MegaTherion777 COB is NOT black metal!!! COB is overrated thrash. LoG is metalcore. as for hair bands...no they aren't metal. but rather than classifying them by how they dress (hair, glam rock, etc) why dont we classify them by what their songs are about? most hair bands sing about sex, so why not call em "c**k rock?" Hair bands are also called, 80's rock, remember? XD But I like c**k Rock as well. :3 But as for COB, they're actually power. >.>; We had a rather lengthy debate in the guild a while back...

azeil_death yea.... not good with abreviations. Im not even sure what pwms means sweatdrop New wave of british heavy metal Pwns isn't an abreviation, it's just owns, but it's typoed on purpose. :3

I agree with you on that speed = a type of thrash comment. And I'd say they play speed metal. They are not power, due to the lack of clean/high pitched vocals. Anyways, they suck, big time.

I agree with you on that speed = a type of thrash comment. And I'd say they play speed metal. They are not power, due to the lack of clean/high pitched vocals. Anyways, they suck, big time. What you forget, my friend is that metal is not catagorized by vocals. :3 It does have a bit of say so, but not enough to count something out. It does have keyboarding, epic solos and themes. :3 Which = Power. 3nodding Ask any mod and they'll tell you the same.

I guess you can say that by their latest two albums but what about their first album? because they use electronic elements, such as sequences and scratching Oh ok. I see. Actually you can use electronic elements [industrial metal comes to mind] in metal, it's actually their lack of complexity in instrumentals that makes them nu. :3 I can see that. They aren't that complex.

Paradise Lost would be pop and Grave Digger should be categorized in a new genre all for its own, etc
