Hearing the shrieking of the spirits, Aurrek edged closer to the storage room. They were setting up a playpen for the children?
He looked down at the drowsy crab in his hands. ... Well, either way, Nordri would never forgive him. The god set the crab down into the playpen and immediately doubled over with both hands to his stomach for a moment.
When the wave of pain had faded enough to allow him to straighten, he looked around at the glowing shapes of people, who were illuminated by just enough light to allow him to see them with his other eye, too.
"Anyone need help lifting kids in?" Aurrek asked, holding out a hand.
On any other day, Nordri might have felt like attacking the children in the playpen for the fun of it, but at the moment, he was more tired than anything else. He scuttled sideways to a corner, in hopes that no one would step on him or anything.

Kyo wasted little time following after Danny, shutting the door to the garden quickly behind her. Where was Xerk? She wasn't so worried- she'd told him to go. Reaching out mentally, she could find him with the others. "There is more strength in numbers." She offered Danny, her hand drifting off of the woman's shoulders finally. "I will be watching out here in case any others are trapped outside. I suggest you join the group..." What if more were stuck outside? Just because she couldn't feel them didn't mean they weren't there... and she wanted to be able to lock the garden door if there were no more.
Xerksis grumbled as he was picked up by the Sidhe, as if demanding why she had taken so long to come and get him. Did he care that she was a stranger? No. He did wrinkle his nose a little at the pink (or what was left of it), though. He could see in the dark rather well with those pupiless eyes of his, probably wondering why everyone else was bumbling about. And now he was set on something. He ignored the food, irritated with being alone again. Seeing Aurrek nearby, the Illithid growled at him, reaching out. Me! Pick me up!

Zasalamel wasn't startled this time by the mindlink; he had asked for it, after all. Once they were connected, he told her the story; from the grey that spread out, to the shadows on the walls to the dots with human faces to the tremors to the fadin colours to the wave of sickness. Everything he knew about what went on, from what he himself experienced.
They're...sucking the colour out of everything? Was all the Drow could say in response to Kay's questions about looking grey. He himself lifted his hand to see; he could see colours, but faintly. His hand was still giving off a heat signal though, and thats reall all he cared about.
--
Neveah had heard something about getting everyone inside...and then she realized there were a few people she hadn't seen in a while. She called out to the woman who had suggested doom if they didn't get inside. "There are still people out there!" She informed the woman, staring into the darkness and the shadow creatures with a wince. "I...I'll go and try to find them...try and keep the doorway open as long as possible...!" Damnit, why did she have to get a conscience NOW? It probably had something to do with the fact there may or may not have been a woman and a child still out there.
After making sure her voce was heard, the buterfly took a deep breath and stepped back out into the Gardens, running as she tried to find those who might have been left behind.

Nicolai relinquished Wiko to the young drow gladly, not at all apprehensive about this one. Giving a nod of appreciation he made his way back and toward where he was told the training area was.
"I'm... guessing we're being invaded," he stated aloud as if to catch the attention of the adults in the headquarters, mentally running over the situation carefully. "And I think it's probably not such a good idea to be so spread out. The further out, the worse this thing gets, right?"
He paused, though not really waiting for a response, and tried his best to mentally locate those present and those straggling. His eyes fell upon the ornate garden door and those just starting to flee the gardens.
That's where that tremor came from, he noted. Halfway through the thought he was headed in that direction.
"This way," he called to Danny and Kyo, waving an arm to beckon them away from it. "We need to stay away from the garden. Is anyone else in there?"

Coailiann stared, fear running through her. Oh, no, this wasn't good. This was not good at ALL. Zah would be able to feel a wave of mental panic from the sidhe for a moment before she took a deep breath and tried to calm down.
What did this sound like? Kay knew this place backwards and forwards. Talks with her sister helped her keep up with....
Crap. Crap crap crap.
"Zah...Zah help me get onto the desk, I need to be taller. Please?"
She definitely had an announcement to make - and nobody was going to listen to a short child nobody could see.

((We're ghosting Kishi, Kyocho and Oak out, so assume they're in the main room now. This is so we can progress with everything.))
Click.
Looking straight at Kyo, Danny didn't say a word as she reached out and locked the garden door. To her knowledge, there wasn't anyone left out there; and even if there was, a detached part of her was perfectly willing to leave them behind.
Her voice still rebelling against her, the woman saw no need to try and explain herself just now. With heavy feet dragging on the ground, Danny headed back into the main lobby. The aura of this greyness was starting to get to her... the guardian seemed tired and world-weary as she joined the rest of the group once more, pale and jumping at any small noise.

