Your Customs Thread: Burning Passion of the Italian- Antonio Inferni
Rpc Rank: Student
Combative Talent or Non Combative: Non combative
Talent Name: Sangue del Antenato [Blood of the Ancestor]
Description: Nero Inferni, born Antonio da Vinci, is a decedent of Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci. The genius that Leonardo possessed was passed down to Nero. While he was on Earth it wasn't completely noticeable because he wasn't allowed to use his imagination, but in Rykros his genes were "unlocked". Ever since the first day he entered this realm, he had been allowed to use his imagination for the first time. Nero uses his heightened intelligence in the battlefield more than he uses it in other aspects of his life, though when he gets an idea for something more advanced he will take notes in order to work on it at a later time and draw up his plans. Throughout his life Nero has used his intelligence to create traps and weapons in the heat of battle. They may not be top quality, though they are effective and helpful, and easy to make. These traps and weapons, created in the field, can only be made out of items he has to hand, such as sticks, dirt, any vines or ropes that may be available as well as other items. Such items will be basic and usable only once before they break.

Nero also inherited Da Vinci’s penchant for engineering and architecture. He has been drawing up plans from ideas that have come to him since his arrival in Rykros, however, he has not the time or patience to devote time to the creation of his ideas, as he is a warrior at heart. To this end he requires the aid of a technology expert to bring his idea’s to life. This means, it will take some time between the creation of an idea, and the execution of the plans, giving him a rather large handicap if the machine is important to his plans, or development.

All of his ideas must go through custom approval, at which stage the appropriate people can be sought out in order to make the plans a reality.

Skills: None atm.
Rp Sample:
Nero sat a desk, made of red ceder, in a room barely larger then a closet. The polished finish gleamed in the candle light. He had his eyes closed and his hand was moving relatively fast. There was the sound of a pen on paper, and if you were to look at the table you'd be amazed. In neat stacks were drawings of machines. Some of them, about five, looked older then the rest and were hanging up. They were each something to remind him of Leonardo. One was the Mona Lisa, another was the Vitruvian Man, and the last one was one of his designs for a flying machine. They were crude, because they were drawn from memory.

Antonio Inferni

Antonio, it looks good. I will give you the liberty to change the part about your improvised items only being usable once, as that really is entirely dependent one what you make, and with what materials are on hand.

It should also be noted that to draft up plans of a machine or construct will not require customs approval. Customs approval will only be necessary once any of the blueprints Nero drafts are actually chosen to be created. You should keep a roster of these blueprints in your customs thread though, on the off chance someone breaks into his room/hideout and takes them. At that point, they would be the ones needing to request the customs approval.

Anyway, all in all a very nice change from your first draft. Thanks for helping him Cass!

You talent is approved.

Right, time for my second controversial custom. Take your time. I know that a lot of it probably needs to be changed.

Combative Talent or Non Combative: Can it be both sweatdrop ?...

Description

Within Nix, the opposing essences of void and energy are present, their very presence creating the third force of chaos. With such a volatile balance within the girl, Nix's abilities differed greatly from others, forcing her to forge her own path as she uncovered weaknesses and strengths that most others don't have. This discovery is facilitated by her progress through her talent. While all passive abilities (as in, abilities that are active without her doing anything, this excludes stuff like dismantling skills) are constantly active regardless of her level, Nix is unable to access the non-passive factors of her talent until reaching the proper rank:
    Student- General
Trainee- Energy (ability to observe attacks in preparation for dismantling them with chaos is activated)
    Adept- Void
    Expert- Chaos

