Shaking her head again, Yiska directed her heals at Than, figuring that he was the most stupid of the lot (for now), and she didn't want to see him drop.

Than would likely have been saddened to know Yiska's opinion of him. However, she was currently healing him, the warmth of the power she currently held giving him the strength he needed to fight; that made her a friend and ally. "Than is veryveryvery grateful!" His tail was swinging to and fro behind him in a rather spirited motion. The Fae-hound, after all, could tell that though their enemy had become larger still, this particular badling was not so difficult to sink one's teeth into.
Which is what he was currently attempting.
Suffice to say Shadowlings didn't taste very good a'tall.

Okay, now he was just plain entertaining. Yiska stepped back and grinned a cat's grin, tilting her head as she twirled the crown on one finger. He might have been thankful, but the only reason she was still healing him was that he provided entertainment.
Perhaps he could be useful after all, even for small grins here and there.
Grunting, she gave him another heal with a flick of her hand, continuing to spin the crown on one finger with ease. Idly, she wondered what the others were doing. Wasn't this big bad done with life yet?

It made perfect sense as bunny boil (Young-Soo) had proposed to defend the healers while they kept those among them who were more adept at fighting going rather than have all of them spread their forces out so thin. Now who among them all were healers hmm..? Yvette observed from her spot for a bit, trying to pin-point who was playing which role based on their actions alone. Bunny boil she already knew. Who else?
It was funny how much one could discover when one stopped to think and observe their surroundings and those around them for a bit. It didn't take her very long at all to identify one of the healers and then another since they were busy trying to help those who had sustained injuries. Which meant that they were distracted and that was when they would also be the most vulnerable.
And almost as if it had read her mind the gigantic shadowling chose to strike then, its leg sweeping in a wide arc to try to take out two of them at once. There was no time to shout out a warning to them both and expect them to react accordingly so Yvette took it upon herself to act, already on her feet and running to intercept the offending shadow limb. "Get out of the way!"
Taking the hit in their stead, it sent her spinning in the air and then landing a good distance away with a soft whimper, her world once again bursting into all kinds of pain as she curled up on her side and wished that she couldn't feel any more. Well, at least that had worked and she could take some form of solace in that...

Ruth had been gliding around in the background, content to simply watch and relish the delicious chaos and the people's attempts to wrangle some semblance of order. She was laughing to herself, quietly and without a sound of course, but when she noticed a certain red panda ghoul looked like she needed a pick-me-up, Ruth was there to give her one.
No, really, she pretty much wheeled on up to Yvette, reached out to hug and (tried to) lift her into a spin, figure skating-style. And after two, maybe three rotations, Ruth put the other ghoul down. She skated away, backwards, waving goodbye~

Ruth wasn't normally the sort to feel concerned for other people's well-being. She was, however, the sort to want to know the state of those she found interesting. Which was why she went looking for that fun ghoul and when she spotted Simply in the rubble!
Oh no, that wouldn't do! Ruth couldn't help but launch herself towards the rabbit ghoul to offer a hand, and maybe pull Simply into a hug-kiss combo. Maybe. It was entirely up to how quick the ghoul slipped out of Ruth's grasp.

Did she draw her last breath at some point without even realizing it herself? Yvette found herself wondering as she watched Ruth draw closer and closer to her on her pair of skates, a dreamy looking grin on her face now. That... looked like a pretty nifty way of traveling. Definitely would have to look into giving it a shot later. After she had herself a nap which was starting to sound like a really good idea by the minute.
She laughed when the reaper reached for her, her own arms lifting as if to mimic her actions before she was lifted up from where she rested. Twirling with her, she made a whee sound, momentarily forgetting entirely about the gravity of the situation that all of them were still stuck in until she was placed back on her feet, already starting to feel somewhat better as she gave the other ghoul a smile to indicate her appreciation for what she did and then a wave while she watched her wheel on to aid another monster.
This battle was yet to be over for her it would seem.

When the shadow unfurled and grew, Billy paled visibly. He hadn't expected it to get worse. Strangely after the initial shock wore off, he felt more determined and with a huff he once more pushed his floppy flannel sleeves up his elbows.
"C'mon.." He nodded to Estelle and she launched at the beast. The tarantula skittered around the thing, wrapping it in webs thick enough to keep it still and just as she scrambled away Billy was on the thing kicking it and punching it as much as he could.
He didn't escape unscathed though and the farmboil stood panting and bruised. He was visibly drained from the effort.

