Briza looked down at the dagger in the male's hand and then looked back up at Flamgra as she took the hilt, "A little..."

Flamgra laughed and took a few steps around her, behind her yet off to the side. Reaching around and fixing her grip on the hilt, it was firm yet loose and mobile. He kept his hand here until she would be comfortable with holding it on her own.
"Now take a few slashes like this.. With a dagger it's all in flicks of the wrist." Flamgra smile and loosely held her hand, showing her the optimal way to hold and swing the blade. Moving her wrist into slight flicks as he helped her move the blade through the air. Making cross slashes back and forth.

Briza allowed Flamgra to touch her. Even though if her Mother walked in she would probably be enraged. But she gave in to the moment. This was actually her first time holding a real weapon. The cold steel pressed into her hand gave her an intrigued feeling. It was light and Briza imagined it being only an extension of her hand.
She moved with Flamgra's guiding hand. Flicking and turning her wrist, making X-like slashes in the air. Eventually the joints in her wrist loosened and she was able to move it easily on her own.
"Like this?" she asked tenderly.

"Exactly like that, now I want you to try it on that dummy. If the blade gets stuck or you can't mark it up too much, don't get discouraged. Wood is tougher than skin." Flamgra released her hand and walked over to the training dummy, pulling his daggers out of the wood. He wanted her to have a bare torso to work with, trying to work around the blades sticking in the wood would have been a lot of hassle, especially for someone new to melee combat.

Briza watched him walk toward the dummy and remove the blades. She then walked slowly over and looked at the dummy, looked at Flamgra, and then looked back at the dummy. She remembered watching the soldiers train when she was young. She'd then go back to her private chambers and mimic their moves.
It had been years since that phase but she focused on the dummy and then closed her eyes. Recalling her practice from long ago. She then raised her arm and took a basic stance. After taking a deep breath she then opened her eyes and focused. In an instant she went into a flurry of moves.
Lifting her arm high towards the right she then brought it down in a horizontal slash. Not delaying even just for a second she did a spin and brought the blade across the target's stomach. Then dropping down into a crouch she flipped the dagger into her left hand and jabbed the dummy in the leg, on the line that's suppose to represent under the knee cap. Doing a sideways roll, she got back onto her feet and jabbed the dagger into the shoulder near the neck.
Catching her breath she stood there starring at the back of the dummy. Then walking slowly up, she took the dagger by the hilt, and took it out of its deep wedge. Resting the arm at her side, still clutching the dagger she then turned to look at Flamgra and gave a small smile, "I'm rusty... but I still remember when I use to practice when I was younger."

"Very impressive, a few months of training and you could be great" Flamgra said with a smile, she could prove to be a good pupil. I should request that she be allowed to train with the soldiers and himself. He doubted she would agree right away, but perhaps he could sway her decision.
"Did Vic'tyrr teach you that?" Flamgra asked, taking a few steps in a circle around her. Beautiful and deadly, she could be a good infultrator or seductress.

From starring at the dagger in her hand, she looked back up at Flamgra when she heard him mention Vic'tyrr, her crimson eyes gazing into his for a long minute before her head dropped down and she looked back at the dagger, "When I was little and we were traveling through the tunnels on our way to another city to inhabit, I fell behind and got caught up by a hook horror. About four of them had been following our traveling group. They feasted on the commoners that fell behind. Unfortunately, that day... I was the one that fell behind. And I was so small that no one really knew it was I.
A common soldier saved me. I was entranced by his skill with the blade. Afterward, I requested him to teach me. When common males were my age, at the time, they start to learn a few things. But when you're a Priestess, your training doesn't begin to way later in life. I wanted to be strong and able to protect myself.
I'm very thankful that I am the only child. If I had other sisters then I probably would have been more motivated and had an excuse to train. But Mother, looks down on this profession.
Vic'tyrr caught me and the soldier practicing one night in our new House in the dungeons. Where we thought we wouldn't be disturbed. Vic'tyrr slayed that soldier when he found out what we were doing. He told me it was against my Mother's wishes. He had gone against the Matron's say. But I told Vic'tyrr my reasoning and explained to him the extent of my interest.
He gave me a wooden staff on my 30th birthday. Delivered it in secret to my chamber and placed an anonymous letter around. He allowed me to watch him train the other soldiers and failed to tell my Mother where I was every time I ended up missing.
I think it was shortly after my Mother created Leviathan did Vic'tyrr resign his position as Weapons Master. And that's when I fell out of that practice and phase."

