Bifrost Knight of Chronos

Up she went, and then down she crashed. It was pure luck her shield ended up beneath her and she used every once of effort to use her magic to help break the fall. The rainbow barrier shattered as the ground cracked under her, and Bifrost's head whipped against the ground.

She saw stars, trying to orient herself.

A blade pressed against her throat. Lilac eyes snapped open to see the General from before, scythe blade held to her skin. They widened, then hardened. In the half second she was distracted by Ganymede ascending to Princesshood, Bifrost swung both legs up and around, using the shield she laid on as a spinning device. The scythe was knocked from her throat, boots coming in contact with Reapettite's arms.

The knight used her legs to help her roll into a crouching position, and she sprang up like a rabbit. The world spun, and her back ached something fierce (she was also damn sure her right arm was tore up, if not fractured), but she was done with this b***h.

"Go. To. Hell." Bifrost slammed her shield into the general, grabbing the scythe in the process with her free hand. If super human aided strength of the shield slam didn't kill her, the scythe blade that Bifrost shoved through Reapettite's stomach would.

Finished, Bifrost turned her attention back to Apatite and those fighting her, keeping her distance for now. No sense in getting slammed into the floor, again.

With Hati

After a few moments of scrambling, mostly at the Jupiter knight's request (Valhala), Skoll found what she could only imagine to be the other knight's starseed. It was a fragile thing, and she carried it gently, but quickly, over to the unconcious knight.

"I think this is it? How do we put it back?" she asked him, not quite sure how to get it back inside Alexandria's body. She'd never taken one out, so...

Disposable Lieutenant Clipboardite: Now Deceased

"UGH!" Clipboardite suspected that the weight thrown on her was meant to knock her out, but in the process an elbow had probably collided painfully with her torso while knocking her out had not been accomplished.

"My, my, aren't you a persistent little bug," the lieutenant may still have been grinning widely as she pronounced each word of the statement through gritted teeth, but she was now thoroughly pissed off for whatever reason she came up with to go along with the jab of pain that assaulted her when she had been bodily tackled on the ground.

Then, Clipboardite willed herself to sit up as she wrestled with the senshi, grabbing at some of Lacrimosa's hair and then throwing her contender a distance away from her as she moved to crouch on her feet.

However, Clipboardite hadn't realized that she was at that point at the brink of falling down from the edge of the top step of a lengthy staircase. One of her high heels slipping off the edge of that aforementioned top step was all it took to send her sure death in motion as she then ended up suddenly falling back so that she eventually landed with her head making contact first with one of the steps on the way down followed by the fall cycling with similar collisions that occurred and repeated all in swift succession.

Clipboardite had met her doom at the hands of Lacrimosa and a tragic, gruesome stumble down a long flight of stairs.

Sailor Remus, Senshi of Regolith

Oops.

Remus's - admittedly foolish - plan to tackle and pin the general queen had not, exactly, gone according to the layout in his mind. He hastily ran through the checklist that he'd made somewhere in the depths of his thoughts, Remus frowning slightly.

Knock her over - check.

Successfully injure her - check.

Get macked on by a hot, batshit crazy general queen who was trying to kill them all - check.

The entire thought process took about 0.5 seconds of Remus's time, approximately 1/3 of the time it took for him to register that he was actually being kissed, by which time Apatite was already dropping him unceremoniously on the ground.

"Ow."

With his head spinning violently and his vision slightly obscured due to the blood welling on the side of his temple, Remus dragged himself vertical once more just in time to see a redheaded senshi - or something - pointing at him before lunging.

"Hell, no," said Remus with a cackling laugh, and neatly sidestepped the punch before scampering away to return to the task at hand - namely the general queen. "That's rude, you know, trying to hit people who are just totally innocent."

He tried to kick Apatite in the shins again.

"Thanks for the smooch, by the way, it was pretty hot even if you are totally on the hinge of Crazy Town. Can you maybe stop trying to kill us all? Or something?"

Reapettite | General of the Negaverse

Reapettite had always believed in one thing. Death comes to us all. Albeit, to some it comes sooner rather than later.

A pity, the general had thought that she would have been one of the latter. The woman's distant thoughts began to weaken. The blood that spilled from her side was from the wound delivered by her own scythe no less. What irony!

Laying on the floor, blood staining the castle grounds, she watched with wonder if her General-Queen too would meet a similar fate as the battle faded forever from her eyes.

