Basyl: 9
Basyl had come to the charity event mostly as a volunteer. Sticking a bunch of people together in one room didn't always result in mayhem that got someone hurt... But apparently Destiny City officials weren't strangers to out-of-this-world phenomenon happening at their events. And such phenomenon did occasionally get out of hand and wreak havoc on innocent event-goers, leaving people with scratches, scrapes, bruises, and sometimes worse.
But nobody expected anything like that to happen. Not this year!
The first aid station was just a precaution in case someone snapped a heel on one of their shoes and twisted an ankle, or if it turned out someone was allergic to something in the food. Normal accidents could happen, and there should be someone knowledgeable nearby to make sure things didn't get worse before they got better. Basyl and two of his classmates had volunteered to help out, alongside a more practiced resident.
It would be a good experience for them, he'd promised. And what, did they have something better to do tonight, anyway? Basyl got the sensation that the ohers in his class only attended begrudgingly, but he was honestly a little excited to be out of his apartment for a couple hours.
It wasn't every day he got to be part of an event, even if it was mostly watching and waiting for someone to hurt themselves.
But as far as Basyl was concerned, everything seemed to be going pretty smoothly. The auction was a silent one, so there weren't a whole lot of opportunities for rambunctious activities or fights to break out. And once that was over, everyone seemed pretty calm and content to mull about until the dinner and ball were ready to start. There might be a few more accidents once those got under way, but Basyl was releived to have made it this far with nothing more than putting a band-aid on a boy who'd been scrabbling around beneath one of the folding tables and banged himself up on he metal hinge of it.
Everything was going pretty smoothly...
Until it wasn't.
Basyl was alarmed by the sudden flashes of scenery that ripped across his vision: the moon, the jungle, something from the 50's, and now... some kind of trinket wasteland? He didn't really have any choice but to try and keep up with everyone as they braved the various environment changes, and there were certainly people that looked like they were being injured by- by lasers and static and jungle creatures.
It made his head spin. Honestly, what were any of them supposed to do besides run? He couldn't even power up in this strange channel-scape, though with so many people around, he wasn't sure he would've, anyway...
This one was a sad place, filled with any number of broken and damaged things, old and worn and no longer useful... The static void crept forward at an alarming rate, though. There wasn't time to stop and think about the waste and damage of this place, so Basyl picked his way as carefully as he culd through the mounds of objects. As a purveyor of certain curios, he thought he might be interested in claiming anything of particular interest, but it only took one stinging shock for him to decide that was out of the question and keep on his way.

Rolls: 1, 9, 1, 10 Roll Total: 21At first, Orias thought he'd been caught by the evil beastie that'd ruined his hero scarf. Was he dead? Sure was dark and drab. Others were here as well. Either possessed TV from hell had a terrible service provider, or he'd just been the appetizer to a main course of larger people for the jungle monster. He guessed the bigger question was: had he gone up or down when he'd died? He cupped his chin with a pointer finger and thumb in thought. On the one hand, he was pretty self-serving. He could openly admit that. Why not use one's awesomeness to better their own life? On the other, he did help out the Order in fairly big ways... when he felt like it. Of course there were usually ulterior motives there too. Gasp! Had whomever had decided his fate known this? Was he going to suffer eternally for being TOO amazing? Well that was just unfair. As he mused, the creepy veil of darkness about everything seemed to lift just a bit. His night vision was still superb, after all. Mountains of old, outdated tech dotted the "landscape." Things Orias wouldn't be caught death with, aside from his beloved VCR. Well that cinched it. This was TV hell, not his own. Another channel then. "Well I might deserve some version of this, but this is pretty pathetic even for a vindictive haunted geezer of an electronic. I'm out." Quite used to gravity again and now seeing through the inky blackness more easily, the Mauvian could nearly see bright as day when the wave of death static started up again behind him and the others. Some seemed to be having trouble navigating, stumbling and tripping over the piles of useless junk. The boy himself sauntered at an easy pace, weaving nimbly through the obstacles. After all, when one could see and was in full use of their agile faculties the static was defeated by a brisk walking pace. What did catch his eye was what seemed to be happening the more people nudged into the broken electronics. Little orbs of the same crackling static began growing and spreading like digital spores. "Ooooo," Orias murmured in wonder, now much more interested. "Are you angry little spirit TVs too?" With a healthy distance between him and certain doom, the inventor crouched down to more closely inspect the anomaly. Would adding more useless crap make a bigger ball? Would the ghosties fuse? Science had to know. Gingerly lifting a discarded cathode tube, the feline was unsurprised to see a spark of the static bloom as soon as he touched the component. Lifting another with his free hand, he quickly touched the two little flickering sparks together. They quickly merged and grew, sending a shock through the junk and frazzling Orias himself. Hissing in disgust, he hurled his experiment back to be absorbed in the encroaching void. "Well that was just uncalled for," he snarled, wiggling himself back to lucidity. "Might just go back and invent a proton pack just to cross streams on your Stay Puft a**," he threatened, beginning to move again. He wasn't sure where Reggie was, or if the man had even made it through the jungle, but he wasn't worried. The senshi was stubborn and very hard to get rid of. It was one of his most admirable qualities when it wasn't Orias himself that he was after. He was surely on the other side of the nearby rift. Nose pointed firmly skyward in a haughty gesture despite his hair still standing on end, he strode right on through.

