"Looking at this map," Tanto said, tapping the map. "Looking for your plans. Trying to find a way out. In that order." He blinked slowly at the Subject. "What are your plans?"

"That's a map of this particular portion of The Spheres ," 27 informed Tanto helpfully. "Our plans, well, that'd be telling." He smiled playfully and ran a hand through his short hair. "And we can't have that. As for an exit? Well, that'd be out of this room, turn right, fifth door on the outer edge of the arc." He stepped aside and gestured towards the door.

Tanto nodded. "I expected as much. Thanks." He began to walk out.
"W-w-wait!" Isaac ejaculated. "Ho-hold on now! Wh-what if it's a trap? We c-can't exactly t-trust him!" Tanto paused when he began speaking, then shrugged and continued past.

27 laughed heartily, walked over to Isaac, grabbed an exposed gear, and crushed it with his bare hand. Isaac abruptly stopped his machinery to prevent any further damage.
"If I wanted you dead now, I would do that," 27 spoke with a laugh. "But to your head!" he added cheerily.

Isaac's eyes were huge as he fell away from 27. He felt the damage with his hand as he made his way out the door after Tanto, who had ignored the entire exchange. The Demon-Major seemed a bit confused.
"Let's see, right, then four doors? Or was it five? Yes, five." He stomped off, leaving the others to follow.

27 waved at them as they left "Farewell!" For Isaac he added, "Until we meet again!"

The door opened and beyond it was simply blackness - not a black wall, not a black anything, just an area that absorbed all light.

Isaac's nervousness made Ty tilt his head to the side and blink a little, then shrug. When 27 appeared, the boy was not at all at ease with the concept of a moving thing that he could see, hear, and not smell. However, despite all that, 27 was cheerful. It was... kind of creepy, but not enough to put the excitable werefox off... too much. "Hi," he said with a nervous grin. He patted his chest meekly and almost offered his name before realizing it probably wasn't the best idea to offer any information. Instead, he gave a half-hearted "Thanks" and backed out of the room, following Tanto to the black room. It seemed less than trustworthy. Therefore, he waited. Finally, finally, he was uncomfortable. He wanted his sister.

Cassandra had rapidly forgot her decision to remain and attempt to decipher the map. That could wait for... another day. Or another life-time or something like that. It was irrelevant. They needed to get back and, uh... report, or some such thing. Staying at this point would be foolish, since they had been shown the exit, anyway.
"Remember, we just kind of appeared here," Cassandra pointed out, controlling her voice carefully so as to be understandable. "Let's just... go."

"Ladies first," Tanto grumbled, grabbing Cassandra by the shoulder and literally throwing her through the door. Before he could react otherwise, Isaac shouted, "Hey!" and Tanto threw him through as well.

Yarah chose to go through the door himself. He did not want to be tossed in by Tanto. As apathetic Yarah tended to be, he still had his pride.
