tabFortunately for Sylva, it seemed that the Gardevoir had no intention on peeping into anyone's mind, though the slightest cold shoulder was certainly of note. When complimented though, Priscilla was courteous enough to flash the redhead an appreciative smile, giving more of the impression that she was more wary towards her than she was explicitly hostile or dubious. Luca, meanwhile, was busy scratching the back of her head with a small, almost embarrassed chuckle, but more than willing to take the compliment. "I guess so, my only worry is being able to take care of them all properly." Even with her inexperience, even Lucatiel was vaguely aware of just how many pokemon most trainers tended to accumulate over time. "Yeah, that sounds good. It's not really a long story or anything, I just figure it's better left for once we'd had a chance to stop and rest for a while."
When Umbra reached her hand out to the tall Dragonite, the flying-type tilted his head down at her, his snout raising and lowering slightly as he got a good sniff at her, moving only a little closer to her before he reached his own hand out to hold her's, mistaking the gesture for a handshake. "I'm able to provide him with a small level of sight," Priscilla chimed in again, noting in a calm, even tone. "He can make out basic shapes and color, but I can't offer him anything as clear and precise as us without it being too taxing to maintain, currently." The dragon-type let go of the girl's arm as he dropped his own to his side, the other moving to pat her on the head... Though, due to said vivid sight, he didn't quite have the placement down right, and instead patted the empty air just over her shoulder.
About then, it seemed another set of wild pokemon appeared to fight the trainers, and after a brief note from Umbra, Luca turned to face her own challenger. If you could call them that, when Izalith was able to simply charge and tackle the miscellaneous flying-type into a bush, knocking it out instantly, even without the use of being thrown like a projectile. Not that she didn't approve regardless, giving the Bulbasaur a short praise as he returned to them.

”I may not be an expert breeder, but I do know a thing or two about raising pokemon, if you have question I might have an answer… or at the very least be able to help you find one.” It was an offer that was actually rather genuine coming from Umbra, normally she would look down her nose at people who were starting off or whom she saw as weaker than her. But she also understood what it was like to worry about raising your pokemon right and being able to provide for them as well as you hoped. Besides, Luca didn’t seem to warrant any sort of teasing or belittling in order to remind her that she wasn’t the best in the world. She seemed to be comfortable with herself and by extension the way that she raised and looked after her pokemon, regardless of how soon she had gotten them. She couldn’t imagine it was easy raising something like a blind Dragonite. The care and attention that must have been needed would be rather staggering as it would any other pokemon of special needs. It certainly wasn’t for the faint of heart. Umrba’s attention was pulled over to Priscilla as she explained what was going on with Seath and how she was essentially his guide pokemon while they were out of the ball. ”I see, you two must have gotten very close to each other then, if that’s the case.” Umbra could see this as being a symbiotic relationship, Priscilla could provide the brains and the sight where as Seath could provide the strength and protection for them. It may have been an odd dynamic, but it certainly was an impressive mechanism and team work that the pair of them were demonstrating. Umbra watched as Luca once more took out a wild pokemon – and bulbasaur was air-borne free this time too. Umbra turned to her when she got back. ”Two for two, not too shabby for someone who just started their journey and just got their partner. Hey, can I ask you two something? You named each of your starter pokemon, but where did you get those names from? Are they of some sort of relevance to you?”

