The vast forest of bamboo surrounding the village covers several miles of terrain, spreading out from the cradle of the mountain to cover a wide region of the country. The forest is thick and lush in most places, sparse in others, and breaks up into clearings of various size in many. No paths lead through the forest, so anyone attempting to cross it must have a guide or know the way already, and even then it is easy to get lost. Because of the lack of paths, any supplies must be carried in to the village on foot rather than by use of wagons and carts.
Many animals call these forests their home as well, from the lumbering pandas who live, eat, and sleep with the terrain, to a variety of snakes and the occasional large cat such as tigers. Attempting to cross the forest alone is a dangerous task for anyone without significant skill.
All traffic in and out of the village must pass through this thread. This is a traveling thread, and requires three posts per person to cross.
If you have never been through the forest before, the only way to find the village is to find evidence of human passage through the forest, and follow it back. As it is a ninja village, this is often harder than it sounds.
Every round of posting, roll a 6 sided die. If a three or a six is rolled, you will find human tracks. If anything else is rolled, you will not find anything.
Once human tracks have been found, you must roll the same die again in the next round. If the roll is the same, you will be able to follow the tracks to the village. If the roll is a three or six, but not the same as the previous roll, you are able to follow the tracks, but must roll again in the next round. If you roll anything else, you lose the trail and must start over.
If you are able to follow a trail for three full rounds, but have not been able to find the village, the trail becomes clearer, and you may roll two dice in the next round, following the same rules. Additionally, if both dice roll the same number, three or six, you are able to find the village. If neither dice is a three or a six, you lose the trail, and must return to rolling only one die.
Beware. The longer you are in the forest, the higher the chances of encountering a wild animal.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗ [Cryshal Fuero]--------------[Espionage Specialist]--------------[Academy Student] ╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝ Cryshal woke up from her nightly slumber only to find that animals have gotten into her rations. "Shoo!!! Go away, those are mine!!!!" Luckily, Cryshal was able to save most of the food that she had searched hours for. She's been walking for days on end, no one knows where she had come from or who she actually was. The only thing people know about her, is that she is well equipped and has some sort of symbol on her arm. Things were hard for Cryshal, but no matter what she was determined to keep on the path that was in front of her, hoping that soon she would be at some sort of village or encampment. It was time again for her to get moving once more, she would not reach her destination unless she was to travel.
Cryshal scattered the ashes from the wood that burnt the night before. She knew that she didn't have any enemies for now, but it was always good to cover up her tracks. At least that is what she remembers from the last time she had seen her parents. They would always tell her to 'be careful' and 'no matter what, cover your tracks when traveling.' It has been eleven years since she has been left alone in this cruel world, with many opportunities for those who are willing to look for them. Cryshal shook her head and started on her journey once more. "I wonder what kind of people that I will meet. Will they be friendly? Will they end up being my enemies? Well, we won't find out until we see!" Cryshal starts to jog along the path working on maintaining her speed and her physical fitness.

