(So the butterkyns are also in flowers right?)
Rosemary's feathered wings blended into the sky as she continued searching, slowing down her pace so she missed nothing. There were a few rocks that rosemary looked at eagerly, but they all ended up to be rocks, plain, old, boring rocks.
There was a particularly big boulder, and Rosemary landed on it, her claws clacking against the solid surface. Her wings were tired and she needed rest. She wasn't that used to flight yet, and she couldn't just walked through these flowers.
Sighing, Rosemary took off again. This will take forever. After a few more circles, Rosemary darted back to where Aedan and Minya was, and took five to rest her wings again.
"I really need to get this flying thing right." Rosemary told herself as she took flight again in the opposite direction she searched earlier, noting anything that she can use as a perch. She didn't dare fly too far away from Aedan and his bonded, less she gets lost in the sea of flowers.

Magnus was in total shock and awe, such that the large European could not move for several long seconds. It was beginning to sink in just how... big... everything around him was. It wasn't a feeling he was used to, and he came back to himself just in time to see the little mud-coloured creature dart away. It scared him a little, that thing which was a twist of the familiar. It scared him more to know it was a baby. Taking to the air, he remembered how Poke had jumped into the water; what if there were more of those things in it!?
Draco cursed himself curtly before putting all his attention into the task at hand. He pushed the fact that Aedan had made the island move to the back of his mind; he didn't understand such things, and it made a kind of sense, what with Aedan being so old and all. The Canadian Kyn knew that he'd be pestered later for not finding about the temple, but stopping the Butterkyns from wreaking more havoc upon unborn souls was a little more important.

((Technically speaking Ganon, yes you can. Xp But, yeah, they wouldn't be a problem in the flowers.))
Rosemary's hard work was soon rewarded - if she was paying close attention. The patch of flowers thinned out a bit up ahead, and the reason was because there was another boulder that had, at one point, rolled down the mountain to land in the midst of the growing flowerbed. Nestled in close to its side was a single small, round stone with a well-blended dragonfly napping on it.

Magnus quickly flew to the far end of the island to begin his search. Nothing would be uncovered if everyone was looking in the same place, right? He looked back briefly to make sure he could still see Myrrh, before diving low to the eggflowers and looking for any that contained rocks, or even a flash of colour that wasn't a plant. How many are there? he thought, searching with more desperation as he was horrified by the idea that there may be too many Butterkyns to catch, hordes of Butterkyns hatching like locusts and turning Kyns into... monsters.

Myrrh occasionally stopped for a moment here and there, as a gleam caught her eye, but it was usually just an unusually bright kynflower or the gleam of a normal, if rather quartzlike, rock. She journeyed a little further afield, but soon had to rise to a low soaring altitude to rest her wings: hovering took lots of flapping, which stretched an endurance that wasn't great to begin with (as kyns go). Once suitably recovered, though, the silver European dropped altitude and began a different search pattern: a spiral, starting close at the inside and then circling outwards into larger concentrics.

weeelll she got her wish now didn't she? they weren't talking much anymore!
Poke had been praying when something had darted away in the distance. But before she could get a good look at it she feel to the ground as it shook with the moving flowers. She looked up in time to see a egg being destroyed...or was it?
Poke had to cover her ears when the great dragon roared and went after the...thing that came out of the egg. Then again she blocked her ears as another roar came out, followed by something else. Every nerve in her body shivered from all the noise.
She got up again, Quite confused and wonderign what the hell was about to happen next. and when aedrean asked them to find the eggs, she nodded. "yes..of course!" She turned around to see where everyone else had gone off too. Unfortunately she wouldn't be able to go near the flowers, least she wanted to cause any more grief. However there was the area that was quite bare; the temple ruins. She ran towards the bare area and then went to the left of her, a little towards the flowers but still keeping distance. She now looked for the small rocks and the dragonflies that were supposed to guard the eggs.

(Yay =D Butterkyns)
Rosemary's shoulders were aching from all this flapping she had to do, and she looked around quickly for a perch. The last boulder was too far away for her to reach in time.
A quick burst of speed led Rosemary to land on the rock, bits of quartz stuck in the stone shimmering in the sun. Looking around, Rose sighed. This was going to take forever. Deciding to take a longer rest before the flight back, Rose carefully folded her feathered wings against her body.
"Oh no--" Rose had long ago started shedding the down feathers she was born with and one of the last few fluffy down drifted away from her. Remembering what a single blade of grass had done to the Kyn egg, Rosemary took off, and caught the feather in her jaws with difficulty. She wanted to spit it back out, but made sure she didn't. Turning around, she noticed something sticking off a small rock at the base of the boulder. It wasn't sticking out naturally, no, it was something with wings!
"I've found one!" She called out, then gagged for a moment as she accidentally swallowed the feather. Yuck! Lesson in life learned, don't yell out if you have something in your mouth. Looking at the small Butterkyn for a minute, Rosemary considered what to do. As small as she is, Rose's claws are still sharp. Would she hurt the thing if she tried to carry it?