The Gardevior's typing aside, it appeared the psychic fairy was a kind hearted soul. After all, it did have to be rather taxing on her to keep up her ability to allow the Dragonite sight. Perhaps after she got stronger she could show the Dragonite a whole new world, and it wouldn't be so taxing on herself. Giving Lucatiel a nod to her would be promise to explain the two's stories later on when they were able to rest some. Not long after though, another battle presented it self to Luca, It made Sylva realize she wasn't entirely battling herself either, but... It couldn't be helped since Lerisa wasn't... able to battle. Not wanting Tiffany to be revealed as of yet, there wasn't much Sylva could do?
That was until a distressed cry echoed from the trees. A balloon shaped Pokemon floated out from the treeline, being chased by a Pidgey. The flying bird had a clear advantage over the poor Pokemon it was chasing after. "Oh, look guys!" Sylva pointed out. She'd have to put Umbra's question to the side for now as she... actually wanted to help that poor creature. "Lerisa, I know you don't like battling, but that Pokemon needs you." The Charmander clutched in her arms looked up into the sky, watching as the balloon drifted down towards the ground, the Pidgey in hot pursuit. Likely the balloon had disturbed it's nest, but to go to such lengths to chase the poor balloon wasn't cool. Sylva rushed forward, quickly grabbing hold of a string-like appendage, while simultaneously setting Lerisa down on the ground, unknowingly on an item know as a Heart scale. The Charmander, at first reluctant to battle, felt a sudden urge in her heart... well, the heat sac that rested just above her heart. After a bit of holding back the fire, it suddenly burst out just as the Pidgey flew overhead. The sheer heat that erupted off of Leirsa knocked the bird clean out of the sky.
Seeing it was no longer in danger from the bird, and that this human that now held onto it's string had been the one to save it, the balloon wrapped it's other string like appendage around the same arm that held onto her other string. It seemed to want to pull Sylva away, but despite how much underweight Sylva was... she was still to much for the balloon to carry away. "Are you alright?" Sylva asked, a genuine kindness in her eyes. Something about this ghost made her feel rather protective over it. Giving up on it's attempt to pull Sylva away, the balloon let out a sound like something akin to a sigh. Pulling out her Pokedex, the red-head scanned the Balloon, finding out it's name was actually Drifbloon. "Huh, so you are a balloon." She stated, as if this fact was ever a doubt in her mind. "Why don't you join me? I can protect you from mean pidgey." The balloon for a moment seemed... hesitant, but with a sound like a giggle it did it's version of a nod. "Cool." Pulling out a pokeball from her bag, she tapped it to the heart-shaped ending on it's string, which was enough to register the balloon and pull it in.Turning back towards her 'companions' Sylva held up the ball somewhat triumphantly. "I finally caught one too." She stated. Though, unlike Luca and Umbra.. her capture... wasn't even native to this region.

tabThe wide smile Luca normally kept softened warmly as Umbra offered to help if she could, while the silver-redhead herself was gently running her hand down the blind paledrake's back. "Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I'll take you up on that if I need it." The Gardevoir had a similar response to the girl's comment on her relationship with the Dragonite, the two standing side-by-side making the similarities in their color bolden a bit, or perhaps it was more the difference between the smoothness of Seath's flesh, contrasted with the pillowy fluff that comprised Priscilla's dress. Suddenly, however, the pokemon and their trainer suddenly snapped their heads to the side when Sylva pointed out a wild pokemon suddenly emerging from the woods around them, a purple balloon clearly running from a very aggressive Pidgey. Perhaps instinctively, Luca's body lowered into a crouched position, as if preparing to dash forward, however she stopped her body well short as it began to go through the motions. Her arm didn't reach for her pokeballs or her sword before then, when the redhead immediately ran forward with her Charmander to rescue the ghost-type.
Lucatiel rose up and straightened her back, watching as the other girl set down her pokemon, and the Charmander unexpectedly puffed out a massive wave of flame, surprising the swordswoman a bit as the small bird was blown away out of sight. Scratching her head, the woman simply chuckled wild partial amusement as Sylva seemed to get to checking on the Drifloon, before it agreed to travel with its new savior. "Well then, I guess that's one new friend for you, huh Sylva?" She noted, before having to turn back to Umbra, realizing she hadn't answered the girl's question from just before Sylva spotted the troubled pokemon. "Well, I don't know about her, but for me, I've thought to name my pokemon after the different characters from this one story I've quite liked for a few years now... Though, trying to explain any of it would require all the hallmarks of someone linking together conspiracies." Luca joked, looking off to the side and counting on her fingers as she listed a few things off. "A chalkboard, a metric ton of sticky notes, plenty of photos to print, and the crazy, unkempt hair that comes along with being on Day Three and still in the set up. You'd just have to experience it, really." With a lighthearted smile, shrugging before leading the trio further on towards their destination.

