Did I mention the Dresden short stories in various supernatural anthologies?

l-lellboy Ms. Selina Kyle If I want to read a tragic love story involving a vampire a girl knows she shouldn't get involved with, I'm going to read Companions of the Night. If I'm going to read an erotic story involving werewolves, I'm going to read Blood & Chocolate. If I want a vampire romance with a happy ending, I'm going to read Sunshine. ninja *sneaks off with a list of new books to find* Please ignore the description for Sunshine on Amazon. It's wildly inaccurate and even unpleasent. Just know this: Quote: Rae, nicknamed Sunshine by her stepfather, is the baker at her family’s coffeehouse. She’s happy getting up at 4 am to make cinnamon rolls for the breakfast rush, and dealing with people and food all day. But one evening she needed somewhere she could be alone for a little while, and there hadn’t been any trouble out at the lake for years. She never thought of vampires. Until they found her.

The only OMGVAMPIREz book I've ever read and truly enjoyed was Dracula.
Is that too generic to state?

I tried reading Dracula a few times when I was younger, it never really stuck. My problem may have been that I was 15 at the time. I should really give it another shot.

I've read it three times: Once in Jr. High, once in High School, and once in College. It's gotten better every time, so I say give it another go!

Romance and Vampires is getting old, much like Zombies. I'm both ashamed that I wrote a vampire story back in highschool, and glad that i never fished it. Look back on it today, I want to hit myself in the head with a brick. I was 16 at the time, and way too much into anime, even more so with Hellsing and Vampire Hunter D. So you can understand how bad that must have been.
Now I did read Dracula back in highscool as well. I though it was good over all.

So, I'm thinking that in the near future, I'm going to break down and get a DS. Not sure what game to get with it, though.

My DS recommendations:
All the Phoenix Wright games (duhhhhhh) - Play them in order
Hotel Dusk - An interactive mystery novel
Professor Layton and the Curious Village - Roleplay/puzzle game
NinjaTown - Sort of like Final Fantasy Tactics in that it's a defense-building game, except with adorable ninjas protecting their homes from wee devils. Surprisingly hard in the later levels.
Legend of Zelda: the Phantom Hourglass (but only if you're not prone to throwing your DS when frustrated)
Trauma Center and Trauma Center 2: Under the Knife (but only if you're REALLY not prone to throwing things when you're frustrated) - A surgery simulation game that seems easy at first...until you're doing surgery...in the dark...in a moving car...with a gun to your head...
Castlevania games - awesome time wasters
Chrono Trigger - but only if you REALLY loved and miss the original or if you never played it and like Final Fantasy-type games.

I shall keep these in mind. I was also considering one of the Poke-games.

Yeah, the newest one of those comes out later this month, but to be perfectly honest, unless it's radically different then the last six Pokemon games, I'm going to pass. I don't care about the online capabilities and I find myself losing interest in these games once they hit the "You gotta ramp up 10 more levels before you can challenge the next boss" point.