Ascendant General Alkaid

Distress signals were not unusual in the Negaverse - lieutenants that bit off more than they could chew, captains that didn't understand the difference in power. There were always other generals with far less time-consuming duties to respond to the calls and rarely did Alkaid ever arrive on scene to lend her aid. It just wasn't in her nature to baby the weaklings.

But today was different.

She had never received so many distress signals in such a short amount of time - and never in her career had they been sent from within a Negaverse strong hold. With regret, she was forced to leave her unwilling charge behind, alone and unattended. If they lost their stronghold, it wouldn't matter how many Transcended senshi she could capture.

If they lost Metallia..

The chaotic, messy energy signature of the china doll exploded onto the scene and the 'what ifs' in her mind were vanquished in favor of duty. All around her there was the stain of blood, chaos and order alike, coating halls that had not seen battle in this lifetime and the energy of the White Moon Kingdom stuck out on the field of auras like an infestation. There were two that stuck out like tiny stars, too powerful for simple eternals, and alarm bells began to fire in the depths of Alkaid's mind. She knew her General Queen lay in the direction of one - but the other, well, it seemed unattended.

The long cape billowed behind the Ascended General as she turned on her heel and headed for the wandering energy, the edge of the hem dragging through pools of blood and rippling over bodies that would never move again. The dust of youma was thick in the air everywhere she looked, and yet they still surged forward into the ranks of the White Kingdom, reckless and unconcerned for their own well being. Soldiers with nothing to lose were the most dangerous and when she finally lay her eyes on the man who held the power she sought, she knew he was just as dangerous as any of their beastly, blood-hungry peons.

Prince Castor. The warrior king who had already lost it all.

The cracked doll took her position at the end of the hallway, between Castor and whatever goal he could possibly hope to achieve. Her master, if she had to guess, and the last place she would ever let him set foot. A single, pale hand rose and pointed at his form as she settled her bright, angry eyes on a face she knew so well.

"Castor," her voice rang out, rebounding off of the quieter hallways, those more deserted as soldiers of both sides ran to a showier battle, "you have a promise to keep."

And so did she.

In the long hours he would spend alone on his world, Castor was often left with a question.
'What was the purpose of his power if it could not save?'
He had failed his people, he had failed the ones he loved, he had failed so many in his own eyes that Castor had come to a single answer. His was not a power of salvation. It was hail, the force that destroyed in cold and did not discriminate what it would strike and beat down into submission. He was embodiment of something without mercy, without morality. He was it's prince and he was bound to it if he liked it or not.

So when he had stood alone in the hall, he knew what his choices were, what limited options he had if he wished to not kill those he had sworn to protect. Wings fanned out for a moment before curling back around him, hiding the armor and flesh from view. Dark wings would not gain a question in the shadows, only his power, his energy, would.
And that was how she found him. He was the bright glittering star that threatened her home, and he was the one who had promised her destruction. Castor was the one that had promised her death.

"I was hoping I'd run into you Alkaid." He wanted to see what she could do, and the idea of a battle burned in his blood. He wanted to give her death, give her mercy. He wanted to give her the fight he'd promised.
"You're right, we had a promise. Sorry if I kept you waiting. But-" Castor looked back to the scrambling fight that was in the main hall.
"Think we might take this to a more," his wing fanned out before hitting the wall, "open area? I want to be able to fight you freely. I don't want to hold back. More-" He smiled.
"I want you to fall and your Metallia to witness as I steal from her her most loyal servant."

Apatite's grin was wolfish and she eyed Remus with a snarl of a grin. "If you join me," she purred, flexing her nails.

Something was wrong with her—more than usual; her voice just wasn't right. The way she walked was just a little off.

People kept smacking into her, and she seemed jittery.

A senshi—a super—tried to attack her. She plunged her hand into his chest and extracted it. She ate it without a second thought.

She pulled three more starseeds in a matter of moments, trusting the chaos of battle to cover her. She was lashing out at anyone that got close enough, and drawing blood from everything within arms reach.

Chaos was radiating from her, like a sick, toxic wave. It was nauseating, and her aura was fluctuating. Her appearance was occasionally shifting, and she had broken into a cold sweat. Her breathing was labored, but she seemed stronger than ever. She swiped an arm and flung a Knight into the wall across the room with almost no effort.

But her body was taxed, and her eyes were bloodshot. Her fingers looked like little taggers, and scales—a rough, sturdy armor—were crawling their way up her arm.

