Hitomi gave Kon~kou enough time to get back in her skin, and allowed her to catch her breath. Hitomi whistled at her, and began to walk back towards the village. I don't have to rely on Kon anymore. I am my own protector. A grim thought crossed Hitomi's mind. One that she hoped she'd never have to face. If it came down to protecting someone else and protecting Kon~kou... Hitomi put the thought out of her mind. It would be decided then. No sooner. Hitomi pet Kon for a moment. "You did good, Girl. A little more work and you'll be ready." Hitomi was going to fight tooth and nail for this. She didn't care if summons were the only animals to ever make genin. Kon would get her shot. Period.

Navalie walked into the canyon and waited for Hitomi to arrive if she hadn't already. Of course her mind became suddenly aware of the bird that was with Hitomi. She figured they were good buddies and that line of stuff. She wished she had a companion like that. Something by her side for life. Hopefully she wasn't allergic to whatever she was going to consider. Either way it was fighting time. She put on a pair of steel plated gloves and she scanned through her mind the list of justu's she had. Then came the list of things she could do. She had kunai and shuriken, along with her well trained fists and a few justu's. She walked towards the river and took a fighting stance as she grinned. That river was going to be verrry useful to her. Especially to point the fight her way if she wanted to win. That's what happens when you have water affinity in a place like this.

Hitomi thought over the academy jutsu she knew. She knew Navalie had gone to Kiri... This could be very dangerous if Navalie had a water affinity. But if she had an earth affinity, her alternate plan wouldn't turn out much better. Her only back up was Kon, and Kon couldn't carry her... Going that high is the intelligent decision, and her avian instincts were screaming at her to climb... She didn't have an advantage on level ground, and if Navalie couldn't collapse the wall, Hitomi might have an advantage. Of course, the whole advantage of climbing was a longer fall... That's Hitomi's only worry here. She slipped her Haori off, having a thin lace veil over her left shoulder. She still looked symmetrical from the black lace on one side, and the snakes that were tattooed down her right. She put her left eye forward, and her right hand back. Now or never, I suppose.

Navalie looked to Hitomi who seemed to be doing something odd. Climbing up a wall. Here Navalie was near the river preparing for her first attack. Of course she was gaining all the chakra she could gather. She looked to Hitomi and back to the river. She whispered "Suiton: Suikodan no Jutsu" Aloud before she performed the handseals and utilized the water to attack Hitomi who had been trying something on her. She was going to let Hitomi know that she did have water affinity and she wasn't afraid to use it. Of course she was only testing Hitomi's limits to see just how far she could go against her old time friend. Afterall she went to Kirigakure for two years. Speaking of which she desired to learn her first earth affinity jutsu but she needed a teacher to help her with it or she wouldn't be able to do such like she wished. Either way she hoped she knocked Hitomi down from that wall.

((First is Kon trying to take the shot, the second is Hitomi trying to dodge. both, I might add, were miserable failures.))
Kon~kou tried her damnedest to pass between Hitomi and the jet of water. She didn't quite make it. Kon had to spiral tightly to avoid the wall. Kawarimi would have been very nice right there.... Unfortunately, they'd made no progress in convincing... Well, anyone that Kon could be a shinobi. Eventually, if this kept up, Hitomi would end up as 'that weird bird lady...'
Hitomi switched to chakra climbing and made some progress, before she saw the blast of water flying towards her from her blind side. I'm not high enough yet. The only thing she could do was press herself against the wall and hope she survived the blast. And there wasn't anything to prepare a kawarimi for. Oh, well. At least I served a purpose. Hitomi lay as flat against the canyon's wall as she could, hoping that the support would alleviate some of the damage. If not, she would have been thrown against it. As it ended up, she felt her breath leave her as the crushing water pounded her into the stone.

