Orpheus is a cache orphan and, like all of the other cache orphans, has no idea who his parents are. This is a bit upsetting- most of his dormmates have families and even siblings that attend the academy, which is something he'd like for himself. He tends to form quick bonds with anyone older than him that's kind, which usually ends in small heartbreak when he figures out they were just being nice that one time and aren't really interested in adopting him as their little sibling......
One thing he wants most in the world is to have a family like his classmates. He knows that the Academy is kind of like one big family for all of the cache kids, but it doesn't really feel that way for him. After all, if he had an actual family he'd have a parent he could reliably go to, rather than having several different caretakers that don't always know what's going on.
Despite that, he is usually fairly cheerful. Orpheus enjoys reading and writing, and sometimes wonders if maybe he should've gone into Eldritch instead of Arkham... though the creativity of his house is very nice in his mind.

Orpheus has a rather wild imagination- he's always thinking up little stories in his head. This actually helps him with problem solving since he can imagine several different outcomes to one problem, which helps him figure out the proper solution.┅┅Caring
Orpheus is there for you, bro. If you are his friend, he will provide a shoulder to cry on whenever you need it- and often checks in just to see how you're doing!┅┅Flexible
Orpheus is very open to going with the flow- changed plans are Not a Big Deal for him and he's happy to accommodate others as much as he can.┅┅┅┅Weaknesses┅┅Dependent
On the downside, Orpheus is so desperate for a closer connection to someone - anyone - that he quickly grows attached to people that show even a moderate amount of kindness to him more than like... once. Especially older people.┅┅Doormat
There's such a thing as too flexible, and Orpheus suffers from it frequently. While being willing to change plans last minute is often a good thing, it usually means Orpheus gets cast to the side or makes it seem like he doesn't care about what was going to happen before plans changed. He has a very hard time speaking up about schedule shifts even when they are detrimental to him.┅┅Envious
Orpheus has a deep seated issue with envy-- mostly, the envy of other people's lives. Of knowing who they're related to- of having access to their family histories... Sometimes it rears its head in the form of the silent treatment or self-isolation, but on occasion he may just get Extremely Rude to people that mention knowing generations' worth of history about their families.

Ambroze is silent- mostly because of those stitches in his mouth... They don't need to be there, and honestly they're only magicked on, but he likes them and it keeps him from having to talk very much. He doesn't dislike people, he just isn't interested in them most of the time, despite owning an apothecary shop...
Mostly he owns it due to his own deep interest in magic and its many uses. He's an experimenter, always trying out new things to see what they do. This usually ends up badly, but he doesn't really care. He's only recently got more careful about it after adopting a young Hallowed Naiad, Halcyon.
His relationship with Halcyon is strange.... Ambroze doesn't dislike children, but he hadn't really thought of having them. He adopted Halcyon partially on a whim, and partially as a solution for what others might call a small problem. Ambroze's rot causes him to move extremely slowly- he's incredibly steady but goodness it takes him ages to move. Halcyon wanted a teacher- someone to show him how magic worked... and well, the walk to the orphanage was just too long for Ambroze to be able to do in a timely manner.
Clearly the best option was to adopt. Clearly. He sees Halcyon as a sort of apprentice rather than a son- and is very open about it. Of course, he does provide care as best as he can.

Even if it looks like he isn't really there sometimes, Ambroze watches the world with hawk eyes. He takes in everything he can- often thinking ahead so that he can plan to move accordingly.┅┅Practical
Rather than get caught up in emotional or kneejerk reactions, Ambroze is a very practical eprson that takes his time to think about problems and the best way to solve them- no matter what they may be.┅┅┅┅Weaknesses┅┅Cold
Being so slow gives him plenty of time to think and decide things on his own- which means he's often very disconnected from the world around him. Ambroze can come off as cold and uncaring to those around him that don't realize what's going on in that head of his.┅┅Dismissive
Time is a precious thing for Ambroze, and if he thinks you aren't worth his time, he will cut you off even in the middle of your sentence to tell you so.┅┅Amoral
He does have a moral compass, it's just....... different from other people most of the time. What some might consider wrong, Ambroze wonders why not?

Much like the flowers he cares for, Kaleo has thin skin and doesn't take criticism or harsh words very well most of the time. He is most definitely the sort of person to wear his heart on his sleeve, and gets taken advantage of frequently because of it.
This is very much in opposition to his family. Kaleo moved to Below to try and put some distance between them- as they are all very controlling and manipulative. They think only of their image and care little for other people- Kaleo is a sort of black sheep though it doesn't stop his parents from trying to get him to conform to what they want. As they are power hungry people, they have always tried to use him as a means to get further in the world- a trait more befitting to elves.

Kaleo has the patience of a saint- its very, very hard to make him angry or upset. The most he gets is sad, and even then he doesn't really let people know about that.┅┅Affectionate
He's a little awkward about it, but oh Kaleo is super affectionate. He takes immense happiness in buying little gifts for his friends, holding hands, or just spending time with people quietly.┅┅┅┅Weaknesses┅┅Thin Skinned
Its hard to make him mad, but its not hard to make him cry. At least on the inside. He's long since learned not to show tears outwardly. Kaleo is prone to taking any sort of criticism in the most personal way possible, and often makes things worse by berating himself long after whatever happened is over.┅┅Doormat
He's slowly learning to overcome this tendency, but if you push enough Kaleo will inevitably give up and let you do whatever it is you want to do. Whatever it is. This has gotten him into a lot of bad situations that he's still not okay talking about.┅┅Pessimist
Despite trying his hardest to be positive, Kaleo is at heart a pessimist that has a really hard time seeing things positively. He can picture at least 20 ways something could go wrong, and usually picks the worst outcome to focus on.
