“ Giglamesh-sensei...will never approve of this, so on a second thought...let’s not ask him...” He may not be sure why, but Giglamesh was very courteous to the Leaf refugees, particularly towards Yokou. A nagging voice at the corner of his mind told him, if he intends to keep Giglamesh from knowing what he was up to, better keep it hidden well. “As for where the Byakugan limit is concerned...can’t offer much help there. Before Yokou and Elruda-hime, I had never even met a Hyuuga prior... What I know them came from books, and most books were either extremely vague or offered the same useless piece of advice: the best way to fight a Hyuuga is having fought them before. Now, noting current circumstances...that advice would be kind of pointless, no? Not to mention...” Shinratsu’s voice trailed off. “I hadn’t seen Yokou-hime use her limit. They were supposedly, or at least historically, single field mastery inclined, but I suppose that could’ve changed.” Remembering how well Yokou had utilized his presented health problems and somehow balanced that into training, to make both his body and mind stronger besides expanding his Jutsu arsenal... “No.” He said. “I wouldn’t count it past her. Chances are, the Hyuugas of Konoha today have double, or even triple field mastery.”
Shinratsu looked thoughtful. “Theoretically, it should be impossible considering that it takes many long generations for single-field inclined clans...for their bodies to adjust to the new limitations of another field. Take a look at the Taijutsu field. The physical dynamics of Taijutsu are highly taxing on the body...yet the physical criteria varies almost drastically between melee and ranged Taijutsu art... Not to mention, the application of chakra, which was why Hyuuga’s Juuken Kempo style is such a topic of interest in the Taijutsu field... To use chakra with Taijutsu techniques, would require extremely precise control...even finer than that required in the Ninjutsu field. Well, true, their bloodlimit is interesting on its own, but I should think...considering there are countless other doujutsus that can see the flow of chakra, why is Hyuuga famed? No...the most impressive part is more rather that they calculate their strength well, and knows fully how to use it best to their advantage.” Shin’s head lowered slightly, expression growing stony. “Thus if pitted against a stronger shinobi, that advantage is often the upsetting factor. Even those blessed with kekkai genkai, few would’ve known how to exploit it to the degree the Hyuuga clan had.”
“We could probably...no, we can certainly learn a lot simply from watching them. Yet, at any rate...” Shin stopped pacing. "I find Senju the more fascinating topic... Partly perhaps, because that limit is nearly extinct...but so many questions remain... What sort of people were they, to have founded a powerful village, to unite the fractioned clans of Konoha? What is their power...? Hyuuga alone is a strong force, but so is the other clans of Konoha... What possibly could make them bow to a single clan? The...greatest mystery of all time..."
A small smile crossed his face. "And we might be able to solve it, as we have the opportunity. Senju clan isn't as dead as the world thought them to be. Besides...they also merge elements, like my clan's limit... I might be able to learn a thing or two on the fifth and sixth element manipulation..."

"To put it much simpler there a ancient clan and due to there old age that have learner how to best use there strengths and covers there weakness.....there a incredible clan, but Hyuga-dono wouldnt carry a hate filled blade like that if there wassent some type of imperfection......incredible clan ....but nothing is perfect every strength comes with a weakness youd be wise to remember this both of you." Giglamesh would just laying on a near by rock arms behind head leg up and opposite legs crossed upon that leg. It was incredible no noise was made he entrance couldnt be felt it was almost as if he was there the entire time, but shin would know he wassent he came up so swiftly and elagantly his presence was never felt until he had spoken. Giglamesh did know a great deal about hyuga he had researched what he could about them many times over in the past.

Shin was about to sit himself on a boulder, after all, tired from the blood loss earlier this day and Giglamesh was incredibly... "Argh!" A certain disembodied voice made him miss, and he sat on the ground instead, wide eyed at first before his expression changed to one of consternation (expression: =_='') . ...late... A sweatdrop appeared. Never mind. "Oh." He said finally, after a rather long moment, and rather sheepishly. Shin briefly wondered how much Giglamesh had heard...but he couldn't really ask that now, could he?
One, two...three present including him... But where was Rai?

