Lt. Sylvite- Making bad choices

Sylvite took the mini lecture as an opportunity to scramble to her feet, not paying attention to the advice. She was pretty sure she could summon her weapons to her again if she needed to, but, like... they were lollipops, they were literally candy, and that was cool, but she was pretty sure her fists were just as good for hurting people.

At the final comment, her mouth slowly curved into a wicked grin that didn't quite reach her eyes. "You want to go home?" She giggled. "Yeah, I wanted to go home, too, when you jerkfaces locked me up and left me to rot, no food, barely water for a week, it was bad... and you know what you guys said? No."

That said, she threw herself at the other girl in a way that mad it extremely clear that she had no combat experience. She was just... running forward, arms out, trying to... push her or something. She had no idea what she was doing, she just knew she was mad. "So, no!"

Elpis

Elpis hit the ground, and rolled, grimacing before looking to the Eternal slowly, wincing before dragging herself to her sleep, scowling and rubbing her arms, suddenly glad that her fuku included leather. Even though it looked scraped up and her upper arms were scraped pretty well as well as sliced. Her face was red - scratched minimum from landing, palms raw from landing, and the super senshi hissed like a kettle, grimacing as she stood, trying to ignore the throbing in her qrms and spit, concerned by the tooth that joined it from landing, and she scowled sharply, looking at Laurelite in irritation.

Oh hell. no. Hell. No.

"Need to figure out bigger for this b***h." Elpis growled. She ached - she wasn't powering a while after this to recover, at least - likely a week - and the senshi snarled low, looking around.

"Need a plan. How do beat s**t out of a whatever b***h is. Mmnnn."

And maybe when she could, she'd arress the blood in her mouth from a missing tooth. For now though... A plan was needed.

Sailor Cybele- Near Ganymede. Trying.

She watched, not feeling like she was able to do much, as Ganymede and Elpis went off to fight the General-Queen, the latter nearly being killed instantly, and even though she was fine for now, Cybele winced and started to breathe in gasps. All the death was starting to get to her, she really just wanted to protect the people she'd been with at this point... and she didn't know if that was going to happen. There had been a plan, but... there wasn't time to neatly gather everyone and sort them by what their magic did, or even to wait for a bit of backup.

"Are we doing this?" she asked Lacrimosa and the blue-haired Super who had called herself Harmonia, the one who Ganymede had been talking to. Apparently they were, Harmonia was already rushing off to... help or something. "We're doing this. We have to do something now. You, too, Lacrimosa, if you can." She nodded at the other senshi and then sprinted forward, yet again, calling out, "Cybele Hunter's Grace!"

It was her basic magic, only good for one person but easier for her to control. A glimmering bow formed in her hands, and as soon as she was close enough, she fired it at Ganymede.

Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Hunter's Grace
A phantom bow forms in Cybele's hands. She shoots the bow at a ally, or straight up in which case it will target herself. When the arrow reaches the target, it splits and they are covered in its strange light. They are suddenly filled with concentration, their senses are sharpened slightly and their speed increases slightly. This state lasts for 30 seconds. It is useful for tracking and makes dodging attacks easier. While physical and mental strength is not increased, a fast attack at high concentration tends to do more damage than a normal one. She can also use the bow to threaten people, though if she does not shoot it after 30 seconds, it fades, using a use of the attack. She can use this attack twice per battle. If she is not targeting herself, she has to actually aim the bow. A knowledgeable enemy could knock it off course quite easily or even intercept it, gaining the benefits.

Sailor Enif

She didn't really know how to throw a punch but it wasn't going to stop her from trying. As Cas used her own attack, she really should have been running considering she had those starseeds, she hoped it would distract him long enough.

"Oh... Horse Feathers!"

Whatever Cassiopeia's attack was supposed to do it didn't seem to work as he lunged for her. Grabbing one of the feathers from her tiara, an ethereal feather came away and she tucked it into her hair as see-through wings grew from her back. She just barely managed to dodge the attack thanks to her power.

And apparently his attention had shifted back to whatever it was that Cas had done which had allowed her a chance to attack in kind. Arm drew back, she charged him to throw a punch at him.