  • General
Nix's body is naturally built for speed, her stature somewhat smaller and more fragile than the average body, which is partly due to the chaos that weakens the physical strength of her body from within. Other than the usual class specifications, the volatile array of energy, void, and chaos within Nix also shows physical manifestations that represent just how uncontrollable the combination can be at times. The majority of these physical side-effects prove to be negative but there are some indirect positive consequences.
Strengths: Nix has a +1 base speed stat with a +2 situational modifier whenever she performs an action relying on reflexes (ex: dodging). Additionally, her inability to completely master any particular skill set gives her a wider than average range of fighting styles. She can master up to two hand-to-hand styles and four weapon (including shields, guns, close-range, and long-range) styles. Her inability to use her right eye without negative consequences on her body has also indirectly caused Nix to be able to use energy to sense her surroundings through a combination of minor energy detection, her five senses, and instinct. Without training, all this does is negate Nix lack of depth perception with only one eye. With further training, though, this passive ability expands to do more (explained more in the energy section).
Weaknesses: Most importantly, Nix can have neither a class nor an element; her naturally volatile nature prevents any sort of specialization in the normal methods. On more specific aspects, just as Nix's light body is built for speed, it is definitely not built for strength with a -1 base strength; even the strength/defense bonuses from hand-to-hand styles are halved. Likewise, the girl cannot wield any heavy weaponry or wear any heavy armor; along with heavy armor, she is unable to use any armor that requires special training to use. Additionally, the volatile balance of energy, chaos, and void creates a number of negative side-effects (explained more in the chaos section).

  • Energy
While energy is naturally found in all beings, Nix has an abnormally pure store within her. This pure store of energy allows the girl to perform attacks with her store of energy. However, this energy is simply condensed, allowing her to use less energy for most skills. In fact, Nix actually has less energy than most other people thanks to another attribute.
Strengths: Nix is able to perform up to D-rank energy-only (just energy, nothing holy or negative) skills from any class with the exception of the Mind-Blader class. From the Mind-Blader class, Nix is able to use up to A-rank skills; however, she cannot go past the journeyman rank in terms of the strength of the blades. Additionally, her highly condensed energy allows her to pull off any and all skills with only half of the required energy (when needed, round up). Nix is also able to develop (in other words, this'll be a passive skill I'll create) very basic energy-sensing abilities. She is able to differentiate between, identify, and recognize individuals who are close to her and skills that are used close to her (physically, of course) even if she can't learn any other information. This skill is accurate enough that the girl could fight without her eyes if need be and sense any large disturbances in energy that affect the entirety of the world (this just means that she'll be able to sense some of the major events that happen). As expected, the girl can create and use her own, personal energy-related skills.
Weaknesses: Because her energy is so concentrated, Nix's stamina, which is considerably less than the average, is naturally supported by her energy pool. Speed and strength are both lowered by one (3/5) when Nix has only 20% of her energy left and then are lowered once more by one (2/4) when she has only 10% of her energy left.

  • Void
The void in Nix takes up a part of the space that energy would normally take up in a being. This void has a peculiar relationship with her energy. While causing the energy to condense and become stronger the void also opposes the energy and creates a constant state of chaos with Nix.
Strengths: The void within Nix negates numerous energy-related/mental effects (ex: seduction, having her past/future seen, having her energy detected) and allows her to use void skills. Nix's void-tainted aura also allows her to excel in hiding and sneaking, with the sounds, smells, energy, and anything else she emits being considerably deadened by her aura. Often times, her very presence is so dulled that people fail to notice that she is in a room until they see her directly. To supplement this transparent aura, the girl also has practiced the art of misdirection, making it even harder to notice her. Most of the time, Nix uses her void to passively and automatically hide her energy whenever she is not fighting, using a skill, or attacking in any way. This talent is mainly useful as a maneuver to sneak past an energy sensor. However, it can also be used as an escape method during battle if Nix manages to get over two meters away from the energy sensor (out of their line of sight as well) and stays that far away as she escapes (distance does not matter out of combat). Nix can also hide specific portions of her energy rather than all of it, making it possible to fool people of her rank by only allowing a certain amount of energy to go through. The only weak spot of this ability to hide her presence is when Nix faces a seer at least one rank higher than her. At that level, the seer will be able to see Nix's energy no matter how hard she tries to hide it. Although, the only information they will be able to discover with their Sight even then will only consist of name, bloodline, class, rank, nation of origin, weapons, and abilities of special weapons.
Weaknesses: On the downside, her relation to void gives her a lower total energy than most, about 3/4 of the average amount (when needed, round up). It is also what indirectly causes her lack of strength. With void taking up some of the area that energy is supposed to take up, Nix is forced to have less energy, thus she has a smaller store of energy, lower stamina (explained more in the energy section), and lower strength/defense (explained more in the general section). Battle-oriented void skills are also limited to C-rank and above due to the amount of skill needed to pull them off. This limitation excludes the more support-oriented skills(ex: increasing the muffling effect Nix's void- affected aura naturally has).