He knew he was late, but he didn't even know if showing up was even relevant to his career anymore. He was feeling like nothing could really atone for how much of a failure he was on his first real mission. It wasn't as if he had been there to fight, and fail in a conventional sense. No, because he could've accepted that as needing to get stronger. He had abandoned his friends and comrades on the mission. He was complete filth right now, at least in his own eyes. Eyes which no one might see today, unless they really pushed him.
His feet were dragging along the water. He was not taking a conventional route. He had been walking up the river, to avoid any unnecessary contact with anyone else, so that he wouldn't have to explain himself to them. As hot as it was out, it would be easy to spot him though. Surrounded by only a few distinguishable colors of the rock, water and few plants. He was wearing a black cloak to hide pretty much everything above his knees.
As he felt the familiar feel of his sensei and the others, he would make sure to start heading that way, in no hurry of course. Late or not, he had shown up. But where he had been lurking the time that he wasn't there, who knew?

From where he was, there was no side glance to indicate that he noticed the final squad member had arrived into the canyon. However... "Rai." Shinratsu greeted in his usual neutral tone, the only indication that he had indeed noticed, by means of the other's chakra signature. When no response greeted him, the young Fubuki did cast a glance now, pale eyes narrowing upon noticing Rai's mortuary aura and funereal clothing. "...you know..." He said, as the long pause ensued. "I'm not a ghost yet, and certainly don't need you in funeral attire to jinx that." Shinratsu's attempt at cracking a joke, even if his humor was a bit morbid. And...for him who usually have such trouble speaking what he really wanted to say, the closest Shinratsu could get down to saying he had not blamed Rai nor Shizuka for his near lethal injuries.