Navalie looked to the wall in which Hitomi had been climbing up. She watched as they Kon took the attack and Hitomi tried to dodge it. The blast from the water destroyed a good deal of the rock and she grew a tiny sweat bead as she awaited an outcome. Like Navalie said, she wasn't going to go easy. What she didn't expect to happen was death. This was supposed to be a friendly spar. Not a death match. Maybe she shouldn't have used that justu straight off. Either way it had already been aimed and she was awaiting the outcome. Once the water had cleared away she walked up to the wall that was now shattered. She hoped to find a pale red head and a elegant bird lying around somewhere. She sighed as she took out a kunai and thought about her medic justu. She definitely knew that it would one day be very handy. This was going to be one of those days where she needed it. Thats what a gut feeling inside her screamed.

Hitomi peeled off from the wall, falling as the water finally relaxed from its assault. She was a good hundred feet up the wall, but she was light and built like a bird, (in most ways) so the fall wouldn't injure her much, but watching it was surreal. It was one of those moments where time seemed to slow down. At least for Kon and Hitomi. The fall started slowly because Hitomi had been using her chakra to stick to the wall, but she started to pick up speed as she fell, hitting the ground after about six seconds after Navalie's jutsu wore itself out. As she hit the ground, the parched earth cracked under the combined impact of both her and the water that came crashing down on it. Kon was still in the air, watching from above, stunned.

Navalie quickly spotted Hitomi after hearing the crack in the earth. "What a blow. Maybe I shouldn't have used my most powerful attack first. . ." Navalie said as a sweat drop rolled down her face. After seeing the damage it did on Hitomi, Navalie knew that she wasn't going to get very far from this spar. Instead she thought of learning two jutsu's. One very basic, one more complex. "Umm, Hitomi. Do you want to continue the spar or do you want to go work on various jutsu's?" She asked before taking out the only sheet of paper she had and wrote down a small list. It read of, “List of jutsu’s to learn:
Genjutsu Kai: Release
Jibaku Fuda: Kassei, (Exploding Tag: Activate)
Suiton: Mizuame Nabara (Water Release: Syrup Capture Field)

Hitomi made no move to respond, the beads on her headband had fallen back and showed that both her eyes were closed, and her lips were very slightly parted. She was completely unconscious, and she was having trouble breathing. Her eyes danced behind their lids, chasing her thoughts through her mind. Once again, just as she had the last time she'd been rendered unconscious, (Last time by the severing of the greater part of her arm,) she began muttering in a breathless whisper. Nothing but the consonant 'N' and the 'a' from Navalie. She couldn't bring her lip to her teeth to finish the 'v,' but every now and then she'd come close.

Navalie noticed that Hitomi was practically unconscious and sighed. This meant she had to help her heal. This was supposed to be a spar. Pushing all thoughts aside she thought through her head how to use that jutsu she learned years ago. After several minutes of thinking it came back to her mind and she started to form her chakra. She walked over to Hitomi and sat down beside her. Navalie rested her hands onto Hitomi's body and focused her chakra into forming the necessary medical jutsu. Her face became stern and focused as she performed this jutsu. When it came to doing the proper thing she felt relaxed and happy that she was helping ones self out. She hated to see friends hurt even though she enjoyed sparring and loved to have a punch at somebody. She wasn't really the type to sit down and help somebody out but she would if she had to.

Location: Abunai Canyon
Mission Profile:A very important crate fell off of a wagon carrying a valuable cargo. It is said to have fallen off someone's cart in the canyon in Iwagakure. By the information that was giving this scroll, thats in the box, holds classified information, that if it fell in the hands of the enemy, the secrets with in may endanger are the village.
Requirements: Str 12 to lift the boxes that the scroll and supplies are in.
Yumi had gotten a letter from Giglamesh stating that this was going to be her first mission. She had received it from a bird that had met her outside the hospital. She picked it up and read it quickly. Excitement came over her as she finished reading the letter. Without hesitation Yumi took off to the canyon. She was off to find the crate and hoped that it would have something important in it that the person was looking for. She started walking down the path that led into the canyon to find the crate that she was after. Her two wakizashis were still attached to her belt at her side. They were just barely above the ground while she walked. The happiness showed in her steps as she walked down the slope into the canyon. She was smiling slightly but hadn't forgotten what she was looking for. Yumi kept looking in different directions as she walked cautiously down the slope.
