Gather Info, Sense Motive Tenma felt herself pause as she looked for the deception in the man before her. This was all a little game to him so it wasn’t clear as to whether or not he was bluffing. Informing Rhiam would throw in that evil twist that she had been expecting from him and it would also inspire the revolt of both Tairu and herself. Then again, if he did spill then the Senju would no longer be leaving the chaos and fighting to the delusional whims of the children. It was toss up in Tenma’s mind that she would have to take focus off of for fear that he would spill information before she had concreted an alliance with Rhiam. “Yes, I am aware that there are multiple statues that fit the description, but only one will be hidden. Theoretically, that will be the statue I am looking for.” There was that cool hint of confidence that Tenma had been carrying as of recent but there was also a touch of hesitation as she attempted to guarantee pulling away from the idea of leaking information. Luckily for her Rhiam made his exit at the perfect time. Gather Information: +1 Sense Motive: +0 Genin Exams

Sense Motive +1
Rhaim listened to the proctors instructions on what the first task was and the manner in which he said it in. Considering that he was likely the weakest of all the canidates he probably didn't stand a chance to succesfully complete the task and become a genin. He pulled himself lazily up from the ground as both Tenma and the Hyuuga kid ran off with well formulated plans already. The Nara however simply stood in place wondering who in the world he would even consider talking to to figure out that sort of information. The first thing he decided that he needed to know was what clan the teacher belonged to. That task was easy enough to complete since most people, to include this one, had their clan insignia posted on their bodies.
Content with the fact that the man was either a Senju or posing as one, he decided that the next course of action was to find out what statue he was talking about. There was no why that he was going to try and ask the angry man, so that only left the library. At the least the boy could work someplace that he was familiar and comfortable in. So without waiting around to see how Tenmas failing interrogation would go he set out to the library.

Taiju had to restrain himself from laughing in the girls' face. She may have been cocky and devious, but she obviously hadn't thought this through very well.
"You know it would be no trouble at all for me to track down Tairu or Rhaim and tell them what you've been up to. Judging by the fact that you have some literature in your hand, I’m guessing you either saw him at the library or saw him coming back. Not like it's hard to find him anyway when his mentor is right over there. Still who's to say I hid the statue at all, or that I only hid one? Give me some credit here, I do think ahead. You see, it's not good enough to bring all of them back, or the wrong one back. I'll fail any of you for doing either. The trick is to bring the right one back, and on the first try. Learn through experience. However I do believe there are a few angles that you're not taking into account. Think like a ninja, not like a civilian."

Gather Information, Diplomacy Though the man’s words were sharp they were far from unexpected. Her imbecilic words had been intention because of the situation and they had paid off. Though she now had to look out for falsities she now knew that he had left enough clues to lead them to one correct answer. This was the kind of information that she had been looking for and it would soon become useful. With numerous strategies tried and failed Tenma decided there was only one that would lead to her success: the direct approach. “So then, where have you hidden the correct statue?” Perhaps this would catch him off guard enough for her to get the information she needed, after all, she had almost connected all of the pieces. A bonus, she knew Tairu’s motives were true and she had no doubts Rhiam would want the easy, no confrontation, way out of this exam. Hopefully she was correct. {{Muahahahah! Fifth successful post! Taiju couldn't help but burst out laughing. It was about time the girl did something smart.
"Alright, i'll tell you where it is and what it looks like." He got close to the girl and whispered to her where it was located, and what she was looking for, but nothing else. She would have to find her own way in, and her own way out for that matter.
"Now i hope you've learned something. As a ninja, it pays to do what people least expect you to do. Now hurry up and get out of here so i don't have to keep waiting for you idiots."

With a contented smile Tenma bowed to her Master Senju. She couldn’t believe how much she had learned in so little time. It truly did make a difference if you had a teacher and, it seemed to Tenma, he had actually enjoyed their little banter. Turning on her toes she calmly walked back into the forest until she was no longer visible. With a little hop she ran off to the library. She was the first one to learn the location. She was the first one to know which the correct statue was, but she had to make sure that Rhiam and Tairu figured it out on their own. The breeze created by her running picked up the edges of her string-like hair as she made her way through the shadows. {Exit to Library} Gather Information: +1 Sense Motive: +0 Genin Exams

