I personally prefer yaoi. Though I have nothing against yuri, I just can't get my rocks off to it...
(And that sounds horrible, but it's true...) >.>

hmm, both, there are things i like and hate in both, so in the end, it's down to the title im reading or watching
i love loveless! but that's cos i think it's cute and it's just full of wonderfully drawn characters
i also read numerous yuri manga, mostly off yurihime, and my fav so far is Strawberry Shake Sweet, just so cute and fun to read
...so in the end, personal taste i think

Yaoi, like many people said, has more variation in plot and art it seems. Both are based on its fan base. Yaoi has a wider fan base and therefore more must be done with it to please all the different types of fans. I'm guessing most people who are into yuri are into it for one thing, shiny big boobies and pure smut smut smut. I'm guessing since most yuri's I've seen were pretty much there for the smut.
I'm not really into yuri myself. I prefer shojo-ai (its not that I can't take yuri its just I don't really care for it). Unless it has good plot and is not pure smut then I don't watch it/read it.

I had a season when I was all over yuri and I drew only yuri. But it somehow just faded away but I do still like it very much. :3 But right now I'm having this yaoi-season and I must admit that I like it better. In meh opinion, almost all anime-women look awfully same and boring that I don't feel like pairing 'em or their personalities are total twisted, they're bitches or sumthing else. But it's really a shame that there's not so much good yuri-animes, I'd really like to see some of there were. 8<

I like yaoi over yuri better because I can follow it more and get what thay are doing and saying more than I can two girls in a bed.

Right now I'd have to say I'm more into yaoi. I don't have anything against yuri, I just haven't had much experience with any. If anyone has any recommendations for yuri, I'd love to post back with a more exact opinion. 3nodding

Yuri doesn't appeal to me. In fact, it's usually overdone and gross.