And she was laughing again, despite it all. A cruel, hysterical laughter.

She was pulling starseeds, left and right.

And then she stopped discriminating between Order and Chaos and started grabbing starseeds from the Agents too close to her.

She was covered in blood, and she was spilling more.

And the pulsing, choking wave of Chaos just kept building up.

She was preparing for something. Something big.

Quote:
Apatite is in a frenzy! She's building up for something powerful, so you don't have a lot of time to act…you've either got to attack her, hard, or get away from her. But you don't have a lot of time for either.

If you are attacking Apatite, you have approximately 24 hours to do so and roll a d100! First stage characters have no boost, but second stage characters get +2 to their roll, third stage get +5, and fourth stage get +8.

Please post your roll (from the dice as well as any boosts your character may have) in bold red at the bottom of top of your post. If you make a mistake rolling, please do not delete the post, simply strike it out and roll again. If anyone's post is deleted, they will be disqualified!

General Labyrinithte: Guarding the doors with Tourmaline // Fighting against Gevaudan

Labyrintihte laughed at the short man's poor attempt at taunting him. In the general's opinion, the man was pathetic a shell of a person who wanted too desperately to be something he was not capable of.

"You're not worth her time or energy," he snarled.

As luck would have it, Gevaudan's second kick failed because Labyrinthite had thrown him back before the kick even had a chance to get close. He stepped forward the senshi's wisps flooding his visions and senses, swatting at the balls of light irritably before Tourmaline tackled the boy and the dissipated.

Labyrinthite threw his head back and laughed, scythe materializing in his hand as he hefted it up with both hands. "Death comes knocking knight," he growled and swung.

Gevuandan, Knight of Ganymeade : Trying to pen the doors being guarded by Tourmaline while fighting against Labyrinithte

"Really? Because It gave me it's time and energy before, you p***k." He said back, regaining his balance and moving back to regard the scythe. It was a very nice scythe, but so were most weapons at that stage. It only had so much range though, and if distance was given, they were fine. Two handed for the most part, but he wouldn't put it past a General's strength to switch it to one hand and use the free hand for something else.

"If It isn't ever going to open the door, why bother guarding it?" He questioned, wondering if they had any doubt. "Metallia could easily kill me if I entered her chamber just as easily as it could strip you of your power. I just want to continue a conversation I've had with her."

He moved slowly, sidestepped as he watched the General. It was a bit bizarre that the General could even just brush aside the wisps with no real response, but he chalked it up to power level differences. The good thing was that he and the General were the same power level and he didn't bother even caring about the laugh. Cocky. With a weapon in their castle, there was no reason why he wouldn't be.

"Do you even speak with Metallia? Do you know what it thinks of you and your lieutenant?" He watched the General and Lieutenant, watching to see if they would rather attack them or just talk. He only spared a quick glance at Venice to keep on his toes and watch them.

Gevaudan doubted that a General and Lieutenant even bothered to be counted in Metallia's mind. There were doors, and unless Gevaudan had something powerful to blast or pry those doors open, there was no way to open it. Metallia seemed aloof to even open it. Upstairs, he could hear the battle raging on. He was sure with the power he felt seeping from the door that Metallia could sense Order inside IT's domain, but it wasn't reacting. IT probably wouldn't care if he killed the officer on it's doorstep.

Even if they had time to plan, the royals would probably be the only ones able to have the power to affect the door - unless there was a senshi of doors he didn't know about.

"Tch." He said through gritted teeth. He needed some sort of bait, something to get IT's attention. Something to think it was worth opening the doors, even if it was to kill him off.

Was it annoyed he was here or simply apathetic? Did it still recognize his starseed, now purified, or was he now just a stranger to it? He wondered - and oddly, he wished for it. The recognition in any sense, even if it was negative. Of course it would be negative.

As the General swung, he moved back again, and called out. "MOVE!"

There was no choice but to engage. The doors were massive. Two people couldn't block the entire door, and so he made a run for the door at the furthest point from the other two and with both arms, he gave it a hard punch in hopes that a aggressive knock might be enough. If he got nothing - well, there would be need of a change of plans.

There was a battle going on upstairs, and if he couldn't be useful here, he'd go elsewhere.

Ascendant General Alkaid - (Retreating to Metallia's door/Away from Apatite completely)

A small, pleased smile echoed Castor's as his attention turned fully upon her.