LV. 2 | Experience: 44/110 | Hp: 16/16 | Cp: 6/6 | MHp: 24/24 Whatever else the girl had to say was immediately muffled. Kaede sputtered, partially miffed that her conclusions were, once again incorrect. Partially, because being called that by Z... Senju-sama made her kind of feel like one. Oh nononooo... dangerous arrogance right there. Hideous. That kind of feeling would make her uglier than she already was. There was no way she could possibly be more of a princess than that beautitful lady. Who also happened to come from that elegant Hyuuga clan. Oh dear, surely he was joking...
"Uhm... S-sem...pai?" That felt almost as foreign as calling him by his first name. Almost. "I think you're m-mistaken... I'm n-not like you. I'm t-too poor and dirty t-to be a princess. Very d-dirty."
And weak, and ungraceful, and a complete coward. The list went on and on, to make up for her feeling for a single second that she could actually... and she had the audacity to call him by first name. Oh whyyyyy didn't he tell her sooner that sempai was fine!? Kaede shook her head, hands still hiding her face, which flushed from a mixture of embarrassment and self-disgust.
"There'll always be people you can't get along."
Kaede frowned. Sempai's words made the girl wonder if a time will ever come, when she'd be more to the village and... her than just the Garbage Man's daughter. ... not that she was aiming to be a shinobi for such a stupid reason like that. Maybe... Sempai's next words made her wonder what clansmen other than T-tai... Senju-san he was close to. Or what his adoptive parents were like. Though adopted would mean that his real parents were... And now she had an idea of who he was thinking about when he was smiling.
"Uhm. Wh-what's a ceremonial cheer?"
Actually, she thought people drank alcohol for the sake of being drunk. Wasn't that the goal of every drinker? No, perhaps it was different for nobles. Everything they did and see always seemed to be on a higher level. Ceremonies, weddings - Choke. -, and celebrations... those were events Kaede had never really partaken in. Well, birthday celebrations didn't count. Yet what he said about forgetting made sense. Sometimes... when her father was drunk, and he was 12 again, he'd call her "old hag", to which Kaede assumed was referring to his matron. Or he'd be 26 with "Saburou" his best friend... who "was a complete dumbass. He'd live longer if he had listened to me and leave the Fire Master to shinobi actually trained to fight." Sometimes Kaede wondered if her father would be happier living with those people than with someone gloomy such as herself. Because afterwords, when she'd get him water to drink or asparagus shoots for his hangovers, he'd be really tired and sad that he was back to being an old man.
The girl flinched again, when sempai had called her a princess. Sempai was wrong. A tea person, she was not. If Kaede could feel peaceful if only for a little bit, there something was extremely wrong. Kaede felt more comfortable feeling stressed than feeling peaceful, if that made any sense. Calm was not her nature. She was the type to worry, worry so much that it'd keep her awake. And if she felt calm, life had that funny way of putting her back into her rightful worrisome state.
"A-actually... I like uhm... coffee. I-it helps for st-studying..."
When she could spare the ryo, drinking coffee jolted her awake. It sometimes made her fidget and twitch a lot if she drank more than a cup. It was bitter with a faint taste of sweetness, if the girl could afford a lump of sugar. Otherwise, on days when poverty was more miserable than usual, the girl would drink it black. Her mind would be all over the place, thinking about trivial things and her problems and her father's problems. In a way, Sempai was like a mixture of tea and coffee. Whatever THAT tasted like. When she first met him, he was coffee, the way he shook her nerves and her soul out of her body with his anger. Yet then Sempai had to switch to that other side of him was like tea. Actually, now that she thought about it, when had she stopped crying? And now Sempai was coffee again when he mentioned the Henge no Jutsu...
"AAAAAAH!!!" Kaede shrieked, her hands gripping her bangs.
She forgot! Her training! She was supposed to be observing the genin exam participants and discern their different sides. SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO OBSERVE THE EXAM. Then, the girl was supposed to try to transform into them and mimic their mannerisms. Yet, yet... she had allowed herself to get sidetracked like a simple amoeba, no... worse than an amoeba and forgot. Kaede frantically glanced around the field, and now they were nowhere in sight. Even Hyuuga-san! And the girl had no idea what the objective of the exam was, or what the other academy students looked like or what their names were...
Stupiiiiid! What are you going to do now!? How are you going to face Tai... tai... S-senju-san!
"..."
Too late now.
"Hahahahaaaaaa... S-sempai, uhm... thank you for r-reminding me. Ahahahahaaaa... No, I'm s-still unable to perform the h-h-henge no jutsu... hah. Hah," Kaede nervously giggled. If Senju-san wasn't going to kill her in the academy, he might kill her now. Metaphorically speaking... maybe.
"..."
"Hah."
Oh, she really wished she could be someone else right now. But she wasn't even capable of doing THAT either, what with her poor control over her chakra flow.

