I stand ready to run towards danger. I stand ready to protect the innocent and defend the weak. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

It was completely and utterly clear by her reaction that he may have taken things just a smidge too far. However, it was clear by the smirk plastered all over Eli's face that he did not regret a thing. In the end it succeeded in the one thing he had been aiming for, amusing her and putting a smile on her face. He would never go as far as to say he was a class clown, but he did a lot of silly things with the hope that it would make Cali smile. His plots usually worked, even if it were for no more a reason than the fact that she was laughing at his own momentary stupidity. Granted, he was happy to make anyone smile or laugh, especially if they seemed like they needed it, but he never went to quite the lengths that he did with Cali. As in most things in his life, she was a very special exception. At her comment though, the smirk transitioned into a more sincere smile for just a moment. "Good, just the way I like it." He told her, referring to the fact that he would much prefer her at his side until one of them were to meat the all so forbidding and inescapable grasp of death.
Eli had a special trick for being able to read the delicate girl beside him. That, and he knew such things from past experiences. He knew that she was both confused and flustered by the way he was so easily able to reassure her about hurting him, how he was able to encourage her to do it again, over and over like he never learned his lesson. He was like a child in that sense, never relenting to whatever thing t was that kept injuring him simply because the experience was far better than the pain itself. He had explained it to her time and time again, but it never truly seemed to click in her mind. His finger to her lips quieted the subject for the time being, however she wasn't about to relent on the seriousness of infections. For the first time since arriving here, a frown touched his lips, pale forehead crinkling slightly as his electric orbs peered down at her. The exact instance she spoke of was not a memory he held fondly. It had been terrifying for him. He had never been entirely sure what to do, but none of the doctor's he called would dare come near her once witnessing her pestilence. Eli had done his very best, facing the full wrath of it to take care for her. Many of the scars he'd received from her were from that time. He didn't regret a single one and would gladly do it again. Especially if it meat keeping her alive. A world without her in it didn't seem like one worth living in. Not to him anyway.
Eventually he had managed to acquire some medication... in a very questionable way mind you, considering the two young orphans did not have means of obtaining such funds. After some time he nursed her back to health, but he had been so afraid he was going to lose her and such a loss would have taken him as well. It was not a thing he could have walked away from. Not something he could have recovered from. Her passing would have been like a terminal illness for him. Slow maybe, but excruciating, and eventually a very tragic and inevitable end. "Cali." He murmured, very serious all of a sudden. "A life threatening lung infection is far different than a very minor skin infection." He stated, looking down at her, face serious yet eyes still soft. Her very next comment caused a laugh to escape his lips and as suddenly as the serious nature had come, it was gone again. "But if it means that much to you, I'll put the aloe on it, just sunscreen first." He agreed, giving her a smile that he very-well knew would get him out of any trouble he had made.
With swimming decided, the nose boop wars begun, and sunscreen applied to the entirety of her upper body, Eli couldn't help but wonder what on earth she was doing, pulling away from him all of a sudden to raid through the bag. He watched her closely, one eyebrow raised, almost like he expected some sort of mischief. His confusion only grew when she handed him the beach towel, asking him to hold it up. Just as she suspected, he complied without so much as a question, simply waiting to see whatever it was she had in store for him. Honestly, he couldn't have been happier with the outcome. He blinked once, before letting out a soft chuckle. "I suppose I should have known that the real reason you keep me around is to be you're personal lounge chair." He teased, speaking close to her ear. After a moment he wrapped his arms gently around her, holding her gently against him and lifting her feet slightly off the ground as he slowly slid down in the sand until he was sitting with her between his legs, resting against his chest. "But you might have made a dire mistake... I'm not so sure I'll ever feel like releasing you."

