It was then that Asger had walked into the dorm, and boy was it a sight for him to see. Auburn was probably the only one out of the group to have some semblance (get it?) of a calm mind out of them. Maru looked up from the bundle of covers surrounding him and rushed over to the red haired boy who he had once danced with and maybe was being stalked by his sister for. "Asger! Zumtheng's totally wrong! I-I woke up from Auburn's scroll and I..." He rambled on and on is that feminine fussy tone of his until the team leader spoke up finally, frustrated with his antics.
"First off, Maru, stop freaking out. You're not the only one. My semblance is gone as well. And, I saw a few others around who seemed to be having issues. It's not like they just lost theirs...it's more like...they randomly got one they have no clue how to use."
To further prove her point home, she showed the newcomer to the dorm some wood. Maru's first instinct was to want to touch it but best leave that for Asger. The explanation given was that Auburn had made the wood into another material entirely, now more akin to glass. After whether or not Asger touched it, Maru took his turn. His eyes widened at the resulting texture. It was brittle, like one of them could shatter it. "Fascinating. Zo you can change zee entire make up of an object with your semblance?"
Komaru looked down at his right hand before placing it onto Asger. It remained there for some time before he lifted it and tried to activate his semblance. Nothing. He puffed out his cheeks and tried harder though nothing came. He tried even harder, the hardest of harders and still nothing. "It's like...nothing eez even zere for me to summon. Like a void where zumtheng should be." He looked over just in time to see Reikka summon some kind of creature. Any kind of description was too much for Maru to even give. It was like somebody had mashed a wolf and a wild horse together. It called her master as komaru tilted his head and crossed his arms. This was not the best of days.
Auburn watch with growing agitation that she kept hidden under the ever-present expression of total apathy she wore as Maru examined the bit of wood after Asger, commenting on what her semblance did before he tried to use his to no effect. She had noticed something off about Reikka as well, especially the lump in her bed, though, she'd assumed it was a pillow or something. But, when Reikka pulled back the sheets to reveal...a creature...Auburn had had it. She could see the shock on Reikka and could tell she and Maru were not handling this well.
"Alright, enough. Reikka, don't panic. If that creature were dangerous to you, it'd have attacked already, it had far too much opportunity and you'd be in bad shape. And it seems like that is what my new Semblance does Maru. And, seeing as there was some girl who caught her room on fire this morning, while still in bed from the sounds of it, I'd suggest not trying to activate your semblances inside, or on another until everything returns to normal. We need to keep hold of ourselves. Not knowing what Semblances everyone has is a recipe for disaster and is probably the most potentially dangerous thing you three have encountered. Maru, what if your semblance had been swapped out for something like generating electricity? You could have just electrocuted Asger. Until we know what we're dealing with, we need to be cautious."
Weapon(s): Judgement is a massive sword that is 77" long, 14" wide and weighs 54 lbs, but, has no unique properties other than that. Auburn is able to wield this beast of a blade, even one-handed, because of her Semblance.
However, her boots and gauntlets are equipped with mini cannon-like guns that fire off dust rounds. (See Mission for image of gauntlets and boots)
I know nothing because I know too much... ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The only person that seemed to hold any relative amount of calm before Asger had entered the room was the other redhead of the team, Auburn. In place of panicked confusion, she seemed a just a tad irritated but just as confused. Reika had been so absorbed with the lump currently hiding under her bed covers that his appearance seemed to startle her. One might have chuckled at the way she just about jumped out of her skin, but Asger instead offered her an awkward sort of wave as she returned around. "Sorry, I didn't mean-" He had been about to apologize, polite as ever, but before he could quite get the words out of his mouth before he was rushed by a distraught Maru... who was then cut off by the agitated Auburn. Asger would offer the boy a somewhat apologetic smile, but otherwise remain silent through the interactions, simply observing and analyzing the details rather than speaking on the matter himself. He was trying to put the pieces together, but none of it really made much of any sense. A bit of clarity would be presented as Au urn presented him with what looked like a chunk of wood. Picking it up and turning it over in his hand, sapphire orbs would examine the object clasped in pale hands. What looked like wood felt instead like glass. "How interesting..." He would muse silently to himself, speaking for the first time since he'd entered. Knowing that changing the internal structure of a material was not Auburn's true semblance was another sign that something was off. "There has to be some sort of a logical explanation for this." But what? How? In all the massive amounts if text and books he had read and digested over the years he had come across several oddities, but never once had he heard about a semblance completely altering over night... or just disappearing in Maru's case.
