Originally, Colette was just going to sprint onto Candycane Lane before anyone could stop her or change her mind and scream her pleads for forgiveness to those she was leaving behind, but Barth had made her departure an easier and more 'noble' one. She saw his footprints, or what she hoped were his footprints, head in that direction as she approached the edge of the forest; and she was relieved that she didn't have to go alone.

The Reaper turned around and prepared herself to say farewell. She was going to Candycane Lane.

Colette worried if they would be okay, but she just wanted to get this trip over with and felt this was the path for her. Besides, they would probably meet up with Merope. He was huge, they would be fine, right?

She waved to those she had just spent so much time with, nervous at what they would say and think, and spoke, "I'm going to Candycane Lane! Barth headed that way, alone, so.. I should go with him."

What she said was half the reason, more of an excuse really, but she kept the other more selfish reasoning to herself and turned to leave before calling out some last thoughts, "Belladonna has my number, call me if anything goes wrong! Stay safe, and I'm sorry!"

With that, Colette sprinted onto Candycane Lane, her heels clicking with each meeting of the path. They would probably hate her for leaving, but she just wanted to get everyone home as soon as possible.

Mandy had been following silently behind the group, wincing with each step and trying to resist the temptation to clutch at her stomach. Now that the adrenalin of her battle had worn off she was starting to realize how much the hit to her stomach hurt along with all the little scratches. Stumbling a little she couldn't help the sigh of relief when she saw the split in the path.

Her relief as short lived when she heard that Colette and Barth had taken the middle route. The idiots. Now she had to decide, continue with her plan to head south or go after Barth and Colette, as beat up as she was.

Did either of them even have a bell?

Jack had been idly following behind Belladonna, his hands jammed his armpits, looking down to her every so often as she talked and used his time to warm up again, his cat lounging like a living scarf.

He didn't feel like talking much, but decided to skulk everytime she wandered forward, sometimes offering a hand to pull her out of the snow and keep to warming everyone out, his green eyes dimming in light. He did not like this at all, but would follow his 'partner".

(( Exit post ahoy! Sorry guys, Alessa's getting lost and going to the mountains woops << ))

Alessa had been making decent time with everyone when she'd started to get tired. She didn't know if it was because now she was trudging along in her human form or if it was because of having been beaten up by a drunken tree. Regardless, it meant that in the end she lagged behind everyone. Sure, she could still see them, but she definitely wasn't keeping up like she would have liked.

Suddenly she felt warm and a bit nauseous and she found herself toppled over in the snow. Why? She was a rabbit again, Jack damn it all. It was funny how every time she changed she wished she'd had just stayed as she was. Shaking the snow from her body she quickly peeked up from where she'd fallen and...didn't see anyone. Her ears twitched and she called out hesitantly, "Guys?" She didn't hear a sound.

The logical thing would be be to follow the tracks. For some reason this area was covered in them, though. Not typical tracks, but drag marks that seemed to erase everything else. She shivered, having a sickening feeling they had been made by happy trees. Quickly, since she didn't want to run into one of those creepers again, she picked a direction and bounded off, sliding across the snow in spots. She just hoped she was going the right way.

It was hard to keep a good grip on his leg, but not impossible! After a few minutes of pulling, he managed to wiggle free from the trees which pinned him. Noticing this, she released her hold on him; coming close to stumbling over, but managed to catch herself before doing so. Thankfully, there didn't seem to be any damage done to the undead leviathan, allowing her to keep her carol of the bells for future use.

A smile tugged at the corner of her mouth, thankful that they could now continue on. "No problem!" Dusting whatever pine needles clung to her clothing, Mei grabbed a handful of snow, in attempt to remove any tree sap from her hands. "Ugh. Tree sap.." Giving up on it for a minute, she switched her attention back to Merope as he spoke. "Agreed. Umm.. I guess we should keep going straight?" It was, after all, the direction they has already set out in. "Your call."

The dragon bobbed his head to the girl, twisting around to look at his own hide. The dragon now had a pair of white, tree sappy racing stripes down his side. "Huh. Neat! Anyway, straight sounds good to me!"

The undead leviathan carefully moved forward, unwilling to get stuck again. Talk about embarrassment! At least he didn't get ripped in half or anything like that. Now that would be even more awkward.

Thankfully he didn't need to entertain these thoughts too much. "Up ahead! I see the way out!" He called, hurrying forward as fast as he could. "I see it! I can smell the water! YESSSSS! Waterwaterwaterwaterwater!"

Merope took off as fast as he could, heading towards the southern path.

Tsetsiliya had managed to keep up with the group after Rain had gotten back on her feet. She had been lucky so far - at least nothing had come after her yet, but there was still time. Now it seemed that the group was breaking up again, but not because of any argument hanging over them - the forest had ended and there now lay three paths before them.

Which should she choose?

A few students dropped off towards the central path and a few towards the southern. She glanced towards the mountains and the solitary student who appeared to be heading in that direction. Which way to go, which way to go?

Remembering her mantra of 'safety in numbers', she bounded down the middle path as much as the snow would allow her to, hustling to keep up with the others. Candycane Lane couldn't be that bad, could it? The pounding headache in her temples seemed to disagree.

((Exit Post))

She had already watched several of her group go into opposite directions. There was no reason for Iggy and Julian to have to suffer the southern path if they didn't want to. No reason why they shouldn't take the northern one.

She placed Julian's tent against large boulder and pulled out her notepad. The only thing she could find to write with was an old blue crayon she had put in her pocket.

JULIAN. HERE'S YOUR TENT. HEAD WHERE YOU FEEL SAFEST. TEAM SPLIT UP. FOLLOW YOUR HEART. GOES FOR EVERYBODY. GOOD LUCK. RAIN.