Somewhere within the depths of the bamboo forest would be the young white haired boy known as Shinji Hozuki. He would be seen walking lazily threw the hollow trees sipping water from a straw and bottle in his left hand. "AHH WHY ME!!!" he would moan and groan loudly to himself as he wandered hopelessly among the trees trying to find his way.it had ben three long days and he still had not found the so called village that was suppose to be here. this constant wondering was beginning to irritate him greatly and his patience was wearing thin, tho he had no one to blame but himself. It had been 8 years since he had left his home land and in tha time span everything grew but his sense of direction. With the way this had turned out, he now regretted now traveling with someone else. his people skills where not suited to deal with others for long periods of time due to his...logical point of view on life. His tolerance for certain things would simply not allow it.
After a few hours of wandering and sipping on his water his supply would run dry. "Great, just great now im out of water and lost way to go smart guy" he would beat himself up only for a split second before he could hear movement around him in the forest. He would cut his eyes and crouch down while gripping his Katana, trying to listen and find out what was coming. he would soon relax at the sight of a few small harmless forest animals and at the sight of a path none the less. as he approached the path he would see a girl, a rather ditsy looking one at that, jogging along the path towards his direction. tho normally Shinji would not bother interfering with other people he was running dangerously low on supplies and more importantly water. he saw this as an opportunity to get more of both. Tho he considered himself to be a logical being, his pride would not allow him to simply ask her for directions. Instead he would try to remain hidden and follow the girl so that she would hopefully lead him to more supplies. another thing that cough his attention was the fact that there was even a path to follow this early on in the stage of the village. this rose an eyebrow but he paed i no mind as he concerned about how her was going to make it to the village he thought of. "OK blondy lets see where you take me"
Cryshal kept jogging for a bit not slowing down. All of the sudden she heard something rustling behind her, while there was little to no wind around for it to be the trees she slowly looks out of her peripherals. She slows to a walk starting to be cautious of her surroundings. She shakes it off as nothing at first, but she could sware that she heard another pair of footsteps behind hers. They were nice and clean, not too loud to be noticed right away and right in step with Cryshal. She reaches for a kunai to be safe, "Who are you, and what do you want?" Saying this, Cryshal quickly turns around and looks at her "stalker."
"If it is resources that you seek, I will gladly point you in the direction. If not, then answer me this. Are you friend or foe?" Cryshal doesn't take her gaze off of the mysterious person in front of her. Awaiting his answer she puts one foot behind her for balance, and holds the kunai in a defensive stance. "All I am trying to do, is find the village that is around here, I am not looking for a fight." Cryshal was just trying to get to the village safely, but it might so seem that she may have to fight first. "If you are friend, then might I suggest that we travel together; but if you are foe, then I will have no problem standing my ground."

Shin would freeze up surprised by the girls senses. "looks are obviously deceiving around this side of town" He would think to himself while trying to wipe the stupid look from his face. he would walk out in front of the girl fully exposed and out in the open still gripping the handle of his katana in his left hand."Well well well aren't we alert"He would reply with a sarcastic tone in his voice. "At ease at ease Miss?.....hmmm yeah..... I am not a foe nore am I your friend, I am simply a traveler who is running low on supplies care to give me a hand?" he would try his hardest to sound friendly, he even smiled at the girl but it was obvious that he was still up to something. Shin never mentioned his name nore would he loosen the grip on the handle of his blade. the girl was clearly a shinobi witch made her useful yet a possible enemy. tho she sounded friendly he did not want to make the mistake of lowering his guard.
Thinking of what to do, she quickly came to a conclusion. "If I agree to help you, what will I get in return?" Cryshal still did not let her guard down but gave the illusion that she was. "I will help you. There is a village not too far from here, from what I suspect, there you can get supplies." She hoped that the boy would trust her, because honestly she did not feel like fighting right now.

Tho he did not want to he really had to take the girl up on her offer. it wasn't that he was scared to fight her because he was sure with his skill with a blade he would win, but that would eventually lead to more problems down the road. he would see threw her illusion and decided to play along for now trying to hide the fact that it had only been about five minuets and he was nearly dying of thirst. "ehh ok" Shin would reply while standing up straight, releasing the handle of his Katana and putting his hands behind his head. He would begin walking towards the girl slowly with his deference completely down or so she would think. it wouldn't take long for him to walk right by her and take a few steps asking. "Well are you gonna stand there all day or are you gonna take me to the village? and do you have anything to drink im dying over here!!" He would put on a front as if he was a simpleton to steer away from his true intellect, the less she knew about the real him the better. while walking he would finally ask. "hey so whats your name anyways?" the way he spoke and his actions where as if the two had known each other for years rather than a few moments. it was as if the whole incident before hand when the two almost drew blades never even occurred.
She put her kunai back into it's holster hesitantly, but when she saw that he had taken his hand off of the hilt of his blade she felt a little more at ease. Cryshal knew there was more to the situation than she was grasping, but she didn't want to question it. All she wanted was to make it safely to the village so that she may begin her training. "Yeah, we need to get going. I don't want to spend another night out here unless I actually have to. To answer your question, no I do not have water with me. When i get thirsty I find it then." Cryshal then started walking in the direction she originally was, this time with the person beside of her. "I don't feel comfortable disclosing my name unless the other has done so first. That is one of my rules to when it comes to single travel." She kept telling herself that everything would be okay, that he would not cause her harm well at least for now, but she could not help but feel uneasy about him.
"So with that being said, you never DID answer my question. Who are you?" Cryshal was just beating around the bush with her questions. She had her own way with dealing with things, it was the only way she knew how. She was not concerned with his name in particular, although that would help, she was more concerned with what he was doing out here or what did he want with her. "Just so we are clear, I don't trust you, and I know that you don't trust me. The faster that we get to the village, we can get out of each others hair. Sound good?" Cryshal looked at him while walking trying to further understand him.

