"I was born there." Tala replied bluntly, having been taught no different - memories or not, as far as he knew, he was created by the Elder Tree and that is how he came into being...

Tala had also never had any need to trust anyone. He'd had to survive alone for almost the entirety of his life. Sure, the Netherbeast were there, but they remained within the clearing solely to protect the Elder Tree...

It was at that moment however that he dropped his eyes... he hadn't given Sune much thought, but now he'd started to remember it, he realised how much he missed the place...

Scenes the Mage had been unable to see were those personal to Tala... When the sprites had emerged just before dusk and the forest had started to whisper, almost singing as the little multicoloured orbs drifted around the clearing, illuminating all they passed with a soft light...

"Honest or not, I've realised where I want to be." he continued out of the door, walking over to Meta and stroking the Horzun's face before shouldering his backpack.

Rosa watched Tala, moving after him waving to the mage giving a small bow. "Thank you sir mage. We will repay you in anyway we can for you allowing us to use your home to rest in." Rosa said moving over to Meta and placed her pack on Meta as well before looking to Tala, softly stroking the Horzun's back. "So where are we going now? Where is it you want to be at?" She asked confused and curious to what he was planning.

The mage watched silently, nodding to them as he watched Rosa move to mount Meta. The Horzun knelled down for her as she got on. Meta stayed low so Tala could get on as well, snorting, watching him, meeting his eyes as if daring him to try and abandon her. Horzun race was smart and this one had came to believe Rosa was Tala's mate and felt honor was to never abandon ones mate, even if death would result in not leaving ones mate.

"I'm going home." That was Tala's only reply...

He mounted the Horzun after Rosa, then cast a glance back towards the Mage, almost daring him to try and stop or even follow them...

Flicking the reins he gave Meta the order to move off...

(thats fine -hugs-)

The mage stepped out watching him as Meta began to walk. "When you do return home please go north, keep going north till you exit Sune. There will be some ruins. I'm going to visit a friend. Oh yes, here, though may mean nothing since you seem lost to your own memories of so long ago." He said walking over and held out a blue and silver orb that held a beautiful red ruby in the center of it. On top it seemed to have lost its chain.

"Hm? What's that?" Rosa asked curiously, looking over Tala's shoulder to see what the mage was giving him.

"You'll wish to keep it. Look inside whenever you want. It's something your mother used to own or the woman you have yet to remember. I know you may not believe what you see but I did make a promise to her before her passing so I intend to keep it. Once you are away from here do with it as you wish, that is your choice Tala. If I could control you or get through to you the way Caran had done then it'd be much easier." The mage said chuckling as he watched Tala, Meta having stopped and watched calmly.

Tala took in the man's words about heading North, but didn't show that he'd been listening... He took the orb without a word, turning it over in his hands for a moment before putting it into the pouch on his belt... He would allow the Princess to examine it once he'd had a good look himself...

"How do you know about the Mage?" Although Tala had been told the man had scoured his memories, he narrowed his eyes as the Mage chuckled... "...It doesn't matter." frowning, he flicked the reins again, hoping Meta would move off.

(sorry for short post ><)

The mage chuckled. "Oh call it old acquaintances or rivals from school years." The mage answered just as Meta took off, racing towards Sune. The mage watched, chuckling and shook his head before going back inside.

Rosa held onto Tala as they went, looking to the back of his head. "What is Sune like?" She asked, having not been there or read much if anything on the area and was curious to what it was like as Meta ran a steady speed.

"Sune is home." Tala replied, divulging little as they sped away from the Mage... He was intrigued that the man had said he and Caran were old acquaintances from times past, but Tala had felt that if he'd lingered, he'd be dragged into something which he couldn't turn down...

They travelled North like the Mage had advised, a mountain range soon appearing on the horizon.

This range seemed to split in the middle, giving way to a pass, and in the distance Tala could see a glinting reflection - that meant there had to be a lake or some expanse of water there...

"If we get there quick enough, then we'll rest by the water before moving onwards."

(aw thanks -hugs-)

Rosa watched him then looked ahead as Meta would slow down and she seen the reflection. She nodded softly, still holding onto Tala. "Oh, it seems nice enough so far if we're near or here. Do you think that mage was being honest Tala?" She asked curiously as Meta continued but now was still going quick but at a more steady pace as if taking his sweet time towards the reflection that seemed to be a lake. The Horzun looked around, keeping watch for anything out of the ordinary as it continued with its two riders, going to protect the two he considered to be mates to one another, listening to the talk.