She always had that look about her, that look of otherness... ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Sinking further beneath the icy blue depths, lungs burning for oxygen, she felt the panic beginning to rise in her once more. The same panic she had felt back at the shoreline. The same panic that had vanished completely almost as quickly as it had arrived. She felt it gripping at her heart, constricting her chest. Surely it would have made it just as impossible for her to breathe above the surface with the way it was squeezing her, like a giant's fist. She wasn't expecting a savior or a hero. She honestly wasn't even sure anyone on her team had noticed her fall... and even if they had, they hadn't the slightest clue that the tiny human they'd come to known as brave and adventurousness hadn't the slightest clue. By the time they noticed something was wrong, they would still have to swim out to her, and by the time they actually reached her, it would be much too late. At this point, Zylah had even stopped kicking and flailing. The motions seemed too entirely futile. It just made her muscles burn and eat through her remaining oxygen much more quickly. Instead she had submitted herself to her fate, letting herself sink. The girl was not afraid of death. It was something she had faced many times, something she knew would come to her at one point... However, drowning seemed like a particularly awful way to go.
In an attempt to distract herself from the pain in her torso and the dark shapes blurring her vision, she focused her vision instead on the beautiful seen playing out in front of her. Beneath the depths of the ocean, a beautiful aquatic world was on display. brightly colored fish swimming past her, vibrant coral with seaweed dancing so elegantly between it. It really was a wonderful sight, but something else cut through it, quite literally. Her surfboard was driving impossibly towards her and all Zylah could do was stare wide-eyed, both eyes visible for once as her pale locks sprawled around her. She was too shocked and confused to feel even the slightest bit relieved as the surfboard scooped her up from underneath so that she was now straddling it. However, she listened to the strange, seemingly disembodied voice, her hands gripping the edges of the board. As the breached the surface of the water in a spray of ocean water, shining beneath the sun like a thousand diamonds, Zylah sucked in a large breath. falling forward on the board and a fit of coughs wracked her body. After a moment she was left in a small heap upon the board, sputtering as her lungs finally manged to hack up all the water she had swallowed, breathing heavily as her heart strained to pump the oxygen through her veins once more.
"Should we return to shore?"
Having been so preoccupied with feeling her lungs with oxygen once more, she hand't even heard the vice until that question. It was the same voice she'd heard beneath the water, though it was less distorted now. Bolting upright so quickly she rocked the board and almost slipped off it once more. That graceful elegance she carried while on land seemed to be completely amiss here in the water. She twisted her head around, searching for the source of the voice, almost expecting someone to be floating beside her. Finding no one, she returned her gaze to the board, one a bright cerulean blue that rivaled that of the sky, and the other a milky white, s similar to the wispy clouds trailing its surface. However, both were lit with a child-like curiosity. "How odd.." Seemed to be the only thing she could think to say as she slowly brushed her fingers lightly over the surface of the board, staring at it as if she were trying to discern exactly what sorcery possessed it. Little did she know it was just that, a possession, by a wheel-chaired girl just off the shore. There were no thoughts of insanity, just a simple curiosity to figure it out.
"WE NEED HELP!"
However, it was all interrupted by the distressed plea from her captain. Eyes shooting up, she searched through the waves. noticing Aaron but no trace of Luina. For a moment she wondered if Luina didn't know how to win either... If that were the case she would feel rather silly for being so embarrased about not knowing how herself that she nearly died because of it. Yet, if that were the case it didn't explain Aaron just standing there and it wasn't long after that she noticed the blue-haired girl standing near their now fallen umbrella, Charlotte kneeling near the fallen body of the man she had been hugging just moments before. It seemed with the distraction of nearly drowning and her possessed surfboard, she'd missed all the commotion. The idea of learning to surf on a board that drive it's self was just all too tempting, she found herself looking longingly out at the waves, however, her team was in distress and it would be wrong not to help. Sighing softly she looked down at the board. "Thanks for the save, pal. I'd be fish food were it not for you... whoever you are...... but do you mind giving me a lift?" She questioned, jerking her chin towards the shore where her team was gathered.