Billy and Estelle launched once more in tandem. The spider blinded the creature by going for it's face while the boil struck it in the body.
At least until it's radial energy tossed them backwards.
The roughed up reaper trembled in weakness, having to find a piece of discarded maul bench to haul himself up on in order to stand.

Kat whimpered slightly before pushing herself away from the wall she was leaning against. She had watched the proceedings up to this point with trepidation. She would admit that she was afraid that they might not make it however she knew that she had to at least try to hit and kill this thing that was now menacing them. "Well.. I might as well attempt it.. eh Miyuki?" She asked the ghoul near her, using her full name for the first official time. With that said she got back into a fighting stance, claws still out, and took another leaping attack at it. When she landed she fell ungracefully to the floor in pain. However she had a grin on her face despite this. She had landed a hit. She found she couldn't be happier at this moment.

Van was very clearly uncomfortable by the whole tarantula thing, but he did notice that the individual fighting alongside it could probably use some Golden Puppy Magic (of the heals variety, ew).
"Here take this I don't know what I'm doing but hi--" Van rambled at them, approaching at a run and hovering calculatedly out of reach of the Tarantula, wiggling his fingers.
The very instant he was done, pretty golden delicious heals flowing from his fingers into the stranger, he wagged his tail and skittered off someplace. Presumably to heal more.

A boil with a tail and ears seemed a little uneasy about Estelle when he came by and gave Billy a bit of rejuvenation. He didn't have it in him currently to defend his poor familiar. He was never quite sure why everyone was so wary of her, there were spiders ALL OVER in Halloween.
"Thanks.." He nodded.
"Yes thank you! We feel much better!" Estelle echoed the sentiment with a chipper tone.
Wordlessly the two went back to the fray for another attack.

The fox's kiss could still be felt on the boil's cheek, moving a hand up he attempted to rub it off as he blushed slightly. He wasn't use to physical affection, or any affection at all rather. Most tended to keep their distance with him. Right now, this wasn't a matter of concern though. As promised, the rabbit boil cast his heal on Uru before giving him a light pat on the back to keep him going, "Give it your all now, okay?" he said as he began to dash in the other direction, scanning the group to see who was in need of saving. The creature's attacks were taking a toll on Young-soo evident as how he staggered to run, and by the looks of it, a lot of the others weren't going to be able to continue either. This was definitely not good. Not good at all.

Kari grimaced as Ruth shook her head to deny any knowledge of anyone else's location. "I guess... we'll just have to do this... without them...", she mumbled, her voice trailing off while trying not to let her face show how torn it made her say such things. Allies were important, and friends were even more precious. To lose those things is paramount to cutting out a piece of one's own heart.
Kari was broken out of her thoughts by a kiss on the cheek, her eyes widening in surprise. Then she was surprised of another reason, as she felt a warmth creep down from her cheek and flow through the rest of her body. Numerous cuts and bruises faded as she watched in awe. "Thank you... this will definitively help", she replied, trying to break through her gloom with a small smile.
"Allo, mates"
Kari almost thought she was hearing things, but turned around regardless. Touchstone stood there, their hand to their head in a salute while sporting a wide grin. "Touchstone... you... you're here... alive... with... a sandwich..." she murmured partly shocked at the marlboro's arrival as well as the food. Her attention was caught by movement behind a wall. It was Van, apparently having taken refuge from the chaos.
Kari couldn't take it, too many surprises and so many emotions spinning around in her head. Sliding to the ground, the ghoul tried to figure out whether she was grateful the creature hadn't destroyed them, angry that they hadn't said anything, or worried that Edgar was still nowhere to be found.
"IDIOTS, WHERE WERE YOU BOTH... I THOUGHT YOU TWO HAD DIED!", she finally screeched, anger winning out. "Do you know... how hard... it is to fight...when you don't know if your allies... are even alive?", she continued, the volume in her voice decreasing with every word she spoke as her rage become spent and gave way to teary-eyed relief. "Why didn't you say anything?", she questioned, putting her arm over her face in a vain attempt to hold back any tears that would threaten to break free. "Stupid... absolutely... completely... stupid...", Kari finished, her words having none of the previous bite as her words took on what some small part of her brain could only fathom as insane laughter.
The events of the day had been slowly wearing on her, and the enormous relief she felt had been the final straw. As her mind settled, she slowly became aware that the fight was still ongoing. If they were going to finish this fight with everyone, Kari had to stop being so emotional and put her big ghoul pant on. Wiping her face on her sleeve, she picked herself up from the ground and closed her eyes. She needed to do her part, and she could start by providing protection to those that were protecting so many others.
