Marcus placed his hand against the stone and it turned to sand beneath his hands. He then moved back over to his seat and sighed a little. As he did, he looked up to the boy and soon sighed. "Now, you'll be learning this."
Without another word, a plume of smoke appeared around the man and when it was gone, he was the boy. His body appearance, his height, even his smell was an exact copy of the boy's. He sighed a little and stretched.
"Man it's been a while since I did this jutsu. Anyway, this is a pretty big deal for most ninja. It's called Henge: Transformation. All you have to do is get your chakra pumping through your body a little faster and then imagine someone in your mind and 'poof' your set."

Shunshining into the badlands, Zephyr turned to the two children. "Now listen up - ..."
Elruda sighed. For some reason...the child looked...guilty? "Ayame-san and the others transcribed the whole meeting..." Her voice was quiet.
"Even better then." Replied Zephyr curtly. "There is a proposition I am intending to make to Ame's Fujiko Imperial family. Because it will concern you - Elruda-hime - and Sakeme, you two deserved to know." A pause. "The choice of returning to Ame - chiisai-hime, rests solely in your hands. If you should choose to stay with the Fujiko royal family over Konoha - then Konoha will concede. As for Sakeme, she will be welcomed as a member of the Senju royal family and apprentice ambassador to Amegakure no Sato."
The child looked flabbergasted. "You can't! Hyuuga clan will-...!"
"I am very well aware that the Hyuuga nobility will not act kindly." Cut in Zephyr smoothly. "In return for all the troubles that would bring concerning whatever be your choice... Either way, you will be granted the Sannin privileges of traveling between Ame and Konoha specifically. Until the time it is put in effect, I also ask for Ame to place her poisons entirely in our market. Konoha will be willing to offer triple the price for their prized Golden Frog poison - and the tariff shall be lowered for the 'most favoured nation' regarding any such products... In return, guarantee that we are the sole nation Ame will trade with regarding her poison market."
Elruda hesitated, sensing this was...no, this was definitely merely the start of something greater... Ame was famous for her poison market...and as the most ancient ally of Iwa. Was...Zephyr was aiming for economic pressure upon Iwa's High Council? "You're mad..." She whispered. "Konoha and Kiri would never agree to such competition..."
"Kiri produces poisons entirely different from the continent. Do not worry so, chiisai-hime." His voice was cold, calculating. "We are much closer to Amegakure no Sato, distance-wise. She is guaranteed Konoha's protection in dire times of need. Any further questions?"

Sakeme listened carefully. The idea of messing with the poison market was brilliant, and dangerous. He wanted the two to be a part of it... at their age... at their rank... This was big. On top of that, she was being invited, again, into the Senju family... and would be made an apprentice ambassador? That was beyond cool. However, he choice on whether she went back to Ame to live or not would depend on the kid. Even if Elruda didn't trust anyone on the 'outside' anymore, including her. She would still stick close by. Either weay, she'd do what she could to help. "I can deliver the message to Ame's Fujiko family. Also... if it would help. I might be able to help with Kirigakure... " She hesitated slightly. "My twin sister was of that village and even though she's gone missing, I think I might be able to ask for help there." Would that be helpful?

"Very well then. Roxanne will be working on a formal address to the Fujiko imperial family but you two must write too." A soft pause. "And no chiisai-hime...on the right track though. As it stands, there are several grave accusations: I managed to barely clear one. The second, still credible, stands on the missing-nin account..." A soft pause. "Depending on Rei's research results...we most likely will have to buy out the other foreign nations (that aren't Iwa) that Marcus' companions come from... As for Iwa herself..."
A twinkle sparkled in his green-gold eyes. How can he be so certain that they were innocent...? Because...one like Marcus wouldn't stand to be around terrible people. As if the meeting with his esteemed grandfather had been any better, albeit unnecessary, proof... "I have an idea, but we have to wait for Fubuki Shinratsu to arrive first. After all, the grave priority is the first task. We have until before the Chuunin Exams conclude to finish the other goals..."

