Misa gazed at the bird Pokemon who had been waiting patiently by the girl’s side. It hadn’t said a thing nor did it move. It just watched the Fearow circle in the air, land, and then return to the air once more. The young lass looked back at Fearow as it came back to Misa with the area’s egg. ”Great work Fearow! Thank you so much! Now return till the next time we meet!” The bird gave a nod as it returned back into the ball. The other bird Pokemon didn’t miss a beat as it took the human into the air and off to their next location.

Dianna and Beep joined their trainer in his applause concluding Sebastian's battle, the boy grinning from ear-to-ear as if he'd been the one to beat Skyla. Well... technically he had, but that had been a few minutes ago! Now was Sebastian's turn, or had been -- and he was excited for him. "You did it!" he exclaimed, speeding away from the sidelines to ambush Sebastian in a hug. A bundle of giggles, he beamed up at the older man, "congratulations!" It took him a few seconds to realize that he was being far too familiar with the person he'd, technically, just met. "Oh, uhm, sorry."
Quickly correcting himself, Huey stepped back and brushed at his clothes, cheeks coloring from embarrassment. "You and your pokemon did great," he repeated, now from an appropriate distance. He'd actually never seen another trainer battle a gym leader before, and it was rather exhilarating to watch two seasoned trainers go at it. "And your Pichu was really strong! What was that move called, the one with all the electricity surrounding it?" he inquired. From behind him, Dianna approached and snorted to get her trainer's attention before she indicated towards Beep. It took Huey a moment to decipher his starter's message, but when he finally did the young boy's eyes light up in understanding. "Oh!" He turned back to Sebastian. "We should probably head to the Pokémon Center, huh?" he suggested, remembering that both their pokemon had taken substantial battle in their individual battles.

Sebastian let out a solid breath as the battle concluded, a shaky smile crossing his face as Skyla approached to hand him his winnings. He maintained his façade as she praised the battle and made…. Flying puns in regards to him going on and continuing to do great things. "Ah… t-thanks." He remarked, tucking away his winnings absently in his bag and recalling his pokemon. His team would need some healing and solid rest after that … he was thankful though that they had gotten through it.
The ambush hug by Huey certainly knocked Sebastian from his concerned thoughts, nearly causing the man to lose his footing. Sebastian caught himself though and blinked in surprise, a grin crossing his face as he gave an honestly amused chuckle. "Ah ha ha… thanks Huey! I appreciate it." He remarked, giving the boy a gentle pat on the head to let him know it was alright. He certainly hadn’t expected the hug but it sent a wave of nostalgia through him, reminding him of his brother. It was … nice to remember honestly.
"Aw well shucks… he certainly did better than I thought he would." Sebastian commented, rubbing behind his ear sheepishly. He wasn’t expecting nor use to so much praise especially when he was feeling a bit the opposite, but he certainly didn’t want to go and put a damper on the excitement. At the question he paused, frowning a bit to try and recall.
"Do you mean Volt Tackle?" That was what it was called right? He couldn’t actually recall the difference between it and thunderbolt to be honest. He started fishing out his pokedex just to make sure, looking up as Huey spoke again about heading to the pokemon center. "Ah yeah! Definitely, my team could really use it." He replied, tugging out his pokedex while they started to walk. He retrieved Bluff from Spade’s back, the Igglybuff happy to be returned to his grasp and snuggling against him as though they’d been separated for years on end. Spade just twitched and watched the pokemon wearily as they headed out the gym and down to the pokemon center.
"Ah yes! It was Volt Tackle. Tough move, but it can hurt in the end." Sebastian offered the pokedex entry with Snaps’ information to Huey to view, pulling off his pokeballs and handing them over to the Nurse Joy before stepping aside to allow the young boy to do the say. "It certainly helped a lot." Sebastian went quiet a moment in thought, looking back at Huey curiously. "So Huey, what will you be doing now? Start training for the next gym?"

