Nilsine raised a brow at her friend, "Oy, Arvy. Snap out of it. You're a rogue, you wait for no one, remember? Don't start making exceptions now."
The rogue shook her head, "Zat doesn't mean ve should just leave 'im like zis. Besides, I don't zee vat is ze 'arm in slowing down or taking a break. Ez not like ve are in a serious 'urry to finish ze job tonight. Ez still rather early to start worrying about it now."
Nilsine crossed her arms, "Arvada, no. Stop while you're ahead and quit making excuses for this guy. He's a big boy, he can take care of himself. Right?" At the last part, the necromancer looked over to the spitfire.

Embarrassingly, it took a moment for the Spit to answer. He straightened up. He was holding them back, "Ye shouldn'y worry about me. What's wrong with me is of no importance. Ye should keep movin. I'll jus' have t' slow down myself" He felt a sense of happiness that someone was worried about him like that...but he couldn't just make a couple of fast moving Dark Elves stop for him.

"See? What did I tell you?" Nilsine looked back at the rogue. "Let's go."
Arvada gave a sigh and looked at the spitfire, "Vish you luck zen." With that, she left with the necromancer up the stairs. As soon as they were out his earshot, she looked to her necromancer friend, "You zink it vas wise to leave 'im like zat?"
"He's a big boy. Stop worrying about him."

Sigma sighed and he spun his musket with his good arm before making his way up those stairs once more. It was time to take it easy and focus for once.

Floor after floor, each one was made into a battleground for the fight that had long ended before the spitfire arrived. Each time he arrived at a floor or even half way up the next set of stairs, the sound of battle became further and further away. And they say that rangers were fast.

Sigma was starting to wonder about all of this. Perhaps he just chose the wrong place to go.

Eventually, the noises stopped. Had they reached the top of the area? Had they actually fallen in battle? Were they done and were on their way down? Did they move forward to continue ascending the long journey to the top of the sky tower?

The Spit frowned. Something seemed to sit unwell with him as he made his way up the stairs again, his heart racing. This was something he hadn't felt since Izod and the accident...Even when he got there, even when he thought he'd won. . . it was just another loss. And to see what his his team had done and framed. . .

As he continued up, more enemy bodies were scattered around on the floors. The elves did a thorough in sweeping the monsters to the ground. They weren't sloppy killers from what any one would be able to tell. If they were, there would be some audible dying gurgles from the perceived corpses. Thankfully, there were none to distract him. At least until he reached the red gates . . .

The Spit could feel this sense of dread. But the only thing that kept him moving was those red gates. . . what was going to be behind them? Those Dark elves were dangerous killers. As he reached the gate, he stepped through the threshold and rushed up the stairs.

Now the battle was more audible. From the sound of it, the elves were doing just fine. Well, until the rogue was thrown off the main floor and crashed down the stairs in a bloody daze. Just a glance of her could tell the whole story. She was blinded by the sludge and probably missed a few critical moments to get out of the main part of the fire fight. Since she was usually rushing to get in first, it was likely that she was caught right in the middle of a mosh pit of statues and puppeteers.

As she fell past, the Spit caught her and tumbled with her. For being an Empyrean, he was very durable and was strong enough to take a roll down the stairs if he could be crushed by a Slayer and still stand. There was another crack and a sense of pain that rushed through him, but he still held onto the Rouge as they landed at the bottom of the steps.

The rogue grunted in pain as they crashed down the stairs. Her eyes stung as well her broken arm. She clutched a few of her broken ribs from one of the bludgeon hits from earlier with her cut up yet unbroken arm. "Zat'll vill teach me a few. . . Oow. . " Arvada hissed through her teeth.

"Ye alright, lass?" He grunted out as he heaved slowly, trying not to harm her or himself in any way.

"After zat exploding pillar? I don't zink so. . . " Arvada tried to get herself off the Spitfire, but failed from the amount of injuries she had sustained in the fight as well as the tumble down the stairs. She looked up at the stairs with a glare, "I 'ope she's doing vell enough on 'er own. . . Don't zink I can fight at top condition like zis. . . "