A lot had started to go on at once and Umbra found her attention being torn away in more than a few different directions at once. Luca seemed to be more interested in chatting than the mysterious Sylvia seemed to be. Umbra gathered that the girl was just shy about talking about herself and didn’t seem to want to give too much of herself away at once. Maybe she was just getting a better feel for what the two of them were like to make sure that they really were decent people. Umbra could understand that, she had more than her own fair share of people who she didn’t open up to or trust right away either. When Sylvia captured the ghost pokemon and turn to exclaim her pride, Umbra gave the older girl a thumb up and a confident smirk. She had this down pat like a champ. Umbra was confident that with time Sylvia would make a rather impressive team of her own. She already had a fire type and a ghost type. Not Umbra’s immediate choice of pokemon but to each their own. ”Smooth capture, Sylvia.” Umbra then turned her attention back to Luca as she went back to discussing the naming process. ”That long huh? I guess it explains why you still have some mad scientist hair going on then.” Umbra teased with a smirk and a quirked eyebrow. She was actually rather glad that these two decided to come with her on this journey, it may have been pretty boring otherwise. Umbra paused when she heard more rustling in the bushes. ”Good grief, this place is infested with pokemon, isn`t it?”
Wild encounter: Pidgey appeared.
Umbra looked over at the Squirtle that was perched on her back. ”I think I’m going to let Jolteon have a go, you’ve got a couple of battles under your belt now.” Squirtle nodded and snuggled the side of Umbra’s face and she closed her eye that was closest to the affectionate little turtle. ”Alright, Jolteon, let’s go.” Umbra unleased Jolteon in a flash of red, Jolteon looked at the pidgey with a stoic expression before raising up on all fours and prepared for battle. ”Let’s finish this quick, Jolteon, tackle attack.” Jolteon was a quick Pokemon, being both an electric type and a higher level than pidgey he was able to plow heavily into the pokemon that he was set upon. The pidgey fainted without much resistance.

”Nice going Jolteon.” Umbra returned her spikey yellow pokemon to his little domain and returned it to her belt. Umbra was pleased with how her team was coming along. It was about then that her Xtransciever chimed and she raised her eyebrow before bringing it up to look to see who was calling. ”Umbra-chan~! How are you?” Umbra exhaled heavily. ”Yuuki… I’m fine.” Umbra’s flat tone suggested that she wasn’t as happy to talk to this slightly older looking girl as this girl was to call and talk to Umbra. ”Aww, don’t be such a sour grape! Did you at least get your starter Pokemon? Which one did you choose?” ”None of your business…” Umbra glared at her, her face souring significantly. Her plan of secrecy was immediately shattered when Squirtle pushed her head over slightly to investigate who his human was talking to. Eee~! A Squirtle! That’s a good choice to compliment your Jolteon in battle. You got a good start to your team. I got a good start on my team too. Actually I found a pokemon that reminds me a lot of you!” The image shifted to a male Kirlia prancing, looking just like his female counterpart. ”That’s great, I hope you die in a fire.” Umbra’s obviously didn’t look like she was at all amused by the connection and the teasing that he was getting from his step sister. ”I’m hanging up now.” ”Oh! Don’t be like that! I didn’t mean it that way, I promise. Look, I got a pokemon in a raffle recently but… it’s a psychic type and I already have one of those. So I thought that you might make some use to it, here, I`m sending it over to you now.” A digital image appeared not far from the Xtransciever where Umbra held out her hand to the bottom of image as it materialized into a pokeball and fell into her hand. Umbra stared at the pokeball in her hand with an annoyed look on her face and she still wasn’t sure if this was more mockery from her stepsister. ”Go on, go on! Take a look, I think that you’ll love this pokemon. Trust me, Umbra-chan, this pokemon should help you out on your journey.” Umbra sighed and unleashed the pokemon to take a look. A Jynx popped out, singing its name as it did so. Umbra’s face twitched as she immediately noted that Jynx’s hair was exactly the same as her own. A flurry of giggles came from the girl on the other end of the Xtransciever. ”It’s totally you! I know you’ll be besties in no time. Bye-bye Umbra-chan!!!” The image faded out as an angry red started to raise on Umbra’s face. She said nothing as she closed her communications device and turned to fully face Jynx. Umbra took a deep breath and calmed herself, getting angry and taking it out on the pokemon that she was sent wasn’t going to fix anything, in addition to this, his step sister was right, Jynx would probably make a pretty decent pokemon to have on her team. After closing her eyes for a few moments she looked down at the pokemon who had a bit of a resemblance to her and her face lost the rage that had been building up. ”Well Jynx, it looks like your stuck with me now. I hope you’re ready to work hard. Welcome to the team.” Jynx looked very pleased with this and wrapped her arms around Umbra and gave a crushing hug. Oh good lord, were all her pokemon going to be this affectionate towards her? Maybe she should take insurance out on herself in case some sort of love induced injury occurred. ”Okay-okay, warm fuzzies all around, return for now Jynx.” Umbra’s voice was strained as she fought to breath while in the embrace of her newest pokemon. When Jynx returned to her pokeball Umbra gasped for breath. ”These pokemon are going to be the death of me. Thank god Jolteon doesn’t have that much love for me.”

