Masa looked at Tenshi and said, "I suppose you kill them like you would anything else, keep trying until they fall and don't get up again." She went and got into her canoe and said, "Alright, we've waited long enough. Lets head out and take care of these ghost." She waited on Tenshi to get in before picking up the oar and pushing off the land and into the murky depths.
Masaraku's paddle got stuck in the mud from the very second she pushed off. She battled with the murky swamp to get it back, but only with moderate success in loosening it. When she final got it out the canoe was crooked. What a way to start off. She smiled nervously at the Academy student in the boat with her as she continued to push them out further. Batsu got Masaraku's order and deep down aside, he groaned. He knew rowing a boat was gonna take some strength... strength he didn't have. He turned and looked at Seiko as he stood up with hesitation. "Well, we have our orders. Let's get this over with. Maybe we can beat the others across the swamp." Fat chance considering how weak he was, but he really didn't have a choice. He got in the boat and waited just as good for his partner before he pushed off and pulled the oar above the water, waiting for Seiko to stroke the water before going again. All the while, the boy was looking around. This sense of feeling an additional force was all around him. He couldn't do anything but look over at Masaraku with a puzzled expression. He hoped to get her attention so he could try and communicate with her without startling the other for and causing some sort of paranoia. Keon guessed that the previous episode was all in his head. He jumped in his canoe after Murasaku had and waited for his partner to enter before paddling. He was able to get a nice strong stroke in, even through the murky water. He was driven by the promise of a fight with the undead. How amazing would it be to have the title of undead killer, or something to that effect. Needless to say the kid was excited and eager for the next battle

Tenshi hopped in the canoe following Masaraku. He almost fell into the murky water when they took off, since he wasn't situated in his seat yet. Luckily the canoe didn't tip over as he caught his balance. "Hehe... sorry..." He placed his oar in the water and pushed the canoe forward... well since her oar got stuck it began turning left. Hopefully they wouldn't collide with any of the others at the rate they were going. He would have assumed the woman who had killed the boars almost single-handedly, would have no problems using an oar, however, with her oar being crooked right from the start he could tell it would be a problem.
He was kind of worried that she didn't even have a plan to kill the ghosts. First off he didn't have weapon and would need to simply dodge the weapons and pray that he wouldn't get hit. The only offensive thing he knew was his Gamibuyou no Fubuki. This is going to be a long night... Thankfully though the Hoshigaki wasn't as fierce as he had feared. Would a constant blood-thirsty shark give a nervous smile?

Masa's oar got stuck in the mud again, steering them directly towards Batsu's boat. Why did she have to suck so bad in front of the new guy. She was supposed to be wowing him with her skill. She attempted to justify her poor performance. "Heh heh, sorry about this, the mud is really thick here, its kind of hard to push out ...."

Shinzu joined Keon, after rather rudely ignoring the boy for some time, but you see, there was this oh so pretty plant... Anyway he was now in the boat with Keon, and decided that it would be a good time to chat. "So you're Keon nice to meet you." Shinzu said with a friendly and eager smile, as he began to row himself. "What do you want to specialize in?" Shinzu asked, wanting to start somekind of idle conversation. Soon though Shinzu's oar got caught in mud.

Keon noticed his partner stuck in the mud and pushed harder to get it free. However all he made them do was turn a bit to the left. Sighing deeply he took his paddle out of the water and sat it on his lap to prevent them from turning all the way around. "Hey Shinzu." He then continued to speak after trying preparing to level them off. "Honestly i just like to fight. I couldn't care less about the village at the moment. I will have show my allegiance to this village so long as they need fighters." Keon knew saying this could put tension between the two however he didn't care much. From previous display Shinzu wouldn't be able to get to their destination without him.

Tenshi smiled at her, "I'm sure it is," he said sarcastically teasing. He put his oar back in the water and hit a mud bar. He could hear the 'flurp' as the air was quickly sucked into it along with his oar. He pulled at it and it wouldn't come loose. He tugged and tugged and it finally let go along with some mud that flung into the boat as he landed on his bottom. Some splotched on his face and clothes. "Hehe... I guess you're right. Great now this stain will never come out. I think I'll have to burn these clothes. First urine, now swamp mud... what's next? Probably ectoplasm!" He could feel an eerie sensation around the area. Was someone watching them? It was like the feeling of being watched from a distance... or worse....

Masaraku's skin was turning a light purple, the Hoshigaki version of blushing as their boat was now completely sideways. She wanted to cry in embarrassment. "I'm so sorry, I've never done this before." Another part of Masa was becoming infuriated at her consecutive failures. She wasn't used to this feeling one bit ...

Tenshi placed the oar back in the water. He pushed the water behind them turning the boat some more. At the rate they were going, they were going to be going in a complete circle. At least he was keeping up his side of the paddling, so then he could be happy with himself. He would have thought the Hoshigaki girl would be the one paddling the success, but that seemed to be far from the case.
He looked back at the now purple Hoshigaki. What a very strange color... He walked over to her and poked the exposed flesh on her arm. The color had went back to it's bluish tint and then back to purple. "Are you sick?" He didn't realize he would make it worse for her, or possibly infuriate her.

[12] Success Masa was finally able to paddle forward ... well not the forward she wanted, but eventually she would get there. Her color began to return to normal when the young boy asked if she was sick. "I'm not sick, why do you ask?" She instantly thought that this was the beginning of an elaborate pick up line and prepared to push this kid overboard if it was.
[3] FAIL But as she put her paddle into the water again it got caught on mud. Sadly the water was going to be to shallow to push him in here, but just wait until she got the would be pervert into the middle of the swamp. Who knows what kinds of creepy things live out there. I guess they would find out when they got there.

((*high-fives the Sage*)) Batsu wasn't really feeling this rowing thing. He knew he was one of, if not THE weakest person here. One thing about it though, he was doing exceptionally. The boy now had both oars and was carrying his team closer to the other side. But as he was rowing, he leaned over and whispered in Masaraku's ear, "They're here already, aren't they?" Just as soon as Batsu whispered that, however, it seemed as though the spirits went elsewhere. It was like they heard him mention them to his team mate. Needless to say that the thought creeped him out an awful lot. As Keon started to paddle again his ore slipped out of his hand and he almost lost it. Luckily the swamp was very mucky and his ore only stuck into the bottom of the water. He pulled it out but didn't close any distance between their boat and the other side.

"You're purple! If you're not sick..." Of course he didn't know much about the Hoshigaki clan. He never really spent much time around them and knew very little. From the way she looked, he was probably treading water... shallow water. His eyes got as big as an orange, "Oh... hehe," his own cheeks got a bright pink, "I get it now. You're blushing. Which means you are either embarrassed or thought of something funny." He placed an oar in the water and attempted a push, but it got stuck in the same shallow mud as Masaraku's.
The eerie feeling returned and it was really starting to bug him. Like something was breathing down his neck. This ghost business must really be serious. I don't think there is going back... The night in the swamp was really beginning to creep him out. He knew it was going to be scary, but he wasn't expecting this much suspense. It was exciting and yet paralyzing...