XXXWith a gaze fixed on his, she could truly feel the sincerity in his words. While they barked back and forth with crude and playful comments, a topic such as this always boiled down to a common truth they shared. Whenever it was said, Cali would feel her heart begin to flutter. Nothing could replace the special feeling in her heart that only he could create. They had every intention to stick to each other like glue until the day came they were simply no more. It was a concept that always loomed on the horizon, something she knew quite well due to the very nature of her semblance. But if that time truly came, and he was the one chosen to part from the world... Well, she would've lost her world. The concept of existence was already painful enough. Nearly unbearable, in fact. It was only his presence that kept her pressing on. Surely if he was to cease and meet his end, she wouldn't even make it through the five stages of grief. No no, in fact.. She might just let herself succumb to her own decay, hoping to find her light in her own passing. It wouldn't come to that, it couldn't come to that. She would use every ounce of her being to make sure he could live on, just as she had done in the past.
... Oh no. What did she say? It was ever so brief, but she noticed a furled brow and the concerned expression that quickly plagued his face with a frown. What could it have been? Her mind began to race at the possibilities of what was said, but realistically she was oblivious to the nature of her previous lung infection. It had hit her hard and left her severely disoriented and under the complete care of her compassionate partner who babied her through every step of the way. So disoriented though, she never knew the true struggles that he went through to try and help her with her recovery. All she remembered was that she kept fighting the urge to follow a light that seemed to beckon to her. That was because the light was false. The only light that she had was Eli, who was right there by her side the entire way. He seemed so opposed to releasing the full details of her recovery. It just came to a matter that something he did, whatever he did, saved her from the horrid illness. This was only further emphasized with his unusually serious tone that very firmly explained the differences between her lung infection and a minor skin infection. So serious, but the compassion radiated in his soft, electric hues that conveyed his reasoning so deeply in her core. ... Still, she was concerned for his own well being. Even the smallest infection could spread to something disastrous, and she would stress this matter in a rather humorous way. Such a method brought a smile back to her beloved's face with a laugh and secured her in a victory. Though his smile said it all; Eli was the one who truly one by pushing the conversation away from her nagging. No matter, she was simply content on how he was willing to comply.
Eli had fallen for her trap a second time. While this wasn't the nose boop that she had so gracefully pulled off, it was a tactic she used to get as close as she could to him. To feel his presence without causing him pain, and to feel his warmth which embraced her like the golden sunrays. "Absolutely. You've always been my favorite seat. And, just like the creeps, no other chair seems to put up with me. Your persistence knows no bounds~ So I have to milk it when I can." She bore a wide smile that showed her satisfaction with her work as his arms moved to drape around her in a warmhearted embrace. She was filled with such contentment to rest against him and feel her own lightweight self-lifted from the grasp of gravity. It was in his arms that she felt the most secure. No worries crossed her mind, aside from the lingering decay. The pain of the pass would fade, and the worry of the future would merely become a distant thought to concern herself with later. Surely, right here, right now, was all that mattered to the both of them as she eases and nestles herself into her favorite position against his chest. Her head resting against his ribcage with her ear listening out for her favorite sound, aside from his voice. Ba-dum. Ba-dum. Ba-dum. His heart would sing for her, pounding against his chest. She could hear it, she could feel it. Truly, this was the white noise that could comfort her from any distress. A smile of contentment would spread across her lips. Eyelids fluttering slower and slower before closing. To his 'threat,' a light-hearted giggle would escape her breath. "Oh no... What a terrible fate indeed... Whatever am I going to do to get away...? I suppose... I'll just have to suffer, hm?" It was moments like this that she didn't even worry about her pestilence. With the faintest barrier, she knew that she had time before she'd need to worry. For once, at the beach, she could actually relax. "I suppose there's no water then... For I'm trapped in an impenetrable prison... Woeisme.. Woeisme..." In fact, his embrace and his heartbeat seemed to send her drifting off into maximum comfort. If they weren't careful, he might just become a bed for her gentle head.

