faolan Athavulf I seem to be an artist, focusing on the fields of drawing/painting/Photoshop and martial arts. I find it interesting that you mention martial arts in the context of art overall -- most would not, though I'd cautiously say that this indicates they have a more limited understanding. Very interesting. What is your style, if you have one? Where I live, the most common is krav maga.

I find it interesting that you mention martial arts in the context of art overall -- most would not, though I'd cautiously say that this indicates they have a more limited understanding. Very interesting. What is your style, if you have one? Where I live, the most common is krav maga. It occurs to me that, to a certain extent, a number of sports could be considered "arts," as well... I actually mulled it over for a bit -- thinking of how passionate people are about both, how liking or disliking a particular example is largely subjective and that while one can learn the structure and techniques involved, there's still long hours and years of practice needed to truly excel... and there are some who just have innate talent -- before my brain woke up and said to me, "Well, duh -- ballet." o_O; I remember reading that krav maga is unique in that its roots are not historical, cultural or philosophical -- the Israeli Army developed the style with the idea that, since all their neighbors basically want to just wipe them right out, soldiers need to be as deadly as possible, no matter the circumstances. The best gun in the world is only a blunt object when you're out of bullets, so there's apparently all sorts of techniques involving holding various types of guns and other weapons and tools aside from just bare-handed fighting. A friend told me early on that her seven-year-old son takes krav, which was a new word to me -- so I looked it up. And ever since, I've joked to her that some women want their sons to be doctors or lawyers, but no... she's priming him for the Mossad. xd Muai Thai looks pretty brutal, though... but it does seem like learning from many styles and adapting things to one's own needs and abilities would be the most practical thing. 3nodding But do you compete at all?

And that is one thing I've never been able to come close to doing. emo I've got a close friend who's very good at it, and for awhile she even tried to teach me... *shrug* Didn't take. Do you have serial dreams, if I might ask?

Just kinda suited me for a while. There's a part that goes "little lune...." and i use to think he was saying little loon. So i put my sn in as loon. Please also include something about yourself that you find interesting: My pipe's name is Casper. He is just a regular ol spoon pipe. But when he's clean he starts off clear and very white, then the more you smoke and the more rez he builds up the bluer he gets. He makes me very happy. When Mary Jane decides to up and leave town and I get into a dry spell Caspers HUGE shotgun makes it real easy to scrap all the rez out so I can smoke that. smile