As she approached the group once more ,she noted Luca's comment on how she choose to name her Pokemon. Sylva's grip tightened around Leirsa.. She herself didn't really have a rhyme or reason to her naming. It really just came up off the top of her head. Though it did raise the question as to why Umbra hadn't given her own Pokemon a nickname. Before Sylva could ask, it appeared Umbra had a phone call. Not wanting to interrupt, she turned away to look at the path ahead. Though there was a point in Umbra's conversation with whomever it was she was speaking to, that Sylva's eyes shifted back towards the two-tone-hair girl's direction. She felt herself stiffen slightly, when she noticed the girl now had a Jynx in her possession. Another psychic-type. Sheesh what was it with psychic-types? Just then, from his ball, the Drifloon she'd captured earlier popped itself out, quickly tying both it's tendrils around small bits of Sylva's long orange hair. "Oh hey, Shane." She spoke. Glad to had a distraction pull her from Umbra and her newfound Jynx. The ghost didn't reply, but it did shift it's body so it's eyes were looking down at Sylva, a smile seemingly hidden in it's beady gaze.Turning back towards Umbra and Luca as the red-head rose her camera up to take a picture of her new and litteral tag along, she released a question towards Umbra. "What about you, Umbra? Why haven't I heard you call your Pokemon any nicknames? Besides, Blue earlier." It wasn't uncommon that trainers didn't nickname their Pokemon. While some said it made the bond closer, that wasn't always the case. Sylva just liked the idea of giving them a random name, though she hadn't realized it yet, but she'd already started a rather.... troublesome pattern with her own nicknaming.

tabSoon after Luca answered and Sylva made her way back to the group, it seemed that the girl with the multi-colored hair(Or one of them, at least) had yet another opponent to face, defeating yet another Pidgey that came forward to attack. However, it seemed that Umbra had herself a call to attend to, the silver-redhead resisting the urge to look over and see who it was. That self control however quickly wavered as the voice rang out from over the X-Transceiver, the woman snapping her hand over her mouth as she failed to hold back an immediate giggle. She listened to the exchange further before ultimately leaning her head over the smaller girl's shoulder, interested to see who this "Yuuki" was, and to potentially have more opportunities to tease the girl who was with her. The cat-like grin decorated her face as she had to take another step back to give Umbra room to release her new addition, and to once again hold back her laughter as the "similar-looking pokemon" turned out to be a Jinx.
At that point, however, it seemed, the call was at its end, leaving the youngest of the trio with a new partner, which promptly took to bear hugging its trainer affectionately. Luca contained her snickering, but only just long enough to tease. "So... 'Umbra-chan', huh? Sounds like you've got a pretty close friend there." The swordswoman took a few more steps back as the words escaped her lips, as if giving herself some room in case Umbra... Took exception to the tease, but before things could properly go anywhere she turned her attention to both of her travel companions, her grin only mostly faded. "Alright you two, what's say we stick to the road and head straight to the next town? I don't think this route has too much left to go before we reach Vermillion."