Success!
Saito looked down, his mind failing him. If he pushed too much... he was in danger of passing out... or even worse. He looked at his other hand, before forming the ox. If he tried too little, he was just wasting his time.
He grumbled a bit, looking down. He wasn't patient with such consistent failure, or rather he wasn't used to it. He didn't mind. He understood full and well he had a week body, thus he would take practice. He was a great artist and knowledgeable. Not everyone could be the best at anything in a few moments.
Let's just try to push a bit harder...
Saito regulated his breathing, his chakra flowing a bit more. He stared at his ox sign. He was quite the trouble here...
Good.
He sighed in relief, his knees quivering as he felt his body suddenly drain. This, this was that tipping point. He wasn't sure if he could manage such a feat so consistently yet. This was simply coincidence.
He let himself move to his knees and brought his palms together, keeping himself calm. His apathetic visage slowly became a bit less stressed as he could feel his chakra slowly.. slowly but surely coming back.
Restricted Chakra Burn-out Description: The teacher has the students keep burning their chakra to build up more chakra stamina. They must hit exactly 0 to finish the training successfully. If they went into the negatives, the student would pass out and would have to be revived by their teacher (chakra transfer only revives, does not give chakra to students...or the traditional icy water) and students then must rest until their Cp is recovered. Formula: 1d20 + Chakra mod. DC: Every interval of 5 in whatever the result of your formula equates to -1 Cp. But as Zephyr notes, chakra control is very important. Getting into the negatives is very dangerous, and can actually kill people. So, if you fail to perfectly get your Cp to 0 (in this case, since you have no chakra mod. that means if and only if your dice roll is a 15 or 20, to which it will be a -3 (for a dice roll of 15) or a -4 Cp (for a dice roll of 20) respectively) then you must do this each time you are in danger of falling into negative Cp: DC: 12 Formula: 1d20 + Chakra Control **If and only if you succeed that second check, will your Cp reach perfectly 0. Note that you can only count a success if you reach 0 normally, without doing this chakra control regulation section. Thus, if you rolled a 15, and is in danger of falling into -1 Cp (meaning you will faint until Zephyr revives your character somehow by either transferring chakra or throwing cold water, etc.), then you do the Chakra Control check. If you succeed, you manage to reach 0, but it does not count towards the success of this activity. ***Rest when necessary. You will regain +1 Cp for every resting post, four completed lines minimum. Keep note that in resting posts you cannot do anything else, or any other checks, BUT rest. Special Note (important!): This means Zephyr's bonus in this case will actually SUBTRACT from your dice roll rather than add to it, from giving advice on regulating to prevent you from dangerously depleting your chakra. Saito's lid's slowly raised, everytime he would close his eyes, images would fade.. find themselves in his stream of consciousness. Hundreds of pictures.. laughs.. memories passing in mere seconds of a time not so long ago when his mother would be there for him to come to.
His beautiful emerald eyes glinted as not a single tear formed, his lips simply pursed; his apathy was great, greater than any boy's should be. He blinked.
Was it wrong, to be so understanding-- no emotionless. This logic-- would it forsake him? Could he part with humanity one day.
Such silly talk. He was a boy...
His breathing became normal once more. To make him seem as such-- he'd have to forget this will he was entrusted with. To be a protector.
His hands parted only to push the ground, helping him to his feet.
Once more-- a lot more.
The ox went up as his knees bent and his eyes shut.

"Let's hope I don't pass out...", he simply mutters. He did NOT want that to happen. Especially in front of the queen of the Hyuuga.
His eyes shined as this little bit of chakra moved about, and started leaving, little by little, then to where enough was leaving like last time. He coughed once more..
What was this stupid cough?
He body must be tired.
Of course it was, this was the first day and he'd almost passed out from such exhaustion. Saito didn't care. The human anatomy simply adapted. Many other before him were weaker, he was simply thankful his chakra would churn. It was noted in a study on human anatomy nearly a millenia ago that some couldn't utilize it.
Here he was. How pathetic.

Saito suddenly dropped to his knees, his eyes still glinting, they didn't widen, he didn't show panic.
He'd overdone it. His body was failing him once more, giving up for him. Saito took a sharp, forced breath, holding his sign. Regulate it, control it. He needed learn to overcome this!! Saito didn't excite himself, simply focused in the mere moment he had, he could do this... focus! He'd done it before hadn't he?
His chakra squeeze on ignoring him.
No. It wasn't physically possible. This time it would seem he no choice in the matter. He looked at Yokou-sama, his the shimmer from his light-jade eyes fading as he started to fall, his sign breaking loose. So close... yet so far...
His eyes closed, "Hopeles--", he started before consciousness left the young Yakedo. He had pushed himself far too much. Now Yokou would look down upon the boy.
Did his mother expect too much of him?

