The Outlanders arrived just in time to see a thaumatank fire a dual singularity cannon at a Desert Raider tetrapod.
"Oh, those clueless- Ugh!" Helicosto yelled, the spines along the back and limbs of his mostly-human form bristling in frustration.
A dual singularity cannon involved a projectile with a thaumaturgically-sustained white hole behind it and black hole in front of it. They were designed for piercing reactive deflector shields and the like before they could respond.
Unfortunately, this was a weapon that the Outlanders had learned not to use, but the Coven hadn't. The projectile switched directions midflight, blowing the cannon off the thaumatank.
The ability to "reverse the polarity" of something was useless in most situations and deadly against dual singularity cannons.
"Helicosto, get me tapped into the Coven radios. Now!"
"On it and done, sir. You give me too little cr-"
"Coven forces, this is Captain Anton Liu Jiar. We're coming to your assistance. In about 15 seconds, a velocisphere spell is going up; tell your boys to drop their guns and grab some blades."
Velocispheres were a unique Outlander spell, famous for, among other things, being only achievable through arts-demonic.
They were also famous for frustrating Sage Acolytes to no end, because nothing in the bounds of a velocisphere could move more than about sixteen miles per hour.
"Coming in hot, velocisphere going up in 5, 4, ready, 2, 1, here we go!" Anton called out. The vehicles slammed to a halt, flinging most of their passengers forward just before the velocispheres went up, softening their landings. Tanto and Edward Ridley immediately and simultaneously clotheslined a raider as they came in for their landing. The Coven forces, armed with a number of standard blades and bayonets, emerged from their vehicles; their physical projectiles were useless within a velocisphere, as were their vehicles, more or less. The Desert Raiders were already noticeably disturbed by their sudden lack of speed.

Tanto drew his rather humongous claymore and took a slash at a Raider that was still on his tetrapod. The claymore was massive in comparison, almost as big as the vehicle.
---
Isaac drew his twin swords and fell in with Ridley, just out of coincidence. He waited for an enemy to get close.

Edward Ridley drew the sword out to expose three runes, his eyes taking on a faint red glow.
Don't be a p***y.
Three runes is all I need.
That's what- Corhir fell silent as her blade came into Isaac's REF. Edward shoved her away.
"No REFs near the demon blade," he growled, before spinning into a 'slash' at an incoming tetrapod.
Carlyle, meanwhie, was attempting to come to terms with his incompetence at melee combat by means of refusing to leave the hovertruck.

Yarah came out and started to run towards the closest injured ally. His job in quick healing was certainly needed by the Coven at this time.
Before he could reach the first injured, he was faced with an enemy. He quickly took out his shield for defense while using one hand as his weapon. Blocking an attack with one arm, he used his other hand to push against the guy's chest - it shattered the man's ribcage.

No time for questions. Isaac turned off his REF as he slashed at a Raider. "These swords are silver," he called to Ridley. "Just thought you should know."
---
Tanto looked at an oncoming Raider. Opening his mouth, he bellowed, "CYTOPLASM!", gave it a second to register in the Raider's mind, then focused as he drew in mana and released it. Pure Chaos rushed out at the targeted Raider.

Two raiders fell off their tetrapods; one drew a sword, the other flicked his wrist and extended a stun baton.
Tanto, to his credit, did try his best to think of a Cytoplasm. But to be fair, precision was the realm of biomancers and anyone who wasn't a chaos mage.
And that was precisely why a Desert Raider and his tetrapod had just fused into a very disoriented cyborg deinonychus with shoulder-mounted missile launchers.

Tanto shrugged. That happened a lot.
He fired more Chaos at it, focusing on a mental picture of a daisy he had once seen. It was one of those vivid memories that stuck with you throughout the years, for no logical reason.
---
Isaac faced down the Raider with the baton, waiting for him to make a move.

Another Raider was coming towards Yarah. Apparently, this man was a duel wielder. A very good one at that. With a shield blocking one sword, and Yarah holding the wrist carrying the other sword, it seemed to be a battle of strength. "Get the ******** off me," Yarah growled. Using his tail, he stabbed the man's neck.
Whatever flesh wounds Yarah got, they always disappeared within a few minutes. Not only would he heal the allies, he'd heal himself as he fought.

Cassandra cowered inside the half-wrecked hovertruck, as good as useless. Without a rifle, she had nothing but the basest of Evocation to protect her - nothing but her teammates. She was, in a word, ********. Without any immediate hope of being even close to useful, she remained flat on her back inside the bed of the vehicle, desperately hoping that nobody would come close to the truck. If they did...

Yarah ran to what looked like a wrecked hovertruck. Imagine to his (slight) surprise that there was a woman hiding in it. She wasn't a Raider from what he could tell. "You hurt?" He looked her over and saw that she wasn't injured in any way. "Can you fight?" If she couldn't, then there wasn't much that he could do for her - however, if was able to keep up with him, then he'd protect her as much as he could.

"Only if my gun works again!" Cassandra snapped back. "I can't... don't have a sword or a knife and I couldn't use it if I did. All this mana - agh, it's like painful, y'know? Trying to watch it all, and it's bright, and - dammit," she snapped again, breaking her reverie. "No, I can't fight."

Yarah sighed. Honestly, if the woman could not take care of herself in battle, then why was she out there in the first place? But he was a gentleman. And as one, he could not in good conscious leave her there alone. "Can you run?" At her nod, he continued, "I'm a medic and a fighter. I need to run. If you can keep up with me, then I'll keep you safe." He had nothing he could give her to protect herself or else he'd have simply done that and left. "That is, unless you want to stay hidden back here?" He would need his answer within the next moment - otherwise, he was gone. There are still others out there who need help.

"Where are we going? This seems pretty safe to me," Cassandra noted, but began moving to get out of the wreckage. "You're pretty good hand to hand, then?" she asked as she wiped a bead of sweat off her brow. She dropped to the dirt before preparing to run to keep up with the demon.

Yarah nodded at Cassandra's choice. "We're finding the injured and helping them. I told you, I'm a medic." He started running to find one of the injured men. Once finding a person, he kneeled and continued speaking, "Healing is my specialty, but yes, I am good at hand to hand." After speed healing the man, he turned to look at Cassandra. "I can't always keep focus on the battleground and the wounded - depending on severity of the wound, I may have to lose sight of the outside world. Will you keep an eye out for me?" Whether she did or didn't was alright. But it would make things a lot easier on him if he didn't have to keep half his attention on the fight and the other on the injured.

A blast of scintillating magic, seemingly ever color at the same time, engulfed the Raider-turned-dinosaur.
A daisy sprouted from the deinonychus' head.
Another blast. There was a beach ball on its tail.
Another blast. Its missile launchers began firing bursts of 16-mile-per-hour corn-on-the-cob.
Tanto, losing patience with his chaos magic, swung his claymore and cleaved his victim in half, the blade rending flesh and steel alike.
The Raider facing off with Isaac feinted high and went for a kick at an exposed area of the leg, with the stun baton ready to intercept the blade; with the silver blades, Isaac was likely to get a harsh feedback at the slightest contact if he wasn't careful.
--
The sword-wielding Raider Yarah had stabbed in the neck slapped some sort of patch over the wound and pursued him, bringing his sword around in a frustratingly slow strike.
--
Edward Ridley found himself confronted by a Raider who had not left his tetrapod, who strafing in a slow circle around him.
Until, of course, he fired a mana pulse at the swordsman.