XXXIt was certainly a scene straight out of a movie. The haunted surfboard coming to aid the poor woman from a trip to Davy Jones' locker. To stop her from meeting the same unfortunate fate that the soul surfer had. Obviously, that wasn't the case. It was some interesting imagery, though. Maria remembered it so clearly. Crisps and clear images burned in her mind of watching a woman with a pale complexion struggle for her final breaths before coming to terms and merely coming to terms with her fate. Uniquely different hues just watching, waiting for her fate to conclude beneath the waves. Maria, however, wasn't going to let that happen! As quickly as she had lost herself and nearly drowned, the two of them would break the surface of the water and let life breathe into the woman once more. The board was calm and stable among the constantly shifting and waving surface of the water. Staying still just long enough for Zylah to get her barrings and cough up all that she inhaled. 'There there, deep breaths my friend." The board would assure her, only hoping that the damage of such dirty water was kept to a minimum. Though Maria had no visible eyes on the board, she could clearly see around her. Thus, she had a vividly clear image of the curious face that stared down at her. And such eyes would see a iridescent, and nearly prismatic shimmer of an aura along the board she road. 'How interesting, her eyes are different colors.. They match the sky... "Pretty..." The disembodied voice echoed softly as she felt the fingertips graze against her new found body. It was rather interesting. She could feel the pressure against her, such a light and delicate touch. She, however, as a surfboard, had no touch receptors that could clearly feel the texture or warmth of her skin. It was something that both her natural body and possessed body seemed to share, as unfortunate as it was.
Words of panic tore through the seaside as someone began screaming for help. Funny enough, it wasn't the person that nearly died beneath the waves. No no, she was fine. Simply trying to find her own bearings on the calm board And much to her disappointment, it meant that it was time to return to the shore. Maria did have fun while it lasted though, actually finding herself happy to have come to the beach. ... After all, if she hadn't come, then someone may not have left the beach today. That truly would've been an unfortunate fate. "No thanks needed. But it seems we have another to save, so of course." It was impossible to see, as Maria did not have a face as a board.. But, if she did, she would've been smiling up at the woman. She'd have so many stories to tell Prism once they got back, and once they were sure everything was okay. To her request, the board itself would begin to drift along the open waters, utilizing the waves to push her onwards. The phenomenon would've been impossible to explain, like most cases of such mystic semblances. What mattered though was that it worked, and they were on their way to the shoreline. Directly towards a slumbering girl in a wheelchair with a robot by her side. As they began their drift, Maria's own curiosity would peak. "So... What did you think?" The disembodied voice seemed to whisper, asking such an open-ended question before correcting herself and continuing. "Of the view down there, I mean..." The voice would drift, much like they did on the open waves as they grew closer and closer. "Hard to breathe, but a breath taking sight... Isn't it? I wish I could see it with my own two eyes, but I'd be even worse off than you were." After all, at least Zylah could at least try for her life. If Maria had fallen to such a state, it would've surely been the last thing she ever laid her eyes upon. But, she just might be okay with that.
After simply moments adrift among the waves, the two of them would finally wash up on the shore at the same place that Prism had brought her body. It was so close to the action, but Prism had it's prime directives to keep her body safe if she was ever to leave it. The iridescent shimmer of aura would become visible once more as the surfboard found itself beached, with one last voice calling. "This is our stop, I'll see you on the other side. Lead the way for my friend here, they might be able to help." With the last shimmer, the iridescent aura would begin to fade from the surfboard, the magic that enchanted it finally draining. If Zylah had watched the board in that transition, she would see the iridescent aura shift and mold as it took formation outside of the surfboard... Taking the shape of a transparent girl, that had oddly similar traits to herself but matched the slumbering girl in the wheelchair. The shimmering girl would wave at her, before springing back into her body. A weak gasp would pull from her lips as her eyes opened, easing back as her fingers so softly gripping the handles of her chair. Perhaps Zylah would be able to piece two and two together, now or later. Prism, however, had overheard the prior conversation that Maria as a board was having with her apparently new found companion. Thus, would offer its' assistance. "I did sense a call of distress. If necessary, please lead the way. I will do everything in my capability to assist in the situation." Now that Maria was safe and sound, Prism was prepared to assist by any means necessary. So long as that was the request of the woman, and desire of Maria.

❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀ Ora would watch as Lena was being ultra loving, and even saying that she would leave with her. Ora was happy to hear that, but thinking about it, did she really want Lena to be in constant danger. Ora didn't know what she wanted right now. Her emotions were too high right now. She would take her back off of the wall, and it would still be glowing a radiant pink. She would place her back back to the wall. "We are trying to get my back to stop glowing silly." she would place a finger on Lena's nose.
She didn't think that talking about this was helping, not with how much warmth she was feeling. She didn't understand this emotion. It felt like it was about to swallow her. She didn't know what would happen if she didn't fight it. If anger consumed her, and made her destroy everything in her path, then what would happen if this warmth consumed her. She didn't want to rush into anything as she felt the emotion push against her. She would bite the side of her lip, causing it to bleed. She had to stay herself.

