Lilianna heard the commotion near the back of the room and she turned around to see Rogue standing near a cupboard, talking to it. She canted her head to one side as she could hear a muffled voice from inside the cupboard. 'Odd,' she thought to herself as she wandered over next to Rogue. "Someone in there?" she asked Rogue before hearing a few clicks from the cupboard door.

Lily placed a hand on the door and glanced down at it. "You alright?" she asked Kay in a calm voice. Despite her hotheaded nature, she was very level-headed in the situation the HQ was enduring. "I am going to try to open the door from the outside. Try to keep calm." She grabbed the handle on the side of the door and began to pull on it. The door didn't budge. "Little bugger," she muttered under her breath as she reached inside one of her vest pockets and began to rummage for something useful.

Listening to the comforting voice, the brown-haired girl combed anxiously at Vana's hair, as if the motion might somehow ward the babe of whatever forces were at play. Shira made a good deal of sense, at least to Danny's panicked mind; she couldn't have known the danger, and it wasn't fair (or particularly healthy) to blame herself. There was no banishing the feeling of guilt, though; miserably, Danny murmured back, "I should've known, though...." But Shira's reassurance had found a much-needed home, and although the Guardian was in no way a rational state of mind, she was able to regain some of her composure.

In her arms, Vana was beginning to calm down; the babe was still making small, melancholy sounds, but the waterworks were slowing to a trickle. The loss of color in the world was a puzzling and frightening experience, but that hadn't bothered her half as much as the death of the plants- and so, recovering bit by bit from the shock and sadness that brought her, the little Lesidhe babe was scanning the room once more, alert and wary of the surrounding area.

Seeing Kyo with Xerk in hand seemed to have an especially poignant effect on Danny. Where Shira was comforting primarily in giving her hope that there might be some way out of this mess yet... Kyo had a child of her own to worry about. It wasn't just Vana and herself that were at risk, and if there were other parents in the same predicament that could be strong enough for their children's sake....

Danny knew she wasn't very strong, or brave, but... she thought could do it. She hoped.

Actually Rouge wouldn't be obnoxious she's be screaming and crying but she wouldn't try to piss off someone trying to get her out.

Rouge started bonking her head on the sealed cupboard in annoyance. "it's sealed somehow and I aint got a clue with what."

While everyone was gathering their nerves, something outside was collecting around the headquarters itself. Where light once poured into the headquarters, something was beginning to block it out once more, leaving them looking at something that appeared to be endless dark. At least the electricity was working, for now. It wouldn't for long, though. Already the lights were beginning to sporadically flicker once more.

Out in the garden, if those in it were paying attention, the could see creatures of every shape, size and species, were beginning to come towards the large building. However, these weren't normal looking creatures.

While not shadows, exactly, they were a dark gray and appeared to be intangible. They also emitted a feeling as if they had come from death itself.

...And they didn't exactly look friendly. For now, they only stared, but they were there.

Zasalamel stared at Rouge. Speak...English? Blinking a bit, he narrowed his eyes as if concentrating, and then... "Soreh." He managed to get out, though slowly and masked by a heavy accent. He glanced at Shira, as if noticing she was confused by him. The Drow had just opened his mouth to reassure and apologize, if not to say in english what he had said in undercommon, however the lurch came, and the Drow was thrown to the floor with a hiss of pain.

When he got to his feet, the lights were back on...ven though everything was still grey. Blinking in the disorienting light, his pointed ears twitched a bit upon hearing two things - his friend, screaming his name - and a girl screaming, though the latter was muffled. It sounded like...Kay?

"Yahshe!" He called out loudly, to let his friend know he was there, and that he heard him. "Heeer, Yahshe!" His broken english was desperate, but at least he was speaking it like he was told to. Since he had the chance to, he tried to follow Yashima's voice...and he did, catching sight of his friend - winged?. Whatever. He raised hi arms above his head, hoping Yashima would see him. "HEEER, Yahshe!" He cried out again.

Waving his friend over, he couldn't bear to hear Kay screaming any longer. After making sure Yashi had heard him and was following him, the Drow moved to the cupboard that the screaming was coming from, the one that already had a little crowd around it. He lightly pushed past them, hitting one of his fists on the door; he'd heard something about it just being stuck. Wood, was it? He'd broken wood before...He glanced back at everyone else, biting down on his bottom lip.