Shin would lower his head and silently sob when she said she did not have any water. underneath his front he was starting to get irritated yet more interested in the girl as she made it a point to clear the air with her statement. "Well maybe she isn't as stupid as she looks" Shin would think to himself as he continued to walk by her side. debating in his head on his next cores of action for a second he would decide to give her a little info about himself to help clear up the atmosphere. With his hands still behind his head he would look up still sad about the water and finally answer her. "Man that sucks..... my friends call me Shin by the way." he would pause for a second while walking ahead of her a few steps before changing his tone a bit sounding serous and showing his true self. "If you dont trust me why would you offer to travel with me? I could hurt you you know?" he would pause yet again allowing the sinister mood to set in before bursting into laughter trying to lighten the mood "Sorry I couldn't resist so you know my name what yours?" he would reply sounding like a simpleton again this time turning around and looking back at her smiling while back peddling a large smile on his face and his eyes closed.

Instead he was just kind of spouting nonsense, or that was what he was making it seem like. "Well since you gave me your name, allow me to introduce myself. The name's Crystal. Anything else you would like to know, guess you have to wait til I trust you." She put her hands behind her back and just walked like that staying behind Shin, not too close to impose on his personal space, but not too far back to pose any sort of threat to him.
As Shin said something jokingly to her, they both laughed a bit. "Honestly, I asked if you wanted to travel together for safety. Even though I can take care of myself, it's nice to have company in case things get too out of control. Besides, if you wanted to cause harm to me, you would have done so already." Cryshal laughed at her own statement more so than she did at his, the statement was mostly serious, but also had a joking vibe to it. "I think that we are almost to the village, it is difficult to see anything through all of this forestry. Although I have to admit, it is beautiful out here." Cryshal looked around on the ground and up at the tree tops. She then looked a bit harder and changed the direction they were walking, "I think I see something over here." She then motioned for him to follow her. Was it a gate, or was it just an illusion?

I think it's time for us to find this so-called "village"
Shin would chuckle a bit the girls comment and then quickly decide to show his true colors. It was obvious that there was no point in being fake because she saw threw it and because I would appear that they would be traveling together for a while. his entire appearance would change as he lowered his hands from his head and stuffed them into his pockets. his posture alone with his tone of voice would both change as he slouched over a little before speaking. " Crystal aye? That's a pretty name tho I'm assuming that's a nick name of some sort. My full name is Shinji Hozuki, and tho im sure you already could tell from my last name I hale from the hozuki clan. I came to this forest looking to further my growth as a shinobi with the help of this village if I could find the place." Shin would say with sight sarcasm while looking over in the direction of where miss crystal had led him only to find nothing "Also you can relax now like you said if i was gonna try and hurt you i would have done it by now" Shin was done playing his little game because the girl had proven that she was no simpleton besides he would be better off knowing that he wouldn't get a kunai in the back while trying to find the village.

As Shinji complimented her, Cryshal blushed slightly, "Thank you, also Crystal is just a nickname. Can't be too open with people whom you just met. Anyway, my name is Cryshal Fuero, I don't hail from any clan, or so I think. You're going to the village to better yourself as a shinobi? I guess that makes sense, as I too am also going to train and hone my skills." She looked around for what she had seen before, but it appeared to be just an illusion. "Darn, I was really hoping for there to be a gate here. Oh well, I guess we have to keep on trekking. Cryshal suddenly got an idea, there were a bunch of wild animals in the forest, and also domesticated animals as pets. Maybe if she could find prints from some sort of animal, then maybe she might be able to find actual foot prints. "I know this will be a difficult task, but I need your help in looking for footprints. It will be difficult because well, we ARE looking for a ninja village after all." She was finally able to rest easily knowing that Shinji wouldn't harm her, but she still had her alertness just to be cautious of any others.