Watching Ora the insect Faunus felt bad that she was still hiding who she was, but having the full story she understood. When the blood came out, after the poke on the noise which she laughed a little, Lena cleaned it up. "Don’t make yourself bleed over it. I like that some of your emotions show. Assuming it works like any other color/emotion chart thing, pink means you’re in love." She continued to hold Ora's hands, looking at it a little. "I felt awful when you started to hurt yourself, thought it was my fault. I thought you were hurting yourself because of me." She looked back over to Ora, pushing her forward a little to see the pink glow. "Love is a powerful emotion Ora, I don’t think this will go down for a while."46OoC: Bikini- https://goo.gl/images/gw1mMY

❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀ Ora watch as Lena would clear the blood from her face. Telling her that if pink was showing, then maybe it was love. She had never felt love before, yet now, it was threatening to swallow her whole like Anger did. She looked at Lena, panicked a bit. "My kind get sweeped up with emotion. When I was slamming my head into the boardwalk, I wasn't hurting myself. In fact, I don't feel any pain from doing that. I was trying not to lose control of my anger..." Her voice was low. She knew what things meant from here on. "I black out when I get angry, last time it happened, I apparently caved in another student's chest." She wanted to tell Lena how serious this was.
Lena was trying to comfort her, but it wasn't what she needed. She felt the emotional wave hit against her mental wall, threatening to take it down. The warmth in her soul was firing up, and the wall felt like it would crash down at any moment. She knew that she couldn't run from Lena, as Lena was faster than her. She couldn't even leave this building until the glowing stopped...unless someone thought it was just her Aura...She didn't know what to do. She needed this to stop before something bad happened.

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- Remus's head tilted ever so slightly as she chuckled at his enthusiasm. But she seemed to take to it quiet well. Ella apparently was all for this challenge. He gave her a questioning look when she said that she must of missed his first introduction while trying to decide if he was a threat. "If I was a threat then I doubt I would of approached you out right and struck up a conversation. From a practical stand point it is too important to not surrender the element of surprise when it can be implemented into hostilities." He stated matter of factually. His right hand rose to his face so that he could use his index finger to scratch at his jaw line. "Besides, if I had a say in the matter I would always rather not to have to hurt a girl... Anyway lets find our spot and get started." After steering the conversion away from that and back to the matter of the sand castle a smile crept across Remus's lips as he nodded. Ella hadn't taken his hand to be lead along. To be honest he wasn't even sure she noticed he had offered it. None the less she followed along. Once they were underway on the boardwalk Remus guided them closer to the railing. Walking along the boardwalk here would just make scanning the beach easier. Remus was a good head and shoulders taller than Ella and she would notice that as he walked his attention wasn't just focused on the beach. Every so often his stride would slow just a bit and he would glance back to check on her to make sure she was keeping up. Eventually Remus came to one of the access points to the beach. He pointed out a wide open spot that was a good thirty or forty feet from the closest group of people on the beach. From up here they could also make out the line in the sand that marked the high point the tidal waters reached. The spot was a good five or seven feet from it as well. Assuming the diameter of this castle ended up being something like ten foot wide. "How about there? Looks level and it should be sufficiently far enough away from everything it needs to be removed from." Remus kept his eyes fixated on the spot in question as he made his way down the stairs to the bottom of the sea wall. Since he kept his eyes on the spot he should be able to make his way to stand on the spot and draw a little X in the sand with his foot with only minimal amount of deviation. He turned to look at Ella for her verdict. If she Oked it then he would take off the back pack he had been wearing and set it down. Upon opening it up the contents of a number of various sized shovels and pails would be revealed. There were a few other hand held tools as well to help with packing and leveling and general sculpting of the sand. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- Post Count: 4 | Company: Ella | Condition: Good OOC: Format is crap, format is holder, Cookie will finish format soon, but post happens

Lena thought a bit as she gave a soft sigh. "We could let it ride out, let you burn through the emotion at the moment. I don’t know if it would pass as an aura, it’s coming from one area." The blacking our was interesting side effect. She kept thinking, trying to come up with solutions for the glow. "I could try strapping my weapon to you. Say it’s an experimental low fuel burn for its jump jet feature. Couple little tweeks and I can have my pack glow any color." Looking to Ora she gave a nod. "I know you'll be you, but working through the emotions now might help with it later."47OoC: Bikini- https://goo.gl/images/gw1mMY

❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀ Ora would pull on her horns to bring her head down. It felt like what she needed to do in order to ride it through. Lena wasn't understanding...This was infuriating, but she wasn't angry. "Lena..." She would say, her head still down, it was muffled against her legs. ..."when I'm angry, it isn't me. I don't know what happens, I lose chunks of time, and I don't want you to get hurt." She would pull harder on her horns. "I don't know what this emotion will do if I let it out, I've never felt it before." She knew how to deal with anger, sadness, joy, loneliness, and fear, but love, she had no point of reference on it.
The emotion would settle down a bit, however, she didn't think that would last too long. It was still bashing against her mental wall, but she didn't want anything to happen. There was only one recourse. "Lena, if I stop speaking, run from me." She didn't know what happened during the time that she was out, but she didn't know what would happen.