Chip2+1+3+7 = 13By this point in their little escapades, Chip had found himself riding on Meztli's back, holding on to his neck and looking all around at the most fantastic of sights... ...if only he was in control of it. In a flash, they were in some kind of void, and it felt like it was getting more oppressive. He pointed ahead after a moment, when his ride staggered a little. "That way!" He called out. "I think I see our escape!"

The void was most disorienting, and so he didn't question Chip's directions at all...Hopefully the kid knew what he was talking about. There was no hope otherwise.

Daisy Grace [roll total = 4 + 3 + 3 + 4 = 14]
Setting foot in this latest odd world, Daisy nearly fell to her knees and began crying from the sheer heavy aura of despair and neglect. As she looked around and tried to get her bearings, she stumbled into what her fingers told her was a large-ish dresser. Edging herself around, the lack of light and an apparent exit made her breath catch.
She would have rather dealt with tiny genocidal green men,
A crack of light brought her head up and in the distance she saw an exit from this dismal place. Taking the best mental notes possible under the circumstances, Daisy began to make her way over. Thankfully, she was able to avoid knocking into too many things. And as much as she wanted away from here, she moved carefully. She was willing to be a bit of a tortoise if it meant not getting lost in the dark or buried under mountains of discarded knickknacks.

Alexandre: 6 + 8 + 5 + 7
Taking a moment to bend over, gasping for air, he had never run so hard in his life or at least it felt that way. What the hell was going on? Looking up and over to his cousin, still clutching his hand. "That was...a lot." He managed to get out between deep pulls of air. "We need to get out of this together." But where were they now? All he could see was darkness around them.
Slowly he started to move, pulling Hudson with him. As he looked around he took note of the ground and what he was stepping on, and around, broken things...lots of broken things. All of it was old things. "A tv which pulls us into old shows and movies...and now old and broken things. This is like a graveyard for old and outdated things. Does it mean to say we're old and outdated - to keep us here so we're replaced...the next generation?" Of what...people. There were, as of yet, no bones or bodies to be seen. But it seemed to be treating them as if they were old toys or movies and tv shows and just something dated. Old toys no longer played with and discarded and broken and taken into this realm.
"We need to get to the tear." As he did see what looked like a tear in the distance. "We can't stay here." As he b umped into a few things he yelped, but he kept moving him and Hudson forward. "Don't touch anything - it's shocking...like a strong static shock." And he didn't like it, not one bit.

How long were they supposed to run for? Nataniel was fortunate that he had the stamina for grueling physical exercise, but not everyone here did. Some were very young or very old. The weakest had been consumed early, but another handful would be at their limit as the group made it through the new tear. Nataniel's gaze flicked behind him. Where were the forces of Order now to protect the people who could barely make it from one scene to the next?
As far as he could tell, most of the crowd was jostling against whoever came too close as if there was no one in the world besides themselves. In a time of crisis, everyone clamored for their own life. That was just how it was.
And he was not any different.
The darkness of the room began to shift until the path ahead was revealed, and what could Nataniel do besides follow it? There were old, broken objects scattered about, as many as they eye could see, but nothing he could fully identify through the darkness. Every time he tripped into one (because of course he did, the things were littered everywhere), it sent an uncomfortable pang jolting through wherever it had touched: a shock mingling with something like... surrender.
Why did they have to try so hard to get out? It was so much work, so much effort. It would be easier to be swallowed by the darkness. These things were old and broken and forgotten, but in the end, everything was. Time wouldn't remember the name of anyone in this void, whether they escaped now or never...
Time moved on relentlessly...
He had to persist, though. The end was in sight, and Nat did believe in finishing things that he'd started, even if the 'start' was by no choice of his own. It would be sadder to be trapped here in the darkness, feeling these uncomfortable pangs, when he could be living semi-normally. Nataniel had to keep moving forward.