Magic: Reaching as if to pluck a feather from the wings on her tiara, Enif pulls an ethereal feather and places it in the hair of her target. A boost to their agility in the form of very see-through wings at their shoulder blades is given once attached, thus making it easier to dodge attacks. After twenty-five seconds the feather will disappear.

Usable three times per battle.

"I read the book. Katniss volunteered as tribute figuring she'd die, not so that she could leave other people to die." He glanced between Scholomance and Cetisima, to Themiscara and Andronycus, and gripped the code with something between determination and anger.

"Let's make this clear. We're not playing pass the powerful energy signature until we're sure we're not making a sacrifice play. I'm not handing this thing back into the hands of an enemy. ANYONE who has stealth magic needs to be using it to get the wounded out, not volunteer to be the ever so brave son of a b***h who boldly volunteers the life of someone else. If it comes down to it, I will do everything I can to WRECK THIS THING rather than let more people die here. THESE ARE PEOPLE NOT PAWNS."

It was one thing to lay down his own life, but he couldn't in good conscience assume that it was right to lay down other peoples lives. They might lay down their own, but he couldn't do it for them. He wouldn't do it for them, and god dammit, he couldn't make that kind of sacrifice play. He'd rather destroy this thing and risk never powering up again, if that's what it meant.

And speaking of children...

Sabine was following in the wake of the burning bull, the flagging, exhausted creature still trying to breech the line, and he could all to easily see the potential of them being over run.

"Show me your real strength! Get as many out as you can!"

They weren't the negaverse. There was no acceptable loss, and he moved to elbow forward and head toward Sabine to aid her, and those that followed his flagging summon.

Lieutenant Marcasite - With General Xenotime, Orche, Prehnite

She was aware of her general's divided attention and her sharp icy gaze cut across the crowd before landing on a senshi (Myrrha) just in time to get a face full of magic. Coughing and sputtering, Marcasite staggered back, inhaling too sharply and getting an overwhelming whiff of well, everything. When Xenotime was by her side - before she collected Orche and his friend - she got a nose full of the shampoo the purple haired woman used.

Normally it was a comforting smell, reminded her of early mornings with her nose pressed against soft locks, but now - now it was overwhelming. Then - then there was the overwhelming stench of iron and rust. Of blood. She could smell the fresh blood from the wounded, from the dead that her general-queen was leaving behind and to the trails of blood brought forth as the senshi and their knight companions fled their respective areas.

It was almost too much and the woman felt her head spin as she tried to sort the smells, block them out.

Swallowing hard, she forced herself to focus, sharp eyes narrowing as she darted forward and lunged at the senshi with snarl. "How about I make you smell blood."

Sabine, Senshi of Tactics

Things felt like they were falling apart. The already thin, taunt thread that was holding Sabine together was beginning to fray, and quickly. She'd managed, by no small amount of luck, to stay close to Phact and Sidouer. She wasn't sure where the others were - she hoped Kastra was still behind them. In the chaos of it all - as the youma had descended and people got cut off, she'd lost sight of them. She hoped Myrrha was okay - if not close by.

Sabine had one goal. Get to the flaming bull and try to break through the line. She tried to keep as close to Phact as possible while doing so. If she was going to get trapped, at least she'd get trapped with her. Biting her bottom lip, she almost cried out in relief as she saw Kairatos come barreling toward them.

"Kairatos!" She called, removing a hand from the bucket long enough to wave him over to them. If anything, the extra muscle could be helpful in pushing the line - trying to make a path. They needed a wedge but they didn't have one. Everything was in chaos - they were fighting an organized enemy and they were in complete disarray.

No wonder they were failing...

Her stomach turned, and she just had to hope that everyone made it out alive...

Corinth, Page of Neptune

Corinth nodded at Dallol as they began to encounter the youma that had descended from above, quickly moving to place his back to hers - right against it- so that neither of them would be attacked from behind. He swung his drum, left and right. Trying to ward off and knock youma that came at him aside.