  • Chaos
Chaos is the product of the interaction of void and energy, two opposites. Nonsensical at it's most logical, uncontrollable when it's most tame, chaos is indefinable. At most, it can only mess things up, a randomizer, but because that is it's only skill, it can do so much more. Most people are unused to chaos within their body--whereas Nix has always lived with chaos within her body--and so when it is introduced they are unable to fight back, leading to something or other happening. Even when resistance is built, it is only temporary.
Strengths: Chaos causes disruption and as anyone who fights seriously knows, the slightest disruption can change the entire course of a battle. The most basic disruption stops skills by scattering the energy (or in rare cases, void) put into it. By throwing the other energy out of whack, the non-physical portion of any skill dissipates into a useless mass of chaos and leaves only the physical movement of the skill to do any damage (ex: a stream of fire will dissipate, a weapon consisting only of energy will no longer exist, a lightning-boosted attack will become a simple attack, a rock that had been controlled with some skill will continue with whatever force it had a moment ago but will cease to be controlled). There are two ways to accomplish this disruption. The first is to use chaos with an equal amount of energy as the opponent used, in which case the sheer power of the chaos will disperse the energy of the attack. The second, more complicated, is to know the energy make-up of the skill, its "program", and how to dismantle it, a task that requires some basic observation, and then manipulate chaos into the weak points. To accomplish the first step Nix must either see/sense the skill she wishes to dismantle at least four times or (in the case of long-lasting skills such as barriers and skills that require charging) analyze the skill for at least three whole posts. The knowledge taken from these observations are kept as part of Nix's memory as if they were skills themselves and so she can dismantle skills she had seen in past battles. Then to accomplish the second step, actually dismantling the energy, Nix needs to use some of her own energy. This amount changes based on the rank of the skill: E/D cost 10% of the original amount, C/B cost 25% of the original amount, A+ cost 50% of the original amount. In addition to this basic ability, Nix is also able to learn any other chaos skills and is passively immune to any chaos skills used against her.
Weaknesses: While Nix's body is used to the chaos, that doesn't mean that she remains unscathed by its presence. The human body, is not meant to house chaos. Because Nix's body does hold this volatile mess, she is affected negatively in several ways. The most seen and already mentioned is her inability to use her right eye. Although it can see perfectly fine, whenever Nix uses her right eye, energy leaks out of it (for every post the right eye sees, lose 10 energy points) and so she usually covers it with a bandage that doesn't allow the eye to be used at all. While this doesn't hinder her depth-perception because she's learned ways to handle that problem, it does leave a large blind spot on Nix's right side, forcing the girl to use only instinct and her other senses to predict an attack coming from that direction. The chaos in Nix's body even affects her speech, preventing her from knowingly telling a single lie. While the specifics are unknown, what is known is that whenever Nix tries to tell an outright lie (half-truths and word-plays are alright), she begins to feel nauseous and ends up blurting out the truth whenever she pushes herself to hard. While being unable to lie is bothersome, it isn't the most dangerous hindrance. No, the most dangerous is probably Nix's reaction to blood. When she is calm, she can usually handle seeing minimal to moderate amounts of blood but immediately freezes over anything more. When not calm (ex: in battle), the problem gets worse and anything more than the amount of blood shown from a light wound leaves Nix in a helpless state of shock. There is some reprieve, though, as she is not affected by seeing her own blood and only the sight of blood badly affects her (smelling, hearing, tasting, feeling, and sensing blood in any other way are fine). The only plausible explanation for this out-of-the-blue weakness is a combination of a natural dislike of blood, something or other in her forgotten past, and the volatile nature of her own aura. Strangely enough, when frozen/shocked by blood, the girl's expression isn't one of horror; instead, it can be best described as emotionless, as if it's trying to shut something out.

