shinobi. Racing along the river's edge, Amaya allowed her mind to wander while her feet lead the way for her in autopilot. She hadn't really spent too much time in this canyon. It seemed like a pretty decent place to get in work. She still favored the caves and the mountains though. No particular reason.
The minutes soon turned to half hours and once her thoughts had wandered enough, Amaya focused on the path before her. There was a very noticeable shift in the level of the ground and she realized that soon she was going to have to do a bit of climbing before the earth evened itself back out once again. The further along she traveled to the north, the more rock invaded any sort of clear pathway. The temperature was also starting to drop and she wondered if she perhaps should have brought a cloak? "Won't need to worry about the cold if I keep moving..." she told herself. And as she had thought, her time had come to start her climbing. The cold air bit into her fingers as they strained to hold her weight against gravity, but one hand and foot at a time, Amaya made her away until there was once again, nothing but land and space to cover. Setting her feet back on level terrain, she took a moment to swig a bit of water from her canteen and catch her breath, then set off to more running. It couldn't be too much further now. Even the river could be seen again, guiding her way to the gorge of its origin.

Everything around her told her that the temperature was dropping even more as she continued to run, jump, or in some cases climb through the rocky pathway to the gorge. The ground around her slowly transitioned from a muddy and dull grey to a fluffy white. Snow kissed the terrain all around her and winds picking up cool air from the river didn't do a thing to make the temperature any more comfortable. "Just keep running." Even though her legs felt heavier than normal, they weren't cold, and that was a good sign. However, one more rest would needed to be taken before the young genin could reach her destination.
She drank a bit more from her canteen and her breath came out as small puffs of steam against the bitter air. It wasn't too bad really. Amaya found that she actually preferred this too the hot, sticky days spent training under the beaming sun. Also, this meant that she was nearly there. Tucking the canteen back into her satchel, Amaya hurried along at a joggers pace. Now was the time to start conserving a bit of her energy for the task before her. Something already told her that she wasn't the only one who had decided to venture out to the gorge today.

Giglamesh was still walking on the wall of the canyon, so many people heading north threw the canyon. "Where the hell is everbody goin..........crap my training place!" Giglamesh would leap down to the anbunai rivers enbankments and begin to run a slightly faster pace torwars the gorge, his favored place to train since he had found it a few months back. Why was everbody gathering there amaya, kei....and he wassent partuculary happy about kei running off to do something in her current "condition" what if something was to happen...he would chance it and would greatfully increase his speed to wehre he wassent visible to the untrained eye doe to flat out rushing speed. "So yeah..." Said Zephyr. "Now, what's this about dropping out...?" The Hokage frowned, his small arms crossed, but piercing emerald eyes bore into the taller boy before him. "I honestly didn't think becoming a dropout is your intended goal in life..." Hm...perhaps was he wrong about this kid... If he was looking at dropping out so early...maybe Kai didn't hold as much potential as he had initially gauged. Perhaps he was contradicting himself... Zephyr had never been wrong in the past when separating certain children.
To anyone other than Zephyr. How odd. Why did this "kid" chose his words as 'didn't' instead of 'don't'? Did...did he perhaps meet Kai before?
---
Elsewhere in the canyon, Shikamori had taken Sakeme to the river. "The technique that you hold for now in that scroll in your hands..." The Nara began. "...is as I said, Kori Shinchu no Jutsu." A pause. "One interesting note... This technique isn't particularly limited to initilization by a certain handseal. In other words, the choice varies from village to village. In Konoha, the Genjutsu masters grew to prefer the Uma (horse) seal. But do what you feel most comfortable."
"The principles of Kori Shinchu is quite simple actually. Interfering with the brain's reception of whatever information that is perceived by the eyes... This is a technique that involves manipulation of the mind's perception of surroundings. In other words...your victim will think he is traveling in circles, but in reality, he isn't moving anywhere." A pause.
"Unfortunately, the more calculating ones will make some sort of marking after the first "circle". And even if they don't realize it initially, may end up noticing anyways that they were caught in an illusion. However...fortunately... Most shinobi today fall under the tank classification." Shikamori crossed his arms. "They are the brute force attackers, who generally don't stop and think first. For example..."
"Sensei may be a medic-nin but he is foremost a tank type. If Senju hadn't gotten Genjutsu drilled into their brains, I would say, he'll be the type most vulnerable to illusions. Meh." A pause. "So...any questions before we start? Otherwise, you can start reading the scroll now before we advance to the real beginning."
Kori Shinchu no Jutsu (Sly Mind Affect Technique) Kori Shinchū no Jutsu is a Genjutsu which causes the target to travel around in circles. If the ninja is unable to detect the illusion very quickly, they can become exhausted mentally and physically because they are unable to reach their desired area by traveling along the same path over and over. Cp cost: 40 + 5 per turn Requirements: Genjutsu 30 Ranks Training days: 6 days. Taishiroku blinked and rolled away from the man's grasp and stood infront of him with his arms crossed. He tilted his head hearing the words "Didn't" and "Dropout". Taishiroku shrugged his shoulders a bit and smiled happily toward the man. Wait... didn't the pearl eyed girl call him hokage-sama... didn't i meet someone with that title?.. Then he remembered Elruda and Zephyr.. But!!! this could be another friend he just doesn't remember!
"Well.. My honest logic was.. People did this before me without teachers so i could to.. besides everyone just seems to give assignments and leave.. not much of a school is it?"
Taishiroku blinked again before deciding to ask the kid a question.
"Do you know Elruda or Zephyr?!!? They were my best friends!!! You have the same title as Zephyr... Hokage-sama! And then... Those girls had the same Dodojutsu as Elruda!!
Taishiroku proclaimed this loudly as he made the connection and smiled sincerely like he learned how to from Elruda. He called them 'best friends' despite only meeting the once.

