He watched Shouyin drive off, before looking to the ground again. He cast a sidelong glance towards Kira, before looking back to where Alex was. Dammit... what am I supposed to do now..Alex seemed to be completely knocked out, he wasn't the least bit surprised. She had been fighting as much as anyone else in her own way... Falling to his rear, he started getting at the latches on his greaves, releasing his right foot. "...My friend has more experience with treating animals... exotic and domestic. I'm sure if you can wait till morning she'd take a look at your injuries." He was staring more at the ground than anything else. World's going insane bit by bit... and here I am bantering with a dragon..."....." He slid his left foot free of his other greave, and stood right back up. He began peeling off the stained and smelling shirt, letting it fall to the ground along with the remants of his jacket. It was all pretty much ruined anyway. Bending back down on the sand, he made a small pit of sorts, getting a decently sized fire going. Hah. Fire on the beach... Moving away from that, and having made sure Alex was sleeping comfortably on the ground, he began making his way towards the ocean, discarding the rest of his clothing along the way. He was pretty sure that seeing him naked would do nothing for the dragon, female or not. Tired...Bare feet plodding along the sand, he could already feel the surf under his toes. So... tired. Sun...He waded into the ocean, going along with the waves, until he was waist deep and soon swimming along. This has got.... to be the longest day...ever.

I can and I shall, Kira mumbled, eyes shut.
She waited until he had entered the water before rising once more, tucking her crumpled wing close. Yawning, she meandered over the top of a dune and promptly curled up in the lee. Fates above, it hurts... she thought to herself.

The fire had long since died down.
The waves lapped away at the shoreline almost lazily, as a lone jogger made her way down the beachline.
Vahn was sitting there, toes digging into the sand and large clam shell in his hands. To go with the 100 other shells piled nearby.
A soft, lazy tune whistled out of his lips as he sat there, raven locks rustling with each movement of his head. His entire body smelled like seawater, considering he actually bathed himself thouroughly in it to wash Dragon innards off.
He'd pulled out a spare change of clothes from his duffel bag; for now just wearing a pair of new jeans, and a leather belt.
He was still waiting for Alex to wake up, and Kira was sound asleep.
He hadn't gotten a call either from Shouyin so he had to assume the rockman was alright.
As of now... he still had to reach Durem.

Having woken with the sunrise, Kira had merely extended her crushed wing to shield her eyes from the light. She leaned against the dune, wincing occasionally as the odd gust of wind either blew sand into her wounds or shifted her wing; she was still in too much pain to want to get up.
I'll be fine, she'd decided to herself. I have suffered worse than this.

Alex was still sleeping.
He wondered just how much mental strain she'd undergone, considering all of yesterday's activities.
He'd long since abadoned the clamshells, most of which had been opened and had their contents either cooked and eaten or their pearls taken out (if they had one).
Yellowed eyes stared down, even as he pulled on the glove firmly. He hadn't worn this particular outfit in a pretty long while... so it was weird.
The fabric was more fire retardent than his casual wear, and flowed a lot better with his body. Clothing could change the direction and impact of blows, so normaly when one was fighting the idea was to wear as less clothing as possible.
With such a body fitting suit like his, it was ideal. The black coat swayed with his movements, even as his greaves stepped over the sand.
He felt like a priest or something.

Kira's muscles finally began to cramp from being balled up for so long; she declined actually getting up, but stretched out her neck and limbs with a loud groan.
The slices on her back end were clotted with a mixture of congealed blood and sand from spending the night on the beach, while a wide strip of sand clung to the blood still slowly dribbling down her chin.

"You don't look so good."
He smiled softly, the tone of his voice genuine concerned. He'd long since finished getting dressed and readied himself.
He didn't have the heart to nudge Alex awake just yet.
She had to tend to Kira after all... yet he was on a pretty tight schedule.
If worse came to worse, he would have to leave Alex behind and meet up with her later on.

Kira closed her eyes in a kind of rebuttal, then laid her head back on the sand. I am alright, she stated plainly, her pride not willing to let her accept help just yet. Sniffing, she shifted her wing so that it covered most of her injuries.
You look much cleaner today, she smirked, changing the subject. Did you enjoy your bath last night?

"Hah. Of course, sorry for asking."
He lowered his head slightly, running a hand through his hair.
"It was alright. Water was a bit cold for my tastes."
He had his hands stuffed into the pockets of his pants, the ends of his coat fluttering a bit.

I don't doubt it, Kira murmured. She was feeling a bit woozy, but she wasn't sure if it was due to the loss of blood or lack of food. A mixture of a cough and snort escaped from her, and she quickly changed the subject again.
You are leaving, aren't you. It wasn't a question.

((My posts are going to be very sporratic and probably short for the remainder of the night. I have an essay to finish and an entire 10 Minute long speech to research and write before my class tomorrow.))
Alex groaned as she was pulled from the depths of sleep by the chilly beach air and a rumbling stomach. Slowly she sat up looking around at Vahn and the dragon and the beach. For a minute she was utterly confused as to where she was, why she was there, and why she was there with a man and a dragon. It took a bit for her mind to process what had happened the day before and all she remembered about the game.
The game and the petals. A quick glance cast at her bags to assure that they at least were still there, she would check for the bell later. Though, she was sure she could trust the man she knew as Devil not to steal anything from her. Speaking of him, the stone guy from yesterday had said that they had been HoH at Leviathan, she was starting to remember things about Devil, but couldn't quite place what his name was.
"Oi..." Her head still hurt a bit, but nothing compared to yesterday. "What's going on?" The dragon was still there which somewhat surprised Alexiel

"I have to."
He'd stared at the ground long enough, that when he answered her, he glanced up to her and smiled again.
"!"
Hearing alex's voice, he turned his head to the side, and began walking over to her. As he was walking, he noticed the slight vibration that was going off in the sleeve of his coat.
"Nice to have you back with us, sleepy head."
He slipped a hand into his coat, even as he stood over her.
He slid the W.A.P. open and looked over his missed calls, as well as the single text message he'd received.
"Lot's been happening while you rested. We need to get moving as soon as possible... but you need to take a look at our friend here as well."
He thumbed back at Kira, his tone genuinely serious with no sarcasm behind the word 'friend'.

Kira groaned and got to her feet. No, Little One. You both are needed elsewhere. Saving this odd world is far more important than a lonely stranger such as I.
Without much further ado, she started lumbering past them with a slight limp, in the direction of the water.

"Well that won't do... you can't just walk off now... I haven't taken a look at you yet and Devil says I need to..." Alex was of course talking to the dragon. She didn't quite feel right letting the dragon leave when she was partially responsible for the damage done to her. "It shouldn't take long..."

"I am Kira. And if Vahn, son of Fah has decreed that you should tend to my injuries, then so be it," she told the girl, slightly exasperated. She remained standing, but lowered her head to rest her jaw on the sand. "My wing is also injured. If you have any knowledge on how to set bird or bat bones, it would be useful..."
Kira glanced at Vahn, sending him a quiet message: I think I should have eaten you when I had the chance, Little One... but at this rate, you would have given me indigestion.