Umbra was walking alone at a leasurely pace and looking for some wild pokemon to battle with when Sylvia suddenly spoke up and turned Umbra’s previous question around on her. Umbra gave something of a defeated sigh and slumped over a little bit. ”Well, to be totally honest I really suck at remembering names. I’m worried that I’m going to mix up my pokemon and what not if I end up giving them similar names. That and I totally suck at giving nicknames and stuff that like. I think that the name that the pokemon has is good enough for me, it helps me keep organized and on top of things.” Yeah, Umbra wasn’t the best when it came to thinking up names for others as they were either ridiculous or hardly fitting at all. It was safer all around if she didn’t play that sort of game with her pokemon and just kept the names on a more professional level than a personal one. Umbra lifted herself up and continued her walk, eventually getting a call from her Step-sister, much to Luca’s delight, apparently. A pokemon was given and the call ended abruptly while Umbra looking far from impressed about the whole situation. Luca seemed to be rather amused with the humiliating prefix that she was given when she inherited this body. Umbra closed her eyes and crossed her arms slightly under her chest, her face had yet to gain any sunniness or warmth to it sense the conversation ended. ”No… no, I really can’t say we’re all that close. She’s one of my step sisters and she uses that term in a very condescending and mean spirited way. It certainly isn’t something that is light hearted fun on my end and it royally pisses me off when my step siblings address me like that. So please, don’t call me that…” Hopefully Luca would understand, it was a bit of a sore spot of very hurt, wounded pride that Umbra suffered through, and having it rubbed in her face wasn’t something that she enjoyed. Not that these girls would know what she had gone through or would know what happened to her. She really wasn’t all that sure that she wanted to tell them either. She got enough taunting and teasing from her step family about it… she really didn’t need people she was traveling with for god-knows-how-long to get in on the painful teasing and barbs too. Umbra eventually opened her eyes again and quirked an eyebrow at Luca when she mentioned where they were going next. ”Um… we’re going to Viridian city next, Luca. Maybe you’d better let us take over the navigation if you’re this prone to getting mixed up and lost.

Listening to Umbra's explanation on why she didn't nickname any of her Pokemon, Sylva gave a nod here and there. "Understandable." She replied when the girl was done. "I don't really have a rhyme or reason to my nicknames, but I got a pretty good memory. Some say I have the memory of a Donphan." Raising a hand up she tapped her knuckles to her head before lowering her grip back down on Leirsa. Turning her gaze over to Luca, the red and white-haired girl seemed ready to move on. They had been taking their time hadn't they? Looking up, Sylva caught the sun in her gaze. It was low, changing the sky to orange with purples and blues as it set for the night. Chuckling at Umbra's response, the red-head brought her gaze back down to the two girls. "Hey, they sound pretty similar. I bet people get them mixed up all the t-- AHH!" Back she fell, and before she knew it, the red-head was on her butt, wincing at the sharp pain that ran up her spine. Having dropped Leirsa, the Charmander was also recovering when Sylva leaned forward, a hand reaching back towards her back. 'This is what I get for walking backwards.'"Ouch..." She breathed out, looking up to find what it was she'd tripped on. Sylva was far from clumsy, her days in pageantry's were thanks to that. What she saw was a particularly large rock, on it, two holes and an upside-down 'Y' Whatever it was, it looked pretty neat. Reaching forward, the red-head took the stone in her hand and held it close up. "How'd a huge rock like this get in the middle of the road?" She narrowed her eyes, scrunching up her nose some at the stone. Besides the design on it's front.. it didn't look to interesting.