(( Ari is still out there. e.e And now so is Neveah, hah. Oh well! >D ))
The playpen was out, and the Drow set Wiko into it quietly, being careful of the crab.
Zasalamel did as he was told...only better. Your foot is hurt. He told her mentally. He felt her panic yes...but the keener part of him could also feel the pain in her foot, from where she tried to kick the door.
Leaning down, he bit back his fear and allowed her to get on his shoulders. That should give her the height she wanted, after all. He was tall on his own...5'7" as a kid. When she got on, he stod up, holding onto her knees with his now free, though greying, hands.

Coailiann was very grateful to Zah and carefully held onto him as she tried not to wobble too much. Now, to be able to make her voice heard above everything that was going on.
"HEY!" she screamed, hoping that all the talking and everything would stop. Now that the group was seen by the sidhe, even if they were vague outlines, she knew that most HAD to be in the lobby already.
Otherwise...Well, the headquarters was a lot more full than she had thought.
"I KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON! LISTEN TO MEEEEE!"
Please, please listen.

Ari had passed out. Nothing else explained the fact that she found herself waking to Artemis pulling on her hair. Which was probably only half of the cause of her headache.
It was dark. Ari couldn't even see her hand as it touched her face, rubbing away the dizzy feeling, the tireness, which seemed to grow stronger.
But she could see Artemis....
The child seemed to glow, just slightly as if light was comming from within her. No, not within her. Her wand. Art was holding it tightly with her other hand. It was the source of this light, but it wasn't giving off any. Trying to figure out what was causing her ability to see Art and not herself was making Ari get a headache.
She pushed herself up, hit her head on somthing only slightly above her head, felt around. She couldn't see a way out, and from what her hands were telling her, "Art stop that, mommy's hair should stay on her head," she muttered, groggy. From what her hands were telling her, they seemed to be trapped.
Art stopped pulling Ari's hair. Ari looked at her daughter and noticed that her eyes were even more empty now then before, as if she was a shell of herself.
Ari pulled Artemis close, and closed her eyes. So there were enough magical parents as well as children in this mess with her. From what she had seen most abilities and sensitivites grew extra powerful in times of great stress...
There was a pounding if from an outer door being banged on.
Maybe one of them could hear a thought?
Xerk....
"help!" she shouted mentally and verbally. The dirt she sat on felt as if it were moving, and Ari had no idea how trapped they were.

((xDD You want mine to call after Nev, Enoh?))
"Someone is still out there," Kyo insisted softly, making no move to follow Danny. She could, however, hear the insisting voice from the other room. For this she established a link through Xerk, listening through the boy's ears for as long as he'd let her. Unlike others, he'd know that someone was in his head. She kept a watch out for Neveah, who'd plunged into the garden. If she didn't come back soon, the psychic would call out to her. Leaving was the last resort.
EDIT: Then the call came. The call for help which came on the currents of the mind. Xerk wouldn't have received it as as young an age as he was, but his guardian caught it easily enough, being so close. The garden door was unlocked swiftly and opened. "Ari, here!" She strained at her worn vocal chords, never having to vocalize herself so much. "You all, get back in!"

Great! Someone who does!
Nicolai turned to face her, still straggling toward the end of the hallway near the Garden. He wasn't sure if he was comfortable with the assumption that no one was left there, nor with the claim that there actually was, but he could do little for it. It would have been better to listen to the only one that might have an idea of what was going on.
Against his own advice he moved back, closer to the garden door. Part of his obnoxious conscience wanted to stand there and be the first on the front lines should the encroaching danger decide to break through. Sadly, this part always, always won. He stood with his back to the wall, glancing both directions cautiously, poised to bolt if need be.

Rouge looked up at the child and suddenly reached into her pocket. There had to be something in there to help the kid. Come on Rouge, you're crew was about to regather. Why the heck would you not have your minigaphone on you?
And then-boom- she found it. "AHA!" jumping up she handed what looked like a small microphone to Kay. "Speak into that. It'll broadcast your voice to the whole group."
Gawd she was lucky it happened to be that day when she got stuck here.

Aurrek looked up at the girl who was not standing on some piece of furniture he could not quite see. Quite a courageous lady to get up like that and yell at everyone in the middle of all this chaos, he thought, rubbing his hands together self-consciously as he watched her.
Hopefully things were not too bad. Well, considering how bad they already looked, with things that seemed to be attacking the building and all.

Neveah had found Ari sure...but that was AFTER Neveah had given up, and gone back to go inside. As quickly as she could, he slipped through the doorway and into the crowd of LIVING things.
Oh thank god, she got inside in time. Thank god, Thank god, THANK GOD.
Instead of panicking about almost being left out, She instead went around, looking for her son.
After seeing Kay up so high, she realized exactly where he was...and the relief that washed over her was too much to handle. The butterfly collapsed to her knees on the ground, her hands over her heart. Thank god thank god thank god....