    Skills
I'll probably end up making a lot more but, so far, this is what I have.
    Kagetsukiko
    Skill name: Chaotic Energy
    Rank: -
    Type: Chaos
Limits: Must know at least three chaos skills.
Skill description: A passive skill that comes naturally after learning at least three chaos skills, Chaotic Energy is present when the chaos within the user reaches the point where it effects the way their energy is seen. It causes the energy to relay absolutely no concrete information (ex: class, rank, color). Energy sensors will still be able to sense the affected person's energy. However, the energy will be such a mixed up mess that they will be unable to extract any information out of it and won't even be able to recognize it in the future once they lose it. At most, they will know that something is unusual with , the user. However, what this abnormality is will be unknown as the messed-up patterns of energy hint at nothing. Even something as harmless as energy color is prevented from remaining stable.
Sample: Without fear, Nix passed by the notorious sin hunter. Even when he glanced suspiciously at the girl, she made no sign of fear. She knew that he would soon turn away, and he did turn away. Her energy was interesting, she wouldn't deny that. However, it was also nothing like that of a sin host, or anything else for that matter.

    Skill name: Chaotic Blood
    Rank: -
    Type: Chaos
Limits: Must know at least five chaos skills.
Skill description: A passive skill that comes naturally after learning at least five chaos skills, Chaotic Blood is present when the chaos within the user starts to seep into the blood. It causes the blood to distort itself constantly. This leads to a scent that constantly changes (the smell of blood within a body is part of a mix of scents that creates someone's overall scent). Additionally, the taste of the blood constantly changes as well; although, the blood will remain as the blood of the user's race.
Sample: Nix walked casually through the cloud. Someone was tailing her, she knew it. However, she also knew that the person who was tailing her wasn't doing a very good job at it. They were relying on scent, and couldn't seem to pick up the scent of Nix that he was certain he had managed to pick up.

    Skill name: Chaos Sphere
    Rank: D-S
    Type: Chaos
Limits: Only up to five can be created at any one time.
Skill description: A simple move that involves shaping chaos energy into a sphere that varies in size depending on the amount of energy put into it. The sphere can be thrown, kept in the hand, or even shot from a gun (silently like an energy bullet) and used for both offense and defense; it cannot be controlled after leaving the hand and only up to five may be created at any one time. Offensively, it slams into the target and delivers cuts upon impact, the power of the attack varying with the energy poured into it. Defensively, it can nullify skills (those that are mentioned in Nix's talent) that are equal or lesser in rank to it. Unless the opposing skill is at least two ranks below the rank of this skill, the sphere will disperse upon nullifying the attack. Below are the sizes:
    D- a tennis ball
    C- a soccer ball
    B- a large rock
    A- a boulder
    S- a house
Sample: Nix chanced a glance at her partner only to see that he was having trouble with the mage. In the opening that she had after dodging an attack from the berserker she was facing off, the girl shot three shots of Chaos Spheres in her partner's direction, intercepting the three Halcyons that the mage had sent at him. Given an opening of his own, her partner quickly took his chance and managed to get in a painful blow, painful to the mage of course.

    Skill name:Visual Distortion
    Rank: D
    Type: Chaos
    Limits: n/a
Skill description: A simple skill that requires at least one post of direct eye contact with the target. After the eye contact has been established, the user can cause the target's vision to distort but so slightly that nothing seems wrong at first. It is only when the target starts to move that they begin to realize that something was done to them. Visual Distortion causes the target's vision to shift slightly so that things that they perceive as directly in front of them are actually somewhat to either side. The direction of the shift is random and constantly changing even during the duration of the skill, which lasts for five posts. This often results in bumps and crashes with the surroundings and the inability to hit anything.
Sample: "Whad'ya say?!" the drunkard asked roughly as he rudely picked Nix up by the collar of her coat. The movement caused her hood to fall down, revealing her eyes. Of course, Nix hadn't said anything, but the man was drunk and probably hearing things. Really, she didn't want to deal with this. If it was with someone sober, the girl would have endured, but she somehow knew (blame her habit of solving things without thinking) that she would need to trouble herself to bring less trouble to herself, something she disliked doing even before becoming the host of Sloth. Since her face was already revealed, the girl efficiently took advantage of the situation and made eye contact with her target. Dumbly, the drunkard also stared into the girl's eyes for about a minute before shouting, "S'op looking ya-!". However, he was stopped short by a fall he brought upon himself. The man had aimed an unbalanced punch straight at what he thought was Nix's face, when really he was aiming about an inch or two from her. The punch carried him over and caused him to crash into the table. Nix, meanwhile, had managed to extricate herself somehow or other before crashing with the rude man and was standing beside him, unharmed. She put her hood back over her head.