Relieved that Sebastian wasn't too thrown off by his impromptu hug, Huey laughed. "I bet with even more training, he could take on an entire gym," he optimized. Well, that might've been a stretch -- unless Sebastian was going to take on one of the other regions' lower gyms. Still though, the boy figured his point came across: more training meant that the Pichu would get stronger. Though, that was obvious.
"Uhm, maybe?" Huey responded with a shrug, unsure of the move's name. He hadn't seen it before Sebastian's battle, and found that it was impressive, both visually and in battle. He nodded then ushered Dianna and Beep back to the gym's entrance, careful not to be blown away by the fans on his way back. Where did people get fans that large? And why were they even created in that size? Was it just for the sole purpose of giving trainers in Skyla's gym a hard time? These questions circled Huey's mind as he threw open the gym's door and stepped back outside, pausing just long enough to gather his bearings before he headed for the Pokémon Center.
The blonde looked up at Sebastian, only to readjust his gaze onto his pokedex as he gave him the chance to read the entry he had on his pokemon. "Oooh, Volt Tackle. It even has a cool name," he remarked, though took into consideration what the other train said about taking damage from the move. Once inside the red-roofed building, Huey had Beep return to his pokeball before handing him, and Yuki, over to Nurse Joy. "Uhm, I don't know," Huey admitted, taking to leaning against the counter. "I've sorta been training non-stop ever since I got back from the fair, and that was a while ago. So, I might take a break for a bit. I think my pokemon and I could use it."
"Excuse me, gentleman." Huey looked back up as Nurse Joy returned, balancing their various pokeballs on two different trays. She handed the one in her left hand to Huey. "I didn't mean to ease drop, but if you're looking for something to do, might I suggest participating in the Egg Hunt?" The boy reached up to take his pokeballs, giving a nod of thanks and then clipping the capsules to his belt. "Egg Hunt?" The pink-haired nurse nodded, and after handing Sebastian his pokeballs she stepped back from the counter to grab two flyers, handing one to both trainers. "Yes. Some time has passed, but there's an egg hunt being held throughout all the regions. That flyer I gave you has the location of each egg, and when you collect enough you can trade them in for prizes," Nurse Joy explained, characteristic smile on display.
Huey hummed as he read over the flyer, eyes glowing with excitement. That... sounded cool! It'd been a while since he'd participated in an egg hunt! Not to mention, he could actually get prizes! "Maybe I'll do this!" he informed excitedly, waving the flyer about.

Sebastian chuckled at the thought; Snaps probably could become powerful enough for something like that. Really any of his pokemon, or any pokemon for that matter, could probably end up that way if they had enough motivation. It was something to aspire too, wasn’t it? The older man grinned again as Huey was informed on the name of the move his Pichu had used, calling it ‘cool’. "I guess it is a cool name, huh?" He mused, eyeing his pokedex a moment longer before finally tucking it away.
The older man listened curiously as Huey answered his question, admitting he wasn’t certain on his next course of action, head nodding absently along. Yes, he supposed non-stop training could be exhausting though he could certainly stand to train some more. "Yeah… that sounds like a good idea; taking a break and all." Sebastian tapped under his chin; what was he going to do? Could he afford a break?
Sebastian perked up as Nurse Joy interjected, offering a tray with his pokeballs. "Oh?" He remarked, rather surprised. An egg hunt? That sounded, sort of interesting. Taking his pokeballs, he reattached them to his belt, listening carefully as the nurse explained the event further, taking the offered flyer and looking it over. It seemed like a simple event, but it’d take him across the regions and stuff. And well… who didn’t like prizes?
He smiled a little at Huey’s excitement, chuckling and ruffling the paper in between his own hands as he mulled over whether to participate or not. "It’d be a great break, that’s for sure. Definitely a way to let your pokemon have a fun rest." He remarked, eyeing the flyer again in thought. "You should definitely give it a go Huey, I bet you’re a master at scavenger hunts."

Ashley took a seat at a nearby bench as they passed it, allowing Genevieve to continue by herself. The Eevee was perfectly all right with that; she liked the amount of freedom her trainer seemed to allot her; it was something she was used to. She’d often be on her own before being caught and well, this wasn’t much different except that someone expected her back. And given that he’d managed to catch her, she’d be returning as intended.

Which probably seemed odd in some ways but she didn’t much care. There was a level of… respect she had for her new trainer? Not that she’d gotten to know him all that well, but something about his demeanor sat right with her. On top of that, he allowed her to oversee this scavenger hunt pretty much; she was aware that the Braxien (Bastien was it?) was supposed to be the one looking but apparently, he wasn’t very good. She’d tried to show him a while back, but he seemed rather miffed at being replaced.

His loss really. It wasn’t that the hunt was hard; it was just a matter of knowing where to look. Humans were odd little creatures and if there was anything she’d learned, it was that if they were hiding things out in the open, then they weren’t going to do a good job of hiding them. Which was just proven as she recovered another hidden egg. Clamping it firmly in her mouth, she quickly trotted back to Ashley, earning praise from the man once more as he took the little trinket and tucked it away. They had many of those eggs now; Genevieve wondered how many more they had to go. For now, it seemed the hunt was still on as their flight appeared to take them to the next area.