Giglamesh set a glances apon shin, he had been there to hear plenty, or perhaps he wassent who really knew. The raisuke would finally show up and giglamesh would pounce off the rock. "About time...now cut the chit chat......i took you three on that mission to see what you three were capable of as individuals, and as a team........and you may of acomplised the mission......but in my eye you failed horribly....but thats why were here to make sure it dossent happen again now its time for traning.....most of you wont like it....well shizuka and shin proably wont but simply to endure my traning you three will be made in to tanks....what i mean will be explained later. Shinratsu from what i gathered durring the mission and your profile you aptitude will be in ninjutsu your training will match this. Raisuke you seem to highly like those blades of yours your training will reflect this....and shizuka.....im not one hundred percent where you aptitude lies....but i have seen and heard you wish to be like your sister....i cannot help in the suduction and genjutsu area but she has throw me some ideas for your traning...and since you are behinde these two your training is much more rigerous." Giglamesh would then do multiple hand chakra seals and then slam his hands to the ground open palmed.
Then several massive mounds of earth would jut upwards in different area's they would begin to shape as stone clones, but half way threw giglamesh molded the chakra differently and changed them in to something else. One area three clones did nothing more than turn to pedestals with large perfect stone spheres atop them which were diagonal the closest had the smallest sphere and furthest had largest. In a different are three stone dummies had formed side by side, from left to right the first looked to be armor less, second light armor, third heavy armor. Then in the third area three dummies formed all three had the look of heavy armor on them. In the center of this triangle where giglamesh was close to three more clones would form in to large boxes, with speakers made of stone inside them. Giglamesh would throw his casket and as it hit the door the doors would open violently, Giglamesh would then walk over and take out these vest like devices and throw one in front of all three, then extra weights for shizuka and raisuke,.....shizuka's were even larger than rai's.
He would then walk in front of one speaker and use his heel to draw a circle in the sand of the beach. "All right time for the fun to begin kiddies......first shinratsu Sit in the center of this circle. Your exorcise is called chakra purging....use all of your chakra and chakra control to guide all of you uncompressed chakra threw the ground up in to the stone sphere makeing them explode. Each is at a different range making the closest easier and furthest harder, but to increase difficulty even further the further out there are the more reinforced the sphere is.....dont worry i have multiple soilder pills for you to use...my advice it concentrate best you can. Raisuke......simple start at the left dummy and work right....use your ninja-to to destroy the dummies, simple...no no no....left will be easiest to destroy...but youll have to cut rock with blades....and as they go right they get even more reinforced. Shizuka same but different that rai's use those knuckled of your to smash your dummies....any one you can start on dossent matter each is heavily reinforced.....Now these sounds hard enough right....lets get to where it gets fun.....none of you three can take a decent hit....this is where the vests come in. Put them on....youl notice the the four coiled devices like sleeves for your arms and legs.....the purpose of these vests increase your resilience, how do they do that...in a moment you notice the vests get really tightand the coiles with them pull your limbs straight.....you musts resist the power of the springs...by doing this your increase the durability of your muscle strength and in thus increase your limit on damage you can take...dont say nothing shin strong muscles do not only make your stronger....with increased elasticity increases your ability to move at higher speeds, resilience to abrasion, and physical strength.....due to your types of individual training the vest will ncrese the elasity of your muscles and make you more ebrasive to injury.....get used to these vest as youll wear them unless your on a mission got that!? ......good.....begin any time you wish."
To make matter worse, he also had extra weights for raisuke and shizuka, her weights were quite a bit heavier that raisuke's. The entire time giglamesh had a almost crazed look in his eye, as if he was going to enjoy the torture they went threw, but it would be for good reason, and this was only the start of there hell. he second all three finished there lesson they would immediately move on to the next traning regime wich would be teamwork, that one by far is more twisted than then there current one by far but they didnt have to worry about that untill later. They already had enough on there dish for the moment with out the horrid of the training to follow this current one.
"Now....lets get this party started." Giglamesh would hook up his radio to the three large speakers and a few moment later they would begin to play some heavy metal music quite loudly, one located directly behind shinratsu where he need to concentrate. Every part of each of there tranings had a goal which would help them incredibly, as for the next exam....they would need that extra resilience to escape the pain thats awaits them.

Raisuke had a fist balled up tight enough to Shins words that his knuckles started to pop and make a cracking sound. Then when his sensei started to talk, his mood would heighten a little bit. He was too down on himself. There were people who believed in him. His sensei was right. Just get stronger. If he was going to push Raisuke, Rai would push back and show that he could do it. He had to. But even coming to that realization he would not speak to anyone.
As his weights were dropped infront of him, he would move his arm across to his opposing side. Grabbing the cloak into his hand, then whipping his arm back across. This would have ripped the cloak right from his body. It would flutter in the wind and eventually blow away. He had a few nicks and abrasions to his flesh that were not there on the mission. Under that cloak he was shirtless for some reason and was back in his old ripped pants. He found that leather clothing he had bought as a sign of betrayal, so he had gone to change before coming here.
He would sit down on the canyons floor to start sliding on his weights. As they drug over his skin he would tighten them on. Taking a minute before he would stand back. Pulling the vest over his head and sliding it on. Then it would take a few moments of fidgeting with his ninjato to attatch them to the back of the vest. As he tried to walk, he waddled a little and moved slow, like a zombie.
"Oi.. this will take getting used to.."
With that thought, he started pulling at his arms and stretching out his legs. Trying to get used to it and make himself more limber before actually even starting the training. He would indeed be exhausted by the time this was all said and done.

