wow, um...at my school the cheerleaders and band members are usually friends. So at football games we play the hey song, and the cheerleaders sing with it and cheer along. We actually have songs that the cheerleaders have routines with that the band can play. I think it's awesome, because I use to dispise cheerleaders.

Because when we cheer, the people cheer with us, but not with the cheerleaders. xD

In my school, just about all the sports teams hate or dislike the marching band. They're just jealous that we are just that much better and it really only takes one or two of us to drown them out or something.<---Cheerleaders

The cheerleaders and the bandat my school kind of have to fight for the next timeout. Like, whoever is fast enough to get ready. Then, when the cheerleaders ar doing some weird drill thing, half the kids in Band and sometimes even the BD get to doing it. rofl It's funny. We don't hate each other tho. There is this one cheer that the cheerleaders and the Band usually do together. They're alright. 3nodding

ForeverPriestess hm...the cheerleaders at our school have a wide range of reasons to hate the band members....like the fact that I taught my piccolo/flute section rather...ahem...crude alternitave lyrics to their cheers....and the whole band has a a dance that the cheerleaders do that we screw up really bad and perform every game...oh, that and we tp'ed the captain'c car. xp our band kinda did the same thing..except the tipping of the car........ that and some of the cheerleaders at our school usually act like "dumb blondes" {no offense to any blondes....not referring to any of u!!!!} that and we get dates about 10x's faster than they do smile

At our school, I'm not sure if the cheerleader s hate the band, i think it's the other way around. (i, for instance, would think it funny to hit a cheerleader w/ my sousaphone and my freind agrees.) Ther cheerleaders do one dance, the hand dance, and whenever they do it, the ENTIRE band turns around and faces the wall.

We purposely start cheers to annoy them. And it would be funny to hit them with your sousaphone. Just don't break it.

Chiun it's cause no matter how loud they cheer a single trumpet player can drown them out.... also they are jealous of the lip and tounge control that band people have...cept the drummers...and they have fast hands.... lol so jealous! sry cheerleaders. we kick your unbrassy little butts!

cheerleading isn't even that hard, except for the backflips, but only two or three of the girls know how to do them anyways!
im a fullblown athlete, i do sports all three seasons, and i can tell you that it's an embaressment to me and my fellow athletes that those girls get varsity letters at the end of their season. It makes the athletic part of me sick to my stomach.