Oh dear... I'm still in the Exams... "Will ther ebe enough time to make it to the village and back here before the third exam?" She knew this matter was of more importiance than the exam, though it would be nice to aquire the rank of chunin, but if it was possible for her to make it back in time, she wanted to do just that. Turning to the kid she gave a hesitant smile. "Are you going with me kid?" What if the kid didn't want any part in this? She could get in a lot of trouble... but then again, so could a lot of people... whether the matter was settled or not.

"Do not worry about distances. For now, all of you must trust me." A soft pause. "I cannot honestly say much else. And though I am loathe to say it...for this case I must take the role of the playwright and the actors will have to trust me... I apologize, to ask so suddenly of blind cooperation to be necessary...but in good time, in good time..."
"I'll do it." Said the princess, suddenly. And then more softly, she murmured: "I...accused him of such horrible things. Not realizing that...that...Marcus-jiji...suffered much in his own "family"'s hands..."
"Very well then. Apart from what has been said thus far...the both of you, your other role will be to assist Fubuki Shinratsu. He will tell you in time the specifics of the task, for now just the bare overview. Elda-hime...he is the "key" to the first task's completion."
There was no need to tell the children that the first task wasn't exactly a necessity.

Sakeme gave the girl a warmer smile before she turned to look at Zephyr again. "Hey, you know if the kid's in, then I am." She looked down at the kid again. "Someone's gotta keep an eye on you." She couldn't help but wink, a rarer gesture than her actually laughing. Things were going to get messy rather soon, but Sakeme knew, she didn't know how, that things would be alright... they just had to follow orders. Taking a step forward, Sakeme places a hand over her heart and gave a small bow. "I will trust you to the end, Zephyr-san." It was the least she could do...

The child's expression grew gentle. "Thank you." He whispered, and bowed to them both. But the small frame trembled just very slightly, almost as if shaking from the cold of the night...and it probably would've made any wonder... Just exactly how much was Zephyr's claim that he never entirely grew up was true? It was certain, from how he had handled the High Council's inquiry...this one was indeed adept in the area concerning diplomacy... Or should one say...those who may be adept at leading doesn't mean one was entirely confident where leading is concerned. Such old insecurities...but rightful ones...
Never. He had sworn that...to face all challenges with an uplifted head. There will be many more: if where Ame alone regarded had proved...many more sacrifices would have to be made. Let the old geezers (aka Konoha's Council of Elders) bemoan the trivial matters. He could hear their complaints. That it was no concern of his - blah blah blah.
...because he wasn't leaving a dear friend to those old bats' mercy - not if he had anything to say about it.
Determination burned within those green-gold orbs, lighting aglow burning emerald fire.

Sakeme lifted her head from her bow and let her eyes gaze upon the darkened sky. "Are there more details to discuss, Zephyr-san?" Perhaps there were more people they needed to see and talk to? Or something they might have to do right then and there? "If not... perhaps, I should be taking Elruda home... and to bed?" Her gaze went to the girl once more. "I'm sure we could all use some rest after what's gonbe down today... and I doubt any of us will do well to loose sleep, it doesn't allow one to think properly after all." This was probably the most parental thing Sakeme had ever said in her life, though she was correct. Most likely Zephyr-san had more business to attend to, but if Sakeme and Elruda were no longer needed... well, then they should get their rest... Otherwise they could slow the others down if something importiant came to pass.