Myles - 5+5+5+9 (24)
For all the times Myles had been clumsy, all the times he had struggled in spotless rooms in broad daylight, now was when his feet decided to work with him?
He didn't have the best of vision to start with, so a klutz combined with a dark room should have been a recipe for disaster. And yet, he heard his brother's voice in his head, reminding him to keep his hands to himself. Despite the alarm and need to get out of here, he folded his arms across his chest and shuffled forward, scraping the bottoms of his shoes across the ground to make sure he didn't trip on anything. Usually he didn't have the patience to do such a thing, but in this case?
He got the impression that it was of dire importance to focus.
He wanted to get home. He wanted to figure out what was going on, of course, but he wanted to get home in one piece. He already had enough nightmare fuel for the evening.
...Forever, really, but.
This was Destiny City, after all.
Alexei - 10+10+1+6 (27)
Darkness, again. Alexei was almost reassured because it felt like he could breathe a little easier. He didn't have to worry about appearances if no one could see him. It was hard enough to keep this calm, collected facade when he was burning with anger--but when he was in a situation where he had no control? Where he had no idea what was going on? His shoulders slumped and he felt like he could breathe without the weight on his chest.
Even with the static looming in the distance.
He just needed to finish this course. There was a destination in mind and he just had to focus his eyes enough to get there. He could make out details, just barely--it wasn't like the last time he was blind, though the memory sent a surge of brief dread through him.
He walked a little quicker; the toe of his shoe nudged a few things as he walked; he was met with a tingling numbness, and a small burst of static light distracted him from the darkness.
Loren - 9+5+6+4 (24)
Darkness was not Loren's friend. It reminded him of a time just beyond his memory. He knew he was in the Negaverse, but it felt like all of his memories were just darkness.
And here he was, back in the middle of it.
A different scene, a different world. But this one was no more comforting. The static in the distance was alarming, constantly encroaching. He could see more bursts of it appearing between him and the portal--the thing that he could only assume was either the exit, or another path to another world.
His hand accidentally brushed against something; it toppled to the ground and sparkled, like it was being slowly consumed by the static. It sent another ball of alarm through him; his entire hand was tingling unpleasantly and he had to force himself to keep moving in fear that this new burst of static would soon swallow him up as much as the wall of it was eating away at the world they'd been trapped in.
Speed was a necessity, but not the only one. Caution was more than that. His nerves were alight and he had to take a deep breath to calm himself.
No time for anxiety--only a careful path out.
Home.
...Hopefully.
Leander - 8+10+9+8 (35)
The flash, again. He could have used the flash to see, but something about that just seemed wrong. This whole place seemed wrong. He nearly bumped into a few things as he made his way to the exit--or, at least, he hoped it was the exit. Still, for as slow of a crawl as it felt, at least he wasn't breaking things--and he was avoiding agitating the static as much as possible.
None of this was making any sense, but he was too close to give in now. Even the temptation of taking photographs wasn't enough to make him slip up now--he had his eyes set on that portal and hoped Destiny City was waiting on the other side.
Soleiyu - 5+8+6+10 (29)
He wanted to be a cat again. Small and out of the way, and who needed fingers. Certainly this body had advantages somewhere, but this was not how he wanted to discover them. Soleiyu moved carefully through the dark room and, though he felt like he was off of his game, he still managed to make decent progress.
The static in the distance was startling, mostly because he dind't know what it was or what touching it would do. It was far enough away that he thought he might be able to outrun it and get to that portal before it reached him--but it seemed that more static was generating between here and there. He was afraid to touch anything on the way out, afraid to agitate this environment. Afraid to do anything to risk losing his exit.
He told himself that it was okay to go slow.
Patience was a virtue, after all.
He could do this.

Hux ~ Rolls: 6 + 9 + missed + 6 = 21He had sort of shut down there for a bit when they left the moon, the surprise of hearing Alex's theories about being in the television and being told he was in Jurassic Park had been a bit much. Thankfully he had kept moving with Alex thankfully guiding him along until they got to the next tear in space. His brain rebooted when they passed through the next tear and he was panting along side his cousin. "Right, thanks for helping me keep up." He said with the briefest of smiles. It was quick to die though as everything seemed to just scream wrong but also give up.
Hux looked around this new place and saw only darkness and junk while feeling like despair was trying to crawl it's way into his heart through his spine. His hand clenched harder around Alex's but he shoved the feeling away as he nodded to the spoken theory. "It seems like you're probably right on that." When they started to move again he kept in step but unfortunately he couldn't help but bump into items as well and get his own shocks, though one brush against his free hand with an item seemed to make it go numb. "Here's hoping this is the final way out."

Without waiting for the other people to come, Ariel entered the tear in space. But the new place if we can call it like that is so dark, so depressing. There was nothing to see, or so she thought at first. Then her sight getting used to the darkness she could spot many things around, broken things, things that she had never seen, some other she had but so many years before. It was like if Time had throw all the things it didn't wanted anymore.
She could see that the other people from the group who got in this strange mess were around too. Everyone was trying to find a way. But unlike before she couldn't see any. Only a big shadow covering every corner.
Then she heard a sound, the static which seemed to surrender every place had crackled. And then with a little light she could see it, a path and in the distance of this one she could spot a tear in the world.
She felt luck she had good eyes at that time.
"Well I don't want to stay with the discared objects so time to move". She again took her dress in her hands, because with all the things on the ground it will be like mopping the ground with it if not.
Then she moved, managed somehow to find her way without knocking, tripping or crashing in things. She laughed at herself thinking as she is the senshi of candles maybe she had an internal light allowing her to see.
As she arrived closer to the tear she could see some glassiness going all the way up.
"What is that?" she asked herself