"I see, I could understand her standing on it, I see how fond she is of magic,it is after all a priestess tradition is it not?" Flamgra sighed and began twirling the dagger he was holding. The blade sang as it cut through the air, spinning back and forth through Flamgra's fingers, not getting himself once.
"I would enjoy training you,but I highly doubt your mother would approve. Perhaps I could convince her a little blades training would make you a proficient battle mage. Even then she may object, I imagine she wants you to focus on the magic arts. My mother did as well, hence my abandonment as a child. No matter,if you wish I will discuss it with her,you have great potential." Flamgra hurled the blade through the air at the wooden torso. It impaled a passing insect,it resembled a fly, pinning it to the torso with the tip of the blade.

Briza listened to the male for awhile. Still twirling the dagger in her wrist the way he had taught her just a few moments before. She only looked up when he mentioned he was abandoned as a child. Briza was quite familiar with strict magical families. And the fact that males were the first to be abandoned in a House. She felt almost sorry for him. But then he made mention of convincing her mother to sign her up for specialized training. Recalling the soldier who had saved her, who had once been her lover and had been slayed by order of her Mother. She dared not set the same fate for the newcomer.
"I would recommend that this evening never happened," Briza then flung the dagger at the dummy. It wedged itself right beside Flamgra's dagger.
"Unless of course, you'd rather die by my Mother's own hand. The mention of me training with weapons like a common soldier would be an insult."

"I didn't say it'd be mere blades training..did I?" Flamgra smirked and gripped his serrated sword in his right hand. Closing his eyes for a brief moment then re opening them in a flash. The blade ignited in a blaze of ebony black fire, almost appeared as if the blade it self was made of fire. The fire glowed in a dim sense, not much lighter than the lights of the building.Taking a few steps back he began twirling the blade all around him, creating a five foot radius spiral of fire. One of which he stood in the middle of, even going so bold as to smack the hilt and let the burning blade balance on his throat and spinning it around.
"I would show you how to do this, I would not train you as I train the soldiers, your training would be more extensive and private. BUT if you wish for this night to never have happened,I will comply. You are the matrons daughter. Your word is law, only rivaled by your mothers word."Flamgra said as he quickly gripped the hilt and dispelled the fire, re sheathing the blade on his back.

Briza matched Flamgra's smirk with her own, "You don't have to show off to me," her smirk then fell and she became more serious, "My Mother's word is law. It is forbidden that I am taught anything other then magic. Those are her wishes exactly.
Vic'tyrr knows them as well. But as long as you're Weapons Master, Vic'tyrr will have no say. He's not a typical drow. He won't back stab you. He has no reason to. He was once Weapons Master himself and he resigned. And he taught me a few things himself.
I've learned new magic since that time. Magic that might stop the Leviathan's information gathering in the House," around her neck, she then pulled out a talisman shaped like the Tor'afin's crest from under her wrap, "I made it a few months back and just improved the magic on it. It creates a cone of anti magic around the individual. Strictly for preventing the Leviathan only. I can make one for you as well... and maybe... we can begin my training in secret."

"If that is what you wish Briza, if your mother has forbade it than it may not be a good idea. But no one says you could not WATCH me train, and if you so happen to pay attention and learn what it is I'm doing. Than I am not teaching you,and you are a mere observer. The amulet idea sounds secure enough, if you truly wish to learn,I shall not stop you." Flamgra smiled and bowed before her, such was an appropriate gesture after mentioning her name. Her idea was a good one, a protective amulet would keep one set of the matrons eyes at bay.
"When would you like to begin, and what would you like to do first?" He smiled once more and got to his feet. Taking a few steps towards her and watched the blade in her hands.

Briza gave the male a faint smile, "That is how Vic'tyrr got away with training me. But as an extra precaution I will make you a talisman. Plus, this time around, I want to know more. I want to properly be taught. I'm tired of watching the soldiers have all the fun..."
She then looked away and starred at the dummy with the two daggers wedged into its torso, "Would you come back with me into my room? I have some questions I'd like to ask you. Concerning my training. But I want to be sure that no ear or eye can gaze or listen to us."

"Of course Briza,as you wish" Flamgra bowed and began gathering his gear. Pulling his two daggers from the torso and collecting the third from the discarded head across the room. Keeshe had been watching them in delite, Flamgra knelt down and picked her up,kissing her abdomen.
"Keeshe, you be a good girl and stay here" Flamgra smiled and let Keeshe crawl onto the wall. She scurried to a corner and began work on a web. Flamgra turned his attention back to Briza, walking towards her.
"Lead the way"