Glancing down at the hand of the pinkette who had laid his hand so carefully upon his. He wouldn't object or pull away, but instead stare at the gesture for several moments. An odd expression came over his face. He knew what Maru was doing was intended for practical purposes, but the boy still wasn't much used to physical contact, not outside of his family anyway... and certainly not the gentle kind. There was but one person who always seemed adamant about breaking that rule... and even she couldn't really he considered gentle. The strange teeth shaped scars littering his arms were prove of that. Even so, she was long gone and he had taken the guilt of that upon his own shoulders, just as he had with the others. For just a moment, a pained expression would flash across crisp features, vivid blues growing just slightly darker. After a moment he would shake it all away, his face returning to the normal calm slate that it was. "I wouldn't worry about it too much about it Maru... I'm sure there is a reason for this which means there is no reason it can't be fixed and returned to normal."The falcon still wasn't sure what that reason was, all he was really certain of was that while some semblances had seemed to change, others had vanished entirely. Still, he wasn't one to believe that things just happened out of coincidence and he wasn't going to leave this all up to chance. Someone or something must have had a play in the mess at hand and he was certain that someone was not fate.
Stranger and stranger, curiouser and curiouser, that's how the events of the day seemed to be escalating as Reka finally pulled back the blankets from the lump on her bed to reveal the oddest creature Asger had ever laid eyes on. It didn't look like anything that could actually exist, but rather a combination of real animals. Sapphire gaze slightly wide, he would lean closer, examining the creature with a bit of shocked curiosity. He tried to put sense to it, but just like the rest of the events of the day, there wasn't much clarity to be shared. Straightening up, he would nod along to Auburn's words. "Its not going to hurt you Reika, it's not taking a threatening stance. I'm not sure of the changes with my own semblance, but I think Auburn's right. Its probably best none of us try to use our semblances until we're absolutely sure what's going on." Semblances were special, unique, derived from one's personal aura and essence. It didn't make sense from them to just change so suddenly or to just disappear. However... could they have swapped somehow? Really that made just as little sense. How was something like that possible? Then again, as unlikely as it all seemed, it was happening right before his eyes, and that at least seemed like the more likely of the options. It would explain why he had felt so unlike himself all morning. However, that brought another thought to mind. It was like Auburn said, trying to use unknown semblances were dangerous, but his semblance could be dangerous anyways. Running a hand through his hair and sighing softly, he hoped he was wrong for perhaps the first time in his life. A mishap with his semblance could be life threatening to both the user and the people near by. "Perhaps we should ask the other students if any of them are experiencing anything... odd." If others really were experiencing these same difficulties, it was possible they could come to a conclusion by drawing more information from them.

Rҽιƙƙα Cҽɾυʅҽαɳ : Team CHAE
"Its not that!" Reikka interjected, looking at the creature with idle curiosity, "It's just that... I can feel it bonded to my aura somehow." She stepped a little closer and daintily petted the creature, its face lighting up in a goofy smile as she did so. The thing pulsated with blue-ish aura, shimmering and glimmering with a living quality to it. It was rather beautiful if you put aside its strange features. She never felt such a bond to something with a less than substantial makeup before. But the connection between her and the animal was as solid and real as the sky above them or the vastness of the ocean. It wasn't some delusion or some strange tactile hallucination. No, it was like she felt like it could read her soul and she could right back. As she mulled over the remarkability of her bond to the animal, she barely heard what Asger or Auburn said about the thing not intending to harm her or how they sought and wanted stronger confirmation about what was going on. Then a strange thought occurred to her: If they switched semblances with someone, who did this amazing creature belong to? She looked at the blue thing with a now disturbed mindset, wondering just who he belonged to in the first place; whether he was a bad person or not. She was so completely engrossed with the thought, it felt like everyone's voices in the room was like a faraway echo that barely reached her. Her mind was positively buzzing with several thoughts at the same time, unable to hear beyond her own grinding wheels.