"You know, I think we need a break when this is over..." He said quietly as they fought, hoping they could find some break in the fighting to make their way to the portal - which he doubted would be open for much longer.

"How about I take you somewhere special when this is all said and done, huh?"

Sailor Remus, Senshi of Regolith...being...Remus....

He finished tying off the fabric around the knight's arm and gave it a look of satisfaction, relatively pleased with himself for being so very obviously helpful.

"You're welcome," said Remus, and was about to turn away - were it not for the rest of what the knight was saying. Remus stopped mid motion, his foot still in position to continue on his way, and then he slowly pivoted back to look at him, a grin on his face.

"Aha!" he crowed delightedly. "Finally! Someone else who speaks my language! My name's Remus!"

He slapped the man's arm - hopefully his non injured one, though Remus wasn't actually paying attention to which one it was - in a celebratory sort of way that was full of some sort of soldierly camaraderie. Then he turned back to Duhr and Inari.

"We should probably get out of her or some s**t," he said brightly, and then caught sight of the General Queen behind them. "Wait, except we can't really leave, can we? I mean, we're kinda like, surrounded and all that, there's s**t everywhere."

She was coming closer, her scythe swinging. Remus darted forward and thrust out a hand.

"Walk the Moon!" he yelled, because an attempt was still an attempt, if nothing else.

Walk the Moon: Remus holds a handful of regolith in his hand and blows it towards his opponent. The regolith acts like a paralyzing agent, but not entirely, slowing them down and making them feel as though they're walking through too many layers. This effect lasts for 20 seconds, and can only be used once per battle. It lasts even less with higher powers than his.

Centisima, Senshi of Centipedes

"Thanks man, great ******** chat," Centisima said after Kairatos had given his ‘rousing’ little speech. It was plainly clear that Kairatos was not going to give up the Code and it wasn’t any skin of Centisima’s back. He’d tried to offer his assistance and that was that. He wasn’t going to bend over backwards to try change his mind and the bull-headed Knight was already marching off anyway.

He would have argued that everyone who was here right now, everyone who had come through that portal, had done so on their own free will. Caedus had not pretended there was rainbows and fairies on the other side. There was the Negaverse and with it potential death. Even the children had come through knowing that. So why then should everyone else be saddled with the burden of trying to protect them all?

But he didn’t get a chance to let those words out, instead he just gave Scholomance a wry grin and said, "I’ve changed my mind. Use your magic on me and I’ll carry you out of here. If anyone else wants to join us, fine. I’m not being made responsible for the well-being of everyone else here." If it was Sedna, he’d save her life without a second thought but he didn’t know anyone else. They’d marched in just as he had and he wasn’t going to cry about it if they didn't make it out.

General Benitoite, with his little group fighting.

Moving through the crowd he kicked a super senshi to the ground, stomped down on their mid-section, while he grabbed their friend, a basic senshi, who was trying to protect them, and snapped their neck with ease. All he had to do was banish his weapon first. Once he dropped the body his weapon was back in his hand and the super senshi under his foot found their end at the tip of his weapon.

The blood which spattered his uniform was paid no mind to, nor was the blood that tainted the blade of his weapon. He had no problem spilling blood, never would, as he moved through the crowd his attention went back to the Lieutenant and corrupted senshi in his care. Noting the Lieutenant busy with a hand to hand encounter with a senshi. He had to applaud the man for seeing to it the senshi couldn’t use their magic, though later he would inform him that some used their magic by touching the target. He’d encountered it before and so he needed to be careful, but as a general whole it was a good approach. At the moment though he was busy as he stepped over a body on the ground, paying it no mind, as he continued on. Katya still about his shoulders and clinging to him, he would care anyone to try and harm the cat, or him, they would themselves either dead fast or in a battle they’d not like the outcome of.

He had been working for the General Queen, on a mission, and it had not panned out how he’d thought it would nor how it was intended to – as the last few weeks had shown. He would speak with her later. Right now however was time to show those he had built bridges with just what he could do, because apparently no real bridge building had happened. Let them see this side to him, let one of them come in front of him and try and fight him. He would give no mercy.