"N-...?" Sensing flickers of chakra signatures, Zephyr stopped speaking. Two figures blurred into view. Pale eyes, leaf insignia... "Ayame." He greeted. And then turning his attention to the boy at her side... "Shin-kun." A curt nod.
"She already told me most of it...though missing good amounts of details, I'm sure. But that is fine. You kept your promise after all - regarding the original terms anyhow." A pause. "So I owe you a favor..." The boy's voice trailed off, pale blue eyes impatient. "Well? What is it that Lord Hokage finds it within a rookie Genin's ability to do...?"
"Many years ago, when I still had lived in Konoha...my dear foster brother Anzu had a half Fubuki friend." A pause. "His father's lineage, from the shamanic Kyuuketsuki family. Yet..." His voice trailed off. "Both families held a bridging tie. The Southern Imperial Princess..."
"She who graces the palm leaf of both families." Another pause. "My good young man...or shall I say...'Lord Fubuki', now that your father is dead?" He passed off the sharp intake of breath from the boy and continued. "I didn't quite believe Ame or the Fire Temple's ridiculous stories...not until I saw Konpon-Fubuki Kouhei introduce her to Anzu. However...."
"Kyuuketsuki isn't the only family who could find their way into the dream miko's realm... Your family too, though possessing only a shadow of the same blessing...right Shin-kun?" A heavy pause. "You can call her. Speak to her - 'Senju Shinrei has come to collect the favor.' She will understand the rest."
"You're..." His lips felt dry. "...kidding right...? I...I don't even...?" But he hesitated. Flickers of images. Fragments of memory from a forgotten dream. A bird of crimson and gold plumage...a girl with hair and eyes the color of fire... "How...?"
"The phoenix is the guardian of the Fubuki family - didn't it seem strange that a Hyouton royal family picks the bird of fire? Because, Shinratsu, it is the heir of the line that inherits the Southern Imperial Princess' blessing - a blessing as ancient as time. Kouhei had said...won't you allow me to see your locket?" Numbly, the other boy had handed the heirloom over for scrutiny.
He turned it over, and saw a smaller image embossed in the back. After a moment, his eyes narrowed and biting down on his thumb, Zephyr wiped a thin line of blood across the white gold locket, drawing the same symbol but inverted. And then, he...what was he doing, trying to open the locket from reverse...? But with a soft click, it opened.
"See boy?" A small glittering crimson-golden feather, probably from a young baby bird, was in the locket.
Shin would probably have a lot of questions. But Zephyr merely smiled - he didn't feel like having to explain Senju's long historical relationship to Kyuuketsu and thus to Kousei and finally indirectly to Fubuki... After all, it was Senju's fault in the first place. They originally attempted to create the phoenix contract as an amnesty offering to Uchiha but instead botched up so terribly that the Southern Imperial Princess couldn't return... She forgave them...eventually... But that took a good many centuries of...favors...
"For one who bears the blessing, the feather is the key to the dreamscape of the Southern Imperial Princess... Good evening then, and tell to her of my message." With a click, he shut the locket and returned it to the boy. "I'll expect to see you tomorrow. Come, Sakeme, Elruda-hime."

What.The. Heck? Alright, so things were getting a bit odd, but she tried to not show it on her face. Phoenix feathers? Dreamscapes? What was going on? All she knew was that a kid about the age of Elruda was about to play a big part in this little plan of the Hokage's. How big, she wasn't sure, but with all of this odd mystical stuff going on, she was sure his part would be mor eimportiant than even the kid's. Once again, Zephyr-san called them away to follow him. She wasn't sure how much more walking they were gonna do, but it was obvious that either they were heading back to the refugee homes to go to sleep, or the latter being most likely, going to visit more people.

Mission Name: Bandit round up Client: Iwagakure council Rank: B Location: Kara badlands Mission Profile: We got a group of bandits...again, Sombody go and beat the crap out of them for us. Its kind of hot so watch your self. Reward: 30ryo, 250exp Requirements: *Lvl 10+ *Every three posts roll a heat check Dc of 12, if you dont pass the check -10hp

[Mission begin] Giglamesh was heading out in to the badlands, holding his right casket walking with his eye closed, he was heading out for the center of the badlands, here he would accomplish his mission whether the boy decided to come or not. The are, being the beginning of august, it was extremely hot waves of heat seemed to jump off the red sand of the badlands. Any that wore those shoeless, ninja tabi on this heat of the hot desert sand...was a fool. But giglamesh didnt seem to be bothered by the heat, he wassnt even sweating for the time being, and that saying something because he was after all carrying a six hundred plus pound casket on his back like a backpack, Wearing skin tight black leather shirt, knee high boots with pants tucked in to them. et he walked with his casket smiling and his eye closed, he always did favor the bandit missions, he could legally beat the hell out of somebody with out getting in trouble, hell he even got paid for it! These giglamesh always used as a good means to release alot of unwanted tension, Plus he wanted to see how rai would do in combat against somebody trying to kill him, see if he fairs as well as he did on his last combat mission in the mountains against those rouge demon puppets, which turned out to be people in crappy puppet suits, but still he wanted to see how well he would fair against much higher numbers. He also asked roy if he wanted to come along, but he was probably to lazy to show...oh well my fighting for gig.