Even if he wasn't a hundred percent certain that his Hyouton Creation won't act up again, the young Fubuki said nothing. Shinratsu did as he was told, promptly strapped on the vest, and moved swiftly into his allotted area: landing lightly in the center of the drawn circle in sand, in the heart of his radius of stone pillars. Shinratsu casted a sweeping glance, carefully considering which would be the best way to approach this lesson. Finally, seemingly done evaluating, he closed his eyes and with his left hand held in front, in the traditional way for the Tiger seal, his right hand rapidly formed the halves of three other seal formations. Dragon. Snake. Bird. He commanded into his mind.
Do not rely on the seals to facilitate your chakra channeling. The thought suddenly came to mind. Shin did not break his concentration, but remembering Yokou's words, he changed his intended direction. Rely on solely the body for the molding and channeling process. Use the seals to only direct the technique... Shin quickly rearranged the recalled advice into orders to self-discipline his training.
Pale-blue eyes glanced down at the vest briefly, knowing very well his body was not one to withstand grave physical damage. The vest was an unknown factor for now: while Giglamesh told them how it worked, there were many questions left. Like...how long will it take the vest to constrict? Did it work at intervals? Or continuously? Finish the assignment as quickly possible. That was perhaps his best conclusion for now...

Ram. Shinratsu opened his eyes, directing his right hand in the half finished formation for the ram seal and aligned his hand straight with the first and nearest rock, which was further ahead. With his right hand and hand held steady in the half-seal, he created a slashing motion from bottom up: a trail of ice formed on the ground and advanced, half intruding onto the pillar... Shinratsu was about to head to forming the boar seal with his right hand, to shatter the pillar, but... The trail of ice had stopped, halfway on the target. Shinratsu frowned slightly: was he channeling in too little chakra? No... His mind provided. It...the pillar...had significant mass... Thus, it would make sense not being able to freeze the whole length in one blow...
Tsk. How irritating...another impediment. Shinratsu formed the half of the tiger seal too with his right hand, effectively ending the unnamed technique's sequence, before holding his right arm vertically up, closing his eyes once more. Life force of body, energy of mind... Merge. He commanded, molding and drawing out more chakra. But Shinratsu did not need to advance into the actual phases of elemental manipulation: from his already molded chakra, he drew out the unnatural chakra molded by his bloodlimit from its wind-based counterpart, its suppressant.

((First roll is Fort save, second is for the third attempt.))
Honestly, he could really begin to feel grateful to the quick lesson Yokou had snuck in now... While it was more challenging to draw chakra out simply using his body as the catalyst, Shin had to admit the actual harnessing did get slightly easier as time elapsed, and besides... He would even daresay the strikes made relying on handseals simply as the director were possibly even in some ways more superior, more effective...than if he had simply followed the conventional method... It was harder, sure...but his control over chakra had gotten impressive quickly as a result... Even deep in thought, the young Fubuki was careful with separating his Hyouton chakra from his normal wind-based chakra...allowing just the slightest bit of Fuuton chakra to mix in so that the actual Hyouton release does not injure himself.
Left hand still held steady in the half-formation of the Tiger seal, his right hand quickly ran through the one-handed forms of the Dragon, Snake, and Bird seals. Shinratsu calculated the moment of release carefully, before forming again the Ram seal and tipped the thumb forward, before wholly jerking it up. The ground in front of him froze further, the ice glittering like a giant, many faceted diamond, and the ice on the actual pillar itself climbed, advancing further...

Shinratsu's eyes narrowed suddenly. Something...was wrong... His mind provided. But exactly what? He got the feeling that that last attempt...that his strike didn't even advance much on the pillar... Almost as if a portion of chakra had been forcibly dissipated from the technique...or... Shin glanced down at the vest. ...perhaps...
Now, this was a problem... Giglamesh had said that the training vest contracts, and he was supposed to resist the contraction. His mind worked quickly. The only thing is, he can't feel the contractions... It's noticeable, though... Shin thought. Checking, his suspicions were confirmed. He wasn't able to slip a finger in through the open sleeves anymore... How much time had elapsed? A minute, perhaps two... So he probably won't be too wrong to assume this vest contracts at time intervals.
But, if it is interfering with his technique release... The main chakra release source is on the stomach... And the vest was constricting mostly on that area. Shin quickly ended the single-seal sequence, cutting that particular pattern short. Not knowing the exact limits his body could withstand the vest, he'll have to get in as many shots as possible... Could Giglamesh have possibly expected him to fail...? Shinratsu bit at his lower lip. Well, if that was the case, he'll prove him wrong!