Corrupted Valeria, with Benitoite and Katya. Free for interactions.

Following right behind the General, and slightly to the side, she wanted to keep safe and provide magical back up should he need it. She had a skill, she had magic, and it could be useful to him in this battle.

While taking a step forward she was brought up short with a sharp yank to her skull. The source was soon figured out as she turned around and spied a senshi stepping on her long hair. Some basic senshi, like herself, and they seemed unaware of what they were walking on, their feet no longer on her hair. Turning fully to them, now that she could, she kicked at them and in a sudden, adrenaline fueled action, brought the senshi to the ground. She wasn’t like this, she’d be horrified later, but this was a battle and she was on edge, filled with rushing, roaring, adrenaline and she needed to prove herself she needed…she needed to do what was expected of her. She had no choice, no matter what someone else might say.

On top of the senshi she’d knocked down the senshi of brains sunk her hand into the girls chest and made a grab for the starseed she knew would be there. She knew what she was doing, in the back of her mind, but that wasn’t at the forefront of her mind as the senshi she was perched on top of tried to claw at her face, tried to get to use their magic on her. No! She had to fight and she had to do this, she had to go home. With that thought her hand pulled out of their chest with the starseed clutched between her fingers, Standing back up, slowly, she held it with shaking fingers unsure of what to do now that she had it. Did she give it to the General? A youma? Crush it? She wasn’t sure and instead decided to slip it down the front of her uniforms bodice.

General Tweedledeeite - Paging Tweedledumite

One minute he was enjoying the madness (his own, obviously, as well as the complete chaos that had been the battle inside the castle. The next General Queen Apatite had let loose a banshee wail so intense that the screen of his ipod had shattered.

At first he couldn't tell if it was broken so badly that he couldn't hear the music anymore or if his hearing had gone as well. Through the cracked glass he could still make out his playlist; it now lingered on the Sound of Silence which he would have found ironically fitting had he been able to hear it. The senshi were fleeing. They'd won?

No. They were just taking the battle to another board; switching from Checkers to Chess.

Dee stepped forward and then stumbled, pausing to glance down at the spots of blood blossoming across his chest. "What?" He brought his hand up, plucking one of the scales that had been flung from the General Queen out with a hiss. It fell to the ground and he continued forward, leaning on his horseman's pick for support.

He had made it out of the castle and onto the battlefield before he swayed again. The blossoms had broken into full bloom and he was starting to feel woozy, head spinning, legs almost refusing to support the mass that was his rotund body. He fumbled for his communication crystal, sending a message out to his sibling.

"Dum? Did you feed the cat or was it my turn? Everything is wrong. Nothing feels right. Dennis, I don't remember if we fed the cat before we left tonight. Den? I've been hit -- "

There were other things that he had meant to say but he dropped the crystal before he could, following it down to the ground. He fumbled for it, stubby fingers patting around so that he could finish whatever he was going to say, wondering if he'd even be able to hear Dee if he responded.

This was not the way that General Tweedledeeite had expected to go. In the service of the Negaverse, sure? But like this? Not at all.

Mauvian Sailor Ash - With Aegir, Thyrmr and Mont Blonc

Getting out of the castle had not been an easy tasked and more than ever, Ash felt every inch the tech specialist being crammed into the warrior role she wasn't used to. Another firing of her gun left her without offensive magic, so with twirl of her gun around her finger, she banished it to subspace where it would be safe. It would be a pain to have to find another bit of rock with the power to take this form.

The Mauvian stuck close to her team as they emerged into the battlefield the courtyard had become, her green eyes wide behind her visor.

"Should we head closer to the group?" She gasped out, dancing from one foot to the other. "Or should we stick to the fringes and try to work around the righting? It could be safer with more numbers, but that's where the fighting is concentrated... we might slip by unnoticed, or we might get over run trying to stick it out alone..."

Battle tactics were so not her specialty. Hopefully, the team had a better idea of what would work best.