"There's no way to dodge it. We have to find out what's going on and try to wait out the return of our semblances." She declared, now back to her original state of optimism, "All we can do is hope this swapping incident is temporary." She looked at the ground, worry riddled on her face. How long would it take? Who's to say this wouldn't occur again once this was over? She took a deep breath, letting go of her troubling thoughts. She looked at each of her team members faces, reading their own concerns even though they were visibly trying to keep their heads together. She could sense that they were just as bothered by this as her. Then she began thinking of the drawbacks of having their semblances switched, "Do you think we'd have trouble controlling another person's powers that differ greatly from our own?" She said, thinking out loud. The practical side of the event struck her, wondering just how much they'd have to re-learn how to use their current semblances when they came here to learn about their own. It was going to be hell on Earth all over again. She was especially worried about Asger and Maru. Theirs seems to remain unknown in its entirety up until now. But there was nothing they could do until they tried to activate their semblances and seek the answers for themselves. She couldn't help them with that, seeing as she somehow knew that she, too, was also going to struggle just as they will.
Komaru continued to fuss about while swaying back and forth. Had he his own semblance he would have been shifting back and forth between his male and female forms. Then again, if he did have his semblance he wouldn't be having this problem at all. Auburn scolded the boy as he had put his hand on Asger to test and see if he still possessed his old semblance, a very strong point. Maru puffed his cheeks out and sniffled.
"Maru, what if your semblance had been swapped out for something like generating electricity? You could have just electrocuted Asger. Until we know what we're dealing with, we need to be cautious."
"So zorry, Auburn! I'm so zorry Asger! I promize not to do eet again!" Komaru looked at his totally not a crushing on friend as the red head spoke. "I wouldn't worry about it too much about it Maru... I'm sure there is a reason for this which means there is no reason it can't be fixed and returned to normal." It helped the frenchie feel a little better about everything and stay put for a moment. Maru's leaned on the couch nearby or whatever was near, twirling his pink braid around for a moment or so while furrowing his brows.
Auburn looked at Asger as he suggested asking around. "I've seen enough to know this isn't just us. Several I've seen using their semblances before have something completely different, and others I've seen don't seem to have any control over something that should be well-adjusted to already. Much like the girl I mentioned. If your Semblance isn't making fire, I find it hard to believe that you'd suddenly set your room ablaze with you in bed and have no other cases like it this far into the school year. And Maru, I know I seem harsh, but, I've learned to not be reckless."
She left a heavy pause follow before sitting down and removing her gloves, showing off the blood-soaked wrappings under them from when she was practicing. She dug out more and unwound the ones on her torn-up hands to replace them."What I'm about to say stays between us. Don't feel pity for me, I'm long past it. So far, only Reikka, as team leader, and staff know this. I want to keep it that way. I...honestly have no clue who I am. I was orphaned before I can really remember. I had anything but a normal life. As far back as I can remember, I was a prisoner of a group that call themselves the Crimson Fang*. An anit-human sentiment faunus group. I received absolutely no education beyond learning to speak and fight. They spent the years I was in their prison trying to condition me into a killer they could control. At least Half of that they managed. I've killed many times in my life, more than I can count. The first time was when I guess I was around six.
Again, I know very little about myself, including my age. But, I was very young. Up until a couple months prior to this school year, I was their captive. And almost daily I was thrown into a fight pit to fight to the death, if they weren't whipping or beating me that is. Neither fighter was allowed to leave until the other was dead. More than once, it took the majority of a day, if not going into the next to finish. I am telling you this because I know I'm blunt and harsh, but, it's all I know. As is fighting, which is why, when I managed to escape and was tended to by a huntress who found me, I took up the suggestion to become one myself. The one skill I have being used in a way to actually help rather than harm others. I'm a killer, I cannot change that. But, perhaps I can turn it into something helpful. I can be cold, but I am no psychopath. I did what I did to survive, nothing more. If that makes any of you uncomfortable, sorry. You are welcome to request me being reassigned if you wish, I won't hold it against you."
By the time she finished speaking, she'd rebandaged her hands as expertly as if she'd had a medical professional do it for her and tossed the stained strips into the trash. She pulled the bag out and struggled to manage the dexterity to tie it up. Still, she didn't avert her eyes from anyone. And there was no regret, fear, or shame in her gaze. She knew what she was and had made peace with it. And she did not care if someone found fault with her for it. It was who she was and she could not change the past.

Reikka was so focused on her two male teammates that she had failed to initially pay attention to Auburn. That's when she smelled the tint of fresh blood. When she turned in her direction, she immediately caught the horrendous sight of Auburn's bloody hands. "Oh my... Auburn, you're hurt." She exclaimed with immediate concern. She then went over to her drawers and opened the lowest drawer and pulled out a small plastic container that had her ectoplasm stored in it, "Here, take this and rub it all over your wounds. It should help." She said, tossing over the roundish, used cosmetic container that had no label on it, "I made some last night, just in case." She then looked her once again in the eyes with a serious expression, "Don't worry, Auburn. We won't judge you for who you once were." She then seemed somber, "We all know how you tend to bring up your past even if you're not proud of your scars or killer instincts." She then paused, now looking at her with a friendly smile, "But you should know that we're in this together as a team and that we're here for you."