Because Taiju was confronted by a returning student, Yokou merely ignored him. Not that she would've troubled herself to grace Senju with a pointless answer even a blind man could see, anyways... He had something in that head of his, some measure of intellect, and therefore, because it did not take a genius to realize the answers to his own questions, he should more effectively utilize it.
As for Saito, she caught the boy before he fell, and held the child close to her. It was all right...expected, for this assignment, and Saito had done valiantly thus far. Smiling, she ruffled the sleeping child's hair, before remembering that it was more important to stabilize his chakra system, she transferred some chakra to her sword fingers (her left index and middle) and with them aglow with pale, soft blue light, she held them over the boy's main chakra source, before pressing down.
The slight loss was no drain on her immense chakra reserves, and Saito would come to, soon enough. He would have to be more careful though...the lesson her Sensei had given was dangerous, but more concerned at the moment for Saito rather than Tairu (the boy and his fellow candidates were only at an early stage in the Exams, after all), she had taken to more carefully watching the child.

Saito slowly regained consciousness, and felt himself against something warm, and soft. He weak knees slowly took the support as the young Yakedo's jade eyes revealed themselves.
Yakou..!
His gaze shifted up to her beautiful visage. It was great to have a Hyuuga for these things.
"You warned me, my deepest of apologies...", he muttered in his soft, innocent voice. The boy slowly walked back, his eyes half open. How flawed... he knew this would happen, yet he just pushed on.
How could training be so complicated.. he'd have at least expect the first exercise after learning the hand-seals would be elementary; however he couldn't even do this correctly...
He stumbled a bit, feeling light headed and once more shut his eyes. Calm down..
The boy more or less fell to his knees, putting his hands together. It was time to create some more chakra. It couldn't be helped, he needed to get this done. Saito quietly checked his breathing, he was quite exhausted.

It's a time of gathering, a special time for everyone...and well...that's what makes them special! Not because they look pretty, or anything..." Here he hesitated. "But because...because there are people there, to join hand-in-hand, and, there's always someone special..."
Like Rasen, Yokou, Shikamori, Museifu and the others...even though that day of his wedding had been miserable, sold like a vegetable to some woman in the royal family by his grandfather...he did not even know of the girl beforehand! Yet, Yokou tried to cheer him up, and to block any escape attempts too, of course - even though the family had already taken precautionary measures to seal his chakra until the ceremony has yonder concluded, those bastards - and Shikamori too, even though when he thought of it now he suspects his grandfather paid his students to do guard duty that day...
At this, his eyes flashed.
Huu...did they...? Would they...? They wouldn't! ...right?
Her sudden scream cut off his trail of thoughts, interrupted, and suddenly disturbed, he turned his attention back to watch as the once more frantic girl turned her head this way and that, searching the fields for...ah. Wait a moment. Wait. A. Moment. Did the Students, the Genin candidates, set off already...?
Well, certainly, he could ask Yokou...
"..."
Ahh. Kaede was depressed already?
"Ehh...well, if you want to learn the Henge, I suppose I can help." He paused. "Unless...you would prefer to watch the Genin candidates progress...? Yuuko can always find them with her Byakugan."Rank: Hokage | Position: Head of Clan, Senju Royal Family Title: White Tiger of KonohaThe old man is dead now...why do I still live his promise...? Saito looked up to Yokou. So she was also trained by Zephyr. The man trusted Saito to become his apprentice, yet he knew so little..
He smirked, she was so elegant and so pretty. He realized that this was simply his human acting up.. but then, he couldn't help it yet. He'd never seen someone so flawless. He blinked, his body recovering just a bit. He wanted to ask her... about the Hyuuga.. and about Zephyr, but it would be intruding. She hardly knew him and he didn't exactly study these clan etiquette. The boy simply didn't want to give her the wrong impression at this point.
He slowly stood up, his knees quivering still, however he had some chakra. This training was very tiring indeed. When he grew up, he really didn't want to be passing out after every other jutsu...
He'd hate to die because of this pool. Saito calmly made the ox sign again, bringing it up to his eyes and looking it over. This was also making his handsigns, not all was going to waste.
These signs really did spike his young curiosity, so many shinobi with so many jutsus... it was all so complex.
Truly, his mind wandered. He wondered if there were every any Shinobi who knew a high-percentage of the known jutsu...
Ah.. that's personal research for another time.
Train: 2/5