Huey beamed, "I think so too! And, it'd be a good way to visit the regions. I've never been to Sinnoh or Kanto before," he admitted, and then peered back down at the flyer. "Or Alola, I hadn't even heard about it before." With an embarrassed laugh, he shook his head gently. "I don't know about being a master, but... I'm okay at them!" he insisted. "I imagine you'd be much better than me, Sebastian. You should think about doing it too!"
His next course of action decided, the boy turned to show Dianna when the Emboar grunted; she had a discovery of her own to present. The younger trainer blinked and tilted his head to the side as he looked at the bright plastic egg, held carefully in his partner's hand. "Where did you get that, Dianna?" he inquired, and when she pointed over to a nearby bench he instinctively turned his head to look in that direction. "Oh..." His question answered, Huey gently took the egg before presenting it to Nurse Joy. "Is this one of the eggs?" he asked, and then watched as the pinkette's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh dear, I would have thought they'd hidden that better..." she murmured to herself. To Huey, she nodded gently and seconds later her smile returned, "yes, it is! Congratulations, now you only have 49 more eggs to go!" she exclaimed.
While he was sure her words were meant to be motivational, Huey couldn't help but to deflate a bit at hearing just how many eggs there were left. "Oh wow... that's a lot of eggs." Nurse Joy, sensing this, waved her hands quickly, "I know fifty eggs is quite a lot, but I believe you and your friend both have what it takes to complete this," she encouraged. "The flyer tells you what city you can find each egg in, and if you have at least three badges we'll let you borrow a Ride Pager for swifter movement." Now that piqued Huey's interest, and with a curious look burning in his gaze he reached back to pull out his badge case to present to the nurse. "I have six badges. What's a Ride Pager?"
Nurse Joy laughed gently, but did take the time to look through the blonde's collection of badges. "A Ride Pager allows you to call any of our service pokemon to fly you to any chosen destination, the pokemon varies but they're all in great shape and guaranteed to get you where you need to go in a timely manner," she explained, and with Huey's interest hinting towards desire, she pulled said device from underneath the counter and handed it over to Huey. He took it, examined it carefully, and then with a nod of thanks to Nurse Joy he turned his attention to Sebastian. "Uhm, I'm going to go ahead now," he informed him. "Thank you a lot for tagging along with me up until now. I know a lot of adults don't like it when kids hang around them. I hope you and your pokemon continue to do well, in both battles and contests!" He was a bit... sad to leave Sebastian, most likely because he and Jay had been the first two humans he'd been in contact with since his departure from the faire.
Situating Sebastian with a smile, Huey pushed his reluctance to the side and waved to the other male before he turned away to leave. It wasn't like he wouldn't see him again, they had traded numbers after all! Once outside, and with a little fiddling, Huey managed to request a pokemon to pick him up; technology certainly was advancing... There was a wait time of about two minutes, and in that time Huey returned Dianna to her pokeball, with her permission, and slipped his first egg away into his bag. By the time he finished this a Staraptor, suited a egg decorated saddle, landed, a minute earlier than the device's estimate. "Oh, hello there!" Huey greeted the pokemon with a shy smile, then carefully approached the pokemon.
Unsure of how to actually go about it, he spent a few seconds simply staring at the bird before he threw one leg over it and sat himself down, careful not to add his full weight. The Staraptor let loose the bird version of a sigh before shaking itself, unbalancing Huey and forcing him to sit down properly. "Sorry..." he muttered. Huey swallowed, "uhm, the first place we should probably go to is Dragonspiral Tower," he suggested. Several moments of silence passed before, with a great cry, the Staraptor extended its wings out and with a few mighty flaps took to the sky.

Sebastian tilted his head some, still looking over the flyer as Nurse Joy continued to explain. He glanced back as Huey addressed his pokemon, blinking in surprise at the fact that the Embroar had apparently already located an egg in the area. Well, that was certainly quality hiding going on right there.
"Well then," he chuckled a little as the pink-haired nurse remarked that they really needed to hide them better. He didn’t want to chime in on the find though and just let Huey soak in the joy from finding it; the deflating from the fact that there were fifty eggs in total to find. Ouch, now… that was quite a lot. He wasn’t entirely certain he was keen on tracking down so many eggs, especially if it required flying all over the regions. It was definitely something he could see a young child like Huey enjoying but well… he was old. Clearly. The rider pager sounded interesting though and he grabbed one for himself; he could use the ride for the time being.
Once all that was said and done, Huey wished his goodbyes to him, clearly intent on giving this egg hunt thing a go; not that Sebastian could blame him. The man smiled, raising a hand, and giving a little wave. "Not a problem Huey, thanks for guiding me to the right place!" He remarked, allowing his hand to drop back to his side. "You enjoy your hunt; maybe I’ll join a little later and we’ll cross paths again. You and your pokemon take care too!0" With that he watched the young man head off to begin his hunt, deciding to take a seat of his own and figure out his own next course of action.
Really, the chatter about competing champions and such with Huey had reminded him that he was still on a badge quest and getting the last one here reminded him of his progress in Johto. That was originally where he’d started and he was wondering if he could get a few more there now… or even finish. A little research and he found that the next gym was a steel type… he could probably take it.
Right then, he’d give it a go! There was nothing to be lost if he couldn’t; they’d just need more training. Gathering up his team and returning them for the time being (even Bluff who seemed surprisingly distressed over this) he stepped outside and pulled out the rider pager he’d borrowed. It wasn’t long until a Swellow appeared with a saddle on its back; clearly the designated ride. He smiled and patted the bird gently before climbing up. He was lucky the bird was rather oversize, he was certain they were usually much smaller which would’ve made the ride kind of awkward. Soon he was directing it to Olivine City and the pokemon agreed, lifting off and heading for the region.

