However, to be able to propel himself forward with chakra would mean...he'll have to put in more effort and channel more chakra. Focusing, Shinratsu drew energy from his body's cells, combining it with energy of the spirit to meld chakra. He directed the chakra to his feet, yet not allowing them to reach the soles; merely have the chakra wrap around his feet. The tiny bit of Hyouton chakra allowed the chakra to become visible... Shinratsu found this method more helpful. The chakra paths has to circulate, just like the chakra channeled around the soles of the feet... Shinratsu reminded himself, alternating the chakra circulation in accordance to his observations. Now build up the pressure... Came the next self-command.
Like normal sprinting, this required building up energy. Yet, in this case...it wasn't physical energy being built up but rather chakra, energy of the spirit. Shin had no idea that he was treading on ground highly similar to the Senju clan's Gouwan...except they required more fiercely strict chakra control... Hashirama really indeed was a genius, to apply typical everyday chakra control and forge a totally different fighting style.

"I'm glad to see that you're fine and dandy Chronos-kun! Well...since Giglamesh-sensei is busy now and Keiko-sensei is sleeping...maybe I can help you out on it, but I'm going to go train with Rai and Giglamesh-sensei soon." She would place the chakra into her feet and walk upon the water like she was doing it on land. "It's really aggravating at first but you'll get the hang of it." Her vision was really blurry and distorted with her goggles on, the water seeped into it some how...but would taking it off the goggles and training with giglamesh be the best Idea? She wouldn't want a hunk of steel that was a sword to get her at the eyes.

His first trail was a success. Shinratsu had built up the chakra flow around his feet, until the build-up of chakra felt comfortable enough, and released it to propel himself forward on the water. About four or five feet... The boy calculated, eyeing the ripples in the part he was at just a moment before. Not bad. Shinratsu began musing again, this time on what other applications he could put this concept into use. Using chakra to enhance jumps... The boy noted to himself. Closing his pale gray-blue eyes, he clearly recalled the shinobi of Kiri when duty called...leaping to insane heights from building to building, sometimes touching the walls or ridged branches of the taller trees...but most of the time, it was simply using chakra to enhance jumps.
But a rookie Genin would have more trouble, lacking the older Chuunin and Jounin chakra control. Thus, it would logically take longer to prepare for using chakra to enhance speed...or at least, technically, until they got the hang of it. He was really beginning to wish there was a tree or two in Iwa... Perhaps he can find that strange Sannin later and get him to grow one.

But then again, if he got the hang of this experiment...actual chakra climbing would mean almost nothing. And he could advance onto the final challenge on chakra control: climbing smooth, slippery walls. And well, if it was some sort of fortune...the latter was...quite abundant in Iwa. Actually, all of the buildings were made of various types of stones and solid rock. But if he is diligent enough with practice, it would be a breeze, a piece of cake...considering water walking was actually supposed to require chakra climbing as a prerequisite. Cunningly, Shinratsu did not face the assignment head on but sly as usual, approached by observing it from all angles. A hunter with a clear mind after all would be better to approach his prey... No, a hunter would be able to better approach his prey if he had first observed.
Perhaps he should repeat this experiment again, except this time with building the chakra to uncomfortable levels. It would probably allow him to travel further in distance too... Though, simply just for the sake of not accidentally damaging his chakra system...Shinratsu noted to himself to just keep it under check. He had no intention of landing himself thrice in the hospital like Cronos...

Yet, that first trail...the distance traveled was nowhere as nearly significant to that of the older shinobi Shin had watched back in Kiri. The older shinobi were capable of jumping to stellar heights...not even exerting much effort. Back in Kiri, Shinratsu had often pored over books and learned how interestingly enough, the Kazekage tower of Sunagakure no Sato forces young Genin to master chakra control...or otherwise, be forced to climb a hellish amount of stairs. Of course, since it was considerably easier to scour the walls and Genin squads meet often to report in for new missions, the rookie Genin grew quite...eager. Of course, there were famous tales of how the Jounins of Konoha introduced chakra control to their own squads and in Kiri, Shin had often heard the Jounin squad leaders were...quite brutal. Students barely out of the Academy, yet they would be tossed into the great ocean...expected to survive on their own...
With the demand of either successfully learning water walk or take a nice dip with the sharks... Shin didn't even bother gracing Cronos' crude, undignified words at failing on his first try. The other would have never survived in his home village...and even compared to this, Shinratsu wasn't all too impressed with his own progress. Learning here in Iwa was peaceful, well...mostly...if Gig was to be considered an Iwagakurian now, despite being foreign born. But surely, it was nothing like putting one's life to the line on a dangerous swim with the sharks.
A cold smirk tugged at his lips. If he had been the one to be sent swimming to the sharks, he'll give them a lesson to remember - only one a Hyouton clansman would be capable of.

