My relationship is failing.

It has taken me a long time to realize some things about him as well as myself, and I really don't think it will work out.

We've been together for over 6 1/2 years. I don't know how to be single and I don't know how to be without him.

He's my best friend and I love him, but I no longer picture a future with him by my side.

I'm sorry. That's a hard thing to realize. I'm here if you need to talk, too.

So there's a thread up today about things that made your day today. I'd love to participate, but sadly, my day started off shitty and just...ehh...

So. For those of you who have nothing to contribute in the other thread, come here to share.

So today, I decided to go job hunting again (I've been searching for a job since June. ~_~). I got outside the house at 10ish in the morning and there's a hurt crow on the border of mine and my neighbors lawn.

I went over to see if the bird was dead, but it tried to hobble away from me, obviously unable to fly very well.

I picked the poor thing up, and it's wings were in strange positions, and I walk back to my house, and up to my mom's bedroom window, and ask her if I should take the crow to the vet.

She instantly starts yelling at me: "PUT THAT THING DOWN. GO WASH YOUR HANDS, YOU CAN'T TAKE IT TO THE VET BECAUSE YOU'LL HAVE TO PAY!"

And I was like: ;__; "Mom, it's hurt... I think it's wings are broken."

"WASH YOUR HANDS I'M CALLING ANIMAL CONTROL"

"Mom, Animal Control will kill it..."

"YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE LOOKING FOR A JOB. WASH YOUR HANDS."

So she comes outside to see the bird, and it freaks out and tries to fly away. It flew across the street, but was so delirious it flew into a wall and fell back on the ground. t-t

"WASH YOUR HANDS, NICOLE. IT COULD BITE YOU."

"Mom, it has a beak, how could it bite me? It's too hurt to bite me."

"WASH YOUR HANDS AND GO TURN IN JOB APPLICTIONS."

I drove five miles to go turn in my job application and cried all the way there.

I was gone for at least 40 minutes, and when I came back I felt even worse because the bird was still there, lieing near the wall. I got it some water, but then it just hopped into a bush. t__t

Riding an elevator with a real life racist... I was pretty sure they're already extinct much to my relief, but no - there is still one and he just had to ride an elevator with me and spout all his "wisdom"... And it was such a nice day too... I did not punch the guy though, I remained civilized, which for some reason seems really awfull even though I dissaprove of violence in most cases... And now I need chocolate crying ... stressed

Something my mother said yesterday. I don't know why I even bother talking to her anymore. Every time something is going well for me she has to say something discouraging.

If she weren't my mother I would've ditched her a long time ago. Maybe I should anyway. No matter how hard she "tries" to understand she only ever ends up bringing me down.

That it occurred to me today that I haven't been on a date since 2000 (yes, I'm old compared to most of you), and that the youngest people who can join Gaia (according to the ToS) were born the year of my last date.

I've been stuck in bed almost all day today. (Its 2:22pm right now)
I've gotten to the bathroom once, and I had to shuffle and I couldn't stand up straight. And just an hour ago I finally got myself downstairs to eat something. It took me three minutes to booty-scooch my way down the regular-sized one flight of stairs. And once I got there, I still wasn't standing up straight, and was still shuffling, and I had to hold onto things around the room to make me feel like I wasn't going to fall over or collapse because at this point my hunger was doing the funny things hunger does to one's body, on top of the crappy-ness.
And unfortunately, the only things to eat in this stupid house are things that are going to make me feel worse.
(I hate being sick. StupidstupidIBS.)

I'm just waiting for my boyfriend to get home from work. He's really good with taking care of me. The latest he'll be home is 4:30. I ate a package of ramen noodles, so I'm okay for now. (Clearly not the BEST, but I'm not going to die or be hospitalized anytime soon.)

The fact that my best friend's bitchy attitude is getting to me, when I know I should have better tolerance than that.

Other than that...I have two research papers due this week, so that kinda sucks.

Ended my relationship with my ex, who had became my friend for about 6 years, tonight.
To sum it up without going too far into detail - she admitted to saying she didn't give a crap who I was dating (relevant to the issue) and that she didn't care about what was going on with me so ... to make it simple - deleted and blocked her from facebook and Skype. Way to end a day.

Having to fight social anxiety tooth and nail to get my apartment hunting done.

After getting my second job, all while enrolled in summer classes, my girlfriend broke up with me because I'm not spending enough time with her.

...

But she wants me to support her fully while she's in school NOT working.

...

OH, and she wants to live in this gated, beautiful community.

Her side of the deal? She'll buy the food. It helps, but not enough for me to not need a second job.

I'm apparently supposed to be an amazing employee, student, housewife, and girlfriend all in the same day. Well, guess what... it's not going to happen realistically.