    Skill name: Chaos Zone (Basic)
    Rank: D
    Type: Chaos
    Limits: n/a
Skill description: The most basic of the Chaos Zones, this skill simply primes the area for the use of other chaos skills with a pulse of chaos that seeps into the surrounding ground, air, water, objects, etc.. For ten posts, all chaos skills used in the thread that this skill was used are one rank stronger while also being cheaper to use by one rank.
Sample: Nix took a look at her opponent, and one of the pieces of information she analyzed was that he was definitely one or two ranks stronger than her. Well, that made her decision for her. With a controlled release, the girl sent an invisible pulse out in all directions. In no time, the entire area was steeped in chaos, even though nothing seemed different. Nix was ready.

Rp Sample:
Nix stayed absolutely still in the trees, her breathing rhythmic and controlled, as she watched her target. If it weren't for her strange aura, which deadened the noises that her body naturally made, she would have been found ages ago just by the sound of her heartbeat judging from the sensitive ear that the boy displayed. With such sensitive hearing, Nix knew that even she would need to put extra effort into sneaking around. A snapped branch was much louder than a beating heart and even with her knack for remaining hidden, the boy would notice it.

However, at the same time, it wasn't like Nix could remain hidden for forever. Sooner or later, she'd take a wrong step and her presence would be revealed. Furthermore, there was no merit in continuing to trail her target like this. It was either she attack him now or he attack her later. Judging from her calculations, she was far better off by using her current advantage of a sneak attack than not using it. the girl wondered as she tried to find the least obvious attack she could go through with, With that thought, the girl slowly and quietly pulled a dagger from its sheathe. Still, her target failed to realize that he was being followed; at least, he seemed to. Then, without a moment's hesitation, Nix threw the dagger at her opponent's head as she came out of her cover.

the girl figured as the boy defended and counterattacked with a speed that only meant he had heard Nix a while ago. Rather than defending from his thrown energy weapon, Nix took it head-on as she charged with a speed that rivaled that of people a rank higher than her. However, she took no damage from it. The skill was a common skill that she had seen more than enough to be able to dismantle with a simple touch. The target was somewhat shocked at this unheard of ability; however, he kept his calm like any good fighter and switched to an attack with a more physical weapon, his katana. "Tch," was all the girl said as she dodged the attack by the katana. Once more the katana came at Nix and she did her best to block it with a dagger (her second) she had just pulled out. However, her strength was easily outmatched and she was pushed back. The Mind Blader took note of this fact and eagerly advanced.

Nix noticed the thought process of her opponent and focused energy into her dagger, closed her eyes, and threw it at the ground in front of her in one fluid motion. A bright flash of light exploded from the dagger with the Hunter's D-rank Blinding Shot skill. As the name suggested, the boy was blinded while Nix was able to see perfectly fine, the result of having closed her eyes in the instant of the bright flash. Not wanting to waste her precious opportunity, Nix immediately formed a blade of energy around her right arm with the D-rank Energy Slice skill of mages. Before the boy Mind Blader knew what was happening, a blade of energy was pressed against his throat.

Battle done, Nix allowed herself a smile, "Checkmate?".
"Yeah yeah, you won," the boy grumbled as he raised a hand and announced, "I forfeit."
Nix deactivated the blade just as the intercom came on, "Nix A has won match 1-A of the exams. Please proceed to the proper exits. Further instructions will be given upon exiting."

Kagetsukiko

This will take me a while to review Kagetsu, but that's not something I mind at all smile Thank you for taking the time to really put flesh on the bones.

That being said, right off the bat there are two things I suggest you revise. The first is that the +3 reflex modified is too high. Given the huge scope of the talent, all of the strengths and weaknesses you'll attain, I'd like you to cut the Reflex modifier to +2.