12/70 chakra control DC 82 +2 from rai distraction chakra control: 80+14=94
Giglamesh would see both rai and his water clone comeing, it was pretty ease to tell the water clone from the real rai because as it moved it looked like it was made of water, its joints moved fluently as if it didnt have bones, not to emntion one of the eye had rolled back in clones head, he had made a water clone...however it much more coudlnt of been expected by a genin. giglamesh would just grin, as as both there swings came in. Giglamesh would slide his left foot and with absolute ease corkscrew between both there attack with what looked like couldnt of been with much more ease. Then mid air above them and to rais right, the clones left giglamesh would slash the blade again, a blast of wind would press past them, it wassent strong enough to hurt rai but proably enough to pop the water clone, the blast of wind would continue to the shore there giglamehs at hundreds of different points would cause the wind to seperte and trail of focous chakr to those poitns much like blade and many deep slashes would appear in the sand, soil clones and on the canyins wall, they were much deeper this time around two inces deep but still the didnt completly cut threw the stone dummies as he was trying but he would get it with time no problem.
Giglamesh would land still ready to defend agisnt it would seem rai now but that only made it funner and that what he wanted, this time he would consentrate chakra in to the blade watching him waiting for him to move holding the blade out to his die on his right hand, he was ready to evade any thing the boy had to throw at him and counter with the wind agin, while he wassent trying to hurt him it was now the way he wanted to pratice this new jutsu on defensive instead of ofensive so he could adapt more to the weight of the hokogiri as well as become faster and to top off the cake learn a new bad a** jutsu once he mastred it it would prove to be a extremly dangerous weapon in his hands.

Shin could see now why chakra control was so important...especially to a clan like his, with a dangerous kekkai genkai that could be hazardous to their own wellbeing. Shinratsu glanced down at his gauntleted hands, or more, to his left. He always found it highly ironic...how his particular Hyouton creation branch had and didn't have the natural immunity to their own ice-based techniques. It was like...kami-sama had given them the natural ability to...but they wouldn't be able to harness it until later growth.
The challenge was to survive until latter growth...thankfully, his clan...also experting in the smithing tradition, had come up with a mediator: chakra-repressing gloves.
Most Genins did not come to know their second affinity until the rookie Chuunin level. But Shin already knew what his was...it wasn't necessary. Hyouton limit meant dual mastery of wind and water styles. Yet...his clan...somewhere in nature, their wind and water affinities had gotten irrevocably mixed...into an unnatural affinity...more unfortunately, to the side vital to life...to the side closest to the heart. But kami-sama had granted them wind affinity still...as if offering a chance to balance their dangerous limit out.
The chakra repressing gauntlets were only there for the children, who had no idea of chakra control... But Shinratsu now understood...or at least he believed he did. For his clan, it was a constant battle of chakra control...to balance their ice chakra throughout the body as evenly as possible, in order to minimize self-damage.
Even if he had found this dull, he would have to learn to enjoy it...considering, being part of a Ninjutsu clan, perfecting chakra control will be a constant battle until achieving success...

As his understanding of chakra control became more set in stone, Shinratsu was much more confident on learning actual Jutsus as well... He did not know of his chakra limitations...perhaps it would be best if he study his own limits first, work on perfecting chakra control initially, before concentrating on either Ninjutsu or if he was too short on chakra, go into the Genjutsu field. As for hand-to-hand combat...though his clan did develop somewhat of a ranged Taijutsu style, he'll still have to find one that...perhaps more preferably...didn't use chakra. No, it wasn't based on mere paranoia that his Hyouton limit might act up unconveniently but rather on his own calculations, just in case chakra becomes a problem. Hyouton creation techniques were powerful but they were also stamina-demanding...just as their aim is to drain at the stamina of their opponents.
Shin wouldn't know this kind of thought was what particularly made several Konoha clans famous, the simple ability to calculate so sharply...and analyze so damn well. But no matter. He'll have to be careful in choosing the fields he would want to master... Shin was skeptical about medical ninjutsu unless his chakra control became really stellar...some fuuinjutsu techniques may become useful...

