"That'll keep you warm," Brayden smiled, watching the coat unfurl, "I'll just have to be careful Gin doesn't see it," he laughed, as Kaya explained its origins.
"I suppose I'm somewhat used to this type of weather. Although Fuschia wasn't freezing, it has its share of cooler winters. I don't think I could survive in a place like Snowpoint, however," he shook his head, "I'm not that much of a snowbird."
Caliga merely yawned, not reall keeping up with the banter. She watched Gigi for a moment, smirking. The Meowth certainly had plenty of energy. However, she wasn't really inclined to join her. Although tormenting Felix might very well be quite fun.

 Julian Chloe's Pakenav beeped again when Julian sent his reply. Thank you for the information. I'm in Jubilife now so it'll take me a while to make it all the way to Hoenn. How is everyone else? Are you still with the others? I really miss you all but I need to find Sasha as soon as possible. Hope to see you all again soon though.

"I have to say, even though I grew up in Blackthorn, which is relatively north from the rest of Johto, I absolutely hate the cold," she admitted, catching the tail end of the conversation.
"I'd always loathe going through the Icy Path," she laughed, "That was the worst for me."

Felix had to resist the urge to scoot closer to Vhan, and almost as if they knew the other boy was watching them, his ears twitched.
When Kaya offered him the marvelously wonderful pretty looking coat, Felix was surprised enough to do some of those things that he normally didn't do. The first was: Blush bright red, and the second was: Take the coat with a thank you, and not some sarcastic comment.
For a long moment he just said there, staring at the coat in his lap, ears twitching. It was strange to have people being nice to him for no other reason than because they wanted to...

"Haha, okay then, Gin would probably approve then," Brayden laughed, a bit relieved. He really didn't want to see anyone under the wrath of a Ninetail's curse. Just having Gin miffed at him for some reason or another was more than enough for him to handle sometimes.
Brayden couldn't help but grin at Kaya's poke to Chloe, "True," he laughed, "We'll have to watch out, though, or you might breathe some fire on us."
Brayden considered for a moment, before releasing Cye into the water below the ship. He figured he owed the Feraligatr a bit of free time after getting his mouthful of Aoi earlier. The gator vanished beneath the waves after confirming that this was a break, not a battle, as he settled into the river, ready to follow the ship when it set sail, but enjoying the water in the meantime.
Brayden watched him vanish, smiling faintly, before turning back to the group.

"Wait, so you guys know each other?" Brayden inquired, looking from Kaya to Felix.
"I think I've heard of Snagem before, but I don't know too much," he admitted with a shake of his head.
Caliga had taken to sniffing about the sailors, watching them load their cargo. However, a strange scent caught her attention as she peered between two older crates that had been there before. A handful of mushrooms had sprouted, apparently using the water from a leaky barrel.
Curious, she poked at the mushrooms with her paw, causing a mini cloud of spores to float up. The Umbreon backed off, sneezing a couple of times to clear her nose, before crouching, glaring at the mushrooms slightly for causing the involuntary reaction. Intrigue won out, however, as she scooped up the mushrooms to inspect later on, she poked them into Brayden's bag, which was sitting on deck, not really having anything to carry them in herself.

Chloe was starting to get used to the rocking of the boat. Sure it went up and down, but not nearly as much as she had been afraid it would. She looked up, watching the wind snap in the sails as the sound caught her attention, however, turned back to the group once her curiosity was satiated. The flag had a picture of a Wailord, understandably, along with a spear, and what looked like the top of a fort. Either that or stylized waves. Chloe wasn't too up to speed on flag symbols. For all she knew it was stacked boxes at the bottom of the flag. Which, she mused, would fit in with their cargo ship method of sailing the sea.
Not putting any more thought into it, Chloe turned her attention back to her friends, again catching the tail end of the conversation going on among the boys.
"So you've met before?" she ventured to Kaya, regarding his comment of having known Felix prior to now.
There were a couple of shouts from the crew to each other, along with the louder orders from Yoran as she directed different parts of the crew. A few minutes of shouting later, the sails made another slapping sound as they were secured, a few of the ropes were undone, and the ship was pushed from the dock, easing into the deeper waters of the canal.
"You four!" Yoran called, pausing for a moment, "No, wait, five," she corrected, noticing Felix, "We never have much trouble in the shallower waters, so its free-sailing, but keep an eye out once we pass the drawbridge," she nodded, "Hopefully you won't have to earn your keep, but just in case," she wandered off to oversee other things on the ship.

Felix reluctantly pulled away from the enchanting touch and regarded Kaya with a mixture of curiosity and wariness. Now that the silver haired boy had mentioned it, he did recall why the other man had seemed so familiar. He glanced sidelong at Vhan to see how he took the news. The others obviously weren't familiar with team Snag'em's reputation, but since Vhan had grown up in Orre, he most definitely would know about them.
Before Felix could think up a response, the boat cast off. He clutched at the wood below him, his claws digging into the wood, and his face growing pale. He directed his gaze at the deck of the ship, suddenly not giving a damn about what Kaya had just revealed. Don't look at the water, don't look at the water, don't look at the water....
When Caliga had started poking around, Gigi had followed her, curiosity getting the better of the cat pokemon. She jumped up on top of the leaky barrel and watched as the umbreon carried back a few of the mushrooms she had found. Gigi jumped down to where the mushrooms were growing and grabbed a few of them herself depositing them into Felix's bag.

Brayden watched as the boat eased away from the docks, the crew guiding it away from the harbor as they set sail. He had to admit, they had it down to a science. Everyone seemed to be able to be exactly where they needed to be when they were needed. He knew he could never accomplish that. With his luck, he'd be in the way of the mast as they swung the sails out to catch the wind. That would turn his travel to a dive rather quickly, he assumed.
Speaking of swims... Brayden took a peek over the railing, making sure Cye was keeping up with the ship. He spotted the red spikes on top of the Feraligatr's head easily enough, slicing through the wake of the ship as he trolled alongside the hull. Seemed he was having an easy time of keeping pace, so Brayden offered him a wave (to which Cye responded with a hearty "Feraaa!" of greeting), as he turned his attention back topside.
He caught sight of Felix, clinging to the deck, frowning slightly. He knelt next to the boy, "Anything I can do?" he inquired. Perhaps if he got him engaged in a conversation, he'd be distracted from the waves.

Chloe leaned against the railing, careful of her footing, lest she take an unwilling dunk in the river, listening to the exchange. Kaya's admission surprised her, however. She had never known that about the prince, "Wow... I had no idea," she murmured.
"I'm with Brayden, I don't know much at all about Snagem, or, in my case, even much about Orre for that matter. Just a few snippets here and there from the news or from books," she admitted, "I was never too good with studying, though, so I don't recall much about it."
"So they... stole Pokemon?" she inquired, "You mean from other trainers?" That was a hard thing for her to grasp. For one, the thought of losing any of her own Pokemon was a hard one, she certainly wouldn't want to ever lose any of her friends, Pokemon or no.
The ship was sailing a steady course, nearing the drawbridge at the north of town.
