Fumi eyed the Hoothoot in an attempt to size it up. Once again, like Litwick, she didn't know much about his species. At first glance the owl Pokemon's red eyes had drawn her in. Unlike Wick, he didn't seem to mind being stared at and kept a calm demeanor despite the fact. He even seem to be observing her in turn, maybe even before directing her attention at him; not too surprising seeing as they have been here for a while. Without further ado, the girl began to scan her Hoothoot.
'It has a perfect sense of time. Whatever happens, it keeps rhythm by precisely tilting its head in time.'
Fumi's eyes looked in intrigue at the dual normal flying type. 'Interesting... He does have clock-like features if you think about it...' The more she knew about her Pokemon, the more she was thankful that this was the team she started with. She just wondered if they felt the same.

Just as she put a hand on her chin as if it would help her think did Pins leave the bench, but not before tugging at her cap to pull it over her eyes. "W-Wait!" Too taken aback to take any real action, all she could hear was playful laughter leave her side. When she had finally repositioned her hat, she saw that Pins was a little ahead of her, on his way to explore the town. Looking back at the bench, she was relieved to see that the other two didn't run off as well. "Um... I'm going to need you guys to get back in your Pokeballs please." She didn't want to risk losing all of them, so she thought it best to search alone. Observing both Wick and Hoot's reactions, it looked like they wanted to help search for Pins as well, but didn't put any opposition towards their trainer's wishes and obediently went back into their respective Pokeballs. 'So he's probably going to be more than just 'the always confused one.'' While she felt annoyed about the situation, she did also feel like something interesting was finally happening. It certain beat staying at home browsing the web. To add to her entertainment, she found an Easter egg beneath the bench before she darted towards her Chespin.

Fumi's eyes locked onto Pins as he continued to explore on his own. She wasn't about to lose sight of him anytime soon. While she was still annoyed that this was happening, she was glad that something started progressing, that they were no longer in that awkward situation that she had put them in. This did not change the fact that she needed to show him that disobeying her would not be tolerated, lest he starts developing a habit out of it.
A sudden halt in the Chespin's movement had taken her by surprise. She used this opportunity to approach him. When she had gotten to where he was, she saw that a wild Bunnelby was staring him down. She had not known what had transpired between them, but the rabbit Pokemon was obviously not pleased. Watching the wild Pokemon initiate an attack prompted Fumi's 'trainer mode.' She was somewhat familiar with how to conduct and command herself in battle thanks to her brother's education, though this was her first ever battle she did on her own. "Pins!" The Chespin's attention was now concentrating the girl's voice. "Use Vine Whip!" The attack easily downed the Bunnelby with no problem. As she approached the normal type, she couldn't help but stare. Floppy ears? Fluffy tail!? She had to catch it! Before she could debate further, a ball was thrown and the Bunnelby was caught no questions asked. Immediate regret came over her; she still didn't get to know her current team properly yet and now she has another to learn about? Well she could always release it, but... A hand clenched on the newly caught Pokemon's ball. She didn't want to back down; her decision, albeit abrupt was made the moment she threw the ball. She was going to keep it.
'Okay... Got to keep an eye on Pins especially...' Taking a mental note of this, she began to check on the Chespin for injuries. "Um... How are you feeling? Please don't run away from me again. Rather if I do something you don't like please tell me. I'm not a mind reader..." And far from it she was. The monotonous tone she was unpurposefully using had guilt ridden the poor rodent Pokemon. Paws behind his back, he nodded apologetically, waiting for some sort of punishment to be given.

Fumi, not understanding the body language of her Chespin, simply observed what the bipedal rodent type creature was doing. Why did it seem like he was waiting for something to happen? Did he want something from her? Rather than trying to figure it out with the easy task of just asking, she thought prioritizing their departure to be more efficient. She could always ask while they were moving after all. "Um... We should get a move on." She said as she cautiously patted the Chespin's head to grab his attention. Confused by the action, all he could do was nod again. Maybe she wasn't mad after all? Or was she just saving it for another time? This girl was so confusing to him!
As they began to leave the tall grassy patch, another Bunnelby had made its appearance known. This one seemed just as ready for battle as the last one was. "Pins" Checking over the Pokedex for its stats confirmed that it was a little stronger than the last foe they had fought. "Vine Whip on the Bunnelby." Just like the last wild Pokemon, Pins was able to take it down with ease. Easily resisting the urge to capture this Bunnelby, the girl was able to do something that she was supposed to do last battle. "Good job Pins. Same as last time." Another gentle pat on his head soon followed as the girl cracked a small smile on her features, though she was unaware of her facial changes. Pins' own features perked as he saw the change. So the girl could smile! He somehow got the feeling that the girl wasn't used to showing her emotions, if at all. "Um. We should get going." The same monotonous tone didn't bother the Chespin as much anymore. With a wave of her hand urging to him follow and an enthusiastic nod from the Chespin, they were off to the forest.

