Jay couldn’t see what was going on, but he heard the bumping around and quickly backed up, reaching a hand back as he hit the wall. ”Whoa, hey!” he shouted, ”Whaddin thuh hell’s goin’ on?” Mimey stared with wide eyes as she looked at them, all the pokemon jumbling around. The Haunter lowered itself a bit, mouth pressed into a thin line of disapproval as it looked at the two pokemon holding its companions down. ”Haaauuuntter….” he sneered, and suddenly a cold wind whipped up and blasted the hallway with a blizzard. Mimey blinked a bit, and then turned towards her trainer. 'I think they know our Froslass, Jay,' she remarked. Jay slouched slighlty. "Ya don' say..." It was taking every bit of his willpower not to be even more sarcastic than that. He was starting to get a bit annoyed and not being able to tell what, exactly, was going on. He could hear the froslass murmuring in response to the haunter's greeting, and listened as Koda moved, likely to go get another pokemon. Although Jay couldn't hear it, that freed the gastly he'd attack, who floated up, shaking itself and moving to float alongside it's next evolution. The gengar, too, floated up, high out of reach, sticking its tongue out at Jade, who glared back. She gnashed her teeth at it, and the Gengar quickly swept around to the haunter's otherside, placing himself alongside the gastly.
"Ah take it these're yer friends, Miss Froslass?" he asked warily, trying to get at least... some information on the situation.

There seemed to be a silent conversation going on there, one that not even Mimey could decipher, and she turned back towards Jay. 'That's fine... Thank you for your generosity,' she replied gently. Golett gave a neutral click-clank of confirmation and Jay smiled. He hadn't actually spent much time with the ghost-ground pokemon. He frowned as he heard Koda pacing around up ahead. He was still trying to listen for Sebastian, but the sound of the flurry's footsteps was a bit... distracting. 'He alright up there, Mimey?' he thought to his pokemon, frowning a bit. The fairy looked over, frowning as she noticed Koda walking from side to side of the hallway, not even up and down, just from one wall to the other, his gaze down and his ears twitching. 'I dunno...' she admitted, 'It seems like he's been acting so strange lately...' Jay pressed his lips together. At least he wasn't the only one noticing it. He heard Golett sweep out and bring down another haunter, a normal one this time, while Jade stayed beside him. Hell, he was almost worried about her, too, now that he thought about it. She wasn't acting nearly as competitive or blood thirsty, despite how angry she'd been, and how eager she had been for training. But maybe she was just biding her time... or maybe Koda's behavior was distracting her, too.

Mimey watched Koda worriedly, while Jay listened, but Jade seemed to lose her interest. She tossed a sarcastic gaze at the ceiling and turned, prowling with her eyes searching the darkness for more spirit. This was her kind of hunting grounds. Dark, quiet... She wished the pink thing didn't have her little glowing lamp, but it was better than the sunlight. Her gaze suddenly lifted when she noticed an eerie blue light cast on the floor, eyes squinting against the glow. Dammit... Exactly what she didn't want. She backed up, only to whip her head around as Golett came flying by, and leaping up, swinging a fist back and then hitting it hard into the source of the light. What appeared to be a chandelier fell to the ground, then quickly disappeared as the flames flickered, and Jade caught a brief glimpse of a pair of eyes before it vanished.

Jade scowled a bit, her head lowering as she watched Golett land on the floor. Okay... Okay that was enough. That thing got its training and now it was her turn. And with the snowball acting like he was possessed, she was pretty sure she wouldn't have much competition. Her head jerked up as she heard the eerie call of a dusknoir, and immediately she took off for it, easily bringing it down with a Bite attack. She glanced back to see Golett still looking around, apparently not bothering to go for any ghost she might have set her sights on, and instead simply play sentinel. Good enough for her; she'd let it get the nearby ones, and she'd hunt down the ones that were further off.

At the echoing call of the ghost pokemon, the flurry lifted his head, turning curiously towards it, his tail swaying behind him. Mimey gazed at him uncertainly, frowning in confusion when she noticed the simply inquisitive look on his face. He didn't look weird, but he was... acting so strange! Koda padded towards them, but stopped suddenly and turned, his ears up and his tail falling still. "Mine!" Jade snapped, racing down the hall when she noticed what he had. Too late, though-- Koda was already pouncing on the Yamask before she could even get close.

Jade skidded to a stop, scowling at Koda. Her fur was on end and her eyes flashed dangerously, but he just looked back at her. Eyes narrowing, she seemed to lift up, standing on her toes as she growled at him, but still he simply looked back at her. Suddenly he dropped down, grinning as he fell into a playful position, but she jerked back as his eyes glowed bright. "ȡǿ ¥ǿµ ώąɲƮ Ʈǿ ρŁą¥?" The voice... no, voices that left Koda as he opened his mouth made Jade jerk back, and she nearly hit the wall before stopping herself. She stared at him with wide eyes, her fur still on end, still looking ready to fight, but her confidence clearly shaken.
It didn't go unnoticed by Mimey, either. In fact, even Jay heard it. Even without the translation, Koda's 'voice' wasn't normal. He jerked forward, turning his head as he tried to catch wind of something more. He was already reaching for Koda's pokeball when the flurry perked up, his eyes normal as he turned and bounded towards a mismagius that had appeared.

Jay put Koda's pokeball away, frowning and remaining silent. Finally, Mimey spoke up. 'Don't worry, Jay. At least he complied. Whatever's going on, I'm sure we'll be able to figure it out. It may be that Koda's just absorbed a lot of spirits. I'm sure we can find a way to help him deal with it,' she tried to offer, looking up at her trainer.

Mimey watched her uncertainly. She closed her eyes, sighing, but then put on a smile, moving forward to tug at Jay's pants leg. "C'mon, Jay, let's go back into the room. I'm sure Sebastian is alright, and you should probably try and get some sleep," she urged. Her trainer just scoffed a bit in response. "Don' think ahm gonna get much sleep, Mahmy... But yeah... alrigh'. Ya mind tryin' ta check on 'em, though?" he asked, shoving a hand into his pocket, "He should jus' be next door."