She then turned towards Maru and gave him a slight smile, "Well, first things first... let's go get some breakfast!" She announcedly suggested. Frankly, she was starving, "Then we can ask around and see if everything is as freaky as it was with us." She headed towards the door, taking her time to let her companions follow her out. The weather was nice and clear outside, giving no indication of the disaster that has now befallen the school and possibly everyone who had semblances in Vale. She sighed at the warmth of the sun and the small wisps of wind blowing through their apartments' hallways, motioning to her teammates to come with her. Today was going to be an unusual day, she knew it would be, but that didn't stop her from enjoying another day in Beacon and to allow herself to be her free-spirited self with her friends. Yes, she would be herself no matter how much her very aura has changed. She then noticed the large wolf-horse creature following, much to her surprise, "Oh yeah.... you're with me now." She paused for a second, thinking, then allowed him to follow her, "I'll call you 'Mana'!"
Auburn's story certainly had made the boy proud. She had already taken a huge step in the form of opening up to the team before and now here she was putting herself out there. Komaru would have hugged her if he could. What got his attention was the gang she had mentioned. The Crimson Fangs. From what he and the rest of his team had been told, they sounded like quite the characters. He put his chin in his hands and thought to himself. An amnesiac girl who could only recall violence and pain. It did make a lot of her personality make sense in context. Regardless he wouldn't hold any of it against her. Each of them had their own struggles. He had his body issues, Asger had his sister trying to kill his team mate, and Reikka had a strange animal to try and take care of.
"We won't zhink of you any less, Auburn" Komaru began, beaming proudly at her. "I promised to help you with zee homework you had trouble with and zhis shall be our next step. You're very brave for exposing yurself to us like this. I'm zo proud of you." Maru hesitated but wrapped his arms around her in a gentle hug. Of course it might be awkward considering that a cute pink haired boy was hugging a person ten times as masculine as he was but beggers couldn't be choosers.
"Zince you don't 'ave a family of yur own, we shall be zhat family. Team CHAE shall always stand by you, Auburn. Now and forever."
Auburn looked over at Reikka as she voiced worry over the state of her hands. She'd looked skeptically over whatever it was that Reikka had handed her. She'd never really used medicine herself and had already wrapped her hands a bit so, she set it to the side. "Maybe when I changed the bandaging next."She honestly had not expected any of them to be as welcoming as they'd been, except for perhaps Asger. He seemed to at least be aware that the world was far more savage than it appeared. When Reikka said they wouldn't judge her and Maru complimented her bravery, she sighed.
"Reikka. It is not who I was but who I still am. I am so used to killing, my first instinct in dealing with an enemy, serious or not, is to end them as quickly as I can."She suddenly tensed as Maru hugged her, completely at odds with the gesture. When he mentioned being family, she stood up abruptly."Don't...Just...Don't...I'm not ready to trust that much."She wasn't ready to share that particular part of her tale yet, and she didn't think they'd be ready to hear about what happened to the only person she'd gotten close to in her life. That one event taught her to never hold anything dear. Fortunately, Reikka suggested getting food, though, seemed intent on taking Auburn at her word that there were dozens of dozens of cases like theirs. Still, Auburn welcomed the distraction.

Auburn didn't seem to be totally into his huge, which disappointed Maru a little but she could at least have a reasonable reason for it. How stupid could he be? Silently cursing himself, Maru released the girl from her hug and stepped back. "Zorry. This is just...I worry about you." He frowned.
At the mention of breakfast, it would be nice to get their minds off of things for a while. He stepped back away from the group and then moved down the hallway, before going into his room to get changed. Upon arrival Maru would close the door and lock it. Just to be safe. He rid himself of his clothing, a good 5 minutes process. During which he saw his actual appearance and visibly cringed. Such wide hips, such long hair. Feminine things everywhere. Just the usual embarrassment to men everywhere. he thought to himself and sat down after picking out an outfit. He didn't even want to look at his reflection, it was just too...uncomfortable. In a quick flash Komaru would slid on leggings, throw a comfortable sweater on, do a bit of make up and volia! All done!
He unlocked the door and stepped out, following Reikka and company outside for breakfast.