"Goheng tu brehk." He informed them, before turning back to the little cupboard door. "Kay! Cuhvur!" Zasalamel yelled towards the wood. Kay wanted someone to get her out, he was going to try getting her out. Even though the lights flickered on and on, disorienting his eyesight with every flicker, he had his target, and hi now untrustworthy purple eyes focused on a spot in the middle of the cupboard. Raising one of his dark fists, Zasalamel hit that spot over and over, with a pause between each hit to get his bearings, and to see if anything new had happened.

He was trying to break open the cupboard, but if the door got unstuck before he broke it, that would work, too.

---

Neveah heard Ari's cry, but it was too late. The butterfly had hit the ground when the tremors came, then smartly stayed down as the Gardens started to lurch...she left like she was a boat in some rough sea, and she didn't like it. Hell...she was starting to feel sick.

Slowly, she stood up once the remors subsided. "I'm NEVER coming here again., Ever." She grumbled out, touching her alrady sore back gingerly. Turning her attention to Kyo, she placed a hand on his arm. "Are you...okay?" She then wentthrough to pat Oak's back reassuringly. It always worked with Zasalamel. At the same time she thought of her drow, she heard Yashima's screams. Not wanting to Leave Kyo or Oak - safety in numbers was her idea - She took up as tal as she could.

"YASHIMA! He's in the main room!" She cried out to him. Just because she didn't want to move, didn't mean Yashi wouldn't do it for her. She didn't even hear Zasalamel's yelled response either...No.

She'd caught sight of the creatures coming closer. "Oh, s**t." She said breathlessly, moving into a defensive stance that probably wouldn't help her. Fight or flee. She knew she couldn't flee, what with her friends and son still here...so fight it was.

Neveah would be lying if she said she wasn't scared however. Though her stance was defensive, her body was trembling.

Kay was about to throw another kicking fit, hurt foot be damned, when she heard...Zah? What was he saying? And then she heard him hitting at the door and she curled into herself, giving him room for whatever he was trying to do. It took a bit, but the wood finally began to give, cracking and splintering until a small hole could be seen.

"Zah!" Tears were streaming down the little Sidhe's face and now that light could be seen...flickering? What the hell? "What's going on?!"

Being able to breathe had a certain calming affect on the girl.

At least they had something to pull the door open with now. The hole would definitely be easier to grasp then nothing at all.

((Just for clarification, I added Lobby & Garden maps to the first post of the RP. Also, the creatures have made their way into the garden and are in the grove of trees (As the walls haven't come down yet, and they're high. Apparently, they can walk through things)

>_> Forgot to mention that little fact.))

"Lovely. Just lovely. Kyindera, my light, what AM I gonna do?" the woman mumbled, standing up and leaning on the desk, a hand clasped over her face.

How the hell could this be happening anyway? What was she even doing on this planet? She could have just gone to Gamacon and had a great day at the spa. Now she'd been stuck on some crazy planet for several days, she didn't know when she would get home and to top it off she was stuck in some building where freaky things were happening to freaked out people and their children.

Wandering over to the fridge in the main lobby she decided she was going to see if there was any chocolate in there. Maybe that'd calm her nerves.

The fridge worked for a little bit luckily. She decided to grab out whatever she could for the frightened parents and children. No clue how long the electricity would work. That ended her up with a strange assortment of things on the furniture near her.

"Okay people. Come and get it. Food is served. We might as well eat now cause who knows when we next will be able to. We've got chocolate, water, plant food-okay then-milk, tomatoes, chicken? and other stuff. Anyway come and get it." she called to the others.

Lilianna backed away when a child approached the cupboard door. She watched Zasalamel try to open the door and watched a tiny hole break in the wood. She smiled slightly as she pulled out a piece of candy. Handing it to the boy, she removed her other hand from the door and waited to see what was going to happen next. The flickering lights didn't bother Lily at all. She was used to it after spending a few years of her life in a prison cell.

Had that helped somewhat? Kyo was unsure, but at least Danny and the child was beginning to calm down.

"Heeeey." The squid pipped suddenly, peering over his mother's shoulder. Things were coming! Near the garden, all sorts of shapes were beginning to surface and crawl towards them. They were pretty cool, and reminded him vaguely of the blackened doll he favored among his toys. Scraping his little feet against Kyo's stomach, the Mindflayer attempted to haul himself over her shoulder, one hand reached out towards the dead things.

The English teacher was unsure about just what her little boy was excited about. Turning her head, she found out. Those blue eyes widened at the sight of the otherwordly creatures, her body suddenly stiffening. "Get inside." She managed to croak before moving slowly towards the door, keeping a firm grip on her child. "No Xerk, those aren't friends."

... Food.