Tare swept out across the island, toward the beach. He kept from going too quickly, though, to keep Kori in sight, and as he flew he kept making quick circles to make sure she was still behind him. "You okay, Paige? Not making you dizzy, am I?" he joked on one such occasion, and then he dipped down to the sand and for the first time set his claws on the island. His eyes widened very suddenly and he tensed underneath Paige's body.
The island's life force was incredible, coming at him from all angles and feezing him in his tracks. Just as Paige began to worry, he shook his head and relaxed. "Wow... that was... startling. Alright, climb down, I guess, we'll do better if I go one way and you go the other." He leaned down to let Paige down, eyes already scanning the east leg of the beach.

The commotion had Paige unnerved, though Tare seemed to be doing his best to keep the mood light and to the point. As he flew, she kept her hands wrapped in the fur of her mane, ducking down once or twice to bury her face in the hair there and no doubt wishing that he was her Shinju. The surprise at landing delayed her reaction, though she was happy that Tare was just fazed by something. Perhaps what had happened was just now sinking in for the poor Japanese? She nodded and slipped off of his back mutely, taking a moment to orient herself before heading down the beach.

Tetania wasted no time, immediately taking off to look for the Butterkyn eggs. Her wings were still tired from the long flight, but she knew it was imperative thet the Butterkyn were found. She spiraled upward for a bit to gain hight, then set her wings into a glide and coasted over to an area of the field that nobody was seraching yet. She made her descent as gradual as possible to give herself more time to search the area below before she had to ascence once more. As she flew she scoured the ground, determined to find the Butterkyn.

As Rosemary spoke up, Aedan turned his head to look in her direction. "If you can pick it up, the egg will be yours. Just be careful that it doesn't hatch while we're here," he called out to her, voice wavering back towards being tired. Yet Aedan had important things to do, like make sure that none of the group touched the flowers in their search. He remained standing, eyes sweeping the field for the Kyn in the air, the riders on the ground, and anything else moving around that shouldn't have been.
The wind from Magnus' low flights blew the flowers gently, though none seemed any keener to reveal the mischievious eggs of the ButterKyn.
Myrh's attempts at finding an egg were hindered from the short time she could spend near the flowers. Perhaps it would be better if the group was able to spread out farther.
Poke's efforts around the ruin, where there were a few scattered clumps of rocks, appeared to be the most rewarding at first. Clinging to the edge of the patch of flowers was a single grey stone that appeared no different from any others around it. And yet, as she went by it, there was a flash of light as sunlight brushed something.

Rosemary nodded to Aedan, though she doubted he could see it from that distance. Hovering, Rosemary slowly descended and picked up the small rock with her hind claws.
She laboriously flew back towards the clearing where the old temple once was and carefully lowered the egg onto the group. Rosemary nearly collapsed beside it, and tucked her wings close to her body, feeling her shoulder muscles ache. She really had to practice flying more. Surprisingly, the small creature that was sleeping on the rock did not run away, though it did open one eye to look at Aedan, Minya, and Rosemary with curiosity. Then it closed it's eyes and went back to sleep.
Well, this one wasn't that active. Not knowing what else to do, Rosemary laid down beside the egg and looked over her feathers, nosing them back into place the ones that were ruffled during her flight. She hadn't anticipated that a rock could have weighed so much.
Oh give her some credit. She's like what? A week old? Be glad she could even fly.

Myrrh soon found that her concentric search pattern was starting to overlap with the searches of others. It wasn't likely that all the ButterKyn eggs would be clustered around the temple ruins, and even if many were, they would likely be found by the others kyns. Rotating her wings, the silver European skimmed low and relatively slow over the flowers, away from the ruins. She stopped once on a large boulder to rest (it was just barely big enough: a larger kyn would have been out of luck) before she found another likely place, where the other Kyns were still in view, although more like colored streaks darting above the flowers. Magnus was a slender ribbon (Myrrh found it a little humorous to think of her larger mate as a "slender ribbon"), but easily discernible by his coloring. Locking into a low glide, she again spiraled out, searching for the ButterKyn egg-stones and their dragonfly guardians.

Tetania's gentle glide had finally gottewn too close to the flowers for comfort, so she flapped her wings to being spiraling back up. When she judged she was high enough, she stopped to hover for a moment and see how everyone else was doing. She was surprised to see that she had gotten fairly far from the rest of the group, since she had traveled mostly in a straight line. She reasoned that since nobody else was near her, this area would not have been searched yet, and decided to stay in this area for the time being. She returned to gliding, zig-zagging over the nearby area as she scrutinized the ground below.