Tsk. Nearly out of wind-based chakra... Shinratsu thought, after a moment of concentration. Better not push it...or he might experience another power backlash... Without his wind chakra, his Hyouton chakra would probably run rampant without a proper suppressant. Shinratsu stood very still, forming entirely the traditional Tiger seal, as it was presented officially.
While there was no real meaning to this, it was his benefit to either use the full or one-handed seals, his choice... However, like with most children, Shinratsu found the Tiger seal oddly comforting to use during the chakra molding process... It was a kind of odd thought, considering the seal's fire-based origins...perhaps the presiding notion that the seal itself is a catalyst of sorts, or as some sort of facilitating factor...? But it mattered very little now, did it? As long as it helps him to concentrate.
---
Cp: 2/29
While the chakra molding process can indeed grow tedious from redundancy, and this is where most children complain the loudest, Shin didn't mind it so much. Well...probably all of those from ancient families would not have such a problem with the patience factor in chakra molding. After all, it was made sure to be hammered in young: anything was better than sitting in one spot, for meditation, through the whole day...subtracting food or nourishment for misbehavior or the slightest hinting to one falling asleep during the meditation lessons... Perhaps tyrannical methods have their use after all. Shin mused. The thought itself was almost...comical to some effect...and it did lighten his mood.
---
Cp: 3/29
But he was an advanced student, at least to the point where not much thought would be necessary to manage the molding process. In fact, by this point, chakra molding was merely second nature to Shin. Instead, Shin mused over other aspects of his future further-in-depth dive of the Ninjutsu field. Well, for one...he would have to find ways to iron out the traditional weakness, so egregious that even he a mere Genin could see them quite clearly: the horrifically slow speed of Ninjutsu attacks. Using chakra at such a degree was wasteful... And, while the ability to use one-handed seals helps to some degree...Shinratsu could see why the Ninjutsu field, although powerful, is very difficult to master. He wasn't talking simply about increasing arsenals either.
---
Cp: 4/29
No. A large arsenal was pointless if it could not be used effectively. A weaker shinobi could defeat a more powerful shinobi who was less clever in effectively using his strengths... Somewhere in his mind, Shinratsu remembered distinctively these words: The Academy could save your life. Now...who had said that? From his Academy days... Ah. From that little guy named Roy, hn? Simple techniques are best... If it was impossible to fully accommodate the speed loss, than he would have to focus on the application...the choice of Jutsus in battle... In short, this led to one sub-field: tactics. The question was... What, no, just how would he be able to best use his natural gift to his furthest advantage? As a member of a Ninjutsu family, he was granted with the rare chance of possessing a naturally larger chakra reserve. And because his clan could naturally produce Hyouton-based chakra, Hyouton techniques would drain them less...
But what else...? The nagging feeling tugging at the back of his mind kept pressing in its insisting voice that he had neglected some very important aspects... The elemental chart. He remembered suddenly. Which element trumps what... Hyouton is in a good position as a mixed element... It was true, Hyouton was capable of creating solid walls to withstand Fuuton strikes, disperse Katon blows, render useless Suiton techniques... Simply put: there was a much wider field of characteristic strengths.
---
Cp: 5/29