Also, General states that Nix has no class, yet reviewing the strengths gives me the impression that she can wear anything but heavy armor, and wield all but heavy weapons in addition to having a wide variety of fighting styles. What would typically be a weakness is actually a strength, as you are making her a jack of all trades which is a "Class" in and of itself. Please consider the effects of not allowing Nix a Class in the full scope of her character, not just in the textbook context of you not choosing a class for her.

I'll bring down the reflex modifier 3nodding .

Erm.... The second part confuses me. Now, if you used the fact that her ability to use the energy skills of other classes made her the jack of all trades, I would understand and have an argument against that (the argument being that there actually aren't a lot of D-rank and below skills that use only energy). But, here, your pointing out my access to a wide variety of fighting styles as giving too wide a scope of abilities when most (or at least a good number of) classes are able to use fighting styles. Actually, there are several that use more fighting styles than my rpc (and have higher stats as well) without being considered jacks of all trades. Do you want me to lower the number of styles I can learn? Or do you want me to not be able to learn any styles at all? The former, I'm willing to do. The latter, seems a bit too extreme.

Also, um, isn't heavy armor the only type of armor that is ever limited? I admit, forbidding heavy armor isn't a very strong weakness, but I can't do much else than that in the armor category.

Rpc Name:
Kazora Akayashi

Rpc Profile Link:
One isn't made yet, as this could affect how the rpc will come out

Your Customs Thread:
http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=22273071

Rpc Rank:
Student

Combative Talent or Non Combative:
Non Combative (at least I think?)

Talent Name:
Halcyon Form

Description:
Because Kazora has exceptional control over his emotions, which requires a degree of self control that he achieved thanks to the heightened mentality granted to him by being a vampire ,he is the emotional opposite of most of his raged-fueled peers (aka: other berserkers). This emotional control causes him to lose the pain-immunity other beserkers have, making him capable of feeling pain. Not to mention, unlike other beserkers who go into a frenzy to transform and thus open a broad spectrum of techniques, Kazora has no special skills for his transformation. However, being tranquil has its benefits.

Benefits

    • Having a sharper mind and a more collected soul makes allows for sharper reflexes and increased agility. (+1 in Spd)
    • The Dark Ascent to Madness berserker skill is more intune with Kazora's bloodline, granting better than average abilities.
    • No tamer needed to transform, and can transform without the negative side effects that afflict most other berserkers.

Downfalls

    • Cannot make any unique attacks for the transformed state.
    • Unlike other beserkers who can remained transformed for longer periods of time, Kazora can only stay transformed for up to ten posts.
    • Kazora can feel pain

Rp Sample: I truely don't think one would be needed here, as the example would fall into the beserker section instead.

I'm thinking that Kiko's talent might need additional people to look it over, but primarily my problem is that all those custom skills should go to custom skills not through this thread. It's all well and good for like, the starter skill or whatnot to roll through here, but more than that generally needs to go through custom skills.

Alright, then I'll sort the skills into ones that'll be passed here and ones that'll be passed on later in the custom skills thread 3nodding .

I apologize - I still haven't had enough time to really hunker down and review the rest of your Talent.

Thank you for revising the reflex modifier. As for the fighting styles and armor, I never expected you to remove all fighting skills, but I would request that you do slash the number. As fighting styles is one of the strong suits of having a class, allowing Nix to have such a wide variety of styles is partly giving her the benefits of having a class without having a class. I hope that makes sense.

As for Armor, it's not necessarily limited to heavy Armor. For example, a Dark Avenger is limited purely to light armor. Casters have similar limitations. The armor is less of an issue here, but I would like you to responsibly moderate yourself to auits of armor that require no specialized training to wear. Obviously, there are no specific examples of this yet. I expect you to use your best judgement in that regard.

DG has a point that the skills connected to this talent should be passed through custom skills, but other talents have been passed through here with custom skills. As a compromise, I give you the option to either submit the skills to Custom Skills immediately and then get back to me with what they say, or to wait and take the skills to Custom Skills and tell them the verdict I give you on them. Either way, they will have to be mentioned to Custom Skills. God all of that was redundant.

