Imagine the stories they'll tell in the future about the time Thanatos was beat off by a non-stick Frying Pan... Well, it's a stainless steel pan, and it's pretty light. I tried it on a satyr, once, so it's pretty strong. Thanatos won't stand a chance. Unless he touches me, killing me instantly.

He doesn't have to touch you. Urban legend
Death can kill with an utterance, a stare, a gesture, a brush of his wings, or by simply falling under his shadow. Of course, only when the Fates allow him to.
Having said that, if you kick him, he'll still be limping for the rest of the day.

So, he can't kill me if the Fates don't want me dead? Pretty sure they have something worse for me.

As a god of Agriculture, I really can't condone the use of a cooking implement for violence... no matter how comical the outcome. rofl
@Moneta I'm sure you don't really mean that.

Death, like all personifications, are servants of the Fates, acting in accordance with their decrees.
Of course, a lot of people misinterpret the nature of the Fates. They don't make stone-clad decisions, only conditional ones. In other words, you can still change your Fate, but only if you accomplish the stipulations of the Moirai.
And Death isn't powerful so much as he is a natural condition. Unlike Olympians, Daimons only do what they're told to do, what is in their nature. If they have personalities outside of their obligations, then they remain simply that - external to their obligations.

The mental image of Thanatos getting beat up by Moneta with a frying pan is to good to pass up...I just might use that for the next issue! xd

...Yeah, I approve of that image. It's funny. XD Sure, she wouldn't win against him. She would definitely die. But still, getting at least one whack at him before the end is plausible!