Adder started looking around, checking under buildings while Pichu scurried about excitedly, hopping and skipping and bounding with far too much energy. Arrow stuck to higher locations, checking roofs and trees, occasionally looking down at them with a watchful, analyzing gaze. These eggs couldn't be too hard to find, considering how quickly his pokemon had located them before.... plus, there had to be a lot of them, with all the trainers that were looking. It shouldn't take too long to locate, right?

Yet, somehow, it still took a while for them to find an egg. Or at least, it felt like it. It probably would have been more accurate to say it wasn't a quick and easy task, rather than suggesting it was particularly laborious. It seemed the area had already been picked pretty clean, which, when Adder thought about it, made sense, given how many trainers came through these lower-level parts. He sighed and sat up from looking underneath a bush, frowning. He felt pretty stupid here.... like a real kid on an easter egg hunt or something. But, still... he wanted those prizes...

Pushing himself up, Adder looked over when Arrow fluttered down, an egg in his beak. The tween reached out, taking it and looking it over, before giving the bird's beak an appreciative pet. "Thanks Arrow," he replied, looking over as a sulky Pichu came to join them. Were the two racing or something? He guessed that was fine.... so long as they weren't fighting or breaking the eggs or anything. "Guess it helps to have someone that can reach places others can't really reach," he muttered, putting the egg away, before releasing the Girafaraig to contact Alicia. Hopefully she'd be there soon, and then they could head to the next location.

It seemed like just yesterday but felt like a life time ago. Ashley imagined that Dandy was no longer lingering about the town; she’d have moved along to handle her own schedule; school for her dreams as well as tending to home and making sure all their affairs were kept in order. Maybe he’d reach out to her for it. Despite how he generally acted with… well everyone else on the planet, Ashley enjoyed a bit of company and his half-sister was one of the few people he’d willing reach out to for such. If anything, it would give Lizzie someone to speak too while he and Bastien hunted down the eggs; Dandy was all for talking to others and making conversation. Girl talk really; not exactly something Ashley himself participated in but he’d listen to her stories from time to time, commenting in that analytical or (if the story allowed) mocking cynical fashion. Either way, Dandy never called him out on it; she understood how he was and he understood her. It worked and made their sibling relationship even more manageable. He kept this thought in mind as they touched down once more, not hesitating to begin to move and analyze their surroundings for the search.

Bastien didn’t hesitate either. Instead of trailing after Ashley with the expectation that the man would show him his technique, the Braixen decided to set out on his own and try to locate an egg. Clearly there was a tactic to it and that was how Ashley was locating them so quickly; clearly, he just needed to figure it out so that he could take advantage of it as well. The first step to it all seemed to survey their surroundings, which certainly made sense. Bastien focused and looked around. He vaguely remembered this place; it was about here that he was first properly introduced to Ashley and his sister. She was very nice… he wondered for a moment if she lived close by. Focus! He needed to focus. The moment Bastien noticed his thoughts wandering, he violently shook his head. That was another thing he needed to fix if he was going to get better at this egg hunting challenge his trainer had issued to him. Every moment he lost focus was a moment that wasn’t dedicated to locating the egg. That was probably one of the few things Ashley was doing to get a one up on him. Still though, even with his attention solely on the matter at hand, Bastien didn’t know where to look. Aquacorde was certainly a lot smaller than Lumiose, but exactly where was the best place to start? He had to think about it a moment and then, hesitantly, move his way towards some of the taller grass to inspect for any signs of eggs.

No luck on Bastien’s end and once more, Ashley beat him to the chase. While the fox took to searching through the high grass for any eggs, the young man had used his secret skills to locate the egg in less than eight minutes and returned to Lizzie and her Charizard immediately. This time, he didn’t call out to alert Bastien that he’d already found an egg, instead waiting for the fox to reappear of his own accord and discover this for himself. Ashley noted the downtrodden look on his pokemon’s face but made no changes to his own expression; clearly the fox wasn’t quite noticing his intentions just yet for having him out assisting on this hunt. Which was a shame because Ashley had no intention of telling the creature outright what he expected him to do to accomplish this feat. Instead he tucked the egg again and climbed onto the Charizard once more, his own mind wandering to other thoughts. Bastien would figure it out eventually or not at all. That was that.