Oddly, his mind had wandered from concentrating on the details of the Ninjutsu field to a certain other teammate of his... Or more particularly, to how the other had reacted a few minutes ago. Was it...possible that Rai had misinterpreted his meaning earlier? Shin quickly thought back to his own words. But he didn't see anything wrong... And the taller rookie was indeed dressed in something not too far from mourning clothes back in Kiri... How odd. Shinratsu thought distantly. What could've possibly offended the other? It wasn't like he condemned Rai or something along the lines of that... Wait. He might not have meant it...but what if Rai had interpreted his words just the opposite?
---
Cp: 6/29
Shin replayed his own words in his mind over and over again. Until it finally hit him...the nonchalance those words were said could've given them a tone of something near akin to contempt...or dismay...or something the mixture of both. Should he apologize? Wait, why the hell should he apologize? He didn't do anything wrong. It wasn't his fault Rai wasn't learned enough to interpret his words correctly...right? Wait, when the hell had he began worrying about how others would feel thanks to him? Shouldn't he be more focused in his greater goal, and all his means should be towards obtaining that ultimate dream...? He didn't need to worry about such trifling matters such as friendship or feelings, not at all if they were a hampering factor...
---
Cp: 7/29
And then Giglamesh's disembodied voice flowed into his head: lectures on teamwork, why it is important... Shinratsu nearly sighed aloud. Nearly. This was becoming redundant. Or maybe he really was going mad, to be hearing voices in his head. But his irresolution remained stolid, stubborn...he could not decide what to do. The young Fubuki chewed as his lower lip slightly in frustration. How highly...unnecessary... There was the slightest hint of disdain, or rather...more of dislike...with that thought. Weren't shinobis supposed to be the perfect living weapons, the tools for their villages...?
...
What he had wanted to say to Giglamesh, back where that insane rogue-nin was hurling accusations floated into mind...
Curses. He was contradicting himself again.
---
Cp: 8/29
Ho. This was no test on patience...it was a war on a choice of action. Well, his clan Elders would've been surprised that this was even possible... Shinratsu thought grimly, with the slightest hint of sarcasm. And truly, though he was molding chakra just fine...the young clan head would've probably given the whole world at this moment for the voices in his head to just shut up... In some aspects, he didn't think he was too wrong to claim that a rare, major headache was developing... And actually...the mental war was confirming just the opposite: doing quite a number on his waning patience in turn. Perhaps he should just simply stop thinking...
---
Cp: 9/29
It was probably an odd sight, Shinratsu standing so still...almost statue-like. Save for the seemingly calm breathing, there were no other movement: hands maintained in the Tiger seal, eyes closed. The occasional passing breeze combed through pale, snow-coloured bangs... Focus on nature... He growled the order into his mind, wishing to change his direction of attention so the mental war could cease and leave his mind in peace. And certainly, the last thing he needed at a time like this was a headache... He got the nagging feeling that Giglamesh had actually handed him the hardest assignment, seemingly easy at a passing, shallow glance... Was he missing some factor?
---
Cp: 10/29
An internal sigh. At this rate, with the time elapsing by, the ice he had forged and managed to touch the pillar with would be nothing but vaporized water by the time he had harnessed enough energy to continue. But was that all really that important? His mind inquired. No...though the ice may be gone, the damage done to the wall will remain...frostbite wounds were extremely hard to remove, in this case...the frost's damage would be impossible to reverse. Frozen water molecules would have entered into the natural cracks of the pillar of rock: no matter how seemingly perfect, it was made of rock. And when that ice was expanded, so were the natural fissures forced to expand.
---