His swords clacked as he roamed through the halls trying to just calm himself down. He felt that there was way too many filthy humans in this place. He was shirtless with his top wrapped tonthe back. In his hands was a basket from the cafeteria that was loaded with chicken fingers. Munching on one, the ghost eyed demon faunus did not know he would soon be coming into contact with another one of his own kind.
He would turn down hall that held the entrance to team FRON. Of course, Rey did not know this or would care at all in regards. As he moved towarss the door, he would see someone was exiting. He didn't say anything but instead moved to side to try to around them. Only catching a glance, the person seemed strangely familiar. But why? It has no importance to him though.

Rammie held her can with upmost care. The can was the best part of the entire snack. Nibbie understood that. However, she wasn't expecting anyone to walk down the hallways towards her. She was surprised, and moved towards the wall, not realizing that she was near it. Her head clanged against the wall, and it brought her to her knees.
She looked towards the person who made her hit the wall. Her skin changing shape to look like patterns of fire, her teeth extending, her eyes turning red, as a horn made of blue aura appeared on her head. He had always been rude to them, and now he caused her pain. A growl would escape her throat. She would turn towards him. In her soft voice, she would spit with anger. "Such a rude demon." She wanted to move towards him, but she was frozen in pain. tab✿. tab𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧: # 0 15 posts made tab✿. tab𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: Entrance from Tem Forn dorm tab✿. tab𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗬: Rey tab✿. tab𝗢𝗢𝗖: tab✿. tab𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗘:Rammie
Hands quickly resting on the hilt of one of his many blades, he would look at the demon faunus with intrigue and curiosity. It was obvious she was upset but was she going to do anything? Was she going to try and retaliate physically in response to the situation? It was not like he knocked her down or anything. To be honest, it probably was not his fault. He can not control actions. At the same time, if he had pushed her down he still would feel like it was not his fault so there was not really any type of variety between the two. It was not coming together who she was. A passing face from the tour re-emerging into his presence. Was this fate? He swore it was not long ago he ran into the other half of the duo, Nibbie.
¨ And what are you going to do about it?¨ He asked in a monotone voice as the grip on the hilt tightened. He did not take offense to being called rude. It was normal. This was not the first time nor would it be the last time he would be called rude. ¨You injured yourself... this had nothing to do with me. If you watched where you going this wold never happen.¨ Rey added as he still waited. With his hand on the hilt, this meant he could not continue eating right? Wrong! He took a tender from the basket that was in his other hand by putting the basket to his mouth and gripping the tender with his teeth. Simple and easy. A gentle crunch releasing from his lips as he snacked on the juicy crispy strip.

Rammie was finally able to get up, her head still pounding. He asked her what she was going to do about it. She knew exactly what she would do. Her maid slippers gripped against the floor. "I'll teach you what they taught us. You are nothing alone!"
With that, she would drop Hedgie, and start sprinting forward, faster than a typical human. When she got within, 10 feet of him, she would throw the can at him, trying to use it as a disguise, as she lowered her head to try to ram him. Even if she missed, she would leave a dent in the wall. tab✿. tab𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧: # 0 16 posts made tab✿. tab𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: Entrance from Tem Forn dorm tab✿. tab𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗬: Rey tab✿. tab𝗢𝗢𝗖: tab✿. tab𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗘:Rammie
Nothing alone? Was she trying to say that being alone would get him no where? His path brought him to where he needed to be. It allowed him to survive. It allowed him to become the warrior he was today. Only the ignorant make such a statement. She decided she was going to put something into action. Heading towards him with great speed, she would use the can as a diversion for her real attack. Question was, what is a can to a kenjutsu specialist? What was this about to cost Rey? Probably his food. That did not matter as much now. Unsheathing his blade, a strike would occur cutting the can in half straight down the middle. Thanks to the size difference and the speed of the slash, Rey did not get too stained from the fruit as a few drops bounced onto his shirtless body. Fast he thought to himself acknowledging her speed.
It could not be helped. Could he have dodged? Maybe? Counter attack? Also maybe but considering the confined space and Rey´s intrigue of fighting he chose a different option. A gambit. Switching his blade to a reverse grip, he would send it to strike Rammie´s side less than a second later from her ramming into him. Luckily, he had high endurance so gambits like this was not as dangerous as it would to other people. Maybe the mines did something lovely for him. What would be the result of the gambit? On Rey? It was a good attack. It even almost knocked the air out of him. Hard a** Head