The wind was intense. Rai had never even seen a wind jutsu used. For the clone.. it was all over. Giglamesh had dispersed Rai's jutsu with ease. The clone would look as if it were an evening wind blowing through the rain as it trickled back down to its original source of water. But Raisuke would take the brunt of the wind. He would even cross his arms in front of his face to try and shield himself from the wind a bit. But the effort would be in vain. He would be pushed under the water into the river with incredible force. Some of the air was sucked down with him. Then from the displacement in the air, when the water compensated for it, it would shoot up in the air about ten feet. While Rai was under the water, he would form his hand signs trying to form another clone. But by then he was deep enough that he couldn't be seen.
Out of the large splash of water, the clone shot up. Seeming to form right out of the splash itself. Lunging itself and Giglamesh with its right arm drawn back, he would swing to try and strike Giglamesh right between the eyes. Rai held the hand sign under water, trying to control the clone to an even higher degree. He wasn't even really caring how much damage he did. He was trying to impressive his sensei with his tactics while in the heat of battle. A trait that Raisuke saw as important in a shinobi.

13/70 chakra control DC 82 +2 from rai distraction chakra control: 80+19=99!!!!
Giglamesh would see that as rai was throw deep in to the water he didnt redo the water walk technique so instanly he guard was already up, and the as then it was incredibly fat, but the water spash formed in to a water clone. It was done very well but giglamehs massive speed saw it form so he knew it wassent real and as it tried to leap at giglamesh basicly didnt move at all, and the instant before it would hit giglamesh massve blade came crashing down vertical threw the clone, giglamehs chain saw blade sawing stragiht thre the water with no resitance at all, and giglamesh almost wanted this to happen. Gig would ot timed the slash to it was aiming at the direction of shin sending a massive blast of wind in his direction, due to his down ward swing a good portion of the wind was blasted at the water surface which caused a massive split in the water to travle quite rapdily in shin's direction. But to make it worse sicne the wind was actualy faster moving than the parting water suddnely around where shin is giglamehs would extend the wind outwards and intinsify it useing chakra like blades so a good sized area around shin the water would alsmot seem to be slashed from a invisible enemy, the splashes were doen so that the water would spalsh back on the boy. "...Still to good to train with others hunh?" Right about the time he would say that was when the massive water spilt (that thing where boats go threw water) would find it way to where shin was it could of easily beed evaded by him gig just did it to get his attention.
It was easy to say giglamehs was likeing this jutsu already it essentialy increased the range of his katana attacks, and they easily put his Gengetsu Bure-do (Crescent moon blade) and his Jougen Kiritateru (Quarter moon slash) to shame. Both his clan teqhniques made it possible to attack at range with a katana attack but they didnt seem as effective as this one even though they were for a much greater range that dai kamatachi. giglamesh would then ready agin hopefully shin would join they fery with rai makeing it more intertaning for gig. giglamesh would hold the blade up on his right shoulder concentrating chraka threw it makeing dam well not to touch the rotating blade to his shoudler esle cause tremendous damage to him self just by touching him self barely with it they rotated at very high speed and were serated with his chakra control maeking it move so fast. giglamesh didnt seem to bee in a defensive stance but he still was as he was looking ready to predict any of the movement from the attackers looking around constanly analizing.

"All right...Good luck Chronos-kun!" She said with a salute and then went directly to the tiger handsign. Seeing as how Rai was busy with Giglamesh in a battle of the clones, the arrival of the rock clones was amazing. But a battle like this would require one with a handful of jutsus and skill, but trickery was one of her skills...which didn't really exist at all or was that luck of just stealing something from an ignorant merchant? Well that didn't matter at all as she attempted to sneak up on Giglamesh, she focused her chakra as she had the tiger hand seal already. She knew some one who was close to gig and not active at the moment would surely do the trick, a henge no jutsu of Keiko-sensei would of been Ideal for this moment. All though she would have to do this quick as her chakra wasn't the best at all which was stated oh so many timed. "Henge no jutsu." She said to her self as a poof of smoke she would transform as Keiko-sensei to rush towards Giglamesh with a kunai in hand. "All right, this should be a head on shot!" Once arriving at Giglamesh as he was focused on Rai, she would slash at her old sensei.

Rai's clone seemed to just fold outward around Giglamesh's blade. Then the wind that it produced seemed to make the clone break into hundreds of pieces. This would have served as a distraction. As Rai climbed out of the water and recomposed himself. He had to hold his breath for a little while, so he was on a knee, kneeled on top of the water. Starting to use the water walking like it was a natural thing. But he was gasping to take oxygen back into his lungs. He knew the sounds would give him away. So he would start leaping back away from giglamesh as rapidly as he could, trying to compose himself. He wasn't the greatest at holding his breath.

Cronos moved focused and slowly made his way about 4 feet on to the rushing water of the river. He felt the cool spray of water against his back. He was hovering on the top of it like it was solid ground. "Ok Cronos you got just focus your charka and try to balance"Cronos kept a control over his charka not wanting to make any slight change or else he would fall straight though. Cronos took a deep breath and focused almost in a meditative state not moving he knew if he did he would fall into the water. He breathed in once more "Focus" as he sent more charka to his feet. 10+4=14 fail DC 25
