Yes. They were getting something with the monster. It was taking damage and showing the effects of it. Tjilaki wondered what would have happened if the monster was being attacked by one person instead of many. Would it have taken damage? Would it have a slow and tedious task?

The crack was getting bigger and bigger and the slightest touch seemed to be doing a big deal of damage to it. Tjilaki decided to focus on the cracks and make them bigger and inflict more damage to them.

Then the monster started stomping and swishing its tail around. Tjilaki tried to get out of the way but was knocked to the ground. She tried to roll away from the beast. It seemed to leak some sort of energy and Tjilaki wasn't sure what it would do to her if it falls onto her.

Lieutenant Roselite - 5 + 7 + 2 + 0 because I forgot to roll and to be honest I'm not too worried about it anyway = 14

Roselite didn’t know if it was a very good idea to close his eyes when there was a giant monster still within sight, but he trusted Captain Bloodstone, and it wasn’t like he could do anything about the monster anway.

He couldn’t even think about it; Roselite simply reacted. He did the only thing he knew how to do at that moment and followed orders. His eyes closed and he brought his hands to his ears, pressing hard to block out as much of the noise as possible.

The solidity of the tree against his back helped. Captain Bloodstone’s hand on his chest served as an anchor, too, grounding him in place, giving him something to focus on that wasn’t the swirling mess of thoughts and emotions going around and around in his head. His breathing did not yet return to normal, but it was easier to force himself to inhale slow and deep, one breath after another.

Like this, he missed what was going on with the monster, but that was okay.

He wasn’t much use anyway.[

"I'm sorry," he whispered when he could make himself speak. "I'm sorry."

So much for that potential Captain Bloodstone said he saw in him.

Princess Ganymede - 9 + 6 + 6 + 10 = 31

Ganymede would remark on Benitoite’s confidence (or vanity, perhaps?), but she didn’t have the chance to keep the conversation going. The middle of battle wasn’t really the place for it anyway, amusing as it was.

“Ignore him,” she mumbled to Valhalla when he seemed to be getting frustrated with Benitoite’s comments.

If he was getting frustrated with her... Well, Ganymede didn’t notice. Not yet, at least. Even if she hadn’t been a Princess, she would have tried to protect him just as much. How could he expect her not to, after everything?

He might be safe from a hand in his chest now, but he could still be hurt or killed (and the fact that he was safe from a hand in the chest meant death was an even greater danger than before).

Ganymede hissed when drops of falling energy landed on her exposed arms and legs. Sometimes, she envied Valhalla his layers and armor.

She murmured another attack, but was fast running out of useful magic.

Lieutenant Eveite Damage 9 + 7 + 8 + 4

It appeared to be in it's "final phase" as one might say. She wasn't sure what the terms were, but she knew some things having to do with gaming. She would sometimes put playthroughs on in the background when she needed the noise.

Still, it was getting harder to attack it with all of the energy being throw about. Whether it was coming directly from it's wounds and pooling underneath or being thrown about like rain coming from the sky she hoped to avoid as much as she could. Add in the fact that it was now randomly attacking with it's arms meant that she needed to get away from it.

She hopped back and threw another rock, this one a bit smaller and probably at a worse angle due to how she had to throw it, but she managed to hit it, even if it was just a little.

Page Voyager Damage 2 + 9 + 8 + 6

Voyager quickly shook his head. "No, I think they're coming from the energy that the creature is now spilling due to our attacks." At least from what he had observed, if he was wrong then he was wrong, it's not as if he knew how to handle a giant monster better than anyone else. It was the first time he was going up against such a thing!

And hopefully the last. He did not sign up as a Page to go up against a giant monster.

Okay well he kind of did. But the sign-up had been a complete surprise to him. He supposed as a "Page" that he was supposed to protect people from danger which could include fantastical monsters.

"But I can't say for sure! All I know is our pelting it with rocks seems to be doing something!" He said while throwing another one before ducking as an arm sweep just missed him.

Paradise, Page of Cosmos - 9 + 4 + 3 + 2 = 18

Paradise was more than happy to offer assistance to the Senshi (Pleione) stuck under the tree branch. That must have been horrible! And terrifying!

“Are you injured? Can you stand? Have you had any water recently?” she fussed over him, offering him a helping hand to stand if he needed it. Of course, that was before she realized her husband was going to charge at the monster with his new found weapon.

She gasped in distress as she watched him, but didn’t withdraw her hand from the Senshi. She would have to have a long discussion with him on who was more likely to get hurt while being magical.

“Let’s get you away from any more monster attacks,” Paradise said, trying to lead the Senshi to somewhere safer while also keeping an eye on her husband. Avoiding the monster’s magic seemed like a good idea.

General Faustite: 5

As the fight wore on, he grew more useless — the creature cracked, broke away in chunks, rained rivulets of white-hot energy down on anyone who lacked ranged attacks, including himself. It left him mincing when he tried to strike it, wary that a hypertensive burst of wet energy would soak him at any moment. His next attack did exactly that, and he was sprayed in his chest and core with glowing white.

Which burned too much for Faustite to simply ignore. Even with Encke taunting him, he couldn't convince himself to get close to the enormous reptile just yet. And as it stomped and slashed, there was far more to avoid than there was damage to inflict. Acrobatics delivered him from most of it — flips and leaps and corkscrews to dodge feet and tail and shockwaves — though he realized his miscalculation too late when a flip landed him in the direct path of one of the claws. The thing caught him in the grate, sparing him from the brunt of the damage, but it sent him flying like a (semi-)human projectile.

He thought up a slew of expletives as he flew past Cymophane and Kamacite, then Taenite and Remarque (gasoline and matches, those two would be, and Taenite would get himself killed with that mouth), Benitoite and the Princess and some Knight (really quite interested in that Princess, wasn't he) and he was finally close enough to the ground to recover himself with a wrist-killing rebound that landed him much too near Encke (any distance, he decided, was too close).

The burning in his midsection abated, though he was convinced that pain would be a staple in this fight.

"Can't do it, Argon, too weak and stupid," he commented back dryly. "Say, your magic. Does it amplify with a conductive surface?" He hadn't taken his attention from the creature, but he stood straight at last and wiped his fall-breaking hand off on his pants.