Blinking a bit, and seeing Ora's frustration, Lena started to feel bad for not fully understanding the situation. Touched by the not want wanting to get hurt comment it confirmed what Lena had been thinking the pink glow meant. Moving to be in front of the girl she loved, taking her hands she looked at her, a determined look. "I’m not going anywhere Ora. I’ve got options I can pull still. But I won’t abandon you and I sure as hell won’t leave you." Her look showed she meant it, she wouldn’t budge and wouldn’t change her position. I stand ready to run towards danger. I stand ready to protect the innocent and defend the weak. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

it was true that the too of them would never truly know the extent to which each suffered for the other. Eli on the daily, with her pestilence and the neverending dryness which often turned to rawness. Him, who was the only person alive to share those same scars that she did. Those formed from overexposure to her toxic semblance. Made worse to the fact that he never held any sort of restraint when it came to her. Not even when he could afford it, so when she was sick, or in need, there was never the slightest of hesitation. But, then there was Kali, small and delicate as she might seem, even taking her nature out of the picture, there was a fierceness inside her that one might see if they knew just how to poke and prod her. Take the bandits all those years okay. Eli had been too we erk to defend himself or too defend her, drained of blood, energy, and aura, it was all she could do to keep their attention off of him, the spider boy. All she could do to keep him alive, her spider boy. Yet, after years of pain and suffering, neither of them seemed bothered by the fact. They would charge blindly into it all over again if it meant saving the other, and more so, if it meant staying together.
Stuck in a trap, but one he didn't mind 8n the slightest, Eli rested his chin upon her head, staring out at the waves gently washing up onto the shore and back again. At this rate they might not ever actually make it to the water, but he couldn't say he really minded. He was perfectly content to sit here with her in his arms until the towel rotted away and they were forced to separate lest he be succumbed to a much worse fate then itchy, dry skin. He sighed softly to himself, po hushing the thought from his brain and focusing instead on the here and the now and the oh-so precious being tangled up in his limbs. "My only wish is to provide nothing but the best of thrones for my queen, my persistence is nothing but an added benefit in this case." He teased gently, the cheeky grin returning to his lips. He let the quiet linger between them, listening to the gentle sounds of the ocean as the sea breeze tugged softly at their locks. Voices and laughter echoed around the pair, but it was lost to them. They were in a world all their own. A world they shared, oly them, and he was happy to keep it that way.
Eli was unable to do much else but smirk down at her and over overly dramatized reaction to his playful threats. "Oh, is that so?" He questioned, raising a dark brow at her that little smirk plastered to his lips. It was such an easy expression, a natural expression, a totally Eli expression, as she might put it. "You do look quite miserable. You clearly aren't enjoying yourself in the slightest. What a pitiful life." He went on sarcastically, though if she looked closely enough she would see the gears turning behind his baby blues. The workings of what could be no less than a mischievous plan. "No, no... that just won't do. We couldn't have that. I'll just have to fix that." He grinned at her, a child who knew the exact extent of trouble he was about to be in but was not hindered by it in the slightest. If anything, it only encourages him more. If he would have been still, would have let her rest just a while linger, it was very likely she would have fallen asleep. She often did if left to the soft rhythm of his heart for extended periods of time. Eli wouldn't have minded. In fact it was safest for him while she was asleep, as her pestilence seemed to diminish when she slipped into the unconscious realm. However, this was her first time at the beach and even though they could come back in the due future, the battle for that would likely not be nearly as hard as it was the first time, Eli was determined to make sure she enjoyed herself to the fullest this time around.
The spider faunus moved quickly and fluidly, transferring his arms so that once stopped her right under the knees while the other cradled her back, keeping her close to his chest. He stood with what seemed like minimal effort before make a mad dash for the waves, carrying her as easily as if she were nothing but a life-size rag doll. In all honesty, her petite stature and petite fram was not much in comparison. The grin on his face grew as his feet hit the waves and he ran through the icy waters, the crystalline drops spraying around them, chilly as they splashed upon their skin. Once they were far enough out, Eli smirked down at her. "Plug your nose." He warned lightly before gently tossing her into the water a couple feet ahead of them. He watched just long enough for her to break the surface of the water before diving in himself, a small chill running up his spine as the cold waves enveloped him.