Sakeme listened carefully, making sure to note what the jutsu really did and they ways that others would notice actually being in a genjutsu. At the moment she couldn't think of any justu, so she just unravelled the scroll and started to read. The directions and description sounded simple enough. Sakeme, however, knew better than that. Genjutsu was always tricky to master... she was just glad that she had a knack for it. Eyes wandering back and forth over the paper, she finished up quickly and then looked back up to Shikamori for new instructions.

The child looked confused. "Huh? What? What do you mean same title - OH." And Zephyr remembered suddenly that he still had his Henge on. The black, sleeveless trench coat grew lighter in color, returning to their normal white, long-sleeved counterpart and his short hair became long again. The small figure had suddenly become towering (6'4''), yet...strangely enough, why the need for the Henge? It was perhaps only a mere difference of five or so years (Child Henge form is 12 while normal apperance is 18 ). Emerald coloured eyes grew even more mystic-green in colour, specks of gold in those orbs.
And...what a strange method of undoing Henge...
A soft chuckle echoed around the canyon. Zephyr was laughing. "Sorry about that. It's out of habit." The Senju king explained, about his strange usual choice of appearance. "To comply with Elruda-chiisai-hime's wishes...the night of the festival I didn't use Henge." A pause. "So you want me to help you with Academy lessons, is that right?"
Zephyr considered the possibilities. "...I really don't know... Marcus probably wouldn't care but...Giggles-san might be mad at me for kidnapping a student of his..." A shrug. "Oh well. So. What did you learn so far?"
---
"Alright. See the stream? I trust you know chakra walk." Plip-plop. And the Hunter-nin was walking along comfortably on the water surface, as if it was mere solid ground. "As you probably know, Genjutsu is initiated by a form of trance. The idea is for you to cast your Genjutsu against yourself...experiencing the effectiveness of your technique firsthand." Shikamori stared at his reflection.
Was it just a mirage...or did the Nara's eyes lower slightly...almost sadly...?
"Uchiha clan highly favoured this method of training in the Genjutsu field." Came the quiet explanation. "That way, even if they don't have a practicing partner...they could still effective train to their full potential in this field."

Taishiroku eyes widened slowly, his black orbs became widened with excitement. His jaw droppe to his collar bone. He thrusted his arms in the air and ran around Zephyr in continuous circles non-stop!
"I Get to be trined!!! BY ZEPHYR!!"
Taishiroku attempted to skip around Zephyr from sheer excitement and shortly tripped over a rock. His head landed face first in the dirt. He sighed softly taking that hit as a message of god telling him to stop and shut up. He slowly rose to hius feet and wipped the dirt off of his face.
"We only just learned the Henge jutsu and all the hand signs..
He sighed a bit knowing it wasn't nearly enough to become poweful.. Or to live up to shin.

