((That right there is why I love Athena. She can be so retarded and still be completely in character.))

((Hey guys, since that scene kinda stalled, I'm going to go ahead and say it's the next day at MFHS. Laura, Victoria, you don't have to give a s**t, lol.))
The Next Day:
Ialo Enlil was up early, his eyes closed as he stood by the window in his office and repeatedly banged his head into the wall.
"Why..." Thud. "Why..." Thud. "Why..." Thud. "Why..."
Seven was working around him, putting files back in their cabinets and pulling new ones out. She pulled out a few forms and letters, and held them up under her Master's face. He sighed, and whipped a pen from his pocket and scribbled his signature on every line Seven pointed to, on every sheet, then went back to banging his head on the wall.
"Why... Why...." He looked up at Seven. “…. Why do you make me sign the papers when you have a stamp?”
She giggled. “It’s fun this way!”
“You don’t even have to be doing all of this walking around, I know you can use magic.”
“It’s fun,” the machine stressed again. “Two years in high Earth orbit means that we don’t get to use a lot of the abilities you gave us.”
Ialo sighed. “Well, true, I did make sure you would be able to do more than what you would ever probably need to do for normal workloads… But really….”
“Like this!” Seven said, pointing to herself. “How often do we get to walk around like humans in space? Never! That’s why this is so fun!!”
“I’m going to send you back there eventually, you know.” Ialo had stopped banging his head on the wall, and had turned around and was leaning against it.
“Eventually,” Seven agreed, testing her gyroscopes as she spun around. “But not right now, because you need me. Your father asked me to come here to make sure you didn’t get into more trouble, but we both see how well that worked out. And now, you’re using me to do all the normal paperwork that you usually would be doing yourself, so that you can spend your energy on other problems.”
“You’re smart,” Ialo responded.
Seven grinned. “I know. You made me that way. Those military AI chips that got you on the front page yesterday though, they’re nothing compared to us.”
“No, not at all,” Ialo admitted. “That’d be dangerous.” He paused. “And annoying.”
Recognizing the jab, Seven turned around and smiled. “Yeah! Imagine if all Headmasters were asses like you!”
Ialo fell silent, and went back to banging his head on the wall.
Seven giggled. “I win~!”

Ophiuchus did not sleep at all during the night, but he was none the worse for wear from it. He had spent the night thinking, and periodically checking up on the students resting in the clinic. Both James and Athena seemed to be alright, and resting soundly. Lin, he knew, even though she was angry at him for not giving her the potion recipe right away, was alright. Elves were hardy like that. Ialo…. Ialo was hopeless, in Ophi’s opinion. No matter what, he would find a way to get hurt and no matter what, he would find a way to get hurt again before fully recovering from the previous wound.
The only thing, he decided, that seemed to be going well was that no one else had died. If they could keep it that way, it would be wonderful. And if not… Ophiuchus sighed. Of course he could bring people back to life, but only if it was possible to tie the soul back into the body. It didn’t take as much energy as was expected either – he just always got in trouble afterward.
It was always worth it though. Now, if they could just figure out how to stop Setsuka.

In the morning, Danni awoke almost reluctantly, blinking her eyes open and taking a moment to remember where the hell she was. For the first time in...a long while, she awoke wihout a lingering nightmare, or after a couple spotty hours of sleep. No, she was...rested, she realized, and chuckled. This was new.
She was halfway towards the window of the bell tower before she remembered there were no kitchens to get to, and that she wasn't free to roam the grounds unless she went and put a damned invisibility spell on herself.
With a sigh, she looked around her, at the gleaming bells in the tower, then at the ropes. Giving in, and deciding no decent bell tower remained unhaunted for long, she tugged heavily on the ropes, and sent the bells chiming. It was a happy sound, she thought, bright and optimistic.

Hearing the bells ring, Ophiuchus lifted his head off the desk and looked up through the ceiling toward where the belltower was. Last night, he remembered, Ialo asked him a favor. Begged, actually. Ophi snorted. It was the first time he had seen Ialo willing to get on his knees for someone else. The boy owed him several huge favors now.
The healer quietly got up. He wouldn't be gone long. Ophi disappeared, and teleported into the belltower, standing behind Danni.
"Good morning," he said pleasantly. "How are you doing up here?"

Danni merely glanced over her shoulder when Ophi spoke, and a grin flashed over her face when she saw him.
"Doin' just fine. Can't remember the last time I got more than ten hours of straight sack time." She said, stretching her arms above her head as she grinned at him.

"It's amazing," Ophi agreed. "I keep telling Ialo he needs to sleep properly, but he won't ever listen to me unless I'm saving his life. Again. For the third time that week." He grimaced at those memories.
"Anyways, this is about you. I want to talk to you. Let's sit."

Danni raised a brow, looked around. "One second." She stared at the floor in front of her for a moment, her lips moving slightly. After a few moments, two chairs formed, and she picked them up, put them across from each other and sitting in one.
"No furniature in this place." She said with a shrug, though frankly she enjoyed that fact. It discouraged visitors.

"No one lives in here, that's why," Ophiuchus said. "Kai lives in the belltower, sure, but no one lives in this room." He sat down.
"So tell me what's going on, Danni." In his pocket, he had the favor Ialo groveled for. Ophi didn't think it was the greatest idea ever, although he did understand the Headmaster's concern.

Danni raised a brow, shrugged. "I'm being punished, and rightly so. I put a lot of people in danger yesterday, and gave the headmaster a lot of worry. Oh, and I get to be a ghost. That's a new and interesting game." She said, with the faintest of grins.

Ophi smiled lightly. "Think of it as a social experiment, maybe? Anyways, I have something for you." He took out a small candy and unwrapped it, offering it to her. "Eat this. It'll liven up your day a bit."

Danni raised a brow, then looked at Ophi before she took the candy and popped it into her mouth. She chewed and swallowed, then raised a brow. "Yay, sugar. You're right, the day's always better with sugar." She said, amused.

Ophiuchus grinned. "I like sugar. Caroline does too, but Ialo doesn't, which is a shame."
There, Danni had swallowed it. It wasn't actually candy, but a special pill. That was what Ialo had begged for - a sort of qareen for Danni. Something that hopefully, would enrich Danni's life, or at least make 3 AM amusing.

Danni grinned back, patted her stomach. "Sugar's a fine thing. Lia treats it like cyanide. always complaining about her 'figure'." She said the last with no little disgust, shaking her head. "As if she doesn't use every spell known to man to make sure she doesn't gain an ounce. She's have a sweeter disposition if she jsut took in some processed sugar every now and then." She shook her head again, her eyes narrowed a bit.

He chuckled, but advised Danni, "I'd keep those thoughts to yourself as much as possible from now on, you know. Spirits can be brutally honest."
He sat back and waited for the medicine to take effect, and form a new spirit from Danni's soul.