Valhalla of Jupiter

Keeping Laurelite distracted while the others had a chance to get out was the most important thing at the moment. Valhalla had already made his choice to stay and fight, despite whatever happened. He knew Ganymede was the same way. She wouldn’t leave until everyone was out, even if that meant dying there. If they could take out two General Queens, hopefully it would be enough to cripple the Negaverse to the point of needing to work with the senshi and knights. It was a long shot, but he could only hope.

Too many people had already died: senshi, knights, and officers alike. There was too much blood. The air was thick with the stench and the sound of cries of pain, anger, sadness. Valhalla’s heart throbbed painfully. He’d seen death before, but not of this magnitude. This was too much and it made him sick to his stomach. He couldn’t stand to watch more die as they were.

But even as he was preparing to throw himself in the line of Laurelite’s scythe, if only to buy Ganymede and the others some more time, a familiar voice caught his attention, and he immediately stopped, his eyes wide.

Cyllene,” he choked, knowing Ganymede just be feeling the same way about seeing her there. She was going to get hurt. They couldn’t allow that. Even as a corrupted senshi, Cyllene was one of them. She deserved better. Valhalla knew at that moment that he couldn’t fight her, but thankfully it didn’t seem as though she was interested in fighting them, either. At least for the moment.

Laurelite hadn’t bought his bluff, or maybe she didn’t care if he tried to attack her. He wanted to get Cyllene out of there. “Come with us,” he pleaded, knowing how impossible it must seem for her to just leave her home there, but he would still offer it.

Meanwhile, he heard Ganymede calling to Laurelite, and he felt his heart stop. She so wanted to get everyone out, but was so ready to throw her own life away. She had her crystal out, preparing for an attack. Valhalla spared a glance at Cyllene for a moment, before moving to join Ganymede between Laurelite and Cyllene and the rest of those they wanted to protect. If they could hold down the line for a little while longer, maybe that would give the time the others needed to get out.

Valhalla reached out to brush his hand against her elbow for a brief second to let her know he was there, but stayed out of the way for the others trying to help boost Ganymede’s attack. Harmonia and another senshi (Cybele) already showing they were willing to assist. He nodded to both of them in thanks. Another super senshi (Elpis) was there to help as well. They needed as many as possible if this was going to work.

Babylon!” he turned to look around for the other knight, worried that he might have been injured. They could really use his extra energy at that moment. Had he known Ganymede would have run off after him, Valhalla would have stayed to help Babylon with the General he’d been fighting.

“You’ve got this,” he said to Ganymede, surprised that his voice was as calm as it was. She might insist that he was powerless to do anything, and that might be true, but he at least wanted to show his support for her as much as he could.

Sessrumnir of Jupiter

Sessrumnir fully intended to walk away as well once the makeshift bandage was in place, and only raised his eyebrows to the senshi’s comment about speaking his language.

And then the little ******** decided to punch him where he just helped bandage him.

If Sessrumnir had any less restraint, he would have punched the kid right in the back of his head, but instead called his weapon from subspace as he tried to ignore the color that drained from his face at the sudden pain.

“Charmed,” he hissed facetiously, still smarting from the slap to his arm; however, Remus and the other senshi (Duhr) had the right idea in trying to attack the General Queen. Sessrumnir hoisted his weapon up to balance on the palm of his hand, looking through the glass to try and capture all of Laurelite’s image.

“Mine’s Sessrumnir,” he grudgingly said, focusing on the image inside the glass. He didn’t have much time left, after using his summon’s magic, but hopefully it would be enough.

The Space Cauldron

Sessrumir’s Magic: Once caught 'inside' the storm glass, accomplished by Sessrumnir looking through the glass, the captive’s hearing and vision are affected by storm-like conditions, and other senses are taken over. The person caught inside the glass not only sees and hears a storm around them, but can feel the wind rushing by and rain pouring down on them, even if it's not really there in reality, but only inside the glass. After Sessrumnir focuses on his attack, he can choose to cause a flash of lightning and crash of thunder to happen over the head of whoever is being affected by the attack.

It all happens inside their head, so people around them will have no idea what's going on, save for Sessrumnir and anyone close enough to see the glass with the storm raging inside.