Okami-sama was very kind too, otherwise Zephyr might've gone the more drastic method... Oh wait, he was still wearing chakra guards. Good for Tai.
"Only that much?" Zephyr frowned. This was...bad. Meaning they had A LOT of work to cover. "Alright. We'll just have to plow through the basic techniques first." A pause. "First off, Bunshin no Jutsu. It's a basic doppelganger technique but could potentially come to be a valuable asset. It's not an offensive type...but a basic defensive approach." Zephyr reached into a pouch attached to the darker of his double belt and pulled out a scroll. "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!"
Another scroll fell out, in a puff of smoke. Zephyr rolled up the first one, and opened the second scroll. "Take a look at this scroll." A pause as he handed the scroll to Taishiroku. "Learn the handseals. It will provide a good background on the technique too." A singer gloved finger held up. "Bunshin no Jutsu is one of the most basic doppelganger arts. The user creates insubstantial copies in this case - so yes, it would not be effective against...certain doujutsu users like Elda-chiisai-hime... Basically, it's a technique used for confusion, best when you are going against an opponent that is only slightly different in skill (to give an edge)..."
"Producing at least three clones will be ample enough."
Quote: Bunshin no Jutsu: This is a basic technique taught to ninja at an academy. In certain years, Ninja are required to know this jutsu in order to advance to the Genin level. Bunshin no Jutsu creates one or more clones of the user, which can be used as a means to create a diversion, distraction, or cause confusion. Unlike Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Shadow Doppelganger), these illusory clones will simply disappear if come into contact, thus, they are without substance, and cannot do anything to damage the opponent. Cp cost: 1 pt. per bunshin. Damage: N/A Requirements: Academy students learn it on the academy as a basic jutsu. Training days: Academy. Chakra control check DC: 5 per bunshin. Special: Can create 1 per 5 points in Chakra control. Up to 5 bunshin can be created. *The user assigns a number 1 through 6 to themselves and each of their clones indivudually. The attacker rolls a 6 sided die to see what they hit. The Intelligence check DC to see through an attacker's bunshin is the 1/2 the attacker's int mod + half the attacker's chk mod.

Taishiroku smiled happily and busted open the scroll as it appeared on the ground. He clapped his hands together in excitement and ran to the scroll to bust it open revealing the conetents.
"Thanks Zephyr you rockl!! I really can't beleive your going to train me!!"
Taishiroku was finally going to have the essentials needed to become a full-fledged Genin like Shinratsu!
He stared blankly at the pages unable to comprehend most of it before noticing the handsigns. He slapped his hands together and attempted to perform the handseals as prompted to but he simply could not comprehend what exactly to do.

Taishiroku stared down at the page once again noticing the handsigns positioning and order to be executed. He smiled and happily began to execute the hand-seals in order noticing how they started to flow to the next. He stopped on the last handsign..
He slowly attempted tof orce chakra out of his body but then his mind started to drift away to the squirrel he missed an love so much.. Mister squirrel... Why did you go?!?!?!?!? He focused back into his training only to find his chakra would not extricate it self.
HE sighed in defeat and looked up at Zephyr feeling he has dissapointed him a bit..

18 + (-.5) + (-.5) = 17 == PASS!!
Taishiroku shook his head wildly back and forth trying to remove all the extra thoughts form his mind. He rotated his shoulders a bit anflexed his musles trying to stretch them out removing all form of anxiety form his body.
His hands clapped together. He allowed the hand-signs to flow from his mind into his hands performing them in perfect conjuction to one another as his eyes scanned the page. With precise swiftness, after using the final hand-sign, he began to flow chakra from his body and a cloud of smoke soon appeared.
As the cloud of smoke dispersed into the air around them slowly a twin was revealed from his current location. Taishiroku turned his head to the side feeling his own chakra from another being. It was weird... But soon the cloned dispersed into nothingness and vanished into nothingness.
"One down..." _________________________ 19 + (-.5) + (-.5) = 18 == PASS!!
Taishiroku, now feeled with a newfound confidence and hope, looked upward toward Zephyr and smiled happily. He was at least not alone anymore and had Zephyr around with him whihc made this training that much better.
Taishiroku eyes scanned the page once again before he turned his back to the scroll attempting to memorize the content within. His lips descended from their curled positions and became straight laced and focused. The hand-signs began to flow from him once more. Once done with the final hand-sign he poured his chakra out like taught and the puff of smoke once returned..
When it was gone the sure tell sign of his success was infront of their eyes. The exact clone stood beside him but he looked kinda dumbfounded and mentally challenged.. He was way too skinny. He slowly yawned feeling drained of chakra as te bunshin dispersed.

Taishiroku smiled and sat down upon the ground to rest and regain the small chakra he had. He layed down upon the ground and looked up at the sky with a half-hearted smile on his face wishing that he could see shin some more. He had grown very fond of Shin over the years and yet even though he moved to see him he rarely ever gets to actually see him.
His breathe was released cold into the air as his mind and mood began to switch onto the subject of Shin. He shrugged his shoulders lazily and stood still watching the powdered air move.

Taishiroku opened both of his eyes and sighed a bit before deciding that he was going to become a powerful shinobi and overcome his weaknesses. What truly is a shinobi? What makes a true ninja tick.. I wonder if they all are motivated by family.. Maybe money or social status? Maybe just because it is something that they wish to do..
Taishiroku's fingers moved across the ground reaching toward anything to play with until his chakra was returned. He slowly sat up and looked both ways staring up at Zephyr with a different curiosity than he had before..
What makes him tick?...