Even though Scarlett was no longer in the desert, she was temped to keep her cloak and goggles on as she entered Mistralton as some form of concealment in case she ran into Skye, or saw him around, but that was.... Stupid. Scarlett sighed as she landed, releasing Vandal and reluctantly removing her desert gear while Vandal stretched. "I... Need you to take this one far me. I'm gonna go to the pokemon center. Just let me know when ya find the egg." Scarlett insisted, avoiding Vandal's quizzical gaze. "Well I'm starvin'. If you're gonna make me go this alone, ya can at least feed me first doll." Vandal gave a lazy smirk, his arms resting behind his head. Scarlett tensed at his words however. "What did ya call me?" Vandal quirked a brow. "Doll? Y'know... Dollface?" Scarlett narrowed her eyes. "Don't call me that." Vandal motioned for Scarlett to calm down. "Relax, it's a compliment. Thought ya was supposed to be the linguistics expert here.""I know what it means ya feckin' bollux!" Scarlett hissed. There was only one person that was allowed to sweet talk her with those nicknames, and that was--
"Skye..." Scarlett breathed, meeting eyes with her old friend, who was now staring at them both a little ways behind Vandal. How she wished now that she'd followed her instincts and kept her desert gear on. It was a bit late for that now she supposed. Vandal turned to look in the direction Scarlett was staring, seeing the man approaching them and sensing that it was his cue to leave. "Ah... Right. I'll just.... Look for that egg then yeah?" He offered quietly, making his way further into the city without waiting for a response. Skye tore his gaze away from Scarlett and said something to the pilot he'd been conversing with earlier before they parted ways, his friend climbing into the plane they were standing beside, while Skye hesitated to approach Scarlett. Eventually though, he did make his way over, saying nothing as he closed the distance between them.

Scarlett eyed Skye warily. "I s'pose 'long time no see' is an understatement, yeah?" She offered quietly. "Somethin' like that. I'm used to it though." Skye suggested with a shrug, crossing his arms. "You know me. One day here, next day....""Yeah. Day. Days, weeks, months..... Maybe a year or five, but hey... Who's counting, right?" Scarlett winced, and Skye immediately regretted his choice of words. "Sorry... I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that..." He sighed, running his fingers through his hair, but Scarlett shook her head. She knew he wasn't trying to hurt her, rather he was hurt by her actions. They were practically family, but that was precisely why she distanced herself. Skye shifted a bit in stance. "So... Who's your... Friend?" He asked, straining to be amicable about the question. "He ain't a friend, he's a menace." Scarlett rolled her eyes. "Really...?" Skye looked a little too pleased at the news. "He's also my zoroark." Scarlett explained further. "Even better." Skye suggested with a grin, and Scarlett chuckled. "Green in't yare color Skye, try and avoid it in the future.""I'll keep that in mind when you're away doing Arceus knows what with Arceus knows who." Skye muttered bitterly. "Good, cause it's nunya."

Beating gyms, you know. Trainer stuff." She suggested with a coy grin. "Yeah, like I'll believe that rubbish." Skye joked, nudging Scarlett playfully. "You're here for another favor aren't ya? Seems to be the only time ya seek me out." He said it in good humor, but there was pain in his eyes. "Honest Skye, I was just in the neighborhood..." Scarlett promised. "Don't need no favors. Just... Maybe that coffee ya wanted." She offered quietly. "Thought you was a whisky sorta gal?" Skye asked, quirking a brow, and Scarlett chuckled. "I am. Ever heard of Irish Coffee?" She suggested with a grin. "Heh, I have. I think I'll stick with my sober caffeine though.""Aw, ya're no fun." Scarlett teased. "Yup, stick in the mud, tha's me. Come on." He chuckled, directing her to a nearby cafe, though he paused as they approached. "Ya've got yer makeup off." He commented, brushing back some of her red curls. "Yeah yeah. A gal can have a lazy day can't she?" Scarlett defended. "No... I mean, yeah, she can but, what I mean is... I'm glad. Never get to see yer cute freckles when ya cake that stuff on." He suggested. "Shut up..." Scarlett grumbled, feeling the tips of her ears starting to burn as she shoved past a laughing Skye.