"I have no need to trust him." Tala kept his eyes on his surroundings as they slowed their speed. He hadn't approved of the man's actions, what with being attacked, having his dagger stolen and being forcefully restrained by the man's element...

What had confused him was the little gift that the Mage had given him before they left...

Tala would keep them moving until they were near the base of the pass - still close to the lake, then he would dismount before starting to set things up for making camp.

He approached the lake and set up a few lures before turning back to face Rosa, then he would take some of the firewood they had kept before setting up a fire...

Rosa nodded, gently dismounting as Meta stopped and knelled down for her to dismount. She took out the blankets for them both. Stepping over to the lake she would kneel down, looking down to the nets for any fish, seeing a few had been caught in one of the traps. Looking the net over she grabbed it, working it carefully from it's holding spot and pulled it up and began to walk over to Tala and the fire, the net having about six fish inside it. "Hey, we have some fish." Rosa said setting the net down, her noise crinkled some from the smell of the fish, not used to it so was new to her, her face would look funny as she tried to smile but yet also was clearly disliking the smell.

She looked around some as the wind blew and she sighed. "I wonder if things will be quiet for a while even if its a short while for us to relax." She said gently, curiosity in her voice and in her eyes as she looked at Tala again.

"Hmm..." Tala didn't really acknowledge her when she said about the fish, nor did he give her a real answer when she asked about things being quiet... he was more than a little engrossed in the orb the Mage had given him and had sat down infront a log he'd found, silently turning the trinket between his fingers...

It was after a moment that he reached into the pouch on his belt and pulled out a piece of rabbit hide which he'd kept and dried after a previous hunt... Getting comfortable again he took out one of his daggers and cut a long strip before sliding the hide-lace through the hole where the chain would have been...

"We have fish?" he tied the hide-lace and slid it round his neck before lifting his eyes, "How many?" It would no doubt be clear that he'd been too preoccupied with the orb to have heard Rosa the first time...

He rose to his feet, dusting off his pants before approaching her, "Do you want me to deal with them?" he looked up at her quietly...

Rosa watched quietly, curious about the orb as well, wondering what was inside of it and why the mage had given it to Tala as well. She looked to him and nodded holding the net out to him. "Yes please. I don't think I could ever take care of fish to be able to cook them." She admitted blushing a little as a soft wind blew softly, moving playing with strains of Rosa's hair. Rosa giggled softly as the wind did this before looking at the sky that had darkened and allowed the thousands of stars to be seen. Staring she gasped stepping to the open area away from the fire a few steps before stepping in a circle slowly as she stared at the sky.

"Isn't it amazing? They sky is so much different here than in the Ice Lands. The sky in the Ice Lands have stars but they aren't in these patterns like they are here." She said gently, astonished as she stared at the sky before yelping and giggled as she hit the ground falling into the soft grassy place and sighed. She had closed her eyes then reopened them to stare at the sky once more, smiling, loving how beautiful the stars looked and wondered if the sky looked different in all the different area's of the world at night.

Tala cut and cleaned the fish, giving the pieces they couldn't eat to Meta before setting the more delectable pieces on stakes by the fire;

Hearing her sheer enjoyment at her surroundings Tala lifted his gaze skyward, they were more pronounced here, but to him they were just stars and he couldn't really see what had her so excited... He didn't feel the need to burst her 'happy-bubble' however and returned his attention to stoking the embers.

She seemed to lie there for some time, just looking up at the stars and this left Tala wondering if there really was anything more to them...

The fish seemed to have cooked well by now, so he set them aside before making his way over to the Princess. Without a word he sat down on the grass a short distance away, then lay back looking up at the sky...

(sorry for shortness ><)

Rosa was smiling staring at the sky before she'd move her eyes and head some to watch Tala, giggling then looked back to the stars as he laid down. "Isn't it lovely? It's different than in the Ice Lands. The stars shine there but somehow these are different from there. These seem to shine brighter and be in different orders and patterns. What do you think? Do they look the same to you or do they look different?" Rosa asked softly curiously, curiosity in her gentle kind voice.

"Stars are stars..." Tala replied quietly, still not seeing why she was so excited over their brightness... "They're bright...but what's so..." he was going to ask what was so special about them...but breathed a sigh, his gaze suddenly falling upon a brief streak of light which disappeared almost as soon as it had appeared... He'd never seen such a thing before and was so intrigued he sat up...

"What was that?" he glanced across at Rosa, "A Demon?" ...No, it was too bright...
