I heart TRUMPETS :3

Hi everybody! i have 2 trumpets, and it might be weird but i named them! Clarice was my first and favorite trumpet, a gold/brass mix Bach, and Lilith was my second, a silver Yamaha with quartz valve tops. Don't tell Clarice, but i think Lilith looks better xP
so, have any of you guys/girls named your trumpets?
i would feel kinda weird if i was the only one who named my instrument... lol

i named ,mine too.My clarinet is named Claire,how genius i know..,and my trumpet is named bob,idk I'm random like that. biggrin come on u guys admit it we've all named our instrument(s)!!

I enjoy how we, as Trumpet players (Yes, I consider Trumpet to be a proper noun, thus the capitalization) can argue and fight with each other over the littlest things and then still be good friends later.

It's like when you punch your friend in the face and then after you fight for a couple of minutes you go out and have a beer.

At my school we are the perverted a*****e section. At least that's what everyone thinks we are, we are really pretty nice but everyone else is stupid.

I would kill for a new trumpet right now... XP

I'm using a Bach TR300 that's survived 4 years of concert band and 3 of marching band. o.o Not to mention 2 years in a soft case, traveling in the band semi, and back and forth between home and school... plus everywhere else in between.

It got stepped on once at practice this last season. My first year it got kicked from the fifty to the fourty five... the tuning slide has come out at a football game (and I had to lie at the sideline and play that show, and there where people looking right at me, just feet in front of me and I couldnt play!!!)

It's also been squished with an alto sax hard case. -_- The bell was bent pretty bad sideways and my band director had to bend it back over his knee then take out a dent (well, sort of take out a dent) with a drumstick.

But, I love the thing, even if it is something I'd gladly trade in for something shiny that I could polish. XD I'm 4th chair, and out of the top 6 chairs in my section, I'm the only trumpet player with a trumpet thats NOT a Bach Stradivarious. But its worth it, because I'm still the highest placed freshman.

What is the highest note you can play? =P

I can hit a high D or E above the staff right now, as a freshman, I've been able to hit the C above the staff for about a year, but now that range is finally expanding a little

i can hit an F above the staff smile and i'm a clarinetist with not even a single year of serious brass experience.
