I'm Jordan, or Hidamarimite, a 21 year-old female. I'm here more to learn about religions than to debate. As far as my own beliefs go... I'm currently trying to figure out what I believe. My family is non-denominational Christian, but so far I just don't feel like Christianity is for me, so I'm trying to figure out what is. I don't know much about a lot of religions, and I'm sure half of what I do know isn't right. I've really only had much experience with Christianity and Irreligious Atheists. I took an Intro to World Religions class last year, but it really did a poor job and left me with more questions and confusion than answers.

@Hidamarimite Welcome. Well I'm sure you'll learn something here. Feel free to post questions, most people here are very knowledgeable in there respective areas.
FYI: Christiandom is actually very diverse in it's views and interpretations despite the projected stereotype.

Hello! I'm Josh and I'm an atheist in the vein of Dawkins. I grew up in the Christian religion and in Christian schools all my life and I realized how I couldn't continue to be a Christian for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is how much religion has been abused and used for evil and the evil things that are done in god's name in the Bible. Also because it just didn't logically make sense. When I did deconvert I felt more alive and liberated than I had ever felt as a Christian. smile Besides being an atheist, I am an 18 year old gay boy with a passion for theatre and am going to college as a theatre major next semester.

Name preference: Jorden Henson Age range: 13 - 20 (19 years old) Religion/belief system (or a lack thereof): Outer Christianity Sex/Gender: Male Anything else you want to add: Hey everybody, I got invited here through a PM. It was probably because of all the religious topics I take part of in the GD. I'm an outer Christian, which means that I don't belong to a Christian church but I practice my religion on my own outside of the churches. It doesn't make me bad, it just gives me a chance to learn about god on my own without people telling me what to believe. I am happy to hear your views, though.
I'm also gay which makes some Christians hate me. (Please don't try and change me) sweatdrop I look forward to hearing everyones religious views.

Name preference: Shuri, Eli, whatever.
Age: Seventeen
Religion/belief system (or a lack thereof): "Lack thereof." I'm not exactly atheist, but I'm not religious, at all. Mainly, I accept the relatively equal (im)probability of every theoretical spirituality to be truth in some form or another, and I prefer not to partake in any specific, communal view of the world and nature. On the contrary, I've developed my own highly vague and constantly emergent perception of the universe which borrows a bit from the shared ideals of most pagan-rooted, earth-based traditions.
Sex/Gender: I was born and am biologically male, but I prefer not to identify within the gender binary. And I'm bisexual.
Anything else you want to add: I was graciously invited via a private message, and I would like to offer my thanks; I look forward to sharing my thoughts and partaking in discussion and friendly debate with other members of this guild. :]

Name preference: Christoffer, Toffee Age range: 13-20 Religion/belief system (or a lack thereof): My own take on Christianity. It would take far too long for me to explain, but ask, and you shall recieve. So long as you specify, so I can cut short my answer. If I can't be assed to explain it all now, I won't be assed to do so at all. Sex/Gender: Male. Anything else you want to add: I add when requested.

Name preference: Beorc or Brandon. One is my spiritual name. One is my given name. Either or is fine. Age: Twenty five. I seldom understand why people won't specify exactly how old they are... Religion/belief system (or a lack thereof): I could be called Nondenominational pagan. The fact of the matter is, I am a-religious, but I am very spiritual. I have eschewed religion as a product of man, and instead travel my path in search of the truth behind spiritual existence, as interpreted by me. My views will be my interpretations and understandings. My views are not universal to all, but universal to me. Sex/Gender: I am male. Anything else you want to add: I am a kind of person that holds my views, and holds them strongly, but I do not in any way expect others to change their viewpoints to conform to me. I am avidly against conversion, because it is a trespass against the greatest gift given to us by our Creator, Free Will.
I have often been described as using my keyboard as a sword, and my logic as a hammer.
I am an admitted and self proclaimed a*****e.
Chances are, I WILL disagree with you. Chances are, I will do so rabidly and harshly. But if anyone attempts to change who or what you are, I will just as rabidly and harshly disagree with them. Voltaire said it best: I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Name preference: Sin or Lenore Age: 18 Religion/belief system (or a lack thereof): Atheism Sex/Gender: Female Anything else you want to add: I was graciously invited here by Semiremis and I accepted. I'm one of the few people I know that see other humans as humans, regardless of gender, race, orientation, etc. I'm known for putting logic above sympathy as well as being the best listener and most loyal companion.
Morality is something I'm greatly interested in discussing and debating. I tend to be moderate and agree with two sides in different degrees. I try to be as unbiased and impersonal as possible.

Name preference: My name is Jerard, but you can call me Jer or pinoy, or any nickname that you happen to think up of. Age range: 13-20 Actually I'm thirteen, I turn fourteen on the fifteenth of March. Religion/belief system (or a lack thereof): I believe there is a God, someone or something had to create everything, and I just don't believe science can explain how it all happened. I am a Christian, but I do not believe in anything the bible says because the Bible was written by human hands, and then rewritten, and edited over and over. Back in the middle ages when religion was at it's highest, the clergy had the chance to rewrite whatever they wanted into the bible. Say a priest didn't want to see two gay men kissing or two women kissing, he could incorporate into the bible that homosexuality is wrong. Say the Pope didn't like his brother and sister being too close to each other, so he wrote into the bible that incest was wrong, say he didn't want people eating too much of his food, he wrote glutton to be a sin. He didn't want his wife to cheat on him, so he made adultery a sin. In short, I believe in God being the creator, but I don't believe in the bible being his word. Sex/Gender: Male Anything else you want to add: My religious beliefs are open to change, because there is no way you can tell if God is real, and no way to tell if he isn't real, and you can not tell what happens after death, my beliefs can change, I am no die hard religious person.