As for the Talent itself, DG, everyone is welcome to provide feedback and input on the Talent but I am the one who will be providing the final say on the talent itself. There's no special circumstance that requires more of crew to review it, outside of the Custom Skills.

This talent is completely counter to what a Berserker is. It completely rewrites the Class, and removes the weaknesses that are intrinsic to being a Berserker. I understand that you've added some weaknesses of your own, but being able to feel pain as a Berserker is a strength, as it gives you the ability to be aware of your condition. The talent gives you the ability to have a super form, more or less, and buffs the already solid stat boosts of the class further.

"Better than average abilities" needs some clarification as well. It's too ambiguous.

As far as the type of Talent goes, this is a Combat Talent. It pertains directly to combat, and directly benefits combat.

Given the direction you are trying to move with this talent, I recommend you make a custom class instead of using your combat talent in this manner. A Berserker that is not a Berserker is just that - not a Berserker.

No problem, I'm alright with waiting.

Alright, I understand now. Then to what do you suggest I lower the number of fighting styles to?

Understood. Mashed in what I hope was an understandable sentence on the armor restrictions.

I guess I'll wait for your say before submitting them to custom skills 3nodding . The skills that I left are kind of the basics of the chaos skills so you can kind of see what exactly I mean by "chaos". If I have enough free time, I might also add a couple void and energy skills to help demonstrate just what I'm thinking of when I refer to "void" and "energy".

Thanks for your patience 3nodding

I've been informed you plan to use this talent to work towards a Tempest-like character. I'm not entirely sure what that is - would you please link me to some information regarding Tempests? Crew is trying to make a concerted effort to improve the way we moderate characters so that they can still be unique but there is less potential for power playing and munch tactics.

Please understand this is not an accusation, just an explanation as to why I require this information.

I think you're referring to a bloodline called Tempus Papilio that was recently approved and is now in the bloodline thread here. Although, it is currently pending several modifications to weaken it, which is probably related to the the efforts focused on moderating characters.

I understand, I can see how my talent might be a bit too ambitious in its current form. Additionally, while approving the bloodline, DG did say that stronger rpc's will not be allowed to have this bloodline.

Thanks for providing me with the link. I had yet to review the full BL for Tempus Papilio.

Given the fact that this Bloodline is extremely powerful, there is a waiting period of at least one month before any character is guaranteed the single slot for the Bloodline, and the vast and powerful nature of the talent you're proposing, I have to deny it at this time. That is ONLY if you are intending to pursue the Tempus Papilio as your characters bloodline. It's stats and abilities are not yet finalized, there is too much of a waiting period, and the ability to stack this talent with their abilities is intensely powerful.

Ask yourself which you would rather have, the fuller potential of your talent, or the powers of the Tempus Papilio. If you would like to pursue another BL (which, honestly I'd recommend given the mandatory wait for this BL is monstrous and I can't approve anything so far beforehand, especially when it's not concrete) so that we can discuss your talent at a greater length, and try to work it into your character, and get you RPing as quickly as possible.

As for the strength of the character's able to apply for the bloodline, I understand that only Students are qualified to apply for the BL, but that's not the issue that I have. Even at the rank of Hero, no RPC should be truly God-like, and if you were to have both the BL accepted for Nix and this talent, she would very much be God-like, and even before then. Her abilities and power at the rank of Master alone would overwhelm the power of all the other RPCs we have in the Guild.

I know this is disappointing news, but I want to assure you I am happy to consider this talent and work with you to get it approved if you are willing to pursue another Bloodline.

I know about the waiting period, I was the one that suggested it and it shouldn't delay my entrance into the rp. Also, only adepts and above who have not been auto-ranked and never had another bloodline (not counting the human bloodline, of course) are qualified to apply for the Bl. Unless, of course, it's been edited without me knowing. In which case you might be right.

Before I decide, what would I need to take off of my talent in order to have both talent and bloodline? I'd like to have both if possible and I'm sort of certain from experience that the things I want most from this aren't likely to be strong enough to prevent me from gaining the bloodline (although, they do sound fairly strong at first glance).