tabLucatiel nodded understandingly as Umbra explained her lack of nicknames for her pokemon, Sylva noting how she lacked any particular reason for her names, but what she did have was a good memory. The silver-redhead laughed quetly at the gesture that soon followed, before finally proposing that they head straight for their next destination--Vermillion... Or rather, Viridian, as Umbra was quick to point out, Luca's lips pursing and her gaze turning aside, a hand scratching the back of her head in embarrassment. "Hey, cut me some slack, this is my first time in Kanto. I haven't memorized all the names, and some are pretty similar." The other redhead was quick to come to her defense, noting as well how similar the two names were and how people likely mixed them up often. However, the conversation was rather undercut when the girl suddenly walked into something, her leg tripping over something as she fell backward. Luca rushed to try and catch her when she realized it was happening, but having to return her gaze to catch the sight in time caused a delay, and she wasn't able to move catch Sylva until it was too late to stop her from falling victim to gravity.
At that point, all she could do was sympathetically extend a hand, out to the fellow redhead, as Sylva inspected the large stone that'd tripped her up to begin with. "You alright? Sorry, I should've been quicker to catch you." Luca's eyes also happened to be drawn to the large keystone she knew nothing of, intrigued by its design but with no other notable features, there simply wasn't much for her to look at. She couldn't really explain why it'd been lying half-buried in the road either, but she didn't particularly prioritize the answer over her new friend.

Umbra winced as Sylvia found her way to the ground via her bottom, gosh that looked really painful. Umbra took a few steps forwards to help her new acquaintance up from the ground but it appeared that Luca already had that covered. Umbra sat quietly while the girls conversed and Sylvia picked up a strange stone that she had tripped over. Umbra’s eyes narrowed a bit at the stone but whatever thought she had about such a thought was quickly pushed away. She was convinced that there was nothing more to that stone other than a coincidence pattern on it. There was no way that something like that would be all the way out here, and in addition to that someone would have either had to drop it in the first place and likely someone would have probably found it by now. The stone looked like it had been there for quite a while too. Umbra shifted her shoulders to get comfortable from her Squirtle resting on her shoulders, the blue little Pokemon seemed to be quite interested in what was going on around it, especially with all of the pokemon that were out and about. It was hard to tell if Squirtle was just interested in another battle or if he was more than a little amused with the other starters and their trainers.

Accepting Luca's help back to her feet, the red-head grimaced some at the pain in her rear end. She'd fallen pretty hard, and fast. "It's alright, I'm fine." She retorted, feeling her cheeks warm with an embarrassed expression. Whatever the case, the red-head held up the stone once more, quirking a brow once more at it's unique pattern. "Looks pretty neat though. I think I'll keep it." She grinned. Quickly putting the stone into her bag, she leaned forward and snatched up Leirsa from the ground. "You mind if we head to Viridian now? I need make sure I'm not bruised or something." Sylva asked, giving a slight smile towards the girls. Seeing as they'd all seen all that this route had to offer Pokemon wise, it might be a good idea to move ahead regardless. Turning on her heel, she took a moment to prepare herself before she started walking at a quicker pace. The city in question wasn't to far off, as evident to the sight of tall buildings that rose up higher than the trees. She really wanted to sit down and maybe tap into the free wifi at the Pokemon Center to do some research on that stone.