It had been a little while since Gig had started making his way out into the bad lands. God forsaken desert of a wasteland.. Rai had heard about Giglamesh's acceptance for a mission at the last damn minute. It hadn't given him the time he needed to learn Shunshin. Which would really help in catching up with Gig. Then Raisuke might not be having to run at his full speed to just have the hopes of catching him. Not to mention the blistering heat of the sun reflecting off of the stained sand of this wretched place. This place that held some memory for Rai. He hadn't stepped out here since the time his cell had to go fetch Giglamesh from the place in the night. The time that Giglamesh had to actually rescue them. When they were deemed to be called 'Team Devil Burrito'. It was a memory.. but whether it was or bad was all up to how twisted your thoughts were.
Raisuke was dressed in a very thin Grey gi. He knew it was going to sweltering out there. But as for appearance wise, he was looking as if he were as poor as a brand new refugee to the village. It was all thin and choppy like a linen cloak. His ninjato was not on his back as usual. It was on his side, like a samurai would wear a katana. The fact was, he didn't think the thin clothing would have held it up on his back very well. Then his shoes were normal though. Even if his fair skin was going to get scorched by this desert.. his feet would not. He couldn't afford to not be agile if he was going to follow Giglamesh on a mission. He knew if it was a mission that he set out to do on his own.. it had to be filled with danger.
As he caught up with Giglamesh he was panting. He had water strapped to his left side in a canteen, but knew that he should wait to drink from it. Because it would probably not be a super short mission they were on. "You.. are not.. leaving me behind when you are going on a... mission." He caught his breath by the time he was done. He hadn't broken out into a sweat, but he was starting to sweat a little bit. With the heat and sprinting out after Giglamesh, he would of had to been a monster to not sweat some.

Gig was just that, a monster, he actually had a kind of cute smile on his face he eye closed making for a very coy like grin. His skin was no glossy in the slightest, because he wassnet sweating. He had his casket, something risuke more than likely could not move, he was walking a some what fast pace. Yet the heat didnt seem to bother him. "..So you did catch up....good....cause i wassnt going to wait for you.....here." Giglamesh would take the casket to his right side and open on of the door and grab something taking it out. It was a ninja-to and a special sheathe fitted like a cross x. They could not move from that position, it was like a single sheath yet it was designed so two ninja to could be sheathed in it with out touching each other. He knew one if his ninja-to had broken so he replaced one, wassent free though he planed on taking his reward money to pay for it. "..Here is the outline...another group of bandits has emerged within the badlands, raiding caravans that come up from sunagakure....reports go back to suna and they either A get mad at up for allowing things liek this to happen. Or B...they think were weak , and might plan a attack....so this is pretty important. Two squads of chunin have already been set out and failed...so i took it because well...im the chunin captain got to make it up to them."
Giglamesh was walking and talking he didnt slow down any as he spoke, raisuke would have to keep up a decent paced jog to keep up with giglamesh and his long legged steps. "You have gotten stronger....but you have to be careful youll be alone this time. Ill be there to support you if your in dire need...but for consider the mission for your self to be a solo operation. Also....even though you have two blades.....flip then and use the back of you ninja-to....i wont allow any deaths understand. That is your breifing....be carefull, this wont be liek the last one raisuke-kun."
Giglamesh would look down to raisuke, eye still closed. Why the hell did he have his eye closed with that coy grin?! There was a actual reason, because fighting at his pace got so fast he had to actually try and blink less then normal to watch his enemies and his own movements, and in this heat it could cause his eye to dry out fast. "...Its alittle hot out here...so watch that also. .....what? no i dont think its that hot, this aint nothing compared to the heat me a kei put off durr........khmm....just stay calm and watch yourself." Giglamesh would stop before he said it completly outright, but he was home more with his pregnant and super horny wife.
