Guys, the content of your posts would both be more fitting to This Thread. It's meant for traveling to and from the village, where the one you posted in, is not. Also, neither thread has a path. There's no paths outside of the village. Really, paths are a major security flaw, and clever ninja like us don't use them. Also the fact nobody has been there long enough to make a path. If you ARE on a path, it'd be HIGHLY recommended not to be on that path, because the only things in the forest that would make such a path, are a panda, or a giant tiger. neither of which you'd probably like to piss off. By being on their hunting trail. Are pandas carnivorous? I don't even know.

Another note guys. The forest is meant to be basically impossible to pass through and find the village without a guide right now. Since neither of your have been there, and probably don't have directions, it'll take a bit more than walking down a random path. (Also, yeah, I still recommend not being on a path. Cryshal has good perception, have her notice the animal tracks or something.) Since you do need to get to the village though, I'm going to say... Roll a six sided die each round. Roll a six or a three and you'll find human tracks to follow. Roll the same in the next round and you'll find tracks leading right to the village. Roll the other and and you'll have to go another round. Roll anything else and you lose the trail and have to find a new one. If you are able to follow the trail for three rounds, you can start rolling two dice per round. If both dice are a six or three, you pass. But if you lose the trail you're back down to one die again. Makes for an interesting mini-game, and gives you some time to get to know each other too. If it starts to seem like it's taking too long, I or another crew member will send out an NPC or RPC and "Find" you.

I just updated the actual thread description. The die rolling bit is now "Official" for anyone who doesn't have a guide/prior knowledge of how to get to the village. Should make any future NPC attacks pretty interesting.

If you just post an empty post for the dice roll, you can actually go back and edit an RP post into it. You don't need to post more than once. The edit won't change the dice roll. It's deleting the posts that can be... Bad.

Bad. question about the dice roll, is it a conjoined effort (say if I roll a 3 and he rolls a 5) do we have to start with finding a new trail or does it just go off 1 persons roll?

since you are with each other, one person finding a trail would easily be able to tell the other where it is. We arent going to say "you can't share information". So yea, you can both follow the same trail.

Honestly I had originally intended it to only have one person rolling. You can both roll for increased chances, but only one successful roll is counted per round. Meaning, if you both roll a 3, it only counts once and you still need another round. If you roll a three and he does not, you go by the three. And even if you roll an off number on the next round, if he rolls a three, despite not having been the one to find the trail, it counts as your second successful roll, meaning you can move on.
But yeah, the important thing to remember is that even in group rolling only one roll is counted per round.

Hokay, I generally ignore most oddities and minor "Issues" in people's posts, but... Yeah... For one thing, I'm pretty sure panthers don't live in this area. Haven't done my research, but still. The large animals mostly consist of tigers and pandas. But more importantly, there is no possible way an E ranked character can kill a large predator in one attack. It just doesn't happen. The warning dangerous animals is a note that if you spend too long in the forest a crew member might NPC an animal attack, not that you can toss in a post of you being a total badass and killing a dangerous beast like nothing. Because, well, you aren't. You have to be at least chuunin to start being badass. Genin and lower doing it just makes you look silly. For reference, if a large cat did attack you, it's stats would be something along the line of... Strength: CC Speed: A Stealth: CC (Panther would be closer to BB.) Perception: BC Reaction/Reflex: A Where your own are basically straight E except where you have bonuses or penalties.