"If you think losing one servant will break her, you are mistaken, old friend. She already has what she needs from me." The calmness in her face said it plainly - I am expendable - because she was. Expendable and ready to die for her cause. Castor wasn't the only one that knew the thrill of battle, nor was he the only one with nothing left to lose.

There would be a battle between them, but in that moment, Alkaid felt the mass of chaos energy building up behind her. There was no doubt in her mind that her General Queen was preparing for something that she could not see or predict and her only thought, chiming over and over in her mind, was to keep Castor occupied and away from the rest of the White Moon forces. If she died to buy her General Queen time to vanquish the invasion, then so be it. She only had to promise him something better than unity with his kind.

"But let us see what she thinks of a great battle, hm? She's always been so fond of you." The bright eyes drifted to the adjacent hallway, the long winding path that would take her to the impenetrable doors of her master, where she knew a last defense would stand. Metallia would never fall, her faith in that belief was unbreakable, and she was much too alluring for Castor to deny.

"Don't keep me waiting."

The words died on the air between them as she slipped into the shadowy hallway on fast feet, her energy announcing her as she fled down the length of it with purpose. As she cleared it into the space before the great double doors, she was met with the sight of a traitor trying in vain to break through to the very being that had once given him power. A grimace lit her face and she looked past him to the Reaper General, trying to catch Labyrinthite's attention only long enough for him to hear her warning. Bright amber eyes met golden ones and her intent shone bright and true and fierce.

"Defend her, there's a greater threat coming."

All she had to do was wait for his arrival and she did so, turning her back on Labyrinthite's battle and staring down the hallway for those great, dark wings and the fulfillment of a beautiful promise. It was a good day for a fight to the death.

Captain Sanidine

Sanidine had seen battle, but it wasn't quite like this. Most of his fights had been one on one—and it had been easy to stand his ground. Hell, most of the time he even had the upper hand.

Being kidnapped had kind of messed up his whole game, though. He was still sore, and pissed, and zoned out more than he'd like to admit. Thoughts flickered into his head and out again faster than he could process them.

He didn't know how the Senshi or Knights or whatever else was with them had even gotten into the castle, but he was glad he didn't spend much of his time here. He'd even thought about teleporting right back out, but he had his pride to consider.

And Sanidine wasn't a coward.

He didn't take a lethal approach to the intruders; he had his sword, but the damn thing was such a pain in the a** that he wasn't even trying to wield it. He'd dismissed it and was taking on things with a positively hands on approach.

Sanidine was used to back alley brawls and tussles with the other punks in the area, so he took his experience and put effort into clocking what senshi and knights he could. He didn't necessarily discriminate against who he was hitting, but when it came down to it, he was picking mostly on those weaker than him. He still had injuries to tend to and didn't want to agitate them more than he already had. He didn't even really care if they died, he just wanted them gone so he could get back to work.

…Or, hell, he'd just let that freaking psycho General Queen take care of them. He caught sight of her out of the corner of his eye and a strange shiver ran down his spine. He wasn't afraid of her—or, at least, he told himself—but there was something intensely messed up with her. He didn't know her, and hadn't seen her before tonight. He didn't care if he was supposed to respect her or report to her; she didn't seem sane or stable, and didn't even seem fully human.

He found himself backing away, watching her warily.

He didn't know what she was up to, but he didn't want to be around her when she went off.

From where he stood, unsure of what to do and uneasy especially now with the feelings seeping from that door, he was close to Erebus as he held tightly to his feather duster. He needed to help but..but what could he do? A General, that power, was no match for him. Biting down, gently, on his bottom lip he shook his head.

Watching the lieutenant go after the eternal senshi he moved from Erebus' side. He would leave the other knight, Gevuandan, with the General and the door. He would help the eternal. "Erebus...help with General?" He questioned the other. "I take Lieutenant." He said while he headed toward the female.

The duster in his hand held tightly as he approached her. Seeing as the item, or weapon, was rather useless he threw it at her aiming for her face or head. If he could get her attention all the better for him. Looking at the two on the ground he moved in aiming to kick at the lieutenant. The eternal on the ground under the lieutenant.

He had not been expecting the Lieutenant to come at him, much less launch herself at him in a tackle. He should have expected it, should have foreseen it, but instead he went down with a sharp cry of surprise. His back hurt from the hit, a lot of hurt. He'd already been thrown down onto steps and he was in pain - so much pain now. Shifting, slowly, he tried to roll onto his side in order to get off his back.