A single pale-blue eye cracked open. His suspicion was confirmed: there were visible cracks at the base of the first pillar now, though the ice was quickly receding. His mind quickly formulated a plan: what if he was to keep attacking those existing fissures? Forcing in more water molecules and expanding ice from that exact point would further the fissures even more, upwards, until eventually shattering the pillar. Shinratsu's eyes narrowed thoughtfully. That may be it. He may not have enough strength to shatter the pillar with a single blow or have enough chakra to waste blows... But who was there to stop nature's own process of erosion?

The goal then, was to keep attacking precisely the same area. A bead of sweat appeared at the side of his face. He would have to consider this carefully, calculate those distances precisely... He was fairly far from the pillar but his eyes were unnaturally good, sharp...and Shin could clearly see where the fissures began and seemingly ended. And of course, the knowledge that the fissures did not end: only merely thinned out and out of sight the further they reached higher vertical-wise. A small smile tugged at his lips. So, Giglamesh liked to present him with puzzles, hn? Fine, he'll be certain to provide a satisfactory answer!

The distance between me and the outermost ring of this circle... Thought Shin. ...is about four or five meters... The pillars were around the main circle, each with a further radius from the center...however... There were man-made and Shinratsu could see that the overall radial distance between the pillars were about the same. Considering that the distance between him and the first pillar is about ten meters...since he had actually walked that distance...between him and the furthest stone pillar would then be about forty to fifty meters. Far. He thought. There's a highly good chance of missing...

However, if he does manage to break the pillars before the final one... Shinratsu quickly considered the thought: what can fragments of stone on the ground do? Well...they could possibly extend the technique...rocks were non-living but it does have the remaining essence of decomposed products...would've mixed in naturally with littered seeds that buries themselves in fractures... Either way, the barest availability of naturally present chakra should theoretically be present. So...the idea was to utilize those fragments of natural chakra as extension for his own Hyouton chakra...

After having adjusted everything and paced back and forth a few times, he would start jumping up and down a little, in place. He was trying to get a feel for all the weight displacement. So getting a feel for it in the air would be necessary too, he thought. Though he probably looked like an idiot he was still going to do what it took to continue in his training.
After a few seconds of that he would again land flat footed. Reaching back he would unlock his Ninja-to from their sheaths. Sliding them out slowly at first, then whipping them out. Still not used to the weight he would over project his timing and his wrists would smack together, somewhat violently. Causing him to drop his sword that was in his right hand. The tip sticking in the ground so that the hilt was still straight up.
"s**t, that hurt.."
He mumbled to himself. Picking the sword back up. He would lean forward to charge the stone dummy, almost losing his balance and falling to his face. But he corrected it by crossing the weight of his offhand to his right. Causing him to spin around once, then sort of jolt towards his target as if he was spring boarding off of something. His right arm would extend out, he figured a thrusting attack would be the easiest start to the control in his balance.

Come to think of it... Shinratsu glanced down suspiciously at the vest. What the heck was going on? Wasn't this training vest supposed to constrain at intervals...? But he didn't notice any - oh, s**t. Apprehensively, the Hyouton bearer checked the vest again - still the same finger width at the sleeves. There was no change... Huh? But he was so certain it had been way well over his previously calculated time, perhaps even by twice or even three times over.
Forced to reconsider his previous hypothesis... Perhaps it reacts to movement... He briefly mused before returning to the task at hand. His chakra wasn't fully restored, but he would have to break up resting at certain times in order to easily keep an accurate count of the number of trails it takes for him to get this assignment down... To keep his left hand from getting too sore, Shin switched his right to holding the Tiger formation. This time, instead, with his left, formed the ensuing sequence of one-handed seals. Dragon, snake, bird.
Ram. Calculating his release carefully, Shinratsu's left hand would suddenly make a slashing movement, from bottom to top at the pillar. A lash of icy chakra had followed the direction, this time climbing the pillar quickly, engulfing the whole expanse of the rock in ice. Here he ran out of chakra but Shinratsu allowed himself a sigh of relief, evaluating his work. He could say that the ice gave the pillar an almost ethereal appearance...

No. Not yet... He still had chakra. It was at that moment when Shinratsu's left hand suddenly clenched tightly. The ice that had swallowed the pillar shattered, imploded suddenly, and along with it, broke the rock into many fragments. A flick, a single swift moment, before his left hand too settled on the Tiger seal, effectively ending the sequence. Pale blue-gray eyes watched quietly as shimmering, powdery glass-like fragments of ice and minerals rained down slowly where the pillar had once stood, the passing wind making it swirl once on the ground before being swept into the horizon.
One down... His expression hardened. Two to go. The second and third pillars were much larger...not to mention more distant away. He'll have to figure out how to properly conduct the following trails...there were no attempts he could afford to waste: chakra was precious and recovery was slow.