Azalea strolled out of the lab, admiring the pokeball in her hand. A few minutes from now and the staff among the lab would start to wake up again, so she probably needed to get out of the area. She quickly made her way towards route one, finding some coverage at least by being out of direct sight of the lab. Once she had put a decent amount of distance between herself and Pallet Town, she slowed, noting the small group she had seen entering the lab earlier, somewhat surprised that they were all still here. Not that it mattered. "Rafflesia." Azalea tossed the pokeball in the air, releasing her new bulbasaur. "That's your name." She insisted in a way that suggested the topic wasn't up for debate. Not that the bulbasaur seemed to mind its new name, or even really care what she was called for that matter. Rafflesia simply yawned, looking around. It had been a while since she'd been let outside. Azalea knelt down to her new teammate, inspecting the bulb on her back. She was still young and untrained, not yet able to produce any spores, which was disappointing but not unexpected. "You need training...." She murmured, eyeing the group of trainers again. Maybe they would be of some use after all.
Picking Rafflesia up in her arms, Azalea walked over to the group. One of them had tripped over some stone that she was now inspecting before suggesting they move on to Viridian City. Azalea picked up her pace to outmaneuver Sylva's quicker one, moving to intercept her before she got too far. Staring expectantly at the redhead, she set Rafflesia down as Lavender caught up to her side. "Battle me first." She demanded. She hoped this girl would make the smart choice and comply, things would be easier that way, and Azalea didn't feel like fighting for a battle. Then again there were two other perfectly capable trainers with this one. Maybe if she refused, Azalea could knock her out and inspire one of the other two to fight her out of vengeance. Wouldn't that be exciting?

Viridian city was just within sight, but before the Red-head could get a decent lead, she was abruptly stopped, tightening her grip on Leirsa as the girl demanded a battle. "U-uh.." The red-head muttered. This girl.... she had a sort of... punkish look to her. Sylva had dealt with people dressed just like her before, but something about this girl said she wasn't your normal street thug. "Sure, whatever." Sylva replied finally, looking down to see she'd sent down a Bulbasaur. Of course, her first instinct was to use Leirsa, given she had the advantage, but the red-head could feel Leirsa's anxiety in her arms. The little lizard wasn't ready for battle just yet. Nonetheless, she had to set Leirsa down. The Charmander quickly rushed behind her leg and tugged tightly on her baggy pants, held up by a super tight belt. "Uhh, Shane, you're up." Grabbing a ball she'd placed on the side of her hoodie, specially (Done herself) to carry up to six Pokeballs.
After the ghost emerged, it floated mid-air, bobbing up and down. A gust of wind wouldn't be helpful right now, given the ghost before her seemed to be having trouble keeping itself from floating away. Sylva really wasn't to sure about Shane's capabilities, but whatever. "Use Astonish, you have that right?" Wasn't that like the standard in ghost-type moves? Seemed Sylva was right, as Shane started to wiggle his little tendrils and suddenly moved forward, creating a scary looking face with a purple hue to try and startle the Bulbasaur.
It seemed to work, as the Bulbasaur didn't immediately react. "Alright, use Astonish again!" Likely the same trick wouldn't work twice, but that didn't seem to be an issue, giving after Shane's second attack, there didn't appear to be any more fight in the Bulbasaur's body.

Azalea continued to stare at the girl before her as she hesitated to answer her demand right away, her arms tightening around the charmander in her arms before eventually agreeing. Azalea was aware that she came off blunt to people, but her focus was on the battle, not having a conversation. First Sylva sent out a driftloon, who managed to astonish and knock out Rafflesia handily given that the bulbasaur flinched. Azalea tilted her head to one side. That weak? That was really disappointing. All this trouble to get a bulbasaur that couldn't produce an spores, much less hold her own in battle. She returned the fainted bulbasaur and looked to Lavender. "You need training too. Go." Lavender nodded and hovered forward with a wide grin, tongue hanging out, before giving the driftloon a big lick across the face.
That was enough to take care of the balloon. Azalea couldn't imagine what would have happened had Lavender decided to use foul play instead, but it was even more disappointing now to see that Rafflesia had been taken down by such a weak pokemon. This was going to be more work than Azalea really felt like dealing with. She let out a bored and irritated sigh, glancing away absentmindedly for a moment to the trees around them. "Next." She insisted, her sharp gaze returning to Sylvia. She had already mostly gotten what she wanted. She didn't feel like drawing this battle out any longer than it needed to be, but since she was already here, and Lavender needed training, she may as well use what ever pokemon she had to train Lavender up too. Hunting wild pokemon was too much effort after all.