She always had that look about her, that look of otherness... ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

For a girl who'd nearly just drowned, Zylah by no means met the part. Wide curious eyes and an excited grin painted across her face she looked nothing than tha pleased. The only real sign of her near-death experience was the fact that she was utterly soaked, that and the fact that she was still slightly breathless. However, considering they were on a beach, even those too things were not out of place. As the magic surfboard complied to her wishes to return to shore, Zylah sighed softly to herself, looking longingly back at the waves one last time before focusing on the shore ahead, sweeping a delicate arm across her face to move the pale locks that kept dripping into her eyes. In all the commotion and excitement, she'd all but forgotten about the one thing she'd worked so hard to hide from everyone, including her teammates, her left eye. The milky white color that was so vastly different than the bright cerulean of the other. A reminder of the sight that had been so tragically stolen from her, staring wide-eyed a head, but not really seeing. It was now a sight for anyone who wished to gaze upon.
Surely she must have looked utterly insane, straddling a surfboard that seemed to drive itself, and speaking to someone who could not be seen. The question from the unidentified source was a broad one. One that left Zylah staring thoughtfully as if trying to figure out exactly which thought of hers the feminine voice wanted her to share. A moment later there was clarification and the thoughtful look turned into a wide grin. "Oh!" She exclaimed, innocent in her child-like excitement. It would be nearly impossible to guess what dark secrets and torments lay hidden beneath her bubbly exterior. "It was exquisite! I've never seen anything like it... and it wouldn't have been the worst way to die had you not come along... Well, the oxygen deprivation would not have been pleasant, but at least it was a pretty sight..." She rambled on for a moment before her voice trailed off. She was quite, but a moment later another thought occurred to her and she didn't hesitate to share it. "I've never actually been to a beach before."
At the next comment from the voice, she blinked in confusion. "Worse off how?" She questioned, clearly intrigued. However, it seemed it would have to be an answer for a later time. The board had just met the everlasting golden gleam of the sand and there seemed to be much more dire matters at hand. Luina's panicked voice was a reminder of that. "The other side, right." Zylah commented absentmindedly, as if she new exactly what the voice meant by that comment when in reality she had absolutely no idea. Her eyes never left the board as the iridescent glow left its surface and instead took the shape of a glimmering and translucent. Zylah watched with a mixture of confusion and excitement as the body traveled across the beach, right up to the moment she disappeared in to the body of a girl in a wheelchair beneath the watchful eye of the robot that towered over her. Eyes widening all she could do was stare in a stunned silence, though the confusion was slowly melting away as the pieces fell into place. After a moment a wide grin spread on her lips and she sprinted across the sand to the unique pair. "Wow..." The breathlessly shocked word was all she could muster before turning on her heal to head towards her team. There would be much to discuss later.
By the way Zylah kept peering back at the two to make sure they were following, it could be assumed that she might have just grabbed maria by the hand and pulled her along, forgetting all thoughts of personal space as she often did. There were just too many thi gs going against that option, she she relented to leading the way instead. It didn't take long before they reached the spot on the beach she had claimed earlier. Only now the umbrella was knocked over and the towel was askew. The man Charlotte had been hanging on was lying on the ground looking rather lifeless while the faunus leaned over him and Luina called for help. Zylah kept her distance, not wanting to crowd them. "What happened?" She questioned, looking between Charlotte, Luina, and the man as she spoke. Her pale hair was still swept back, leaving both of her eyes visible for once. Blue and white. Sighted and blinded.

