Yay, and my sentiments are likewise, Oni.

Is it possible to get a bit more from him/her? Because I'm a bit on the line because of the maturity factor too.

New essay!

golden_asuka
Ok, I requested to join your guild, so here is the essay that is required of me:

The Age Limit for Sex

Imagine walking in your little brother or sister, only 12 or 13 years old, to tell them you're leaving the house for a while and that you'll be back a little later. What was intended to be an innocent reminder turns into a horrible memory implanted in your brain. What you discover behind the door, you know will haunt you forever...

Teen sex is something I, personally, do not beleive in, for several specific reasons:

First of all, it goes against my religion, and I would rather not do that.

Second of all, teen sex leads to teen pregnancy; something that I beleive we, as adolescents are not ready for. Having a baby means that you must be emotionally ready to deal with the problems that it may bring up, physically ready for the all-nighters you may have to take care of that baby, and financially ready to take care of it. I know and/or have met very few teenagers that have met all the requirements.

Thirdly, a lot of young adults are not ready to give up their social life for the children they have brought into the world, a lot of times incidentally. I have seen it happen for myself to people that even I thought were ready to take care of children. More often times than not, the kids end up being neglected through the first few years of their life, and some even end up in the hands of the Child Protection Services. In my own opinion, I think that abortion is cruel and unjust, so I believe that if you are responsible enough to get pregnant, or to get someone pregnant, then you are responsible enough to take care of that baby, or give it a good home through adoption.

I think that no one is ready for sex until they are married, but the age limit I suggest is 17, because by that time, you will be, most likely, nearly out of high school in the event that you do get pregnant, and one of the only consequences you may not have is the option of college.

Many teens today think that they are ready to have sex at ages as early as 13, and some kids even lose their virginity at the age of 12, which mortifies me. If they use protection, and they think that they are ready for it, then more power to them; I hope that they know what they are getting into and of the chance of getting pregnant is still there. Even with protection, no method contraception is 100% accurate.

But as for me and mine, I will wait until I finish college and begin getting my life on track to have sexual intercourse.

I think it overlooks a few things, but it's still yay-worthy. I'd have some things to debate with it, if given a choice.

New Recruit!

Vladimir_Lenin

On Pornography Addiction:

Pornography is in my opinion an addictive substance. Pornography is, in my opinion, an addictive act. Like anything else considered addictive, masterbation creates a pleasure-endorphine loop. Positive feed-back on what the body begins to beleive is "good" behavior. This causes a person psychologically, and at times physically, to require such an action. Not only is the action backed by a biological release of the body's "happy-drug"; but also, as with all controlled substances, the action itself provides a pleasing feeling, in this case the orgasm. This becomes something that can enslave someone pathologically, and should be treated like anyother highly addictive intoxicant. Becoming addicted is most-likely that person's fault alone and as anyother addictive substance should, and I believe does, have recovery/support groups.

Pornography is an addicitve substance in that it is essencially the paraphellia for the action of masterbation. It, or something equally as sexually envoking, is required for the act of masterbation. This is the equivallent to a spoon, lighter and syringe for heroin; or a bong and lighter for pot. Though this is not to say that pornography or the consumers of pornography are immoral or flawed in any fashion! Porn does have its place in the world, but should, like alcohol, be used in a responcible and sensible manner to prevent reliance.

While I don't thihk porn is as bad as any drug out there, he does raise some good points. I'd give him a yay.

Hey, here's My Robot's submission:

Your Robot

Hello, you requested that I do your interview for candidacy, so here I am.

Please give me your opinion about what you think about sex education is for and why.
(Some stuff to consider)-> How might it be changed? How might it be improved? What kind of sex ed did you encounter and what did you benefit from?

I think sex education is there for the purpose of providing knowledge of sexual activites and its effects to students. A lot of the time students focus on sex itself and not what can come as a result. Sex education comes in to provide answers and persuede opinions.

I think sex education can be improved by selecting the teachers better. There are the teachers that shove guilt down your throat by saying that abstinence is the only way, and there are the teachers that better fit the class by encouraging usage of protection and birth control. Though the schools may not fully approve of having a teacher that says sex is okay as long as you're responsible about it, they are the better choice for the benefit of the student.

When I was in the 7th grade, my health teacher was also my sex education teacher. She told us all to practice abstinence and that that would be the only way to keep ourselves safe. She also told us that if anything had entered the v****a, we were no longer a virgin. [Everything besides a tampon and a doctor.] Then, after staring at us all individually, she claimed that she could tell the virgins from those that were 'fooling around'. Her teachings were very biased and she pounded into our heads that her way was the right, and only, way. [I don't agree.]

I think that sex education is a class that should be forever required because you can't learn all you need to know from a TV screen or a puberty book.

I say a wavering "yay" because My Robot seems pretty intellegent but maybe slightly immature. I'm not sure if this user will become a regular, but que sera sera.

We still need a verdict on this person.

Hmm, well that's the biggest slap to the face I've gotten, as a moderator of this guild.

And oh yea, I give that Vlad guy a yay, too.

The tease sucks. Why even ask for an interveiw...unless she only wanted one of our schemxy banners?

biggrin Vlad is nifty, I've spoken with him through PM. He's very cool. So cool in fact, that in the event that he is accepted into the guild, I've made him a banner. heart

I would like to nominate elrin_02 for membership. Having ******** him many times, I can say with confidence that he is both a pervert and intellectual. He just graduated from lawschool and also has two degrees in materials science.

I would also like to put in a good word for dwarfshorty. He's a nice guy and likes arguing about things, and was commenting earlier today that it'd be nice to have a guild to debate with me in. He is probably also perverted.