With her on top of him however that was rather impossible. Shaking from the adrenaline and perhaps the pain he raised both his hands and went to try and claw at her face and eyes - anything to get her off him. He needed her off him. His back hurt and he wanted to at least get off his back, even if he didn't get off the ground.

"Damn it..." His voice was low, he didn't want her hearing much, he was sore and hurting. She had no idea she'd just added to the pain inflicted upon him from that crazy General Queen. She had done more than she should have been able to but that was because it was piggy backing on someone elses attack.

“Oh, s**t.”

Initially, Ganymede let out a shriek of rage when her attack was disrupted by the little smart a** Senshi's tackle. If she wasn't so angry, it wouldn't have bothered her that he was a smart a**, since she happened to be a bit of a smart a** too. But since she was angry, she wanted to take him by the collar and shake him until she rattled some sense into his brain.

Unfortunately, Apatite grabbed him before Ganymede could. And kissed him.

Yuck.

Then she didn't have a lot of time to think about anything or react to Apatite's goading, because Apatite started eating starseeds left and right, even from her own agents. It's was as horrifying as watching the bloody deaths that happened at the General Queen's hand. These deaths were less brutal, but they were no less impactful.

More lives lost. Ganymede almost pitied the agents more. They'd trusted Apatite to protect them, only to die when she ripped their souls away.

Ganymede remembered what it felt like to swallow a starseed. The cold burn down her throat. The pain in her gut. The emotional trauma of knowing the Senshi whose life was taken by it would have no chance of rebirth. She knew it wasn't the same experience for a Negaverse agent, but watching Apatite swallow one starseed after another brought the memories back as clearly as if they'd happened just yesterday.

“What's happening to her?” Ganymede asked. She could see Apatite's nails lengthen, watched the scales work their way up her arm.

Ganymede backed away and drew Valhalla with her, unsure how to proceed now.

“Don't get too close,” she warned him. “Something's wrong with her. This is insane. She doesn't even care that she's killing her own agents.”

Ganymede was too wary to approach, not until she understood what change was coming upon the savage General Queen.

But she didn't have to get too close to attack her.

“Searing Passion!” Ganymede called.

Using her Eternal attack a second time was taxing, but it could be done, and now seemed an appropriate time to use it.

Quote:
Searing Passion
The enemy's focus temporarily narrows upon a single, abstract desire that manifests itself in a physical sensation, a heating of the body that grows progressively stronger throughout the duration of the attack, until the target feels as if they are burning up from the inside. They're likely to feel weak and disoriented once the attack has burned itself out.

The attack itself reaches its peak after about 45 seconds, and can only be used on a single enemy within a twenty foot radius. While it could be used twice if absolutely necessary, it is physically draining on Ganymede and would commonly only be used once during battle.

Half-Youma General Cinnabar - making a late entrance and going to defend the doors

Today was an unlucky, it seemed.

Not only had the knight she'd been tailing slipped her, making her leaving the Citadel a useless effort, not long after, her crystal began going off with a ruckus she couldn't process. None of it made sense... Order forces in the citadel? That was impossible... But a voice whispered how Scholomance had tried to warn her of just such a thing.

This is what she got for brushing that off.

The General arrived in the citadel to an all out war and she was taken aback for a moment, staring in disbelief. Senshi and knights fought corrupts and agents in a messy sprawl all across the main hall. Dead bodies litered the floor and there, down at the end where the powerful signature of a General Queen flare hot and angry... Apatite fought like a demon. But there was something... wrong about her.

Cin's eyes widened as she watched the woman pluck a starseed from an agent and swallowed it... only to start to change. A chill ran down her spine as scales appeared, not unlike her own.

Oh god...

Cinnabar, perhaps more than most here, knew the signs. She knew what that meant. They were losing their General Queen... there was no coming back from that, she knew it deep in her bones.

Tearing her eyes away from the scene, her breath rasping in her throat, the general cast about for the best use of her skills, her senses opened to test the surge and wash of power signatures. There... there was a senshi royal, by Apatite, but she dismissed it. They would have more than enough to handle in a moment. Further on, another... past the General Queen and downwards, down towards...

The Doors. The ones that led to Metallia. More than anything, those needed to be kept safe. She had to make sure that before anything else, those were taken care of.

Gathering herself, Cinnabar teleported down to the doors and found herself in a much smaller battle. A knight faced off against a General and a Lieutenant, and coming their way... she could feel two signatures, both powerful. Her face curled in a snarl and she moved forward with purpose...