Life, is like the ocean. It can be rigid, or it can be still... ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Upon receiving the bag with the swimming suit his master had instructed Dani to purchase, Jentel walked away, presumably to change. The pink hair girl waited, holding their spot in line, still slightly pink cheeked and appearing to try and make herself as tiny as possible. There were a lot of people and with that, a lot of commotion. The smell of the sizzling meat was still making her nauseated and the noise surrounding the bungalow was making her rather jumpy. Ahe was finding herself growing increasingly uncomfortable, especially with the lack of the much taller guy at her side. She hadn't really noticed how dependent she'd come on Jentel. Not to say she couldn't do things for herself. It wasn't that type of a dependency. It was more so that she felt slightly more comfortable with him near her. Not entirely afraid of the world. It was strange... it wasn't like that with Feng, though that could be accounted to her torturous nature, but it wasn't like that with Ulysses either. The most she could determine was it had something to do with that first day they'd met back in the cafeteria and the fact that she had clung to his side ever since. Both her her own comfort, but also to help him l. Not just because his master had asked her to, but because she wanted to. The entire situation was rather confusing and the more she thought about it the more crimson her cheeks turned.
Daenerys waited for nearly thirty minutes for him to return. The shy faunus wasn't a very good place holder. That was likely contributed as much to her timid nature as it was the fact she was dreading reaching the front of the line. Unaware that there were mushroom tops grilling, she feared having to turn down the meat that Tessa had worked so hard to cook. Dani had no intentions of hurting anyone feelings or causing offense. Especially when, despite the fact that Dani didn't know Tessa well, she had stopped Feng's vicious little attacks towards her from time to time. It was something Dani would never forget and always be grateful for. Eventually after waiting for so long, Dani came to the conclusion that Jentel would not be returning. She might not admit it, but that fact saddened her. Not o ly that but it brought a familiar sensation of anxiety bumbling in her chest. Ahe couldn't help but fear that she had done something wrong. Had she bought the wrong kind of suit? Did the fact that his master contacted her and not him anger the guy? Had he possibly seen the messages over her shoulder and become offput by the underlying and suggestive meaning of some of them? The list could go on and on. The more she thought about it, the mire the bubble of anxiety grow. It expanded to the point it was pressing g against her rib cage, crushing her lungs. It made it hard to breath. It would be nearly impossible to miss the look of panic in her wide violet eyes. Though her breathing was quiet, her chest rose up and down much too rapidly to be calm. Her slender arms were wound tightly around her stomach as if she were trying to hold herself together.
Dani had reached her breaking point. Between the general loud crowdedness of the beach, all the noisy commotion, Jentel's absence, and the idea that she might have offended him and lost whatever friendship they had... it was all too much. Amethyst orbs once again laid sight at the gentle waves in the distance. Filled with a deep longing, she didn't hesitate at that point. Stepping out of line, she found an empty spot on the beach, tossing her towel, bag, scroll, and the left over money in a haphazard pile in the sand before nearly sprinting towards the water. She didn't stop or slow until her toes squished between the damp sand. An overwhelming sense of calm enveloped her as the chilly waves washed over her feet. She stood there for a moment, letting the anxiety that had crippled her just moments ago float away like sea foam. She felt light. Weightless even. More so than she had in a very long time. A soft smile tugged on her lips as she stepped forward, walking until she was wading in waist deep water. Only then did she stop, staring out at the beautiful vast waters before her. Pink locks so long the ends dipped into the ocean, sprawled out and carried on the waves.
For one so timid and closed off on land, Dani was entirely opposite here in the sea. Her fragile and delicate nature, the way in which she carried herself, seemed less frail and more elegant. Feet that were constantly tripping over thamselves were overtaken by a bit of grace. She was an entirely different person, feeling at home within the icy depths. The crystalline surface reflected off her her jewel colored eyes, glimmering on her skin and bringing out its iridescent glow. Whether that be due to her faunus nature or the fact that she grew up surrounded by the ocean was hard to say. She was still for a moment, before diving head first into the waves. She swam with ease, out a few feet farther before resurfacing an a spray of salt water, shaking her head to get the long bubblegum colored strands out of her eyes.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ But, in the end, it is always beautiful.

❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀ Ora would feel Lena's hands on her horns. Lena wasn't understanding. Lena was being selfish. Ora wanted to protect her. Ora wouldn't be able to live with herself if she found out she hurt Lena. She only wanted to hurt those who deserved it. However with the nature of her being a demon, she couldn't help it some times. "Lena, I would kill myself if I ever hurt you. So for both of our sakes, run. You can always come back when I'm me again..."
The emotion was still crashing against her emotional wall, harder and harder still. She knew she wouldn't be able to hold up against it soon. She would stand up suddenly, Lena's hands still near her head. She would shrug her off. "This is for everyone's safety." She would then run towards the side of the pier, and hop the ledge.