She propped the note against the tent with a smaller rock. That should do the trick. Now she had to decide where he heart would lead her. Suicide, that's where. She couldn't let Colette and Barth go down CandyCane Lane alone. She considered herself responsible for her train car and of them all, she figured they would be in the most danger. She headed towards the middle path.

A small snicker escaped the doll as she watched him examine his new 'markings'. At least they didn't clash with his look. No doubt they would have to be careful of where they moved, in case the ran into the same problem again. "Alright then."

Waiting for him to move forward, she decided to follow along in his tracks once again, making it easier for her to move about. The snow would have made it more difficult for her to move, as it seemed to be pretty deep in some areas.

Head snapping up, she took a peek around the boil to get a view of the exit. "Sweet! We can finally get out of this forest!" From the looks of it, a good amount of the water was still frozen, she just hoped it was thick, and not thin ice. Well, there was always a first time for everything. If it came to, she would get her first swimming lesson.

Trying to keep up with Merope, Mei tagged after him to the Southern path.

With Iggy's help, Julian managed to limp up to where his tent was propped up against a boulder, a note with it. He moved away from the stone ghoul, hobbling up to the note to read it. He frowned a bit, all of his original plans dissolving. He had planned to follow Rain since she was in a leadership position.

But now Rain had gone off, out of sight, who knew which way. He never even played the leader character. He could be the tank, he could be the range, but he always had someone telling him which direction to go in. It was just how he was. And now it was just himself and Iggy. He couldn't climb, but he could fly, but she couldn't do that. He was terrified being anywhere near water, it was more of an inconvenience to her to be in it, being made of stone.

"Rain says the t-team split. S-Said to f-follow your heart," he paraphrased, glancing back at the stone ghoul. Follow his heart. He wasn't strong enough to go the fastest route. He was terrified being near water. The mountain path seemed the only way to go. Something pretty substantial would have to change his mind.

"Why are you all going down Candycane Lane?!! You'll all die!!"

With everyone leaving, Alwine soon found herself rather alone.

"This is horrible, I can't go, I'll die..." Alwine shuddered."But... I can't leave them..."

Alwine looked around at the various students choosing their paths.

"I've been with them this long... it would be horrible to abandon them now..."

Alwine looked down at her Carol of the Bells before dejectedly walking down the middle road.

Mandy had just been leaning against a tree to regain her strength for a moment when she felt her eyes drift shut.

Jerking awake with a curse she looked around to find most of the group gone. Feeling a moment of panic she wiped her head around and just managed to spot a whisper of a familiar green dress diapering down the middle path.

Cursing she shouted out, "Winnie! Wait up!", out of the entire group she was the one who seemed to need the most protecting. Cursing one last time she ousted herself up and moved as swiftly as she could down Candy Cane Lane.

For a long time Belladonna just stood there, one hand holding herself steady with the help of Jack's arm, and watched as the group split up. What had happened to Krumm Car, the Friendship Car?! Where had the need to turn rabid reindeer into fellow Battleship players?! Where was the teamWORK!? Her grip on Jack's arm had tightened until she spun upon him, grabbing him by the shoulders and shaking him a little.

"We have to reclaim the friendship car! We have to go with them on CandyCane Lane!! We have to help them fight!" She turned around, steeling herself against such a dangerous road. If all her friends were going down this trail, then she should too. Plus it was quicker so she could meet up with Braum sooner! Speaking of!! A quick text: Hey Ravenbaby! Taking Candy Cane Trail. See me soon, ok?! Was Ravenbaby too much? Yeah, probably, but she could pay for that later!

"Let's go Jack!" And with that she took him and proudly sauntered toward the CandyCane Lane. Well, after she tripped in the snow first.

Something substantial...
Well, a flash of dark hair with pink stripes in the distance just beyond the treeline was a fairly catchy reason. He only knew one student with hair like that and while she was pushy, Sin was someone he knew who would take charge, at least of what he did. And she was his friend. He wished there was more of his closer friends, if Cora and Morty had been here. Tahki being here would have been really great, too. They might have been, they just weren't on his car. And he didn't know which trail they were taking, either.

But he saw Sin, at least he thought he did. And she was heading towards the island route.
And though that was terrifying, at least he'd have at least one closer friend to cling to.

With a smile and a shrug to Iggy, he turned and walking in the direction of the Southern Route, using his wrapped-up tent as a walking stick.

Moon boogies. Hadn't Belladonna JUST been here?! It really had only been a few hours ago and the journey was starting again. Ah well, at least it was starting. She paused at the forest's edge, turning to wait for the others. Someone rather angry sounding had yelled after her and she knew the other would be hot on her coat tails! (Well, she WISHED she had coat tails because it was too jacking cold out here. It wasn't enough that would kill her, but sheesh, it sure made her uncomfortable. A nice pair of black wings would really perk her up right about now...)

"Let's go Team Ninja-Fighters!" She shouted to the others, rearmed with all her previous items, the wreath happily atop her head again. She was going to name it... Something awesome, because it had really done a superb job during that fight. Maybe after all this was over with she could keep it, spruce it up with a few bat ornaments, some pinstriped ribbon and it would look precious in her room! Yes, she might just keep it after all...
"Does everyone want a different team name, maybe? Ninja-Fighters is kind of long... But totally poetic and descriptive!"

Raziel really didn't see a point to trekking all the way through again. They had basically been told that they had no chances of surviving going out again. Oh well. Being in a rather low mood since the infirmary, Raziel wasn't paying much attention to Belladonna's musings about names and whatnot.

Instead he just sighed and asked, "Why are we doing this?" It was said in the most monotone and dreary voice possible, and Raziel hadn't even had to try.