The ******** world was coming to an end, and there was some chick prattling on about FOOD?

Unsurprisingly, Danny didn't make any motion to leave the Gardens and join everyone at the dinner table. She was far too busy trying to figure out what to do about the situation, thank-you-very-much.

Cuddled up against her Guardian's shoulder, Vana was being far more attentive to their surroundings- which would be why, naturally, the little babe was quick to spot the creatures sneaking about. "... Chirp?" Infinitely optimistic, she offered a small greeting to the shadow-things. She didn't know quite what to make of them... they weren't something she needed to protect, she was sure, but as to what they actually were? Vana hadn't the faintest.

EDIT:

"Out?" Danny repeated, somewhat belatedly so. Following the gaze of the others at last, she spotted the shadow things.

Oh, great. Again with the screaming....

Zasalamel repeatedly hit the wood with his fist, and by the time the door had given way, his face was scrunhed up in concentration. His hand hurt. But Kay was in the cupboard, and she had been screaming words that sounded like a direct order to him. besides, he knew what it was like being trapped in a cupboard. Not fun.

He hadn't meant to be rude, but he didn't notice the candy the woman was offering him.

His purple eyes flickered to what he thought was Kay's face; he couldn't be sure however, as his gaze was spazzing between infrared vision and regular vision. He wasn't sure what was or wasn't right anymore. But he could see the hole clearly, it was one of the things that stayed the same as his eyesight spazzed from one spectrum to the oher.

"Noht noheng." He uttered, reaching out with his already sore hand to grab the hole he'd created. "Bahk, Kay." He ordered, though part of him feared he'd get in trouble for that later...now was not the time. Bracing his other hand on the desk itself, he moved to a crouch and, using his long legs as leverage, he tried to pull the door open, and he was using his whole body to do it.

So that's where she was...

Nicolai had been lost in his ponderings, wondering over specific locations and people that might have been involved, only coming up with vague ideas and unwanted memories that had little to nothing to do with what was really going on. Wiko had discovered his ear, however, and a harder than usual nibble at it snapped him out of his thoughts in time to catch the Drow child beating in the cupboard door.

And that's where Kay was. Amused. Very.

Nicolai knew Kay, unlike the rest of the people in the headquarters, so he thought it better to assist... however that was possible. He approached the cupboard slowly.

"Get stuck looking for candy, Kay?" he called past Zasalamel, voice coying and outright snide. Hey, she dropped him on his a** the moment they met. He had a right.

The door was holding tight, for the moment, and Kay was beginning to get anxious. It was only when she heard Nicolai's voice that a scowl crossed her face, "Do you think I would look for candy at a time like this, pretty boy?"

Obviously, the sidhe didn't much like him, "Go do something useful and tell me what's been going o--"

Kay was cut off by the door finally giving way and being ripped off it's hinges. She immediately crawled out of the cupboard and hugged Zah tightly.

"IloveyoudoyouknowthatIreallyreally..."

And then, the lights went out along with all the other electricity....including the mini fridge.

"do. Crap."

Trying to catch the crab with the floor lurching and shaking as it was made a rather difficult task for Aurrek. In the moments of darkness, the cold-blooded critter was all but invisible to the god's heatsight as well.

Just as he caught Nordri, though, Aurrek started to feel the energy draining out of him. He saw the color draining from the others, but his own hands were as white as they had ever been. The ordinarily-blue tips on the claws of crab he now held, though, had faded to a dark grey; after noticing this, Aurrek realized his hair and clothes had been drained of their usual navy hue.

Energy drain on an immortal was a strange feeling, and, while Aurrek did not quite feel like he was going to go to sleep there on the floor, it created a very uncomfortable nausea deep set in the pit of his stomach. He got some mirth, at least, from seeing the effect it had on Nordri - the crab who had been struggling in his hands a few moments before was now starting to go a little limp.

It at least allowed the god of hourglasses to hold him in one hand, so he could press his other one against the growing cramp-like pain in his abdomen.

"What on earth is going on?" he asked, his voice a little tight from the soreness as he felt the need to ask the obvious question. Where was his nice relaxing afternoon flopped in a sofa?

And then the lights went out again. "Oh, lovely...."

Along with the lights going out, several brave (and slightly less intangible) creatures that had gathered outside the garden's walls decided to take their chances. The walls began to shake with effort to stand when something heavy started to beat against them.

The spirits were ramming the high brick walls, and it looked like they would win.

It would have been a good idea to get inside. Hopefully, someone would take charge.

It seemed as though the headquarters was officially under attack.
