There just beyond his range of sight he was coming to it. The signal pulsed in his mind as the distances closed. The false Gamma would die, there were only ten of the third generations and any extras were blights that need be expunged from existance. With that he crossed the border.

The Jeep rumbled in from the direction of the lake. Standers by gave the heavily armed group odd looks as they passed. Jacknife had to slow down, the speed limit may be enforced in this area, better to not have to deal with the coppers.

Nascen was unbuckled now, sitting in a back seat and leaning out over the side to get some look ahead of them, his fingers drumming anxiously with one hand while the other held his gun at the ready.
He sighed, but resumed the tune with renewed energy as they pulled further into the town, heading for the fountain where they'd been told the Viceroy would be.

Irzael spotted the North Gate and patted Geylkre's neck, "Just a little bit further." The bird nodded and descended a bit.

The bird sped over the gate and into Barton. They would soon reach the fountain...and hopefully the 'Viceroy' would be there, too.

Shouyin pressed down on the brake gently, slowing down as he entered the residential area. However, it seemed unneccessary, since the park swings were empty, swaying eerily in the ghost town that northern Barton had seemed to become. He might've investigated further, but his eyes were drawn towards a group of signs pointing the way west and towards Durem, rather than to the explosions in the sky.
So come and dance with me Michael. ~

Head bobbing a lil', on pressed our hero, unabated by Laz's light snoring or the unsettling surroundings the empty parks presented. The weather seemed a little overcast, but his eyes were probably just playing tricks. It was the end of the world after all, and chaos was reigning all high and mighty-like now.
Anything was possible. ~

Rushing along through the North Gate area Gammu saw Gamma coming up. "Come on you lazy a**. Can't believe you just hung there for so long, you didn't even do much." Shouting curses as he rushed he ejected the thermite cannister and loaded up on the last one. "At least they have to persue us on foot."

"Yeah yeah." Gamma said, running forward without looking. Just gauging the general direction by where his brother was. He had fished something out of the pack, a small box, and was trying to get the damned thing open. they were heading north. Back to the lake.

Blackbird claw, raven wing, Under the red sunlight. Long clothesline, two shirt sleeves, Waving as we go by.
A couple was walking along underneath the falling ash and snow.

Hundred years, hundred more, Someday we may see a Woman king, wristwatch time Slowing as she goes to sleep.
They stopped, relishing this moment's peace; there might've been a kiss.
Shouyin missed Ray.

Your form which returns gently to heaven What else can I do, besides avenge you? I watched it for the longest time, until my tears dried up. Sliding along the ground, he came to a halt, lips thrown open. And the sorrow overflowing from the scar which can't be erased, I swore that I would never forget it. Time seemed to stretch out, in that single second, yellowed eyes staring up, before his body went forward the rest of the way. I'll flap my broken wings and erase it all some day, you'll see, Until the last bell ringing the dirge completes. A loud splash rippled the water's surface, even as his body fell in. arms spread open, feet apart, he stared. Bubbles of air left his nostrils, even as he continued descending to the bottom of the lake.
you told me: live as if you were to die tomorrow feel as if you were to be reborn now face as if you were to live forever Yellowed eyes widened even as lips formed soundless words. His right hand, badly scarred and nothing but raw flesh along the palm touched the bottom of the lake. Blood seeped out, staining the water all around him, even as his body came to rest. Bright red tears traced by a trembling finger, I had nothing to lose, nothing to lose It crashes through the dark memories. Drifting in and out of thought, he felt the last of his oxygen leaving his lungs, the burning feeling soon to overwhelm his body; drowning him. The last smile wavered, and disappears, And the warmth is all that's left. A hand touched upon his left shoulder, fleeting was the feeling yet there it was. A pair of sun colored eyes stared out, even as soft lips pressed against his earlobe. Even in the depths, the smell of cinnamon was overpowering. Your kind and gentle words can't heal me now, This body's only dedicated to the never ending fight. His fingers dug into the lake's bottom, before his arm pushed back. His body spun away from the gravel and bedstone, mouth thrown open as he chocked on the water.
Because everyone returns to heaven, some day, You'll never need to say goodbye. The ragged ends of his mantle splayed out, creating a creeping shadow behind his figure, even as he kicked his way to the surface. Break out! The water's surface broke, even as his right arm speared upwards, his head following soon after. He coughed feverishly, even as he floated along. I'll flap my broken wings and erase it all some day, you'll see, Until the last bell ringing the dirge completes. He remained there, floating on his back, legs and arms submerged. His chest rose and fell with each breath, the scars on his body a sharp contrast to the water's blue surface.
Your kind and gentle words can't heal me now, This body's only dedicated to the never ending fight. He raised his right arm skyward; spreading apart the fingers. Framing the faint outline of the moon, he stared... before firmly snapping it into a fist. REDEMPTION...REDEMPTION...

Crouched atop the high wall of Barton's North Gate, Vahn stared towards Baa'sken Lake.
"......."
Quite some time had passed since his break, and the time he took to hastily patch himself up. Turning his head to the left slightly, he stared behind him.
It didn't feel right just leaving the place in such dissaray, but time was of the essence at the moment. The remants of his mantle, held in by leather buckles along the front, fluttered behind him, giving the allusion that he had broken wings spread out behind him.
Close to his right breast, and pinned along the inside of his mantle, was the rose he had received for defeating the pink lady.
That coin of virtue was in his back pocket, and his left bicep had the strange band around it. Efreet was chained about his waist and sheathed; his right hand wrapped in shreds of his jeans pants leg.
Without another thought, Vahn pushed off the wall and dropped to the other side.

Kit had the strange feeling about having a fight to the death at the temple passing through the gate.
Meh, like that happens everyday.

Nascen was still hobbling. All alone and lonesome, but he didn't let that get him down, still wheezing laughter through his beat-up form, now walking with the assistance of his short staff. Maybe it was sad that he'd gotten himself beaten down by just a couple of explosions after all this, but it didn't help that the lengthy tension, and multiple PIS all had tired him out fairly greatly; he never thought about that sort of magic stuff wearing him down as he could harldy do a bit with it, but the pulse impact shots did drain him a tad, and while they weren't something to tire him out, piled ontop of everything else what decent amount he was drained by larger number, and of stronger ones, like that was enough to add some serious insult to his injury.
Fiddling around in his somewhat burnt and very dirty backpack, he picked out his one perfectly clean article of clothing, flourishing it, and setting it upon his noggin.
Come down to it, he was pretty glad he'd given his beret a nice hiding spot before all this had come up.
